I Need to populate a custom field on the additional tab b of an sales order during inbound processing.
I am using the function module idoc_input_orders.

Hi,
As this custom fields are not avaialble in the standard IDOC type, you need to extend the standard idoc type.
Assign custom message type to sextended idoc type.
Maintain Entries in WE57 tcode.
With in the In function module idoc_input_orders, using FIND option, try for CALL CUSTOMER statement,here you will find all teh customer exits availble in the FM where you can maintain logic for filling the custom fields.

Custom fields to Additional tab B in VA01/VA02

Hi ,
We have requirement where we need to add custom fields to the Additional tab B at item level in VA01 t-code.
My doubt is to do this do we need access key? is it not possible with out access key i mean any other way to do so.
If we add those fields in VBAP table will that automatically available in t-code, hope no............
Please let me know the process to add the custom fields ..........

I have created some fields at header level of ERP Order, and the user is available to change them, replicating the information to SAP ECC (using interface LORD II).
All sales item information is treated using RFC ERP_LORD_GET_ITEM_MULTI, available in SAP ECC.
Please check the following point:

Adding custom field in sales tab of BP transaction

Hi Experts,
There is a requirement to add a custom field in sales tab of BP transaction in 'Sales area data', above the field 'Customer group 1'.
Is it possible with BDT,else any other method to handle the procedure.
I think it is not possible with EEWB to add field in this screen of BP. Please correct me if am wrong.

Additional tab in sales order-incompletion log

We have added additional tab in sales order at item level...
But when we try to put the some fields which are available in the additional tab into incompletion log,we are not able to select the respective screen name...
How to add that additional tab in the screen name of incompletion log..
We could give field name,table name,but screen is not availble,,in incompletion log...
When we did recording it gave us fcode as T14 (screen name)
Can u tell us how to bring that screen in the incompletion log

then a list of exits will display for that tcode as well as that package.

For BADI's,
1)goto to tcode SE24 give the CL_EXITHANDLER and display and then double click on the GET_INSTANCE
keep Break point at this location 'call method cl_exithandler=>get_class_name_by_interface'
then the tcode it will trigger there and we can debugg there we can find badi'for that tcode and then remove the break point.
2)Goto to tcode->status->program name->double click on that program will display's
then press crtl+F then cl_exithandler

Screen exit/BADI for adding custom field in IW31/IW32

Hi all,
The requirement is to add the permit field in the Header component of IW31. Searched SDN and found user exit IWO10018 for the same which includes a screen exit.
The activation of the same is adding a tab in the screen while user wants the field under header Component tab.
How this can be done. Any suggestion.

Hi,
You can perform append structure to add your custom field(s)in VBAP table. Next step, go to SE51 (Screen Painter)to modify SAP Program SAPMV45A Screen number 4459 for Additional data A or Screen number 8459 for Additional data B to add your append structure custom fields.
Once the above steps done, you can place your logic to populate custom fields in include program MV45AFZZ. i.e USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP.
At the end, please ensure all program and screen are activated. Hope this will help.

How to populate a custom field of a Std. SAP Tx with BAPI usage 2 Load data

For instance, I created a custom field (say, custom_field_1) on a screen of standard SAP tx(say, ME21N) by using screen exit. And in order to populate the data into it (custom_field_1), will use the Function user exits of this Tx(ME23N).
1) In next step, Where Where I have to add this field, apart from appending the same custom field in EKKO/EKPO table or any other related table; Extending the corresponding IDOC or creating a new Custom ÍDOC type? like What about BAPI?
2) If I got a text file with the data (including the data for this custom_field_1 too) and I have been asked to load it into SAP, then, I decided to use BAPI (say, BAPI_PO_CREATE or CREATE1) to create the data, So, How to handle this custom field, I mean, In which BAPI structure I have to pass this custom_field_1 data? ( Iguess, for some BAPIs EXTENSIONIN structures are provided, sorry if am wrong!)

How to assign a value(populate) a custom field in a PCUI page ?

I am working in SAP CRM on its web interface PCUI.
I have created a custom field "ZZ_NEWFIELD" through EEWB in Business Partner. It is visible in accounts transaction header (crmm_account).
Now if I create an opportunity for this business partner, I want to fetch the value of "ZZ_NEWFIELD" from BP Master and display it in opportunity(header) transaction.
Can someone tell me how to go about it ? I am novice to BSP applications.

As for the weblog you menioned, it just details the method of extending the field and placing it in the IView. I have done it already.
The problem I am facing is to how to populate this field ? I know the source field from where it has to get the data but I dont know the method/code to enable the value in new field placed in the Opportunity header.

Remember that your z-fields must begin with ZZ* in your appends.
Second. With this screens the problem is the same that with other userexits, enhancements, etc...
Check the Note 16466 - Customer name range for SAP objects, it will help you.
When you will do an upgrade or you will apply support-packages, you must remember to check these objects.
