How do I remove a DB from shared memory in Solaris 10?

I'm having trouble removing an in-memory database placed in shared memory. I set SHM key and cache size, and then open an environment with flags: DB_CREATE | DB_SYSTEM_MEM | DB_INIT_MPOOL | DB_INIT_LOG | DB_INIT_LOCK | DB_INIT_TXN. I also set the flag DB_TXN_NOSYNC on the DbEnv. At the end, after closing all Db and DbEnv handles, I create a new DbEnv instance and call DbEnv::remove. That's when things get weird.
If I have the force flag set to 0, then it throws an exception saying "DbEnv::remove: Device busy". The shared memory segments do not get removed in this case (checking with `ipcs -bom`).
When the force flag is set to zero, the shared memory is released but the program crashes saying "Db::close: BDB0087 DB_RUNRECOVERY: Fatal error, run database recovery".
What am I doing wrong?

This is curious, since a simple program similar to what is described is known to work. I've modified the standard sample program examples/cxx/EnvExample.cpp C++ to use an in-memory database, DB_SYSTEM_MEM, and DB_TXN_NOSYNC. The "Device busy" symptom occurs if the close of the environment handle is bypassed. I have not been able to reproduce the DB_RUNRECOVERY error.
How does the program's use of Berkeley DB different from what is provided in EnvExample.cpp?
Is it possible to send me the relevant portions of it?

How can I remove safari data from shared iCloud account?

Before iOS 8 and family sharing I was using a single iCloud account shared among several Apple devices in my household. Now that we are all using our own separate Apple Accounts I want to delete shared data from other devices that were using my iCloud account. For example, my wife and I both have data synched with iCloud (the same account) for Safari. Now that her phone has been switched over to her own AppleID, I want to purge the data stored in my icloud account from her device. When I open Safari on my phone, I can see a list at the bottom of tabs that my wife had open on her phone at one time in the past. That list will never get updated now that she is using her own account. So how do I purge old data from other devices off my iCloud account?

If she's on a different account now, Safari data from the previous account should no longer be on her device. iCloud tabs, on the other hand, will persist from a device that is no longer sharing the account for 14 days, after which they are automatically cleared. (This is coming from iCloud, not from her device.) You might try waiting a couple of weeks and see if they aren't automatically removed.
If you're still concerned, you could always ask her to go to Settings>Safari and tap Clear History and Website Data. This won't clear her iCloud tabs from your device though; you'll have to wait for that.

The application "PREVIEW" can't locate files, cancels shutdown. How can I remove these files from PREVIEWS memory?

Does anyone know how I can stop this program from looking for files? Every time I restart PREVIEW gives two errors while it's searching for image files that are no longer there. FYI this is a lingering problem related to the replacement of my hard drive (under recall from apple), iphoto had to be totally rebuilt many times through technical support. Now there's just this program still trying to open phantom images.

You might want to bookmark the command. I had to use it again after I installed 10.8.2. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.

I merged my dad's iphone to my Apple ID a while back because he wants to buy an app and I have some credit left over so I let him used my ID on his device. Apparently, all my contacts, pictures from photo stream, and ical are now also in his device. And all his contacts, pictures, and ical are on mines. How can I remove his device from my icloud and Apple ID WITHOUT deleting anything? Like I just don't want him to get anymore of my reminders and contacts, and pictures? If you mean that she is sharing your iCloud account and you want to migrate her phone to a separate account, start by saving any photo stream photos she wants to keep on her phone to her camera roll (unless already there) by opening her my photo stream album, tapping Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon -- box with upward pointing arrow, then tap Save to Camera Roll. If she is syncing notes with iCloud, you will need to open each one and email them to her so she can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in her new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from her phone, not from iCloud; your device will not be effected by this), choose Keep on My iDevice and provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone. Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create her new account and choose Merge to upload her data.
Once your devices are on different accounts you can each go to icloud.com from your computer and delete the other person's data from your account.

BTW: I think Apple has to clean up some of their evolutionary kruft. AirPlay vs Home Sharing. ATV direct use of Library. iCloud and iTunes match. It takes a lot of thought figuring out how to use Apple's media ecology. I realize its all historic but I bet there are a LOT of confused folks out there.
Just for the record: I decided to use Match .. only $25 or so a year and my phone, pod, pad, tv etc all have access to my complete digital collection. I also love AirPlay. I've started avoiding Home Shairing like the plague! As far as I can tell, it mainly is still around due to the Media Industry placing restrictions on Apple.
