Generated schema based on ABAP

Hello,
is there any tool for generating schema or picture based on ABAP like UML diagram, DFD, etc.?
I have the business requirement to create a report in non-sap system with the same logic like already done custom report in abap
Best regards
Radek

Please refer Auto generating UML diagrams from ABAP code
I tried to use this technique on a program written using Procedural ABAP but did not find any success. One issue i faced was that I was on SAPGUI 730 and one of the gui components required was available only in SAPGUI 720.
Hope you have better luck.

  • What tech. do I need just to generate PDFs based on ABAP function modules

    Hello,
    We have mySAP ERP 2005 and Enterprise Portal 7. Until know we offered employees (in the portal) to print some "reports" such as travel data and payslip. We used the functionality to convert a spool job into a PDF in this case.
    Now, we want to migrate to a more advanced way of generating the PDFs with the following advantages:
    - template based design, better maintenance thus
    - richer formatting
    - option for integrating graphics
    Our current technology is hard to maintain (mostly write() based reports...).
    We do NOT want interactive forms as discussed here - but is it the same technology to use? I heard that you need a dedicated Adobe server for this and far as I know we just have a more or less default installation of mySAP ERP 2005 plus EP7 (so adding servers or other modifications e.g. opening new network ports should be avoided...).
    When developing new PDFs, I want to go shure that we are using an up-to-date technology. I do not know if perhaps we should vote for Smartforms?
    Instead of ABAP report we have function modules, so the technology should be able to call them in any way (directly, RFC or even JCo).
    Thanks for any advice, regards,
    Timo

    Hello,
    yes the SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe is the way to go, also in case of print forms.
    The ADS can run on your existing J2EE engine, as long as it is installed on a plattform, what is released for ADS. http://service.sap.com/PAM
    Kind regards,

  • How to generate schema from designer?

    I have the following problem - my application is intended as development tool, e.g. laike Oracle warehouse builder or so. So - the main part will be graphical designer, which imports the structure of existing database and then user can draw the structure of additional database schema (and maybe - the user can specify some mappings and/or relationships in some other way as well) and then - my application will generate schema based on these drawings (e.g. my application can generate SQL statements like create table and so on and then - execute them).
    My current plan is to use UML (or EMF, maybe together with database modelling profile if available) designer from Eclipse as the main part of application and then the SQL generation I can organize in code (where the UML drawing I can access as tree of code instances) ro even - if there is one available - I can define transformation from UML database profile to SQL code (in manner of MDA - model driven architecture, as advised by people from IBM Rational). I think - this should be pretty optimal use of already available free-source technologies... I have intention to use this for Oracle database only, so - I have no intention to make tool that can definitely work with any SQL-standard compliant database.
    I only wanted to check - what are your thoughs about this. Now I wonder - does Oracle offer some framework for building developer productivity tools as I described. It could be quite logical - because Oracle itself should have some kind of platform e.g. for building its Warehouse Builder and so on - why not open this platform for wider use? So - I wanted to just check - if there some alternative (more appropriate for Oracle) available instead of using Eclipse.

    Thanks for the schema generation task info.
    I found that OAS 10.1.3 is not Java EE 5 compliant (at least not yet), so it's only got JAXB 1.0. Hence my JDev library problem and the schema generation confusion were both from the same cause.
    Thanks.

  • Generate Adobe Interactive Form with XML Schema-Based Interface

    Hi,
    I need to generate a adobe Interactive but with XML Schema-Based Interface, i have one example but with ABAP Dictionary-Based Interface.
    CALL FUNCTION 'FP_JOB_OPEN'
      CHANGING
        ie_outputparams       = fp_outputparams
    * EXCEPTIONS
    *   CANCEL                = 1
    *   USAGE_ERROR           = 2
    *   SYSTEM_ERROR          = 3
    *   INTERNAL_ERROR        = 4
    *   OTHERS                = 5
    CALL FUNCTION 'FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME'
      EXPORTING
        i_name     = 'ZMMDM_CL'
      IMPORTING
        e_funcname = fm_name.
    But when i call the next function for print i need the docxml parameter and i don't know how to get it
    fm_name
    CALL FUNCTION fm_name
      EXPORTING
       /1BCDWB/DOCPARAMS        = fp_docparams
    *    /1bcdwb/docxml           =
    * IMPORTING
    *   /1BCDWB/FORMOUTPUT       =
    * EXCEPTIONS
    *   USAGE_ERROR              = 1
    *   SYSTEM_ERROR             = 2
    *   INTERNAL_ERROR           = 3
    *   OTHERS                   = 4

    1) this questions was asked many times before, you didn´t search for a second
    2) I am not aware of any standard solution
    3) custom solution: use XSLT transformation ID to get XML from the filled DDIC structure and use string operations to add the header and footer to create a valid XML.

