How to pass parameter from form6i to report6i

when i passed parameter from form6i to report6i, while previewing report the data was not displaying only fields heading was displaying, but in report6i there is a parameter form thru that it was displaying data, but thru form6i to report6i it was not. Please kindly help me and give me the some sample or example of it.

How to pass parameter from 1 stored procedure to another stored procedure inside crystal report

Hi
I have several stored procedure in my Crystal Report. I am wondering if it is possible for me to pass a parameter to one of the stored procedure and to use the result of that stored procedure E.g. CustomerCode. To another 2 stored procedure to generate the report dynamically?
I have 3 stored procedure
The 1st one is used to gather information and process the calculation
another 2 stored procedure is used for generate the graph and both of them required to take 2 parameters. The 1st stored procedure will require 1 parameter (E.G. Reference Code) and will return a set of information including the data that could be use on the other 2 stored procedures.
After I added these 2 stored procedure, it requires me to pass 3 parameters to the report. I would like to know if I could only pass the Reference Code for stored procedure 1 and use it to retrieve the information for the other 2 parameter?

Hi Chi
To pass parameter from 1 stored procedure to another stored procedure, you will have to create sub report. In your case you will have to create 2 sub reports for 2nd and 3rd stored procedure and link those sub reports with the main report using Reference Code field in order to pass the values.
After creating the report when you will refresh the report, it will ask 4 parameters, one parameter for main report, one for the first subreport and two for second subreport to fetch the data correctly.

I have forms that call reports and when this form call the report, it is suppose to pass parameters to the report so that the report display what is needed.
It works fine until I start to deploy the form on the web. I managed to called the reports but I could not pass the parameters.
Can any one give me some sample codes or idea of passing parameter from form to report while access these information through a web site?

in the above coding the parameter name has to be same as the parameter in the report.

I f you want to pass any parameter from FM to Report or Vice-versa, parameter should me maintained in the FM otherwoise you can't pass any other than existing parameters.
Otherwise create a custom FM.

OK, to prove the example here is what I did:
I have a form referencing the DEPT table.
I created a item called 'Search' and of type button.
I created a 'custom' PL/SQL block and added the following code:

OK so I set this to a variable and now want to call a Report called EXAMPLE_SQL_REPORT which was created with the following code:
select * from scott.emp where deptno = :deptno;
The bind variable being the custom parameter for the report.
I called the new report with the PORTAL30.wwa_app_module.set_target procedure and put in the full URL path (in this example) of the server and report.

i simply test it by

How to pass parameter from xcelsius report to WebI report

I have a pie chart in xcelsius. When user clicks on one of the slices of the chart I want to pass the selected slice value to a WebI report.
For this I am doing following steps
1. When user clicks on a chart slice the selected slice value will be written into a cell say B1
2. Create a URL button which will get triggered on change of the value of cell B1.
3. Set the URL value in the cell say C2. Here I am using Opendoc function to open Webi report.
If I enter following value in C2 and run the report it works fine and opens the desired webi report.

Is there any other way to open the WebI report from xcelsius?

Hi Peter,
the link provided refers to Xcelsius V4.5.
In Xcelsius 2008 you have to control Flash Vars in the Data Manager.
Go to the Data Manager, Add the Flash-Var Connection Type, Select CSV-FlashVar and define a name and a range.
But i am not sure if Xcelsius Engage can handle FlashVars, because i am only working with Enterprise.
Please take a look at your manual.
For sure there are other ways to import data during runtime. Take a Look at the Connections provided by Data Manager. (e.g. QaaWS, SSRS, LiveOffice, Webservices, ...)
Also take a look at the link below. It might be another nice option for "pseudo" data connectivity

How to pass parameter from SSO login page to ADF application page?

We have ADF-JSF application (running on AS 1013) that is being protected by OID running on AS 1012. SSO login page contains (among others) paramter ssousername and I wish to pass this to my ADF application. For the testing purpose I created ADF application entry point page that has something like this:
<h:outputText value="#{param.ssousername}"/>and my sso login page has:
<input type="text" size="30" maxlength="50" name="ssousername" value="<%=str_user%>">OID and ADF OC4j are running on two different servers, same network.
So after successful login, when my page displays param passed is NULL?!
Why?

I solved it with the following....when my page loads, I execute test method:

I'm using forms and reports 10g, hava a problem while passing the parameter from reports to report.
i'm using srw.set_hyperlink to call report from report.
i have created a key value in the cgicmd.dat file called

We create a wdp view and indert an adobe form into it. And this form has an interface based on XML schema.
Now we want to translate this form into multi-language, and in wdp side, we will display diffenent language version of form for different regions.
I found that there is a paramater /1BCDWB/DOCPARAMS-LANGU, and it seems can control the language version in processing.
But I donot know how to pass parameter /1BCDWB/DOCPARAMS from wdp to adobe form.
Its my 1st to use adobe form and wdp, i really have no way out. Any advice will be Appreciated.

@sahai: Hey no , I am using very very simple example without any query or complex statement. I just have 2 radio buttons in VIEW1. On clicking the radio button, the naviagtion to view2 is done and the value of selected radio button is passed as a parameter in the plug.
In the view2 , i just have a caption in my layout where i am displaying the parameter value by setting the attribute.THe warning i get is in view2. Here is the code. Apart from this there is no coding in view2.

Now I try to build conference room like this by using form
and report. And i design that when users click at group report
then i'll show page that contain questions report and add
question form. And question form and report must receive the
same parameter from group report.
First Problem: is I don't know how group report send the
same parameter to question report and add question report at the
same time. And is it possible??? If not please suggest me what
should I do???

One way is to create a link based on that form and attach that
link with the report. Through links you can pass parameters

I am new to OIM.
Need your help in passing parameters dynamically to Custom Scheduler.
I have created Custom Scheduler by extending Task Support.
I have registered the plugin through API , using PlatformService.registerPlugin() method.
As I need to send the parameter(s) to this CustomScheduler, I have defined them in Metadata (CustomScheduleTask.xml) file as below and got it imported into DB
through weblogicImportMetadata.sh script by providing the path of the file.

Now in order to run this job(schedule task) I need to provide Login name( or id) which needs to be send as a parameter for the scheduler to get executed.
But while defining the job with this Schedule Task on OIM console, I was not able to define or pass parameter to this job. hence parameter is null in
CustomSchedule 's execute method .
Kindly help me how to pass parameter dynamically while running the scheduler from OIM console so that the execute method would be able to receive it.

Hi,
When you have created the schedule job for your custom schedule task, you should see your Login Name textfield in the schedule task. If not, then there verify your schedule task xml.
In your schedule class code, add:

You can erase the global variable using:
