How to clear SET parameter ID Field ccccc.
Can anyone explain.

Just set the field to SPACE.
SET PARAMETER ID 'SOME_PID' FIELD space.

Parameterized Report - how to clear parameter

I have a quick question with probably a quick answer ...
I have a page that has two regions on it. The first region has parameter fields which you can use to add searchable values ( i.e., serial number ). The second region is a report which uses that parameter to get the appropriate rows. Everything works fine. However, when I call the page from a different one or from a tab it retains the value from the last search. I'd like it to first always clear the last value but also not execute the page/report until the user has clicked on the GO/SUBMIT button. Right now when I call the page it has the prior value already executed at time of page load.

Probably I am too late to answer to your question. But I have implemented what you want.
Suppose you have
tab1 -> page1
tab2 -> page2
tab3 -> page3
And you want that whenever you revisit your tab1 (after navigating to other tabs), the items on page1 are cleared. For that, you can create a process of type "session state" on page 2 and page 3 and process point can be "On load-before header" and in that process pick "clear cache on page...." . Here you can specify page 1 . So as a result, whenever you go to page2 or page3, items on page1 will be cleared and when you come to page1, the values selected on page1 previously would be cleared already.

ABAP programs can access the parameters using the SET PARAMETER and GET PARAMETER statements.
To fill one, use:
SET PARAMETER ID <pid> FIELD <f>.
This statement saves the contents of field <f> under the ID <pid> in the SAP memory. The code <pid> can be up to 20 characters long. If there was already a value stored under <pid>, this statement overwrites it. If the ID <pid> does not exist, double-click <pid> in the ABAP Editor to create a new parameter object.
To read an SPA/GPA parameter, use:
GET PARAMETER ID <pid> FIELD <f>.
This statement fills the value stored under the ID <pid> into the variable <f>. If the system does not find a value for <pid> in the SAP memory, it sets SY-SUBRC to 4, otherwise to 0.

How to clear webdynpro ABAP cache ?

Hi,
Please advise me on how to clear webDynPro ABAP Cache data ?
Scenario as most of you might be knowing:
1>We retreive data from the the table using query stmt. For ex: Creating an employee
2>When we want to update/terminate the same employee on same day giving us short dump
We checked in the backend that employee has been sucessfully onboarded and offboarded/updated without any dump.
I guess it has something to do with clearing the cache/memory on each operation(create/update/delete)
So, I got some transaction code:SWFVISU where we can maintain the cache configuration. But I'm not sure whether we can use the same.
Is there anyway we can avoid the cache issue.

How to get parameter value from report in event of value-request?

The customer want to use particular F4 help on report, but some input value before press enter key are not used in event of "at selection-screen on value-request for xxx", How to get parameter value in this event?

You probably want to look at function module DYNP_VALUES_READ to allow you to read the values of the other screen fields during the F4 event... below is a simple demo of this - when you press F4 the value from the p_field is read and returned in the p_desc field.

If you want SPL GL in FBCJ then write a Substitution .

whenever i change the language auomatically the text has to change when the text exists for that

this is working fine, but when the Text exist , the text editor should be blank.
But it is carrying the Previous editor text itself into it .

This depends on the version of your Netweaver Java AS. If you are running 7.0, you will have to use the Jco framework. The Jco framework is deprecated since 7.1 though. If you want to build a RFC server in 7.1 or higher, it is adviced that you set it up through JRA.

1. Should we maintain OIM for all Excise G/Ls (BED, ECess, SHECess)?
- Please DO NOT maintain OIM on BED, ECESS and HECESS, only to be maintained for Cenvat Clearing Account. Also note that clearing of Cenvat Clearing is not easy, as in standard SAP, the assignment field is not updated with the same information for the Dr. and cr. line items of Cenvat Clearing Account. You need to use an exit in Substitution for it to populate the P.O. no. and line item at the time of MIRO.
2. How to clear the BED Excise GLs which is with OIM in our system, it is thru F.13 only?
You can use F.13 only if the entries are matching not otherwise, else clear all of them manually if you have good control of your account balances.
3. Can we activate or deactivate OIM any point of time, I mean can it be activated in case the G/L balance amount is not ZERO?
OIM activation for a GL - Refer Note No.1356457.
OIM Deactivation : You can deactivate OIM after making the balance Zero on that Account and by changing the Message No. FH 190 to warning in OBA5.
4. What is the use of T Code J2IUN, I have gone thru the SDN links, but I am not able to execute the screen. What parameter should we select while executing J2IUN, when we use Pay cenvat from ser tax cr and Pay ser tax from cenvat cr.
J2IUN is to utllize Excise Duty. The liability of Excise duty is utilized from Excise balances of BED, PLA , Service tax etc.. as per business requirements.

