    Hi,
    We are trying to install the Identity Server agent for BEA Weblogic 8.1 (on Linux).
    After filling in the Startup Script Location and Weblogic Server MBeans Directory values in the Weblogic Server Information Panel screen during installation, we receive the following error:

  • Trouble defining BAM Enterprise Message Source for BEA WebLogic Server

    Hi all,
    I've just started to play a little with Oracle BAM Architect.
    I've WLS 10.0 and Oracle BAM Architect 10g release 3.
    On Oracle BAM Architect I've defined an Enterprise Message Source for BEA WebLogic Server as follows:
    Name: ALSBSource
    Owner: ...
    Type: BEA WebLogic Server
    Initial context factory: weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory
    JNDI Service Provider URL: t3://mypc:7001
    TopicConnectionFactory name: com.myConnectionFactory
    Topic name: com.myBAMTopic
    JMS message type: TextMessage
    Durable subscriber name: BAMSubscriber
    Client ID: BAMSubscriber
    Name | Flow name | Type | Max size | Formatting
    content | BAM | String | 1024 | (none)
    On WLS 10.0 I've defined the required JMS stuff.
    On Oracle Design Studio I've defined a plan that includes:
    - an Oracle BAM Enterprise Message Receiver from which I've selected the above 'ALSBSource' Enterprise Message Source
    - a simple Grid
    I've connected the BAM Enterprise Message Receiver to the Grid and clicked on 'Update' button.
    When I try to publish a message on 'com.myBAMTopic' I don't see anything on the grid defined in the Oracle Design Studio.
    The first question is about the definition of an Enterprise Message Source for BEA WebLogic Server in the Oracle BAM Architect.
    I did not change the Oracle BAM Architect classpath or Oracle Design Studio classpath adding the weblogic.jar, because no error has been raised during the configuration of the message source and the plan. Should I update Oracle classpath with the weblogic.jar ?
    Did I forget any other step ?
    I thank you in advance for any feedback.
    Regards
    ferp

    ferp - I got this to work with
    JNDI Service Provider URL: http://localhost
    When I add the port
    JNDI Service Provider URL: http://localhost:23891
    I cannot get my EMS to start.
    Hopefully this should fix your issue.

  • I need to download the server runtime for BEA WEBLOGIC server

    Hi ^^,
    I am trying to create a web project in Eclipse WTP europa. I do not have the bea weblogic server installed on my desktop. My organization has issues running it locally. I need to first create a project and then create a war and then deploy it on server.
    I am going through the tutorial at the following website:
    http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/community/tutorials/BuildJ2EEWebApp/BuildJ2EEWebApp.html
    It says "To do this tutorial you will need a server runtime that is supported by WTP"
    Also "During web application development, we will need a server runtime environment to test, debug and run our project".
    Hence I need the link where I can download the server runtime for bea weblogic server.

  • Policy Agent on BEA WebLogic when server instance runs as windows service

    hi.
    my environment is: win2k3, bea weblogic server 8.1sp4, access manager 7.1 and policy agent 2.2. installation process of policy agent asks for server startup script (startWebLogic.cmd) which i found under my server instance catalogue. the only issue is that my server instance is installed as a windows service and should not be started in a command window.
    am i safe with just specifying the path to the startup script or is there another way of dealing with this issue?
    might be a dumb question, but it would be nice to be sure that i'm doing the right thing before i go ahead and install policy agent. :)
    thanks,
    tb

    Hi,
    I have not set it up as a window service but can try to help. for one thing, this step is not permanent and if it does not work then you can undo this step by re-editting the script to remove the line you added. This step has you change the bea startup script for that domain to call the agent script setAgentEnv_AdminServer(it ws copied into bea domain directory during installation of agent) which just sets some agent resources in the classpath. If you start bea and those things are not in the classpath etc then agent wont work. So no permanent damage, you can change it if it doesnt work.
    I suggest you try it out and start the bea server as a service and see if it works - if not try again.
    I am not sure what the windows service would use to start the app server, but somehow it must specify some environment properties and things in its classpath, so if this script doesnt work then you can just do the things in the setAgentEnv_AdminServer script like setting those things in classpath.
    Please let us know if it works and if any extra steps required? Would be helpful to others to know how to configure as a windows service.

