How to get the handle of all text fields in the subforms, using script

Hi Friends,
I have around 20 fields in a subform, how can i get the names of all the fields using script.
I wish to enhance the following script where the field names are hard coded
thereby the script itself will get the names of the field names.

Setting the focus to a text field on a subform in the form initialize event.

I have a form that checks the rawValue of a text field to determine whether or not the focus should be set on a particular text field. Here is the logic:
if(txtEmailVisible.rawValue == "visible")
frmEmailData.presence = "visible";
xfa.host.setFocus(xfa.form.NEDA.main.frmEmailData.txtEmailBody);

frmEmailData.presence = "hidden";
For some reason the focus isn't going to that object, instead it is still going to the first field in the tabbing order. Am I calling this in the wrong event, which is causing the tabbing order to over ride my setFocus call?

Try using setTimeout for this from the DocReady event.

There are several occasions where code must be executed after init/formReady/DocReady, etc. has been completed. This is one of them.

How to get Numric value from a Char field in the database?

I have the following values in a column in Database.

I have to take the value from this field if it is a Numeric other wise I have to ignore that value.
Please let me know how to handle this?

I don't want to stop my program by throwing these
exceptions.The sample code catches the exception. At that point you can do whatever you want (set a boolean to say the value is not a number, etc.) - the program does not stop.

Can I get a print out of all text messages for the past 90 days including pictures?

Hi I am attempting to get a printout of all text message for the past 90 days to include text and pictures. How can I do this?

Messages + (Verizon messages app) stores up to 90 days of messages, but I think it starts when you install it - it doesn't go back prior to installation. Other apps (SMS Backup, for one) will also allow you to save and print out your messages. Again though, I believe it only goes back as far as installation, so if you haven't been uisng the app(s), you won't have the previous 90 days available.

I'm getting nothing when the required fields are not filled in, which I rather expected. However, when all fields are filled in I am still getting no response from the button. The mailDoc bit of code is working fine with no other code attached, but every attempt at validating the form's required fields is causing trouble.
A thought occurs to me (I'm new at JS coding), but this code is referencing EVERY field in the document, right? This would mean I should get no result even if the non-required fields are filled out (if my understanding is correct). Can this code be modified to only apply to required fields? Thanks for the help in getting this far.

In a real-world application, no.
In a RW application, a typical need is merely to know the "logical role" of the button (i.e., the button that validates the form, regardless of whether its text is "OK" or "Save", "Go",...). Text tends to vary much more than the structure of the UI over time.
In this case you can get the source's name (+getName()+), which will be the name that you've set to the button at UI construction time. Or you can compare the source for equality with either button ( +if evt.getSource()==okButton) {...}+ ).
All in all, I think the best solution is: don't use the same ActionListener for more than one action (+i.e.+ don't add the same ActionListener to all your buttons, which leads to a big if-then-else series in your actionPerformed() ).
Eventually, if you're listening to a single button's actions, whose text change over time (e.g. "pause"/"resume" in a VCR bar), I still think it's a bad idea to rely on the text of the button - instead, this text corresponds to a logical state (resp. playing/paused), it is more maintainable to base your logic on the state - which is more resilient to the evolutions of the UI (e.g. if you happen to use 2 toggle buttons instead of one single play/pause button).

Well it will depend on exactly where your UME configuration points to in the LDAP tree but yes, it is possible to get all users. Something like the following should do it:

IUserFactory iuf;
ISearchResult isr;
IUser user
String userid;
iuf = UMFactory.getUserFactory();
isr = iuf.getUniqueIDs();
you will need to iterate the ISearchResult object but you can get IUser objects by
userid = (String)isr.next();
user = iuf.getUser(userid);
then you can imanipulate / identify / or whatever you need with the user object

Draw the shape which is to be knocked out (a line in the example) in a layer above the logo. The colour doesn't matter because it will be made invisible.

How to get summary columns in delimited text file
I am trying to generate a delimited text file output with delimited_hdr = no.The report is a Group above report with summary columns at the bottom.In the text file the headers are not getting repeated & thats ok.The problem is the summary data is getting repeated for each row of data.Is there a way where i will get all the data & summary data will get displayed only once.I have to import the delimited text file in excel spreadsheet.

When I used desformat=DELIMITEDDATA with desttype=FILE, I get error "unknown printer driver DELIMITEDDATA". When you look for help, DELIMITED is not even listed as one of the values for DESTFORMAT. But if you scroll down and look for DELIMITER it says , this works only in conjuction with DESTFORMAT=DELIMITED !!!!!!??!! This is in 9i.
Has this thing worked for anybody ? Can anyone please tell if they were able to suppress the sumary columns or the parent columns of a master-detail data for that matter ?

So you have a page1.
You hit submit from page1.
That goes to the cgiserver.
From the cgiserver, programmatically load up the jsp.
search this for the text field.
Display it on your page2.
Is that what you are trying to do?
BTW, won't be able to help you with cgi scripting at all. Can help with Java and Jsp.

How does APEX check for null values in Text Fields on the forms? This might sound trivial but I have a problem with a PL/SQL Validation that I have written.
I have one select list (P108_CLUSTER_ID) and one Text field (P108_PRIVATE_IP). I made P108_CLUSTER_ID to return null value when nothing is selected and assumed P108_PRIVATE_IP to return null value too when nothign is entered in the text field.
All that I need is to validate if P108_PRIVATE_IP is entered when a P108_CLUSTER_ID is selected. i.e it is mandatory to enter Private IP when a cluster is seelcted and following is my Pl/SQL code

My problem is it is returning FALSE for all the cases.It works fine in SQL Command though..When I tried to Debug and use Firebug, I found that Text fields are not stored a null by default but as empty strings "" . Now I tried modifying my PL/SQL to check Private_IP against an empty string. But doesn't help. Can someone please tell me how I need to proceed.

I dont know how to use the separate symbol to make a paragraph separate into several lines correctly in the text field in the adobe form.
Action:
1. config the ADS successfully.
2. create the adobe form with a mult-line textfield(binding the 'remark' context in the interface of the form) using sfp.
3. create a WDA for invoke the form and transfer the 'remark' context data.
I use the following codes to display the paragraph in the PDF document:
CONCATENATE

'2、bbbbbbbbb '
'3、ccccccccccc'
'4、ddddddddd'

If it is just a one word value then you could use this in the exist event;
this.rawValue
= util.printx(">?<*",this.rawValue);
This changes the first character (represented by the ?) to uppercase (represented by the >) and all trailing characters (represented by the *) to lowercase (represented by the <).
If you wanted something more general ... if they could also enter a middle name then you could call a function like;
function toTitleCase(textValue)
return textValue.toLowerCase().replace(/\b[a-z]/g, function replacer(match) { return match.toUpperCase(); });
This uses a regex to change all lowercase letters following a word boundary to uppercase.
