How come my albums in iPhoto don't sync with iPhone?

Hi
Something very frustrating I've been dealing with for a while now is photo albums.
How come when I make an album in iPhoto, I cant have it on my iPhone; and when I make an album on my iPhone I can't have it on my iPhoto???
This doesn't make any sense to me. Does anyone know if I'm missing something, or is this really the nature of these devices?
Its such a waste of time for me.

What system do you have on your Mac? To share photos in Photo Stream the Mac must be running 10.7.5 or newer and iPhoto 9 or later while the phone must be running iOS 7. For Shared Photo Streams the Mac must be running 10.8.2 or later. Do your devices meet those requirements?

Address book pictures don't sync with iPhone?

I have contact photos in my Address book on my laptop that I would like to transfer to my iPhone. I've tried several things like changing the photos and contact details to try and enable my iPhone to see the contact change and transfer the info but to no avail. I've tried to force sync in iTunes. Not sure why the pics don't transfer. Any suggestions?

Figured it out... You have to double click the image in Address book (on computer) to edit the photo. Then force sync with iPhone. Then they will show on iPhone. And then... if you want the images on the iPhone to show up large when someone calls. You have to go in and edit the image on your iPhone contacts- set the photo. And finally after all that... you get sync pics with Address book.

Downloaded album in itunes will not sync with iphone

I copied several albums into itumes and synced with my iphone. Three albums did not sync. I tried several time and even tried to sync all music. The same three albums will not sync. They do play from itunes on my computer. Thoughts?

IPhoto will not sync with iPhone 4

Some pictures, including ones taken with my iPhone, won't transfer back to the phone after syncing with iPhoto, putting in folders, etc... It only happens with select photos so I can't find a common problem. Any suggestions?

Which updates are these? For iPhoto or for you phone's operating system?
If you plan on upgrading iPhoto it will require a purchase of the iLife 11 disk from a 3rd party retailer like Amazon.com
or
upgrading your MBP to Mavericks and downloading the latest version, 9.5, from the App Store for free.

Contacts in my Address Book on my iMac don't sync with iPhone

I'm a real newbie to my iPhone 4S, so I'm sure this is something that should be really obvious to fix. Searching for an answer has not helped.
I have an Exchange account in Mail and all the contacts in that account show up as Contacts on my phone. However, those are the only Contacts the phone has. None of the Contacts in my Address Book on my iMac were copied over to the iPhone when I sync. What do I need to do that make that happen?

Depending on how your Address Book is organised it may be relatively simple or not, but basically you need to drag the contacts you want to move to On My Mac to your desktop, delete them from Address Book and add them back (double click on the file on your desktop) once you have selected All On My Mac from the groups list.
If you don't have an All On My Mac group, you'll need to go to preferences > general and make set your default account to On My Mac.
You can drag more than one contact at a time so if you have them in groups already it will help, if not you can work through the list of contacts using cmd click to select just the one's you want.
You can turn off the sync with Google and Yahoo from preferences > accounts > On My Mac.
Summary:
Select all the contacts you want to move
Drag them to the desktop
Delete from Address Book
Set default account to On My Mac
Select All On My Mac from groups
Double click the file on your desktop

TS4002 iCloud for email is not on my Mac. How can I get email and iCal to sync with iphone and ipad.

iCloud for email is not on my Mac. It should be under Internet and wireless in System Preferences but it is not. Basically I am trying to get iCloud running successfully on my Mac for email and Calendar so that it will sync with my iPad and iPhone. Transition caused my sent mailboxes to rearrange themselves so that I have no comprehensive 'sent' mailbox as I did previously and the view on both incoming and outgoing mailboxes keeps rearranging itself no matter how many times I set preferences. One result is that search function no longer works. Is anyone else having problems like this? All was fine for a week after transition but after having an evening when my password was repeatedly rejected I had to log in and out of iCloud (as directed by tech support) and w/in an hour or so the mailbox problem began.

Notes don't sync with iphone and mountain lion

I upgraded to mountain lion and I cannot get my notes to sync for the life of me. So now I have notes on my iphone and separate notes on my computer. They never sync, so they are virtually worthless. What the heck happened? I don't use iCloud. In the past, I just clicked sync and the notes would be the same on the computer and iphone. Simple. How can I fix this??

