Missing Namespace

Hi forum,
I downloaded the XI Content from the Service Marketplace for SRM SERVER 7.0. I noticed that the Namespace http://sap.com/xi/ABA is missing in the SWCV SRM SERVER 7.0. Should I download again?
My XI is 7.1 with Sevrice Pack 11. However when I got to Software Download Centre in Market Place, I see only XI Content upto version SP10 XI Content for SRM SERVER 7.0.
If I download the XI Content for a different Service Pack, will it harm the XI Server ? I mean if the SP doesn't match
How do I know whether the Namepace is there or not in the tpz file before downloading it?
Any inputs guys
Harish Babu

Barry,
Couple of questions. I navigated to the tab, XI CONTENT SRM SERVER 7.0 # Database Independent. Now under that, I see Downloads and see a list of objects. I see various contents for various Service Pack versions. The list has from SP00 to SP 10. But from my ESR, I found that my Service Pack is 11 and I am using PI 7.1
However since I don't see the one for Service Pack 11, I downloaded the content for the Service Pack 10. Is that OK ?
Secondly, when I downloaded the zip file and unzipped it, I saw two tpz files , named XI7_0_SRM_SERVER_IC_7.010_00 and XI7_1_SRM_SERVER_IC_7.0_10_00. Since I am using PI 7.1, I guess I need to import the second tpz file into the ESR. Is my assumption correct ?

Harish

  • RFC Call: Missing namespace declaration

    Dear experts,
    I have a file to RFC scenario. I imported the RFC and create files exactly according to the RFC structure, so I don't use a mapping. When I create a file, it provides the following error in the adapter log:
    <i>Exception caught by adapter framework: error while processing message to remote system:com.sap.aii.af.rfc.core.client.RfcClientException: could not get functionname from XML requst: com.sap.aii.af.rfc.RfcAdapterException: failed to read funtionname from XML document: missing namespace declaration(2)</i>
    What do I need to do to fix this.
    Thanks in advance!

    This is the whole message:
    I created my own interface and mapped it to the RFC:
    This is the message. Now it successfully pass XI and the adapter sais it is delivered.
    BUT nothing is seen in the target system... how is that possible???

    Hi,
    I have a WCF application to pull calendar exception detail from a Project Server instance 2013. As per msdn links shared below I have added two dlls Microsoft.Office.Project.Server.Library , Microsoft.Office.Project.Server.Events.Receivers as well as ProjectserverServices.dll

  • Missing namespace prefix in the soap body

    Hello
    The soap body that is produced along with soap header for my webservice. I
    am the client talking to a server. The first piece in RED color is what
    weblogic generates to send to the client but does NOT work. The one below
    though works fine which is what I manipulated by hand to send to the
    server. I have no idea why weblogic drops the namespace prefix in the
    BODY.

  • Missing Namespace with the SOAP msg sent by C#

    Hi All,
    The wsdl file is generated by SAP XI. I used the XMLSpy to test it and get successful response.
    Then I used wsdl.exe of .net 2.0 sdk to generate the C# proxy class, and use csc.exe to compile it to a dll, and then refer it in the project. After sent the soap message by C#, the XI shows the message is wrong, then I compare this soap envelop body with the one I sent by the XMLSpy as follow:
    C#:
    <MT_PP_014_PrdOrderGoodsRcv xmlns="http://mycompany.com/xi/sap/system/pp">
    <content>
    </content>
    </MT_PP_014_PrdOrderGoodsRcv>
    XMLSPY:
    <m:MT_PP_014_PrdOrderGoodsRcv xmlns:m="http://mycompany.com/xi/sap/system/pp">
    <content>
    </content>
    </m:MT_PP_014_PrdOrderGoodsRcv>
    so it is the namespace, according the xml generated by C#, the MT_PP_014_PrdOrderGoodsRcv element isn't inlucded in the namespace http://mycompany.com/xi/sap/system/pp, which cause the error.
    Anyone know how to fix it?
    Thanks and B'Rgds,