    Sean

  • Sun Policy Agent 2.2 for BEA WebLogic Server/Portal 9.2

    Do you know where can I download this agent? I've searched a lot but no chance. The only available one in the download index page is the 9.0/9.1 agent. Any idea?
    Best regards

    All this time later, and the download for this agent isn't showing up in the right place.
    For now, my blog might be the easiest place to go for Policy Agent 2.2 docs and downloads:

  • [BEA WEBLOGIC SERVER 5.1 sp8] performance pack load problem ....

    Hi,
    I am trying to use the weblogic server performance pack on BEA WEBLOGIC SERVER 5.1
    sp8.
    As explained in the following doc : http://www.weblogic.com/docs51/admindocs/tuning.html#performance%20packs
    I use the following configuration :
    weblogic.properties : weblogic.system.nativeIO.enable=true
    LD_LIBRARY_PATH is set to "/bea/weblogic/wls510_sp8/lib/solaris"
    Technical environement : SunOS 5.8 Generic_108528-06
    But when I restart the server I have the following message :
    "Mo Jun 03 18:19:06 CEST 2002:<A> <Posix Performance Pack> Could not initialize POSIX
    Performance Pack.
    Mo Jun 03 18:19:06 CEST 2002:<E> <Performance Pack> Unable to load performance pack,
    using Java I/O."
    Could you help me on this point, please ?

    I think my Q is not clear. I shall explain how the application works. I am having application based on Swings and that is a website building program. User has options like ading an image into their site with an element called 'Image' available as part of the system. Then user can either select an image from the picture gallery provided or can upload his own image.
    Now, if the user is uploading a picture that has space in name ( we use a servlet program to upload the image into user directory), it will get uploaded. But when the swing program tries to paint the image in the Image element ( It is essentially a JLabel ), the program is sending a request to the WL server. Since the URL contains space in name, server returns error. Even if do URL Encoding, it will add %20 in the URL and still WL will report error saying that file not found. It seems that WL is unable to process requests that has space in the URL.
    If any one has any solution to this, please help..

