OS 9 - How to Install this Pesty Thing

Hello All,
I have been extremely annoyed the past few weeks trying to find out how to install Classic OS 9 on my iBook G4 (PowerPC processor).
Currently, I have Tiger 10.4.8 installed - which I had to buy separately, as this laptop was refurbished and came with NO software.
I bought a separate CD of OS 9.2.1 and attempted to copy over the System Folder to my root folder. When I restarted and tried to run classic from Preferences I keep getting the error message: "The system software on the startup disk only functions on the original media, not if copied to another drive." With my iBook I cannot boot up from the CD (I checked the compatibility list which confirmed this.) So, I have reached a point where I don't have a clue what to do. The Tiger OS X DVD I bought doesn't appear to come built-in with OS 9 as an extra, as I have tried to "Install Additional Applications" but I only get a few extra packages such as iCal and the Address Book.
Help! Please! I have reached the end of my rope and am tying the noose as we speak. Is there any possible way to get OS 9 working on the iBook G4 ????

Hi, CBrown, and welcome to Apple Discussions. Tom is right: the only source disc that contains a proper installer for OS 9 on your iBook (which can't boot into OS 9, as you've discovered) is a disc that was originally shipped with it when it was new. There is a workaround, for you, though.
You need to find someone who has a Mac running Tiger with a working installation of OS 9.2.2 for Classic mode. Copy the System Folder from that Mac into the root level of your iBook's hard drive. This would be software piracy, and I couldn't recommend it, if you hadn't already bought OS 9 yourself. But you have, so you would certainly be within the spirit, if not precisely the letter, of the OS 9 licensing agreement in copying the OS from someone else's Mac.
Once you get it copied onto your hard drive, you'll need to designate the new OS 9.2.2 System Folder for use as Classic in the Classic pane of System Prefs. Then you should run Software Update and see whether there are any updates needed to the Classic-related files — there probably will be. After that, use Disk Utility to repair permissions, and you should be good to go.
Whoever sold you the refurb without any installer discs should be informed of your displeasure, which is entirely justified. No operable Mac should ever be sold — new, used, or refurbished — without the discs that were originally shipped with it. They should always be considered part of the package, just as they were when it left the factory.

If you would like know to replicate forms/reports Builder installation on other machine (pc or other),
I think you CAN'T.
You have to get installation's CD, and repeat step done in your first installation on your first machine.

I have Equium M50 (59E) and got bitten by an update that took out my touchpad and keyboard .I have made fresh install of XP Home and have all updated drivers and all is going well .The last update i cant seem to fathom is for

The update fixes all kinds of issues of the kind i am having and is a recomended update from Driver detective ,that i use offten .
The trouble is it says to uninstall drivers for the one i have installed allready and when i do this it knocks off my USB mouse leaving me not able to install the new ones .When i reboot it installs the ones i dont want reinstalled .

How to make this two things at the same time ?

When my mouse is on a area, I need :
- to show a object (a rectangle inserted with the toolbar)
- to show a caption
I think it's not possible to do this two things at the same time when I use the rollover functions (Rollover caption or Rollover Image).
I would like to use a button, but the button works only if I click it, and not when I just pass my mouse on it.
Someone have an Idea?

Rick is correct. You can use the Rollover Slidelet's rollover area to trigger an Advanced Action. You'll need to create this Advanced Action with two clauses. One to SHOW the caption, and the other to SHOW the rectangle.
Your alternative to the rollover slidelet is to use an Event Handler widget attached to the object that the mouse should roll over.
The Event Handler will detect when the mouse is over the object and trigger its own Success criteria. You can then use the widget's ON Success event to trigger the Advanced Action as mentioned above.

The iOS is a completely different OS than OS X. QuickTime for the Mac is not written to work on an iPad. There is no way to install it.

I'm currently running Gnome, and I'm trying to have the same theme than here : http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/ … ent=108433. I've installed and used the Hydra theme : no problems with that.
The only thing I miss now is his font, I read the comments, and it's said the font used is "Zero Threes", they give a link (it's on page 2 if you want to check) : http://www.urbanfonts.com/fonts/Zero_Threes.htm
The problem is the font seems to be available on Mac and Windows, but I coulnd't find it for Linux. But the guy seem to have Linux and he's using it, so could somebody explain to me how can I get the font for linux ? Or if there is a way to install a Windows or a Mac font in Linux ?

How to install this?

I downloaded Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio .NET.
All the process did is creating one folder which name is "Disk1".
nothing happen except the new folder.
There is setup.exe under the folder but I am afraid of doing this because it looks installing Oracle10g into my machine which I don't want to do.
Do I have to install Oracle 10g into my machine for ODT?
Did I do something wrong?

I believe ODT requires 10g client tools, as well as the 10g ODP.NET data provider.

Why can I not just import my bookmarks from Chrome? I do not know how to do this html thing it says that I must do.

I have no idea how to make an html out of my bookmarks on Chrome, but it says that I have to do that to import my bookmarks. If there isn't an easy way to do this I'll just keep using CHrome even though I've been told that Shockwave won't crash as often with Firefox.