    Hi YiNing,
    the message created by C# is indeed wrong.
    Check that in XMLSpy message, the default namespace is never set and that the message namespace is set to prefix "m" and that only the root tag is included in this namespace. All the other tags have no namespace (since they are not attached to any namespace prefix) or have the default namespace, which was not set.
    On the other hand, in the C# message, the default namespace is set in the root tag. The root tag is related to the default namespace (it has no prefix) and hence it has the proper namespace. However, the other tags are also related to the default namespace (no namespace prefix) which was set. So these other tags are the erroneous ones.
    Try to check that in your proxy, but it seems like a bug in the proxy generator application.
    Just as a test, send the message from C# in a request from XMLSpy (replace the automatically generated message inside SOAP Body). The same error would be expected.
    Also as a test, send this message in XMLSpy:
    <MT_PP_014_PrdOrderGoodsRcv xmlns="http://mycompany.com/xi/sap/system/pp">
    <content xmlns="">
    </content>
    </MT_PP_014_PrdOrderGoodsRcv>

    Henrique.

  • Missing namespace on XAI Inbound Service Fault Element

    Hi,
    when a XAI Inbound service errors out, it uses the Fault element defined in the WSDL, which normally should be:
    +<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">+
    +<soapenv:Body>+
    +<soapenv:Fault>+
    +<faultcode>soapenv:Client</faultcode>+
    +<faultstring>Client Error</faultstring>+
    +<detail>+
    *+<ouaf:Fault xmlns:ouaf="urn:oracle:ouaf">+*
    -- omiting details
    +</ouaf:Fault>+
    +</detail>+
    +</soapenv:Fault>+
    +</soapenv:Body>+
    +</soapenv:Envelope>+
    However, in one environment i am getting this response, without the namespace:
    +<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">+
    +<soapenv:Body>+
    +<soapenv:Fault><faultcode>soapenv:Client</faultcode>+
    +<faultstring>Client Error</faultstring>+
    +<detail>+

    +</ouafFault>+
    +</detail>+
    +</soapenv:Fault>+
    +</soapenv:Body>+
    +</soapenv:Envelope>+
    This happens both for Custom and Base XAI Inbound services.
    Already validated the patching level between environments.
    The logs do not show any obvious difference.
    I will appreciate any idea or suggestion.
    Thanks
    Regards
    Ernesto.

    All the environments had the same patching level and our problem was in one environment only.
    We cloned the rowking environment ontop of the non-working one and it's solved, although we don't know which was the reason. My guess is some of the patches was not properly applied.
    Thanks

    Cheers,
    Mauricio

    While I sympathize Mauricio, I still do not agree that one should give in so easily to this kind of stupidity. It is the tyranny of petty bureaucrats that makes the world such a messy place.
    Point them to the W3C spec on Canonicalization (http://www.w3.org/TR/2008/REC-xml-c14n11-20080502/#SuperfluousNSDecl) which unequivocally states that "*Superfluous namespace declarations are removed from each element*". So what do they gain by putting in redundant namespace declarations when every conformant parser/canonicalizer is going to strip it out anyway? Technology is meant to make our lives easier and more productive - not the other way around.
    That said, you can put back the redundant namespace declarations into the elements (through an XSL Transformation) AFTER the signature is affixed to the document, send it to them and the signature will still be verified correctly. This "magic" works because from XMLSignature's point-of-view, you haven't modified the document at all - the modified instance is identical to the canonical version of the signed document and thus, the signature continues to validate.
    So, the end result is, in order to satisfy some bureaucrat's desire for seeing XML in a specific way, lots of time, money, electricity and disk-space is going to be wasted for something that doesn't add any value (you should let your business executives know that).

