How  Sender SOAP Adapter will retriew the data  to process further

How  Sender SOAP Adapter will  receive the data  to send the integration server to process further

Hi,
1. All details are always taken from the Sender Agreement.
For the Sender File adapter and the Sender SOAP adapter , the details that include are , Sender Service, Sender Interface Name and namespace and these are the details that make up the SOAP header when the message hits the integration Engine.
Once the corresponding Adapter for the message is identified, ie. the Sender SOAP adapter , the message for the SOAP header is then taken from the Sender Agreement of that adapter. This is the exact reason why one Sender Adapter can be involved in one and only one Sender Agreement.

  • TO Get  Ensuring Exactly Once Processing data from sender soap adapt

    To XI Specialists
    Now Im trying to get Ensuring Exactly Once Processing data from sender soap adapteter.
    My plan is that send data from Receiver adapter, to Sender adapter by SOAP.
    (1st interface is ABAP to Soap "BE", 2nd interface is Soap to File "EO")
    Sender SOAP adapter will returun Ensuring Exactly Once Processing data.
    (see SAP HELP, http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/69/a6fb3fea9df028e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm )
    AND I want to get Ensuring Exactly Once Processing data, I want to determine what to do in ABAP proxy.
    SO I made and tested 2interface. but error occuered.
    I checked the error, and Now I know what is the cause.
    The cause is that Ensuring Exactly Once Processing data didnt enter the payload, at Receiver Adapter.
    1st interface coulnt get the payload data, so mapping error occuered....
    Please give me help,
    <b>"How to get Ensuring Exactly Once Processing data From Sender SOAP ADAPTER"</b>
    or
    <b>"How to enter Ensuring Exactly Once Processing data into Payload of Receiver SOAP ADAPTER"</b>
    and more excelent way....
    our XI is version7.0 and SP10
    Please teach me your wisdom!
    Naoki Kurihara

    I seeked and I noticed that
    maybe I catched the message but the message dont have payload.
    so I got no_payload error.
    I checked SAP note.
    I noticed, no_payload error will be managed to nomal message at SP13....
    my XI is SP12....
    I ll seek for another way!!

  • How to catch the sender SOAP adapter http response?

    Hi eXperts,
    I've a sender soap adapter opened to customer as webservice. When customers call this webservice, data is coming into XI and works fine. But the customer is complaining that the expected HTTP 200 response is not sent back to the calling SOAP client.
    So my question is: Is there a way to catch the http 200 response from sender adapter, or at least get to know if the sender adapter has sent the response?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Luis

    Hi,
    If I understood it correcly... Sender is a Async SOAP call and the sender system is expcting a status back of HTTP 200. Are you sure you had set the quality of effort to Exactly Once? If not please try setting it.
    You can also go to Adapter monitoring or Communication channel monitoring in the Runtime workbench and see if the Sender SOAP adapter is fine.

  • How to use Basis Authentication in Sender SOAP Adapter

    We implemented one Sender SOAP Adapter and we had to implement the modified WEB.XML method to remove the security specification.  We have now asked the developer to correct this situation so we can remove this modification.  The Interface developer would like to use Basic Authentication. If you have an automated interface sending in a SOAP Message, how do you do Basic Authentication?
    I've tried using:
    http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:<Service>:<Channel>&sap-user=xiappluser&sap-password=<Password>&sap-language=EN&sap-client=<Client>
    When I do this, I still get the Authentication Pop-Up Window.
    How does the Sending Interface either supply the ID and Password on the incoming SOAP Message or respond to the Authentication Pop-Up?
    Thanks,
    Anne

