How to add a procedure from an pl/sql library to an item inside a module

i have created a procedure for example round() function in a plsql library and i saved that library!!!! attached the library into my module and in post_text_item i need to call it
  it shows error, can you please help me out
eg: this is my procedure in plsql library inside forms
PROCEDURE FPROUND(ISAL NUMBER,VSAL OUT NUMBER) IS
BEGIN
  SELECT ROUND(SAL)
  INTO VSAL
  FROM ASIF1;
END;
and now am gonna add this in my block to the item named sal under the trigger post_text_item
declare
isal varchar2(20);
begin
plfuplow(:asif1.sal,isal);
:asif1.sal := isal;
end;
please suggest me with some answers and thanks in advance

my forms version is 10g, actually i have used the procedure name correctly only christian but pasted my code wrongly over here............... and :asif1.sal refers to my block item and the item sal is of datatype(number) only
declare
isal varchar2(20);
begin
FPROUND(:asif1.sal,isal);
:asif1.sal := isal;
end;
my error is:
FRM-92101: there was a failiure in the forms server during startup. this could happen due to invalid configuration.
please look inro thr web-server log file
thanks for your precious comments buddy, hope you guy suggest me a good idea

    i am using numbers in the new iWork. Just bought it 10 days back. I am not able to figure out how to add serial umbers from 1 to 100( for example) also i need to freeze the top header like in windows so that we can browse down without the heading going off. Can some one help?

    Hi Jay,
    Be aware that "Freeze Header Rows" and "Freeze Header Columns" apply only to rows and columns that are Header rows or Header columns. You can have up to five Header rows, Five Header Columns (and five Footer rows) on a Numbers Table.
    "Header rows" is a special designation. Besides being able to be frozen, Header and Footer rows are not included in formulas referencing whole columns, making it possible to place formulas such as =SUM(B) at the top (or bottom) of column B without causing a self-reference error, These designated rows are also not included in sorts of the rows in a table.

  • How to call stored procedure from Pro*C

    How to call stored procedure from Pro*C ?
    my system spec is SuSE Linux 9.1, gcc version : 3.3.3, oracle : 10g
    my Pro*C code is the following..
    EXEC SQL EXECUTE
    begin
    test_procedure();
    end;
    END-EXEC;
    the test_procedure() has a simple update statement. and it works well in SQL Plus consol. but in Pro*C, there is a precompile error.
    will anybody help me what is the problem ??

    I'm in the process of moving C files (with embedded SQL, .PC files) from Unix to Linux. One program I was trying to compile had this piece of code that called an Oracle function (a standalone), which compiled on Unix, but gives errors on Linux:
    EXEC SQL EXECUTE
    BEGIN
    :r_stat := TESTSPEC.WEATHER_CHECK();
    END;
    END-EXEC;
    A call similar to this is in another .PC file which compiled on Linux with no problem. Here is what the ".lis" file had:

  • How to edit stored procedure from sqlplus ?

    Hi,
    Can anyone advise how to edit stored procedure from sqlplus ?
    Many thanks.

    You can get the source for an object from SQL*Plus by querying the user_source table, i.e.
    SQL> create procedure foo
      2  as
      3  begin
      4    dbms_output.put_line( 'foo' );
      5  end;
      6  /
    Procedure created.
    SQL> select text
      2    from user_source
      3   where name = 'FOO'
      4   order by line;
    TEXT
    procedure foo
    as
    begin
      dbms_output.put_line( 'foo' );
    end;Most commonly, though, if you are using SQL*Plus and a text editor to develop stored procedures, you will have all your stored procedures in .sql files that you edit and just use SQL*Plus to create (or recreate) the stored procedures.

    You've sycned other content via your computer's iTunes to the phone ?
    You can sync photos to your phone via your computer's iTunes : connect your phone to your computer, click on its icon towards the top left of the iTunes screen, and select Photos on the left-hand side of the screen :
    Photos that you sync from a computer can't be deleted directly in the phone's Photos app, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync - so you will need to include all photos that you want from your computer in each photo sync.

    Not sure what you are trying to achieve.. You can copy the files to anywhere you like.. but the TC is a backup target for Time Machine.. it is not a media server.. it is totally useless copying your files to the TC as they will not be backed up from there.. TC has no built in backup and TM cannot backup network drives.

  • HT1386 how do I add a playlist from my desktop  iTunes library to my ipod touch 5th g

    Is it possible to add a playlist from my desktop iTunes library to my ipod touch 5th generation. I've tried dragging it but this won't work - it seems that I have to put the playlist in the box and then press autofill which then means the songs in the playlist now become part pf the library on my ipod touch and I have to make up the playlist again on my ipod touch!
    With the older ipods it was possible to drag a playlist directly onto them.
    Am I missing something?

    If you want to be able to just drag playlists or tracks to the iPod from iTunes, you need to turn on manual management in the Summary tab, and my guess is that this is off. Otherwise, set the playlist to sync in the Music tab.
    Regards.

  • How do I stop itunes from corrupting it's library on almost a daily basis?

    How do I stop itunes from corrupting it's library on almost a daily basis?  It's actually becoming infurating to use, and what's happening is I am losing my downloads since the last automated itunes backup (having to rename & replace the current corrupted library with the last backup which is usually a day or two old).  What can cause this?  Is there ANY alternative to using itunes for Apps (which is the sole use I have for it)?   If not, APPLE PLEASE REMOVE THE NEED FOR THE DATABASE SO IT DOESN'T HAVE THE ABILITY TO CORRUPT ITSELF...  :'(

    Things you see in iTunes are stored in various sub folders in your main iTunes folder as in:
    Image of folder structure and explanation of different iTunes versions (turingtest2 post) - https://discussions.apple.com/message/13025536 and https://discussions.apple.com/message/17457605
    Start iTunes and immediately hold down the option key.  Create a new library somewhere.  Go to your old iTunes folder and drag items to the window for the new library.  Maybe only grab a folder or part of one at a time.  It will copy these items to the new library (so you need lots of extra room on your computer).

    Your question has probaby been answered already because it was posted a month ago but anyways what you do is you plug your phone into your computer. Next you want to open iTunes and click on File. Then you go down to "Transfer Purchases from *your name* iPhone". Then just wait for it to sync and you should be good.