  • Missing namespace for XI Settings for MDM Catalog 3.0

    Hi All,
    After having a SRM and PI server up and running, I am following the XI Settings for MDM Catalog 3.0 in the Note 1177780 https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap/support/notes/1177780
    And I am now stuck at page 4 Interface Determination.
    The problem is that I cannot find the namespace http://sap.com/xi/SRM-MDMCatalog
    Thus, I cannot further proceed to interface mapping.
    Any ideas?
    PS: I found that if I
    1/ do not follow the guide and use Business System as service, I can have F4 help on the namespace available in the Design Builder
    2/ follow the guide and use Business Service as service, the inputs are just like text labels, and there is no F4 help on the namespace
    So should I still follow the guide ? Or I will be better off using Business System as service ?

  • Missing namespace definitions while working on bpel automated tests

    While working on a bpel test, I noticed all project specific namespace definitions vanished from my test and rendered it undeployable. That happens whenever I change the XML assertion comparison method (from xml-identical to xml-similar). As a workaround I'm changing the source file directly but I hope someone came up with a better solution (upgrade, anyone?).
    I'm running version 10.1.3.5 on a Ubuntu Linux 8.04.1.

    Probably the Windows FTP server chokes on the path "/FTPFolders/CUST_081210184025.txt" as it uses Unix separators. You may need to use "\FTPFolders\CUST_081210184025.txt". I can't see the properties in the XML you have given, but when you configure the FTP adapter in the application server console there should be one field for the separator and one for the root folder. Both should be "\" rather than "/" on Windows. The default is "/".
    Good luck!

  • Namespace missing in the payload

    Hi ,
    I doing a JDBC to IDoc scenario.I am using a JDBC sender Adapter to get data using a select query from DB Table ,every thing works fine.The Structure get filled up ,but the namescape is missing in the source payload (SXMB_MONI).Anyone knows why this is happening.
    Thanks,
    Venu

    Hi Venu,
    looks like you are missing namespace in the JDBC data, you should mention the docNamespace in the JDBC sender adapter.
    Copy your payload and paste this in your mapping test tab. How ? After copying the payload go to Message mapping, there is Tab for Test right next to the Design. click on that and then click on the SRC button in the source message and paste your XML and do a test. Then you will know whats going wrong.
    One other precaution is, you can fill the fields in the test tab then click on SRC button to look at what the source XML should look like.
    hope you understand, if not post the question again.
    Thanks.

  • Namespace in XML Payload for HTTP Sender

    Hello,
    I have just configured my snychronous HTTP <--> RFC Scenario. When I want to test it with some XML payload in the HTTP testing tool I get a mapping runtime exception.
    After some investigation using the test tab in the message mapping I realized that missing namespace in the XML payload caused the error. I tried to add manually a namespace to the XML and then it worked
    This is very strange I though that the namespace of the sender interface is automatically added to the XML payload?
    Do you have any information on this?

    Hi,
    U need to copy the payload from Message mapping test message tab and use that payload.
    or u can use the HTTP test client for testing the same.

  • Missing

    Hello,
    I am doing a java mapping from a flat file to an IDOC. After the document is mapped succesfully I call an RFC via the Adapter. When monitoring the adapter I get the error:
    com.sap.aii.af.rfc.RfcAdapterException: failed to read funtionname from XML document: missing namespace declara
    so I added the namespace reference to my java mapping to look like this :
    <ns0:IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS xmlns:ns0="urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions">
    But when I test my java mapping in the builder (interface mapping) the namespace xmlns="urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions" is added to my above ns0:IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS tag. The consequence is that while mapping in the integration engine the "ns0" prefix is then removed and I get the error:
    Delivery of the message to the application using connection AFW failed, due to: error while processing message to remote system:com.sap.aii.af.rfc.core.client.RfcClientException: functiontemplate from repository was.
    Any help or sample code resolving the namespace issue is welcome.

    Frank,
    You should be using the IDoc adapter not the RFC adapter to post your IDoc.
