Problem in displaying title in smartform

hi all,
I m developing a smartform in dev server. While i m directly checking the output by executing smarform i able to see the main title ( hard coded in title window, with no condition, font size 16, bold, arial) .
While i test the same in testing server, its not showing the main title.I asked the Funtional Consulatant to chk for the configration but as per his comments everything is ok.
Apart from this, rest all other windows are dispalying properly.
Can anybody guess where might be the problem.

r u uasing any language for the text elment or text module.. i think u r giving the language dynamic based in the SPRAS or customer Language. may be the text is not existed in that language,
ru givung the language as 'EN' or u r giving it in any variable &Language&
if u r uisng any varaible then once check whether the text is avilable in that language.

I am working on one smartform. There is one header window.The text populated in this window is dynamic text. Symbol ampersand is not getting displayed correctly . When this text is displayed . It is getting displayed with greater than and smaller than symbol . I am not able to show it here. Please help me with this issue.

This dynamic text is an include text. User will be giving that. I have used FM Read_Text and taken that text in an internal table. In this table also ampersand is getting populated as i told above. Except ampersand it is displaying all other characters correctly. Only problem is with ampersand.

Problem in displaying Bitmap in Smartform

Hi All,
I have requirement of displaying company logo along with other logos like ISO logo etc. I combined all logos in one bitmap with white background.
When I insert the bitmap in other applications its printing correctly. When I import same bitmap into SAP and put it in smartform background turns out to be light grey. It gets reflected in print out also.
I tried to import the same as black and white bitmap. Its printing OK but logo is not as sharp as the original image. I understand that, when I convert it to black and white bitmap, the grey pixels in the edges of logo turn out to be white giving rough edges to logo.
Can anyone give solution to print the bitmap from smartform with the same sharpness as original bitmap with pure white background??

Hi Hema,
I used to encounter the light grey issue on the background. It's nothing to do with SAP, but it's due to the image capturing when you try to combine all logos in one bitmap.
The solution is, try to save your bitmap without 'Frame' or 'Border'. I try to requested my colleague on editing the bitmap, and save the picture by ignoring 'Frame' or 'Border'. This will be a bit tricky, but it works for me.
If you know how to save the picture without 'Frame' or 'Border' using Image Editor Application (Adobe Photoshop, etc), this may solve your problem.

Problem in displaying text in smartform

In my smartform, In a text element I have written a text like below.
Reference Number ,,,, &v_ref& ,,,, Date Received ,,,,&v_date&
Now v_ref can be max of 23 characters. When it is of 23 characters, it is showing fine in output.
But when it is <23 i.e.10 or 11 characters, the allignment is misplaced. So I am thinking in that case
I will append blank space after the value upto 23 characters. I have tried several ways to add blank
spaces but in the output it is not considering the space and still the problem remains.
I want you guys help to resolve my problem.

For this there is Two solutions :
1. Create One paragraph format in smart Styles by providing required Tab Spaces and assign it to Text node.
2.Use a Template that contain two columns with required length.
Better is Use Template for future modifications.

Problem in displaying total no of pages in Smartform

Hello experts,
I have a problem while displaying total no of pages in Smartform.
When no of pages are more than 10 then in total no of pages , a * is shown till current page is 9, then after it is displaying correct no of pages.
I am using &sfsy-formpages& to get total no of pages.
Ex: Like if I have 12 pages to print then i am getting 1/, 2/, 3/* .......... 9/* then 10/12 , 11/12, 12/12.
Do i have to write some code for that ?? Please give your inputs to get the total no of pages.

Problem in displaying data in the smartform output.

Dear Freinds,
I have a requirement as per my requirement i have to display the employee dependents details in the smartform output.
I have taken a table in smartform and collected all teh employee dependents details . Each dependents his own details around 8 fields. so iam displaying in the smartform it is working till now no problem ........iam getting data as below

to add some fields to this list ( to this internal table) ...........if iam adding one more feild data is getting truncated as i dont have any more fields to add to right in the horizontal line........how can i solve this issue and how can i add further fields to this list
like date of birth of the dependents and gender
please could any one tell how i can solve this issue.

If this is a Tablethen only thing you can do is re-size the grid and font size to adjust your data. Like, displaying HEADINGS & DATAs in 2 rows instead of 1, etc.
Nothing else can be done. Otherwise you have to trim down the data to adjust in one page.