    By Defualt the web service exposed by you will use Basic Authentication mode only.
    But the way you do Basic Authentication in the web client is platfrom dependent.
    This is not the way to do Basic authentication
    http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:<Service>:<Channel>&sap-user=xiappluser&sap-password=<Password>&sap-language=EN&sap-client=<Client>
    I am providing you a code snippet on how to Basic Authentication in Java when making the Web Service Call.
    If the client is on some other platform just look for the corresponding api.
    Please award points if you find this answer useful.
    Code Snippet
    URL url = new URL(URL);
    URLConnection connection = url.openConnection();
    if( connection instanceof HttpURLConnection )
    ((HttpURLConnection)connection).setRequestMethod("POST");
         //connection.setRequestProperty("Content-Length",Integer.toString(content.length()) );
         connection.setRequestProperty("Content-Type","text/xml");
         connection.setDoOutput(true);
         String password = User + ":" + Password ;
          //Where con is a URLConnection
         connection.setRequestProperty ("Authorization", "Basic " + encode(User + ":"+ Password));
         connection.connect();
    Encode Method
    public static String encode (String source) {
    BASE64Encoder enc = new sun.misc.BASE64Encoder();
    return(enc.encode(source.getBytes()));

  • Sender SOAP adapter: get soap header data

    Hi,
    I've been going through various posts and blogs here on SDN + looked in the how to guide for SOAP adapter, but still find it quite difficult to actually find out how to do it. I've tried to follow recommendations seen, but it doesn't add up.
    So can someone please tell me how to get an element situated in the SOAP header of the request sent to XI via sender soap adapter?
    Let's for instance say the request looks like this:
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
         <SOAP-ENV:Header>
              <SSN>1234567890</SSN>
         </SOAP-ENV:Header>
         <SOAP-ENV:Body>
              <event>
                   <elem1>data 1</elem1>
                   <elem2>data 2</elem2>
                   <elem3>data 3</elem3>
              </event>
         </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    How can I get the data in the SSN-header element at mapping time?
    I'm sure this can be done by using adapter modules as the first step adapter, but I prefer doing it at mapping time if possible.
    Best Regards,
    Daniel

    I solved it on my own now. My missing link was the fact that I'm using XMLSPY to send request and thus need to replace all '&amp;' with & in Connection Endpoint.

  • How to build in user authorisation in sender soap adapter

    HI ,
    how can i built the user authorisation in sender soap adapter. either in a url or somewhere on the server .
    if anyone has an idea do let me knwo
    Thanks
    Nikhil

    Nikhil,
    <b>sender soap adapter</b> is used for ex in the case, u need some data from the DB say of a vendor. U give the name of the vendor in the site, suppose u get the contact address of the vendor from the DB.
    Sender soap adapter sends the soap request from the client to XI and from XI the request is passed to DB.
    With XI, WSDL file is generated and SOAP request is generated for the WSDL file. When the WSDL is deployed on the client application, the authorization is handled.
    For receiver SOAP adapter, it is the otherway round u r getting the data from the DB first and so the authorizations are held in XI.

  • What would be the web servendpoint for a scenario using sender SOAP adapter

    Hi,
    I have setup a scenario to consume a Service interface in SAP namespace. This is a asynch inbound SI which is not point to point enabled which means the WSDL we get are only the definitions with no endpoints. So I exported it as an external definition which I will then use as sender interface so the scenario looks like this:
    Third Party -> SOAP Sender Adapter -> Outbound SI(Imported WSDL) -> XI Box (Mapping etc) -> Inbound SI -> XI Receiver Adapter -> ABAP box
    Once all has been setup, for SOAP sender adapter for third party to send data the URL looks like this.
    http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=party:service:channel
    But I dont think so this is the endpoint beacuse if I give this in browser I only get an OK status from XI box, what should I give to third party they can use as WSDL endpoint to generate the proxy/stub on their side to send data to SAP.
    Regards, Shadab