  • Authorization issue with J2EE Policy Agent for AS7

    Following the documentaion I have created a simple J2EE application with a servlet and 2 jsp's. The 2 JSP's customer.jsp and admin.jsp are mapped to /customer and /admin. The entire web application is subject to a filter like:
    <filter>
    <filter-name>Agent</filter-name>
    <display-name>Agent</display-name>
    <description>SunTM ONE Idenitity Server Policy Agent for SunTM ONE Application Server 7.0</description>
    <filter-class>com.sun.amagent.as.filter.AgentFilter</filter-class>
    </filter>
    <filter-mapping>
    <filter-name>Agent</filter-name>
    <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern>
    </filter-mapping>
    The two resources /customer and /admin are subjected security constraints like:
    <security-constraint>
    <web-resource-collection>
    <web-resource-name>col2</web-resource-name>
    <url-pattern>/customer</url-pattern>
    <http-method>GET</http-method>
    <http-method>POST</http-method>
    </web-resource-collection>
    <auth-constraint>
    <role-name>customer</role-name>
    </auth-constraint>
    <user-data-constraint>
    <transport-guarantee>NONE</transport-guarantee>
    </user-data-constraint>
    </security-constraint>
    The role-to-principal mapping is done in the sun-web.xml like:
    <security-role-mapping>
    <role-name>customer</role-name>
    <group-name>customer</group-name>
    <principal-name>amAdmin</principal-name>
    </security-role-mapping>
    <security-role-mapping>
    <role-name>admin</role-name>
    <group-name>admin</group-name>
    <principal-name>amAdmin</principal-name>
    </security-role-mapping>
    Two roles 'customer' and admin are created via the identity server console and users are added to these roles.
    The application deploys OK, when the app is accesed the user is redirected to the identity server and is authenticated fine. The user is directed to the main servlet and is allowed to access the the two jsp's. All is good till now, when the user access one these links say /customer, access is denied (403). -- Second Update --
    After policy installation I got several problems with PeopleSoft configuration. Which finally were solved.
    1. Some URL's has to be defined as not enforced.
    com.sun.am.policy.amFilter.notenforcedList[1]=/ps/images/*
    com.sun.am.policy.amFilter.notenforcedList[2]=*.css
    com.sun.am.policy.amFilter.notenforcedList[3]=*.ico
    2. In versions older than PeopleSoft 8.4.2 the policy agent modified the file
    /opt/fs/webserv/peoplesoft/applications/peoplesoft/PORTAL/WEB-INF/psftdocs/ps/configuration.properties to add the properties:
    byPassSignon=TRUE
    defaultUserid="DEFAULT_USER"
    defaultPWD="your password"
    signon_page=amsignin.html
    signonError_page=amsignin.html
    logout_page=amsignin.html
    expire_page=amsignin.html
    However, in the newer versions of PeopleSoft this properties are controled from the online Peoplesoft console. Which are set on:
    PeopleTools --> WebProfile ---> WebProfileConfiguration --> [PROFILE] --> Security --> In section "Public Users" the parameters that has to be changed are:
    Allow Public Access (cheked)
    User ID : DEFAULT_USER
    Password : your password
    HTTP Session Inactivity : (SSO TIMEOUT)
    and:
    PeopleTools --> WebProfile ---> WebProfileConfiguration --> [PROFILE] --> Look and Feel -->
    In section "SignOn/Logout" set the following values:
    Signon Page : amsignin.html
    Signon Error Page : amerror.html
    Logout Page : amsignout.html
    Note: After making any changes on the console; restart PIA (weblogic instance).
    With this the SSO with PeopleSoft is working Ok.

  • Does URL Policy Agent of SunONE Web Server 6.1 works with Identity Server 6

    Hi,
    I'm using URL Policy Agent of SunONE Web Server 6.1, and using Identity Server 6.1 to configure policy to access web resource such as http://myweb.org.cn/test/*
    After configyration, I try to access the resources http://myweb.org.cn/test/test.html
    The redirection is ok, the IS login appear, but after login successfully, it still tell me that I don't have permission to view this web page.
    Is this because of URL policy agent don't support IS 6.1?
    Many thanks,

    Can anybody help me with the steps to generate core for this issue.. I followed the steps as said in http://blogs.sun.com/meena/entry/troubleshooting_server_crashes_enabling_core but I don't see any core generated when server crashes..

    - OS is RHEL 4.0

  • Inqmy resource adapter for SAP with Bea Weblogic Server

              Hi everybody,
              Anybody have tried to use INQMY resource adapter for SAP with Bea weblogic server
              It works well with INQMY server, but with BEA I'm getting a lot of problems creating
              the connections.
              Thanks in advance.
              Xavi.

    All,
              Here are the steps we (used for internal testing) had to perform to get
              IN-Q-MY adapter for SAP to work with WebLogic:
              The wli.adapter.inqmy.sapr3.spi package contains extensions to the
              In-Q-My J2EE Connector Architecture classes to overcome some limitations
              in the base implementation classes. To get around these issues, we had
              to extend their R3ManagedConnectionFactory, R3ConnectionManager, and
              R3ConnectionFactory classes.
              * The javax.resource.spi.ManagedConnectionFactory implementation
              does not over-ride the equals and hashCode methods correctly. This
              causes problems with WLS 6.1.
              * There is a bug in their javax.resource.spi.ConnectionManager
              implementation for non-managed uses of the adapter. Consequently, their
              adapter cannot be used in a non-managed scenario.
              * The javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory class does not support
              the getConnection() method that does not take any arguments (it throws a
              null pointer exception).
              I am attaching the classes discussed above.
              Cheers,
              Chris

  • AM policy agents for Weblogic help

    I installed a Policy Agent for Weblogic Server 8.1 When I try to start the Weblogic server after modifications, the portal server throws an exception....
    com.sun.identity.agents.AmAgentFilter not found
    When u enter the URL for that application running on Weblogic , it is supposed to be forwarded to the Identity Management page ...but this does not happen..
    It is apparently able to read the web.xml file in the Weblogic application but is not able to find the particular class above....nor is it able to contact the IDM.
    Any suggestions?

