Please , provide more details to help us to answer to your question. For example, I would want a precision: is your first set a table, and is your second set a table(distinct from the first table)? If it's the case, and if the first table and the second table have the same columns names, then you can do:
select *
from table_1
intersect
select *
from table_2.

This isn't the forum for help with writing SQL - rather with using the SQL Developer product. In future, I would suggest that you use the SQL and PL/SQL forum for these sorts of questions.
However, to answer your question this time, you can include a ' in a string by having two together ie 'fred''s' will return the string fred's.
The following SQL will give you the result you want:
select 'alter system kill session '''||sid||','||serial#||''';' from v$session where username= 'EV05';

Need help - I2C write/read with TAOS TCS3414 light sensor using USB-8451

Hello, I'm new to labview and need help setting up a vi that will allow me to communicate with a digital light sensor (TAOS TCS3414) using a USB-8451. I need to use the sensor to measure light from a light source that I designed and built as part of a project im working on. I've tried looking at several labview I2C exampled but find them to be very confusing. I've used an arduino to interface with the sensor successfully but need to use labview and dont understand how to write the program. The actions are simple; I need initialize the sensor with a simple command and then request data from 8 data registers and then read that data. The data will then be used in further calculations. The portion i need help with is writing and reading from the sensor. I've attached the datasheet for the sensor as a guide. I can also provide the arduino code that i use to read data from the sensor if that would help.
Pleae keep in mind that i am completely new to labVIEW. I really do want to learn from this but need quick results so the more help the better. It would greately appreciate any help or explaination.

Need help with union of two selects

select 1 selects items for a timespan.
But if there is nothing found at one date,
the date is not returned so I want a union with a calendar table
Both selects work but how to make the union?

the problem I still have is that then I expand the Date to
to_date('11.12.2006') I just get the weeks
that contain data. But I need all weeks that are selected, if there is
no data the other fields shall be null or 0.

Need help to write Routine

Hi Gurus,
I need your urgent help on one requirement. I have to write a routine and the requirement is to bring data for K.F. "B" via comparing Materials between 0Material and 0MAT_UNITS.
0Material is already present in my flow and being loaded from DSO1 to DSO2 but 0MAT_UNITS not present. So I have to use a look-up on it using Materials from 0Material.
Materials has to be taken from 0Material and using condition as Observer-A(active) have to match with the materials of 0MAT_UNITS. If the material is present in 0MAT_UNITS with observer 'A' then take the Denominator and Numerator value for that material and produce a conversion factor for that material i.e. (Denominator/Numerator).
Now this factor need to be multiply with a K.F. "A" (already present in my DSO1) and assign the value to K.F. "B" as output (DSO2).
So pls guide me how should I code it in routine and which type of routine should I prefer.
Any effective help will be highly appreciated!!!!

Thanks for the promt response.
Actually no as such user exit is found for this requirement.
U know in the transaction VOFM we can create formula for example in my case for condition value..this is achieved by routine(some form in the include program) and then the routine number can be assigned in the configuration setting for the particular transaction. This is what info so far I have searched..but how to crete the routine and all.still i'm searching. Hope I gave you some ground abt the prob??
So if any body have ever come across this requirement..please suggest.

Need help to write an interesting query

I need some help in framing the query for the following scenario.
I have three tables (in general)
Departments
DNO (PK)
DNAME
Employees
DNO (FK to DNO in Departments)
ENO (PK)
CODE
History
seqid (PK)
ENO (FK to ENO in Employees)
The summary of the data in Employees table looks like below:
DNo           No of employees
10              10
20               5
30               8so there will be total of 23 records in employees table. I want to check if all the 10 employees from dept 10 are existing in history table and if exists I want to display the dno and dname from the employees and departments tables respectively. Even if the history table has 9 employees out of 10 from employees table I don't want the query to retrieve that dept details.
Can any one help me with this?
Meanwhile I will also try my level best and let you people know if I come up with anything.