    This is a asynch inbound SI which is not point to point enabled which means the WSDL we get are only the definitions with
    no endpoints. So I exported it as an external definition which I will then use as sender interface so the scenario looks like this:
    Third Party -> SOAP Sender Adapter -> Outbound SI(Imported WSDL) -> XI Box (Mapping etc) -> Inbound SI -> XI Receiver
    Adapter -> ABAP box
    Inbound (receiver-end) Service Interface is to be developed from an imported WSDL......not the Outbound (Sender-end) Service Interface.....you actually did the procedure which needs to be done when SOAP is at receiver-end.
    If you are clicking the WSDL tab in Service Interface and then taking it as the required WSDL then note that this is not the one.....it is to be generated from ID --> Tools --> Display WSDL (it will be based on the outbound SI)......this will have the end-point which you you mentioned
    Now you give this WSDL to the sender application (it will have the end-point) and ask them to develop their coding accordingly.
    If you need to view that WSDL in explorer, then you have to publish it somewhere....like in Service Registry (or WSnavigator)

  • Can we enhance the Sender SOAP Adapter with our own modules?

    Hi All,
    Can we enhance the Sender SOAP Adapter with our own modules on the Module Tab Page in the Module Processor?
    I believe the answer is no. However, whatever may be the answer, I would like to know that is there any specific reason for that.
    Please help me in this regard.
    Thanks,
    Yogi.

    Hi,
    I think, we are mentioning the URL of the adapter channel directly in the configuration. SO there is no place we can customize this flow..just a thought
    Because in the file adapter etc, After Adapter Engine picks up the data and before it goes into integration engine module is processed..

  • I'm moving an internal hard drive from an old computer to a new computer.  How do I transfer the catalog data to my new computer so the Organizer of Photoshop Elements 6 will find the data on the hard that has been moved to the new computer?

    I'm moving an internal hard drive from an old computer to a new computer.  (My new compute runs Windows 8.1) How do I transfer the catalog data to my new computer so the Organizer of Photoshop Elements 6 will find the data on the hard that has been moved to the new computer?  Is this possible or do I have to use the procedure of copying the catalog along with the photos to a back up hard drive and then restore them on the new computer?

    The 'normal' procedure is to do a PSE organizer backup (not a copy or a backup from external tools) to an external drive, then a restore to the new location.
    The advantage is that you have a backup of both catalog and media files and you don't have all disconnected files, which would happen with external backup tools. Also, if you restore with a more recent elements version, the catalog will be automatically updated to the new format.
    The drawback in your situation is that you'll have either to overwrite all your files or restore to a custom location, creating a duplicate photo library (which supposes you have enough free space).
    It would be possible to simply use the organizer in the old PC to move the catalog to a new 'custom' folder just under your C: root drive. The catalog would be accessible once the drive will be installed in the new PC. Then you would have all files 'disconnected' due to the fact that all your media files are now on a drive with a different letter. Reconnecting a whole library is a hard job with PSE6, less so with PSE11/PSE12.
    If the idea of fiddling with the sqlite database with external sqlite manager tools is ok for you, I can describe the process more in detail. You only copy your catalog folder (as suggested above) to another location. Instead of trying the 'reconnection' way, you install the sqlite utility on the new computer. When the old drive is installed in the new computer, you simply edit a given record in the catalog database, catalog.psedb, and start the organizer with your copied catalog by simply double clicking the 'catalog.psedb' file.
    Even if the last solution is much, much quicker, I would still create a new PSE backup : you have never too much safety .

    Tough Ask..
    Because i have done dashboarding thru scritping (Dyanamic fashion tough) ..It is very good ..But when, coming to the one you asked i have the idea how it works but cannot really tell you wich would be better.
    Each Route has its own limitations.That really depends on what exaclty your client is looking after..
    So if you new to xcelsius and eager to learn ..I suggest you to give a go at all those..May be you can let me know wich is the best one..
    1. QAWS,
    2. Bex Query --> Crystal Reports --> Live office --> DashBoard.
    3. Bex Query --> WebI --> Live Office --> Dashboard..
    4. Webservices consuming BI Query,
    5. Xcelsius SAP Netwever Connector.
    But i suggest as of now use Xcelsius SAP netweaver Connnection...

