Navigational Bar Works Perfect In iWeb, But Not Online...

To whom it may concern,
I am having an issue with the navigational bar working online with my website. In iWeb everything looks and works perfect when tested and all hyperlinks are active, but when it is published the Home page is all that comes up and the Navigational menu will not highlight, show rollover, turn the cursor into a hand, or open the other pages. I have tried to fix the issue, unsuccesfully, by arraging differently, removing the custom toolbar, making sure nothing is layered improperly, etc..getting frustrated and need help.

Trouble playing .swf - works offline in browser but not online on website

Hi there,
I'm having trouble displaying a flash .swf file properly on my website: http://dreamriderproductions.com/fun/game-test/
When I view the .swf file locally on Chrome, I get a text box to enter my name and I can click Go and keep playing the game. For some reason, when it's up on the website, there's no text box so I can't progress. Can you?
Background: The game did used to connect to a database, but the upgrade of our website (and relocation of the swf) seems to have broken the database connection. People couldn't progress past the first screen presumable because the information on which city they were in couldn't be submitted to the database. We've got a version of the game with the database connection disabled and so the game should now work - it works locally for me but not on the website!
Any ideas?

The code you have posted is not the same code as used in:
<div id="gallery">
in the link above.
The reason that the Flash is not displaying in FF is that the portion of the code used by FF was omitted. The code currently used on the page only works in IE.
I'm no great fan of the IE conditional statements used in the code you posted so I don't blame you for not using it. But you do need to provide something for FF.... the old, out dated method would be to add and <embed> for FF... here's the newer method..
So either use code you posted above or better yet, get rid of that and replace the current <object> with

Rollovers work in iweb - but not online

I have created a website in iweb with several hyperlinks just by highlighting a line of text and making it a link. The normal,rollover and visited colors work fine in iweb. However, once I go online to see my page the rollover color does not show when I hover over the link. The problem only exists on one page in a few text boxes but everywhere else the rollovers work. Any ideas on how to fix this problem? Could it have to do with the font?

Fineligh: Thank you! My boss actually designed it and I've been building most of it out. iWeb is super fun.
Mark: I checked and I did not make the actual boxes a hyperlink - just the client names.
Jeff: Each red client name is fully selected and activated as a hyperlink. But thanks for the advice - sometimes the most simple thing is what sets everything out of whack.
jcerno: In iWeb open your Inspector window (which you can find in your bottom menu bar). Once you open the Window there are icons on the top - click on the arrow. There you can enable images or text as a hyperlink and format the colors/rollovers. If you're not using iWeb than I'm not sure I can be of much help - I'm still new at learning web design. I'm a print person 100%! Good luck.

Hyperlinks works fine in iweb, but not on web after upload to ftp

I have set up hyperlinks in iweb, but they don't work in RockMelt, Firefox or Safari. I'm using an ftp under the domain name of the website. Any ideas on why this won't work?

Html snippet works w/in iweb but NOT when site is live & online @$#!

help!? I have had a flash based slide show working on my iweb site for some time I used iweb enhancer to make it work w/ iweb 06 - now in 08 the "enhancer" doesnt work. The html snippet should & seems to...I am able to get the pages to behave very well while IN iweb the slide shows load while the program is active & when I publish the site to a folder the site works great - UNTIL I upload it and try to view it online THEN it doesnt work properly.
I have a google map snippet that works fine live OR when browsing from the hard drive/folder WHY wont the snippets work when they are uploaded if they work ON my computer?????

Everything is working fine on my end too. (OSX 10.5.2) Tried your site on Safari 3.1 / Netscape Navigator 9.0.0.3 / Firefox 2.0.0.9 and Camino Version 2007022813 (1.0.4)... each one ran your snippets with out fail
Would emptying cache on your computer help?

Nouveau works perfect on chakra but not on archlinux

Hello, I have a NVIDIA GeForce 7025 / nForce 630a. I installed the nouveau drivers and the system works well. At least glxgears works. Anyway, the game minecraft crashes and a couple of days ago this same version of the game in chakra linux with nouveau worked perfectly. If I go into system settings and see details in graphics controller puts unknow.
The error that shows me the hang of minecraft is:

pacman-S and nouveau. And I have not done anything, I did not add the nouveau module, do not know if I have to set the file in the wiki is not very clear to me how.
I said that in System Preferences > Details > Graphics controller not appeared me anything, just a "unknow", now I get: Gallium 0.4 on NV4C I think the default in archlinux gnome 3.

for ie you need a certificate that tells ie the applet if safe and allowed to open system-resources.

if ur applet want to open socket in IE you need to import microsoft java package which is in Microsoft SDK for Java 4.0.

you have to write above code and compile the java file by using jvc.exe which in Microsoft SDK for Java 4.0.

Swf works in Flash App but not online!

Hi Guys,
I am sitting with a situation I cannot figure out.
In The Flash Application, my gallery is working as it is meant to. Yet, when I upload the swf to the live site, the first image, text and movie of my gallery works but it refuses to scroll to the next item in my XML.
I have given it an absolute path to that server which works in Flash but not when it is online.
Has someone come across this anomaly before? I don't even know where to begin debugging.

Spotlight on menu bar working on one mac but not on other...

On my father's Mac mini, I can put a file in his home folder and Spotlight on the menu bar will find it. This is not the case for my iBook however, as I have to either re-index my whole drive or search within my home folder using Finder to find my file. I can, however, find any other file outside my drive using the blue icon.
What have I done wrong?

I've fixed it now. I realised that I had changed my home folder so Spotlight got confused. I changed the path in the NetInfo manager and everything's fine, for now...

Works on my computer but not online

I have this kind of problem: I have done a website that's
using exactly the same code as Shane Rebenschied's lynda.com
tutorial "Intermediate macromedia flash".
Everything works fine when I test it offline but when I
upload it to a server LoadVars-object fails to load textfiles to
textfield.
I have checked everything I can possible imagine. Filepaths
are exactly the same on server as they are on my computer's
harddrive.

I have the same problem. The swf file plays ok in
Dreamweaver but if I preview it in the browser, it's not there! If
I go to 'window' (menu bar) > Activity, it says 'my site
URL/favicon.ico not found
I've put favicon into the adobe knowledgebase search but
nothing's found.
I'm new to flash. not sure if there's something I'm not
putting on the server that should be put on there.
I put the .swf file and the AC_RunActiveContent.js file up
there..
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

As for tracking the source of your problem your applet sucks.
Try e.printStackTrace() on a cought exception and check the (full) trace.

Top Navigation Bar drop down menu's do not work

Top Navigation Bar drop down menu's do not work. It is only happening on a couple of my site collections and is affecting on the main page of those collections. There is only one web part on the main page, it is the Picture Library Slideshow web part. When
I remove that web part, the menu's come back and work with no problem. I re-add the web part and the menu's stop working. Not finding any error's in the server logs, there are no visual error's thrown. Any advice on what might be happening? I've checked
the Java update on our computers and it has the latest version. Open to any advice at this point.

Executing a procedure - Works on Isql Plus but not SQL Developer??

Hi folks.
I am playing around with some design and structure stuff, mostly just passing values around procedures. I have one procedure (procedure1) which takes a sysdate and then passes it to another procedure (procedure2) which takes the parameter and does a dbms_output.put_line.
Both objects are valid, and compile correctly. I use
exec procedure1;
in iSql Plus and it works perfectly. It prints the dates out and all.
However if I use the exact same command in SQL Developer it gives me error "ORA-00900: invalid SQL statement"
I don't understand why this happens?? The code executes perfectly in one but not the other...

Remember that SQL*Plus commands don't work in the worksheet. So, this would fail