[SOLVED :)] Need help with adf table row selection

Hi,
In my application I am displaying results in a table. The DisplayRow property of table is set to Selected
There are Next and Back buttons which help user to view details associated to the next/previous rows.
I am using ADF 11g
When user clicks Next or Previous button, then the selection of the row should also gets updated
To achieve this i wrote below piece of code:

ISSUE:_
When i run application and click Next/Previous Button, all functionalities do take place properly, but a null pointer exception is also thrown._+
If i remove DisplayRow property of table from Selected to Default, every thing works good and no Exception is thrown_+
But as records in my table are going to be around 50-60 everytime, i need to set DisplayRow property of table to Selected.
Is there any way to achieve this? Solve this problem?

I am using a POJO class to create DataController. This DataController is having a view Object which is used to create results table.
I have defined Primary key for my POJO Data Controller.

Thanks for replying.
Actually in my application there is one result table and a section that is displaying complete details of the product selectd in result table.
The next/previous buttons are not binded with result table.
What I am doing is, I am puuliing data from VO and displaying it on form, whenever any of these buttons is clicked.
As soon as these buttons are clicked data is coming up, but selection state of table is not getting updated.
So to update selection state i wrote piece of code described in my previous post.
Everything works fine if displayRow property of table is not set to selected.
If i set display row property of table to selected, then i get a null pointer exception with message log defined in previous post.
Although NPE is thrown, yet all data is properly fetched and table selection is also updated. But am not able to get how this NPE is coming and hpw to fix it .
(I need to keep displayRow = selected, for all other cases NPE is not thrown)

Hey guys... I need your help!! I started a project using Premiere Pro 2 and was 80% when I formatted my computer (all my project files were always saved to a external hard drive). Anyways instead of installing Premiere Pro 2, I installed Premiere Pro Cs3. Problem is whenever I try starting up my project it asks me to link every file used. When I do this it says "The selected file cannot be linked because its type (video) does not match the original file's type (audio and video)." I took my external harddrive to friend's house who has Premiere Pro 2 and it says the same thing. Why did this happen? Is there anyway around it... Any help would be greatly appreciated, I put over 20 hours into editing this movie... I don't want it all to go to waste.

Please help in optimising the code. It takes 1 hr for 3-4000 records. Its very slow.
My Select is reading from a table which contains 10 Million records.

[JS, CS3] Need help changing tabStop positions of selected text

Hi all,
I am writing a script to nudge the tabStop positions of selected text by one point at a time. Sometimes it will be only a tab character selected, and other times it could be several in the paragraph or maybe even the whole story. The problem I am encountering is that when I reference the tabStops as app.selection[0].tabStops it includes ALL the tabStops in the paragraph and NOT just the selected ones. Is there a way to get just the selected tabStops and add a point to their positions? It must be that my referencing is flawed. Thanks for any help.

Hi Len,
That's not a bad approach, but remember that there may be more tab characters than there are tab stops. I was thinking of getting the location of the selected tab stop relative to the left edge of the text frame (or column, if you're working with multi-column frames) and then comparing it to the location of the tab stop. But I think your approach will work just as well and be quicker.
Also, remember that when you start moving tab stops around, the index of the tab stop within the tab stops collection can change. If you have tab stop A at 12pt and tab stop B at 16pt, then tab stop A will be item(0) and B will be item (1). But if you move A to 24pt, A will become item(1) and B will be item(0). The index of the tab stop is relative to its location on the tab ruler.

I want to create one sql that can select from table 2 to table number 1. This is my select statement, but it cannot running. The different between this 2 table is only column ID.
insert into VIEWREST2005(ip,msg,fulldata) values(select ip, msg,fulldata from L200505)
Can anyone modified my sql statement.

BTW, the correct syntax for this flavoured INSERT is:
INSERT INTO table SELECT .. FROM table
Drop the VALUES clause as no literal values are supplied.
