New graphic card Geforce gtx 750 ti failing on Hp pavilion H8-1010be

Hello
So i Got a new gigabyte GV-N75TOC graphic card for my Hp pavilion h8 1010-be. When I boot it up i get the intro blue screen and that's it. i hear a single beep, another after a while and then a series of short beeps and a black screen. The fans are running of my graphic card, I did plug it in. When i reboot with old graphic card all works, so didn't pull anything out by accident. The power is also higher on my pc then needed for the graphic card so this should be fine. I did try uninstalling current graphic card drivers first but this didn't help.  It actualy sounds exactly like this http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware/Problem-installing-a-new-Video-Card-on-HP-Pavilion-HPE...
I was wondering if you could provide me with anymore direct help then talk to producer, which i have sent a tickit to aswell.
greeting

You probably are using the MSI 750 that is not compatible with your PC.
Try this model MIS NVIDIA 750 and then review this thread.

    Hi Ken,
Look aon the top back of the graphics card for a switch.  See the below image.
You should have received a pamphlet in the box describing the use of the switch (legacy mode or UEFI mode).  If your PC has a version 8 HP BIOS then disable secure boot if set. If your PC is not at a version 8 BIOS level then the switch should be in legacy position.  The pamphlet should describe the use of the switch.

  • Problem with new graphic card Geforce GT 610 installed in HP Pavilion a6710in

I have recently installed the nVidia GeForce GT 610 graphic card. The problem faced by me is especially during playing games, the screen goes black and PC restarts but it works fine with rest of the things. I have disabled the integrated video card as would be if new video card is installed. The problem is still unclear... so please if anyone can help me out with this...

The GT 610 requires a minimum of a 300 watt system power supply and your computer came from the factory with a 250 watt power supply. When playing games, it is very possible that the card draws more current than the 250 watt PSU can supply. This would cause the computer to crash, go blank, and/or reboot. Please upgrade the power to at least 300 watts.

    Graphic Card
    Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 TI

Is this two Supported i mean is that Motherboard Supported to my Graphic Card.
I mean that PCI 16X 3.0 Express thing.
Because i have impossible to get those to work? The game Crashes when i am playing and it's very laggish and pixels are messed.
Motherboard is NEW and Graphic Card is 1-2 months old.
I have tryet everything. New drivers to old drivers.
So is the Graphic card broken or is it that Motherboard is not supporting that Graphic Card?
Thank you very muh from Finland

Oookkey good to know this that it's supported.
Then i think that Graphic card is broken. Have to send it back to the shop where i bought it and get new one.
Problem was that the Graphic card is not working. It's crashing when playing games or starting to play games.
Some times there comes message " nvidia kernel mode driver stopped responding "
Comes black screen, but i can go to desktop ctrl alt delete to shut down the game.
Right now i use older Graphic card "Geforce GTX 460" and it's working very good with the mother board.
Or it's possible, that i have do something to the graphic card to get it to work. Overclocking or something, because the Default settings aren't working.. because right know it's not handelling the job :D

  • Upgrading my HP Pavilion h8-1170uk with a GeForce GTX 750 Ti

    Hi there,
I have reached whits end here, I am looking to upgrade my GeForce GT 545 with a GeForce GTX 750 ti on my HP Pavilion h8-1170uk. I have emailed your support asking for advice and have been told to phone your number although I have explained twice I am deaf.
I asked extremely helpful customer services at NVIDIA who told me my computer would definitely be able to handle the GeForce GTX 750 ti and I even asked on amazon before buying as I really was not sure.
After getting yes all around (apart from HP who just won't get back to me) I bought the card attempted to install it only to find that it needs a double slot at the back of the pc. I had looked at my PC and had thought it had at least four slots (Photos uploaded) as it had 4 areas it seems at the back, one with the original graphics card in and 3 more with metal covers.
After uninstalling the old drivers and attempting to put the graphics card in I found that only two of the four slots seemed to open and those two were not even next to each other, which means that I can not fit the GTX 750 ti inside my computer
even looking at my photos it looks like they should open but they seem to be attached to the rest of the frame. I realised this when the 3rd slot up come out as I expected the other two to come out but honestly they are just welded in! The shinier metal strips that you see over them do come off but to no avail.
I have to admit I am at the end of my teather and really fearing I have made a huge mistake in buying the wrong card. The slots that do not seem to open have what appears to be a screw driver symbol on the back of them which I must of assumed meant you could get them off with a screw driver. I now guess the screw drive symbol means you can not get them off with a screwdriver? whcih just does not seem right at all.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!!

    Hi,
Your first issue is that most NVIDIA GTX 750 graphics cards will not work in your PC.  MSI does have a couple of models of the GTX 750 graphics card that may work.
Most if not all graphics cards that I have worked with are designed to fit around the the back slot separator I/O vertical strip.  Review this posted article for the view of a double wide graphics card.  The slotted plate in the middle is easily removed by inserting a flat bladed screwed and wiggling it back and worth until the removable plate becomes loose enough where you can use a pliers to finish the remove process.  The shield is designed to "break off".

