Passing Parameter to jspx page in URL

Question

hello all,
I want to know if it is possible to send paramters in jspx url . And if it is , then how can we acess those parameters in the backing beans . I am using jdeveloper 10.1.3
My link is http://10.11.5.5:8989/WF_APPS/faces/LoginPage.jspx and i would like to send a paramter cid with this url . How it can be done .
Is http://10.11.5.5:8989/WF_APPS/faces/LoginPage.jspx?cid=100 way of sending parameter is correct .

Hi,
the problem is with the lifecycle, which may include multiple request/response phases using ADF Faces. So what you need to do is to define a managed bean method on the page's f:view for its "afterPhase" property. In the method, you can generate it automatically using JDeveloper, you check for the PhaseId. The PhaseId you want is RestoreView. In this phase, you need to copy the requestparameter to a memory scope that outlives the duration fo a single request. So you would do
HttpServletRequest request=(HttpServeltRequest)FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getRequest();
String strvalue=request.getPerameter("id");
if(strvalue != null){
AdfContext.getViewScope().put("id",strvalue);
The value no becomes EL accessible using #{viewScope.if} or by using Java

Ps.: View Scope requires PageFlow (Task Flow) and AdfContext requires ADF to be configured. If you use none of them, use session scope instead