    I am trying to install a PA with a Weblogic server. The installation works fine and I have also configured the necessary config files...and the concerned Weblogic server starts up successfully.
    But when I enter the URL , I see the following error in the Logs....

  • Deploying OIF for Oracle Weblogic Server

    Hi all,
    I'm facing a problem deploying OIF for Weblogic. I've installed Weblogic 10.0.0.3 and OIF 11g.
    I want to know the procedure of creating an IdP and a SP using weblogic server.
    Please help!!!

    Hi,
    Please check this.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/install.1111/e12002/federation.htm#sthref37
    When you install Oracle Identity Federation 11g Release 1 (11.1.1), a WebLogic Managed Server is created and the Oracle Identity Federation J2EE application is installed on it. If you install Oracle Identity Federation in a new Oracle WebLogic Server administration domain by selecting the Create Domain option, the Fusion Middleware Control management component is also deployed.
    Hope this helps.

  • Timeout waiting for Oracle WebLogic Server v10.3 at localhost to start

    I am trying to run .portal file using "Run on server" option in Workshop for weblogic.
    After doing this, its trying to start the server Oracle weblogic server v10.3 at localhost and then publish my module.
    Server view status shows as "State" as "Starting" and "Status" as "Synchronizing". When status reaches 82% it gets stopped there for a long time, and when 83% comes up, I can see the "State" as "Stopped" and "Status" as "Republish". And then an error window with title as "Problem Occured" and contents saying, Starting server- Oracle weblogic server v10.3 at localhost (Time of error: ...) I even tried startup & Deployment option as "Start weblogic server in Expressmode" and still same error I am getting and this time instead of in eclipse console, I can see command prompt and here also showing "Server state changed to STARTING"
    FYI, I created domain with runtime JRocket 1.6.0_05.
    I even tried to clean build the portal project and publish using clean option. Still same problem coming :(
    FYI, my system is having 1 GB RAM only and bit slow. Could this be a problem or something else? Please suggest.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Gopikrish
    The root cause for your error is, it is not able to start the Pointbase database. Looks like you configured a domain with default pointbase database. In the domain\bin\ one of the starup scripts like startWeblogic.cmd, you should see some lines that start the pointbase database.
    java.sql.SQLException: SQL-server rejected establishment of SQL-connection. Pointbase Server may not be running on localhost at port 9093
    Instead of starting from Workshop, go to the domain root folder and start the weblogic using the command like startWeblogic.cmd (or .sh on unix). This should start the pointbase and then start the portal domain. Portal domain does need this backend pointbase database to store all the portal meta data and has datasources configured for this.
    Do you have a Clustered Portal domain, with one of the managed servers located in the remote machine. If yes, and if you use default Pointbase database, you need to change something like pointbase db should not be localhost but the name of the machine where you have the admin server running.
    Either way, the issue is not able to stat the pointbase db and thus serve not starting.
    Thanks

    I am also experiencing the same NullPointerException when launching Weblogic 8.1 in debug mode within Eclipse 3.5. Is there any anticipated fix for this issue, or a bugtraq record that we can follow to know when the issue is addressed? I do not expect JSP debugging to work (as it wasn't available with Weblogic 8.1 under Eclipse 3.4 either) - BUT right now I cannot debug ANY server-side code within Weblogic 8.1 in Eclipse 3.5 as the server cannot start in debug mode at all.
    Many thanks.