  • MSI Geforce GTX 750 Ti won't install on HP Pavillion

hello. i tried to install my MSI Geforce GTX 750 Ti into my HP Pavilion p7-1045.
the computer just freezes at the blue HP screen and starts beeping 5 times, and shuts off. power was not an issue either, since i sucessfully replaced my 250w power supply with a 600w. the power supply i upgraded my PC with was a RAIDMAX Cobra 600w Power Supply.
i tried to update my BIOS, but it didn't work. i tried using the hybrid bios switch, but that didn't work either.
    any help would be appreciated

The bios of that old HP machine just includes an ME7 firmware but using a GTX7xx or later requires an ME8 firmware including bios. As you are not the first with such machine here it's a pretty sure thing that there is no update available. Still you can contact HP about it. Most likely though you can't use the card with that machine. It is not a matter of UEFI/GOP or legacy vbios.
i see... well, i have already contacted HP and they said there is nothing that can be done about it. i guess i will have to return the GPU....
looks like i should get a graphics card compatible with ME7 firmware. do you have any suggestions?

So I put my new graphics card (asus geforce gtx750 ti) in my pc, but when I start up my computer, It beeps a few times and then all I get is a black screen. What's wrong?

    Hi,
That particular NVIDIA GTX 750 is probably not compatible with your PC.  Contact ASUS for a remedy.  If ASUS can't remedy the situation then RMA the card and try one of the below NVIDIA GTX 750 graphics cards that will support a PC with a legacy BIOS.

The 300 watt is borderline but is within card specs. The 750Ti (3753) max's at 60 watts. You will need a 6pin power supply.
I changed the Gt 640 in my Envy 810-160 (600W) for a 750Ti with no problems but it did come with a Nvidia card. I put the GT 640 in an e9230f (350 watt) replacing the ATI HD4350.
In both cases all went well and the cards updates direct from Nvidia.

  • New Graphics Card won't get past HP splash screen.

A customer bought in an Hp Pavilion P6755a, well out of warrenty with a failing graphics card. The customer does a lot of gaming so we sugested they repalce the3 graphics card, and get something a bit more powerfull at the sametime.  We settled on an Gigabyte GTX 750TI, as it has resonable power at a low price, but more importanly it doesnt require extra power.
Popped in the new card, but the computer won't get past the HP splash screen, can't enter the BOIS either.
Trouble shooting I have already tried
*Installed a differnt card (GTX 230) which worked fine
*Tried the GTX750Ti in another computer to check it wasn't faulty (The other computer was even older than this one by several years)
*Tried a more powerfull PSU  (it worked fine in a another computer with only a 300W PSU)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello @RileyNZL,
I understand that when you install the GeForce GTX 750 Ti graphics card in your HP Pavilion p6755a Desktop PC it will not boot up. The reason for this is because your motherboard only supports PCI Express 1.0 and the graphics card is a PCI Express 3.0. Theoretically, the card should work, but there is a break in the support chain at around PCI Express version 2.1 where PCI Express 1.0 is no longer compatible. I suspect that your other computer does not have PCI Express 1.0.
I hope this helps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Which New Graphic Card For 2008 Mac Pro?

I'm going to buy Final Cut X, so I'll need a new graphic card for my 2008 MacPro. My current card is an ATI Radeon HD 2600.
I asked AppleCare and they sent me a link to a lot of compatible cards (copied below).
But it turns out that most of these cards need Windows - at least according to specs - and the rest don't have the (2) DVI-D connections I need - so which card should I buy?
    The card has to work with my 2 Acer P243W 24" screens at 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz.
    Here's Apple's list:
    •    NVIDIA
    o    GeForce 320M
    o    GeForce GT 330M
    o    GeForce 9400M
    o    GeForce 9600M GT
o    GeForce 8600M GT  Note: OpenCL compatible, but does not meet system requirements for Final Cut Pro X, Motion 5 and Compressor.

    o    Radeon HD 5770

Once you look at what is sold, limits the list. None of those listed require Windows though. What specs? I don't see any specs. And of course nothing listed are Windows, that would be strange. Why you pasted notebook and iMac graphic adapters... unless Apple is selling FCPX for Windows.
Forget the GT120 though some use it with FCPX and are okay with it, save a little though I think 5770 has more processing, bandwidth and of course 1GB DDR5.
support for 6870 PC card is looking like a possible option now, too.
It is more mainly just 5770 vs 5870. Or Quadro 4000.

  • Installing new graphics card in hp p7-1155

I have a new EVGA GEFORCE GT730 2GB GDDR5 graphics card and am ready to install it in the above box.
Haggiscat suggested this board thru a previous post on this site. I have printed out the install directions from the hp help so I have the mechanics of how to install this thing. Those directions say to disable the on-board graphics card first, then go into the box and install the new card. My question is: Do I need to do anything else first such as downloading the driver first/delete the old driver first.etc? Also, I have a disc that came with the new card. Do I use that to get the drivers or go to the invidia website? I want this install to go as smoothly as possible so expert help would be appreciated.
I'm not sure how to direct you to the previous post but it's in this section. Take a look for some background.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I suggest that your carefully read the instructions published by EVGA.   I have multiple EVGA graphics cards and none of the directions ever suggested to uninstall the old video drivers prior to installing the new graphics card.  Use the drinver disk that comes with the graphics card after your boot up. The default Windows drivers will work and then you can install the EVGA supplied drivers.  EVGA also has a web site that you can obtain later drivers that have been tested by EVGA for your graphics card.
The modern HP motherboards will automatically switch to the discrete graphics card if detected and if it is compatible with the BIOS and motherboard.
The NVIDIA 7xx series graphic cards have been problematic with HP motherboards using a version 7 BIOS.  some may work and some may not work.
The reality is that there is no a guarantee that any particular graphics card will work in any particular PC even if the graphics card works in other PCs or even the same or similar model PCs. Know what the return policy is before you buy.