Photos in iphoto no longer syncing with iphone

The photos in iphoto are no longer going to my iphone4. I get no error message now, the new pictures I've uploaded to my computer simply don't transfer over. I've been having trouble syncing for a while, and i deleted the photo cache folder a couple of weeks ago, and then it seemed to work for a while. Now it's not again. Any Suggestions?

Can you restore the phone without erasing all the contacts? If so i will do it but I have stuff on there that is not nacked up, ie contacts.

IPhoto does not sync with iPhone over USB anymore

I'm using iPhoto '11 (9.4.2) on OS X 10.8.2 and an iPhone 4S (now with iOS 6.1.2).
A few months ago when I connected my iPhone over USB iPhoto would start and do the expected workflow as it still does when I connect any other camera: Import the new images and delete them on the iPhone.
Since around I installed iOS 6 on the iPhone iPhoto will not start anymore when the iPhone is connected. When started manually it will show the iPhone but not recognize any new images.
I don't (want to) use Fotostream.
I have looked for other answers and the usually suggested restarting / resetting has not helped.

How do I fix screen resolution after I synced with IPhone?

I just purchased an IPad and have synced my apps & such from my IPhone thru ITunes.
But now, all videos and apps are small like they are being viewed on they IPhone and I
have tohit the (x2) button to get them to expand on the screen. BUT....whe this is done
the images/videos are all pixelated and out of focus. Do I have to repurchase everything
just to view it all on the IPad?

There are basically three types of app : iPad only; universal; iPhone/iPod Touch (most of which also work on the iPad).
If there is a separate iPad version of the app (which quite often have HD in their name) then if you want them you will need to purchase them - there is no free download of them, and no trade-up option in the store.
If the apps are universal apps (indicated by a '+' symbol against them in the App Store) then there is one version of the app which has processing within it which recognises the device that it is on and will configure the display accordingly - there is no need to re-download them from the store unless you no longer have them on your computer.
If the app is only designed for the iPhone/iPod Touch then it will still work on the iPad (unless it is one of the few iPhone only apps that require full phone capability) but it will just take up an iPhone sized portion of the screen, unless you press the '2x' button on the screen which will effectively double the size of each pixel in both directions (so therefore may appear pixelated). Again there is no need to re-download.
It is up to the developer whether they want to create one version of the app for all devices (i.e. universal), or whether they make separate iPhone/iPod and iPad versions.
Check that you have the most recent versions of the apps on your iPad by going onto the Updates tab in the App Store app.

How do I get Sony Vaio flip to sync with Iphone

I just purchased the new Sony Vaio Flip and when I plug the USB cable for my iphone 4 the charging bolt flickers on and off. It seems like the connection on both ports is not stable. I tried uninstalling Itunes, but this does not work as it continues to flicker uncontrolably. I also, tried looking in device management for the USB drivers, if the the iphone is plugged it keeps refreshing-consistent with the flickering. I also unplugged the device and checked all the drivers and they are up to date. I don't think it's a windows 8 issue because the same phone and cable combination is working fine with my home computer that is also 8 Help, anyone?

IPhoto Won't Sync With iPhone 4

I'm rebuilding my iTunes after it had been deleted. I've connected my iPhone 4, then select my iPhone 4 from the left hand side on iTunes. Under Photos I've selected to Sync Photos from iPhoto. Only one photo gets sync'd, a wallpaper I'd saved the other day. It wont sync all the other photos in iPhoto. Anyone got any ideas?

I am having the same problem. I have had my iPhone 4 since June, and had no problem syncing all my iPhoto pictures before. I noticed this past weekend, when I went to show someone a photo, that the only pictures on my iPhone were ones I had taken with the iPhone. When I went back to sync, all the settings were correct (and in fact, the sync too a long time as iTunes told me it was importing all 3800 of my photos). But they still are not viewable on the iPhone. Interestingly, via iTunes it is reported that I have 7 GB of photos on my phone - but cannot find them.