  • Does the sender SOAP adapter support multiple operations per interface

    Hi guys,

    theoretically Yes.

  • What is the maximum size a sender SOAP adapter can handle?

    Hi,
    I am using sender SOAP adapter and receiver RFC adapter.
    What is the maximum size of request message it can handle efficiently.
    In the current scenario which I need to design , the request XML file could be up to 24 MB.
    Also if you could comment on which would be the best to use as the sender side - SOAP or File Adapter
    when the request message/file is of such size?
    regards
    Arun G

    hi,
    >What is the maximum size of request message it can handle efficiently.
    it totally depends on your hardware and flow design inside XI/PI
    >In the current scenario which I need to design , the request XML file could be up to 24 MB.
    this size is not a lot for a "normal" XI machine but it also depends on the
    volume of those messages - that is if you need to send
    one message like that per day or 1000 per half an hour...
    >Also if you could comment on which would be the best to use as the sender side - SOAP or File Adapter
    when the request message/file is of such size?
    SAP's general recommendation is to use messages around 5mb
    but it heavily depends on other factors so don't threat it as a must

  • Special characters in sender soap adapter provoke HTTP 500 error

    Hi,
    SAP R3 is sending a SOAP message to PI through SOAP adapter.
    When the payload does NOT contain german characters like ü, it works fine.
    However, when the payload DOES contain special characters, the SOAP adapter replies with an HTTP 500 code error.
    If I use SoapUI to send the soap message, and setting UTF-8 as the encoding in the program options, it will go through fine. If I change to ISO-8859-1 it will fail.
    I'm thinking in two options:
    - Make sure that SAP R3 sends the message in UTF-8 format (I think this is happening currently), as if SoapUI works, then probably R3 is not using UTF-8.
    - Force the adapter to use UTF-8. Is this possible? In the sender SOAP adapter I've added AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean (type local EB), and then Transform.ContentType for parameter name and --> text/plain;charset=utf-8 for parameter value. The sender adapter will fail then for every message, with or without special characters.
    Anyway, in this link (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/EN/a4/f13341771b4c0de10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm) it seems to say that the sender soap adapter cannot be extended with modules, so maybe that's the reason why it fails when trying to add a module.
    Thanks

    If I use SoapUI to send the soap message, and setting UTF-8 as the encoding in the program options, it will go through fine. If I change to ISO-8859-1 it will fail.
    I'm thinking in two options:
    Check the use of option 1 ..... the URL which SAP is using to send the data can containe the encoding information.
    Check this SAP note: https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/856597
    From the above note:
    Q: What character encoding is supported by the SOAP sender adapter?
    +you can supply the encoding information with the xmlenc variable in the request URL as in+

  • Sender SOAP Adapter: zipped Payload or zipped Attachement possible?

    Hi,
    I've a SOAP --> PI --> Proxy Scenario. As the payload of the message can become quite huge (around 10MB), I'd like to zip the message.
    From the documentation it's not clear for me if the Sender SOAP Adapter can be enhanced with the standard PayloadZipBean:
    "You cannot add your own modules to this adapter" --> so is it possible to use modules provided by SAP?
    If it's not possible: is there another way to send the message zipped via SOAP, e.g. as a additional attachement to the SOAP message, and to unzip the attachement / use the content of it as message payload for mapping?
    Please note: usage of SOAP is a must for that scenario.
    Best regards
    Holger

    > File size is a question due to limited network speed between sender and PI. If I can reduce the data package to be transferred, it'd be a big help. Therefore I'd like to zip the message.
    In this case it would be sufficient to use Content-Encoding gzip.
    This is part of the HTTP protocol and will be unzipped automatically by the HTTP framework, so you need not do anything special in SOAP adapter.
    See http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2616#section-14.11
    Check if your SOAP client is able to use that.