  • Call XML Schema based Adobe form from ABAP Program

    Hi,
      I have a scenario where an online Interactive form is designed and its working fine. Now i have a requirement to call the same Adobe form from a report for viewing purpose. Since it is XML Schema based Interface, is it possible to call the same form instead of creating a new one with the same template? Because i tried to call the same Adobe form by passing the values and converting those to XML(By Creating Transformation). Then i converted the XML to XSTRING and passed to the Generated Function Module for Input paramter "/1bcdwb/docxml". This resulted in an error "com.adobe.ProcessingException: com.adobe.Processin".
    Please help me out in solving this and check the attachment for code.
    Thanks,
    Raj

    Hi,
    outputparams-NODIALOG   = 'X'.
    outputparams-PREVIEW     = 'X'.

    CALL FUNCTION 'FP_JOB_OPEN'
      CHANGING
        ie_outputparams = outputparams
      EXCEPTIONS

        usage_error     = 2
        system_error    = 3
        internal_error  = 4
        OTHERS          = 5.
    and Now call the generated function module
    pass the following in docparams
    docparams-langu = 'E'.
    docparams-country = 'US'.
    and finally close the job.
    It should work.

    Hi,
    Can you point out what the error is exactly??
    Also on a general note try the following:
    1)Right click on the project, go to Add> Add generated Items
    2)Select Generate Schemas
    3) Select the required document type and provide the path to the xml and click OK
    If you have not installed the WFX module, you will get below highlighted error.
    'WFX to XSD schema generation module is not installed. Execute 'C:\Program files (X86)\Microsoft Biztalk Server 2010\SDK\Utilities\Schema
    Generator\InstallWFX.vbs to install the WFX to XSD schema generation module.(Path to the Biztalk Installation folder may vary)
    So go ahead and register the module as it needs to be registered for the first time do remember to execute this vbs script as an
    Administrator  if the normal execution fails.
    I tried generating the xsd using your schema and I was successful(I tried it using the Well Formed XML as the document type).
    Hope this helps

  • How to handle tables data in XML schema based adobe form

    Hi all,
    I am working on the CRM business partner creation by using Interactive adobe form with following steps:
    1) Uploaded the offline Interactive adobe form  to online interactive adobe form via WebDynpro ABAP;
    2) Capture XML data into corresponding BAPI structures;
    3) Save all the changes to database via BAPI.
    The adobe form contains customer information as well as several table views which are bind with the context created in WebDynpro: Node NEW_BP_NODE cardinality 1:1 with single attributes and table type attributes (1:n): COLOUR_COMP, MEN_COMP etc.
    While converting the xml format data to SAP context format, It is fine to use following routine to find the single attribute and map to the BAPI structure to do the database update.
    NODE = DOCUMENT->FIND_FROM_NAME( NAME = 'XYZu2019).
    XYZ = NODE->GET_VALUE( ).
    Question: how to convert the xml table data to SAP context format in WebDynpro ABAP?
    The XML table data looks like below.

    Hi,
    Just follow these steps:
    1. Create interactive form UI element in your view.
    2. Now provide Datasource and PDFSOURCE to it in form properties.
    3. Now give a template name prefix with 'Z' or 'Y'.
    4. Double click on it. It will prompt for interface name.
    5. Provide interface name prefixed with 'Z' or 'Y'.
    6. Click on Context button in the Pop up window and provide the node you have selected as DATASOURCE.
    7. Click ok and it will open the form designer.
    8. In this way you can create a XML Schema based Form.
    9. Activate the interface and design the form providing layout type and other details.
    Hope it will help.

  • Issues while generating Schema DAT files

    We are facing two type of issues when generating Schema ".dat" files from Informix Database on Solaris OS using the
    "IDS9_DSML_SCRIPT.sh " file.
    We are executing the command on SOLARIS pormpt as follows..
    "IDS9_DSML_SCRIPT.sh <DBName> <DB Server Name> ".
    The first issue is ,after the command is excuted ,while generating the ".dat" files the following error is occuring .This error is occuring for many tables
    19834: Error in unload due to invalid data : row number 1.
    Error in line 1
    Near character position 54
    Database closed.
    This happens randomly for some schemas .So we again shift the script to a different folder in Unix and execute it.
    Can we get the solution for avoiding this error.
    2. The second issue is as follows..
    When the ".dat" files are generated without any errors using the script ,these .dat files are provided to the OMWB tool to load the Source Model.
    The issue here is sometimes OMWB is not able to complete the process of creating the Source Model from the .dat files and gets stuck.
    Sometimes the tables are loaded ,but with wrong names.
    For example the Dat files is having the table name as s/ysmenus for the sysmenus table name.
    and when loaded to oracle the table is created with the name s_ysmenus.
    Based on the analysis and understanding this error is occuring due to the "Delimiter".
    For example this is the snippet from a .dat file generated from the IDS9_DSML_SCRIPT.sh script.The table name sysprocauthy is generated as s\ysprocauthy.
    In Oracle this table is created with the name s_ysprocauthy.