How to clear a private static class attribute once it's been created?

<pre>I'm working with an instance of a complex Class object that has been created using the function module HRXSS_CAT_APPLICATION_INIT. The Class object that I am trying to work with is CL_XSS_CAT_BUSINESS_LAYER and in particular its Static Private component attribute PROFILE. 
The issue that I am having is that the first call of this function module creates and populates the Static Private component attribute, PROFILE, for the instance of this Class and I do not know how to initialize it once it's been created. The PROFILE attribute is an object reference to an instance of Class CL_XSS_CAT_PROFILE. 
I want to reset/intialize this Static Private component. I can then call a Class Method with different parameters so that it repopulates PROFILE with different attributes. There is no Public method to do this in CL_XSS_CAT_BUSINESS_LAYER and even the Private method INIT_PROFILE, the logic first checks to see if the PROFILE component is initial before creating a new PROFILE object instance. All the Attributes of the CL_XSS_CAT_PROFILE object are Static and Private.
 
I would appreciate any insight anyone might have in how to reset/initialize this Class component attribute.

OK...I apologize but I did not dig deep enough to see that the Enhancement Framework allows for the addition of Methods to Classes/Interfaces. Most of this ABAP OO stuff is still quite new to me so I'm struggling with syntax and what is and isn't possible based on how everything is declared. I guess now that I know I can do this I am having some problems understanding how singleton Class objects work and how to 'reset' them.
The Class instance based on CL_XSS_CAT_BUSINESS_LAYER has a Static Private attribute PROFILE that is an object reference to the singleton Class instance CL_XSS_CAT_PROFILE.
The singleton Class instance of CL_XSS_CAT_PROFILE has all of its attributes set to Static Private. If you look at this Class in SE80 you see that one of its attributes is also called PROFILE and is an object reference variable to itself.
So the issue I am having is how to go about 'initializing' this singleton object so that I can 'recreate' this singleton object using a copy of the existing S
I used the enhancement framework to create a copy of the CL_XSS_CAT_BUSINESS_PROFILE Instance Private Method INIT_PROFILE , called in INIT_PROFILE2, but I am not sure how to 'clear/reset' the instance of the CL_XSS_CAT_PROFILE object.
Since PROFILE is an attribute of the CL_XSS_BUSINESS_LAYER object, I thought that a simple CLEAR PROFILE would reset the object but this is not the case. Within this method the FREE clears the value of the reference variable PROFILE but as soon as you step into the method me->init_profile, the value of PROFILE goes back to what it was. I need for all of the CL_XSS_CAT_PROFILE instance attributes to be reset or initialized so I can fill them again. I think I'm getting confused on the scope of things...should I be enhancing the CL_XSS_CAT_PROFILE Class with 'setter' methods so I can initialize all of the Static Private attributes that way instead of trying to clear all the attributes at a higher call level?
Any assistance with helping me with my thought process or approach to this would be much appreciated.

Set default Parameter ids for the users

Can some one please tell me how to set PID and values(Parameter ids) which will default upon every user creation.

You can fill fields on screens with default values from SAP memory using parameter IDs. It is the same as SPA and GPA.
Parameter IDs are stored in the table TPARA. They can be created from SE80. Choose Edit Object->Choose tabstrip "More" and then choose the radiobutton Set/Get Parameter ID
Below example is from SAP Help.
For example, a user only has authorization for company code 0001. By entering the value '0001' in field COCD in the Parameter register in this user’s master record (SU01), the system automatically fills the field Company code with the value ‘0001’ on all screens he or she calls. If this company code is not predetermined using a parameter ID in the user master record, the system automatically adopts the first value entered by the user at the beginning of the transaction for the rest of the current terminal session. However, this value has to be re-entered the next time the user logs on to the system.

How to find parameter ID and which are the important parameter IDs which needs to be included in user master ?
For example for default values of buyres we set EVO.Like that what are the important parameter IDS and how to find them.

many are there, I am citing few below for your undertsanding:
1.Contract: To avoid having to enter purchasing group Z12 (example) on every initial screen, define the purchasing group with the parameter ID EKG and the value Z12 in your own user data.
2.Model service specification: parameter MSP defines the suggested model specification per user.
3.parameter NDR Value X( capital letter) for printer settings.
4. When posting an invoice in Logistics Invoice Verification, the system displays only the number of the MM invoice document in the status line. As of SAP R/3 Enterprise, you can also display the numbers of any FI documents in the status line. You can make this setting for each user using the parameter IVFIDISPLAY with the value X