Smartform Problem in Displaying a string data

Hi Friends,
I am facing a problem while displaying a string data in smartform. Actually it is a one of the field's data in an internal table. It is a STRING field type of length 0. While populating in an internal table it is having a all the data(Around 700 char data). But while displaying in a smartform surprizingly only few characters(Around 225 char data). How can i overcome this problem?

Declare some Variables of 72 char each and split that long string data of internal table text field into them and display these variables strings one below other in smartform

var3 = itab-text+144(72)
like that
and display one below other in smartform.

Problem in displaying selected page items in the title in Graph

Hi There;
I have a problem in displaying selected value of named page item in the graphs.
Eg. I have in my worksheet a page item named "Location"; when I use "&WorksheetName &Location" in the title of worksheet it is displaying both the worksheet title and value of selected page item "Location" in my example.
But when I use the same (&WorksheetName &Location) in the title of graph or Axis of the graph, it would show up only the name of the worksheet but not the value of page item "Location", instead it would print "&Location"
Any idea why it is not able to reference the select page item in Discoverer graph? I am using Oracle BI Discoverer 10.1.2.1.

Thanks a lot. It might not have been considered necessary but you do require, e.g in my case I am plotting Average value of a Parameter and it does make sense in including the name/value of Parameter(surface water temp/bottom watter temp) as an Axis instead of just a constant Parameter or say Average Parameter. So that user can plot the variation of different parameters by changing the page items and when user changes the value of parameter and export the graph he/she has the parameter name(actual value) in the graph.
But I can include all the parameters (&Parameters) or all the page items(using &PageItems) in graph then why not individual page-item and individual parameter.
I would log a SR and see what they say.

Problem with displaying chart data

Hello everybody,
I have problem with displaying chart data correctly. I'm using a cartesian chart with DateTimeAxis. The stockdata I'm using is for half a year and
with ticks for every day. The problem is, that Flex displays the data of february in march together with the data of march. I have added a picture
to show the result. The second column of the grid is for february and the third for march.
Could anybody help me with this problem. Thanks in advance.

I think the problem could be the configuration of the datetimeaxis. The following method shows the parameter for the datetimeaxis:

Thangsan font not displayed correctly on SMARTFORM

I am having a problem on displaying (preview) and printing a smartform containing a thangsan font. The characters are displayed/printed as #####. Please advise. Is this a printer problem?

Hi,
There can be 2 causes for your problem:
1. you are not printing on the correct printer; if you use LOCAL printer, try using LOCC printer, if such a printer exists in your system, or search a printer with device type CNSAPWIN; This device type handles the printing of asian languages.
2. if the smartform is associated with a standard transaction / output type, try creating the output in that language; or just pass the language in the control parameters structure.

Problem with displaying special language symbol in charts

Hello,
I have problem wih displaying special symbols in czech language in charts. When I write some value into Categoryaxis or Value axis in chart designer I see the right value. Then I save the web template and present it on the web. But on the web presentation I don´t see the right value. I see the title without special czech symbols.
I find on forum some solution for language dependent texts (using special program eg. ZHTMT_TEXT) I think that It´s not solution for me. I think that I have problem with font or code side...
Can you give some advices?

Dynamic Prompt/Label/Display title

I use UIX and 100% of my application is generated by JHeadStart.
I have a little problem.
Which it's the best way to change "label, prompt, column header, display title" manually.
Because this information is stocked in a table of the database.

I am not sure I understand your question. Do you want to read the prompts and labels at runtime from a database table?
If so, you should generate your JHeadstart application with nls turned on and you should use a java class as resource bundle type (extending java.util.ResourceBundle). Then, JHeadstart will read the prompts, labels and display titles from this resource bundle that is generated for you.
You can add code to your resource bundle class to read the actual strings from a database table instead of hardcoded into the message bundle. Not a trivial task though....

Problem in displaying the TaxRate columns .

                        I am having a problem in displaying the 'TaxRate', in this Query there are some different Taxrate's columns like- ' 'Basic Excise Duty BED@10 %', ' Education ces@2% ' , 'Secondary Education Cess @1%',    etc.   only 4 -5 tax's value should display at a time and rest of the TaxRate's columns whose value is NULL should not display.
So, I want to display only those TaxRate's columns whose value is not NULL and If there is no value for any taxrate's column in the data, then it should Display only 'Excempt' column.