    Hello Rajesh,
    Thanks for your prompt reply. Please find my findings below:
    *) Have there been any changes in the extractor logic causing it to fail before the write out to file, since the last time you executed it successfully? - I am executing only the standard extractors out of the extractor kit so assumbly this shouldnt be a issue.
    *) Can this be an issue with changed authorizations? - I will check this today, bt again this does not seem to be possible as the same object for a different test project i created executed fine and a file was created.
    *) Has the export folder been locked or write protected at the OS level? Have the network settings (if its a virtual directory) changed? - Does not seem so because of the above reason.
    I will do some analysis today and revert back for your help.

  • Can't insert schema-based xmltype into binary xmltype table

    I'm having issues trying to use binary storage along with the ALLOW ANYSCHEMA clause. I can't use the XMLSchema-instance mechanism for creating my schema-based XMLType instances, so I'm using CreateSchemaBasedXml. ORA-06512: at line 10You can see from my put_line statement that the XMLType object is reporting its schema URL correctly and thinks it's been validated. Changing the table to "ALLOW NONSCHEMA" allows the insert, but it inserts it as a non-schema-based document. Am I skipping a step here?
    Thanks,

    It might be a bug, but I am not yet sure...

  • Accessing schema-based XML table

    HI Gentlemen,
    I have a schema-based XMLtype table that I have to query in detail (e.g. via XPath). Documentation states that XML mapping is possible through some Java programming. However, I do not have XML content in a .xml file, it has already been loaded into Oracle DB (that is - non-JAXB)!
    Can anybody recommend a sample code or description of the technology?
    Thanks, regards from
    Miklos HERBOLY

    Your xml document may by represented as an column, you will got the content as other attributes.
    You will not be able to manage the structure of your document natively via the adf layer ... you may marshall/unmarshall the content into a class you build with jaxb or with castor by example (much better interface and classes).
    Note that you will be able to generate a data control from the class that represent the document and use the elements (and/or attributes) of your sturcture in your web pages by drag and drop like for columns in a table.
    Hope this help a little bit

  • XML Schema based form in webdynpro

    Hi I have existing webdynpro which is having an interactive form view. The form is XML schema based.
    I want to create the same webdynpro with different data structure and different interactive form.
    Do i need to create the form with XML schema or do i need to do that from Webdynpro side which will generate the XML Schema automatically.
    Can you please help.
    Nik

    Thanks Amit,
    It as a really a good help for me to understand the process of creation of form from Webdynpro.
    Let me explain you the problem in detail:-
    There is an webdynpro application where  7 forms are added using differents views for each form (created through webdynpro) with different interfaces. That means in all the forms i found XML Schema based interface.
    One for the forms view for surround frame form ZFORM1 (using a structure  ZSTR1 of 20 fields in the interface ZINT1 is there)
    An adobe form Developer created a new form ZFORM2 by copying this ZFORM1. That means ZFORM2 is also using the same interface ZINT1 (we can also say same structure ZSTR1 ).
    No view was created to use this form.
    Now before creating the view & add  it in the WD aplication, for this ZFORM2 Client want to delete 2
    fields & 2 new fields for this form ZFORM2.
    I created a new structure ZSTR2 ( as per the fields required) Now i am thinking of to create a new form ZFORM2 using this structure ZSTR2 in the context of my new View .This will create a new interface ZINT2 (XML schema based)
    But this is a very time consuming process as the form ZFORM2 created by the developer earlier has so many java scripting code. he took 2 months to develop it. and i dont have that much time.
    I am sure there must be some other way to fix this problem.
    Can anyone give me the proper solution .
    Cheers,
    Nik

  • Efficient reverse proxy for Schema based BizTalk webservices

    I've got a few webservices hosted on BizTalk I'm wanting to expose with a reverse proxy.
    Checking through this article it seems there is some disconnect.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/cc748658.aspx
    The article outlines how to do this with a webservice generated from an orchestration. But I created my webservices from schemas. The structure of my asmx.cs doesn't appear to be the same. See Figure 8 in the article.
    When I try to do
    AZDHS_AIE_Internal.AIE objWebServiceMethodCall new AZDHS_AIE_Internal.AIE();
    objWebServiceMethodCall.Url = "real URL goes here";
    There is no Url member inside the instance of AIE that is created. It is the proper class which contains the web methods, so I was surprised to not see it there.
    Anyone else tried to get this scenario working before? I'm not finding much resources for schema based webservices, only orchestration based ones.

    Alright, got it working.
    Here the short story of how to get this working. Make a copy of the generated webservice solution from BizTalk. In it you'll see there is a
    DataTypes.cs class.
    Next, you'll generate a proxy class of the target webservice using the visual studio command line wsdl tool (wsdl http://url/svc.asmx?wsdl). Make sure this class is named differently than the actual webservice is since that is the same
    name you've got in the BizTalk generated webservice solution.
    In the new proxy class replace the return and parameter types in the web methods to be the corresponding types in the
    DataTypes.cs class.
    In the BizTalk webservice code go to your web method where it currently puts the received message into the messagebox database. There you will create a new instance of the new proxy class and call the corresponding web method, which now has the same type
    definition in both the proxy class and the BizTalk generated class.
    And that's all. Build and deploy to a server anywhere with access to the actual BizTalk server and your calls will bounce off the webserver and go to BizTalk.
