SQL Query failure in application involving GP

Hi,
In one of the WDJ applications I am using, there is creation of GP instance involved and within the callable object of GP, back end connectivity is obtained through RFC. This application is not working properly and when I took traces of the same, I could find out that all transactions are failing at a particular query which looks like this.
Backends|ggp|adhn5362-1527(Oracle DB)|SQL|Prepared|Query|Select* from "CAF_GP_USRHSH" WHERE "HASHVALUE"=?
I can see such queries wherever back end connectivity is involved. Has any one faced such error before? Is this due to some authorization issues?
Helpful answers will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Shifa

  • [SOLVED]overriding VO's SQL query in an application module

    Hi, can anybody help me in searching examples of everriding some aspects of VO in an application module.
    As i learned we can override, for example the "WHERE" clause of an VO's SQL query in different application modules, using as i supply the addWhereClause method on SomeViewObjImpl object.
    ... but are there any examples of using this possibility? Should i create a custom method in application module java class?
    Thanks in advance. Best Regards.Alex.

    Hi Gautam,
    Do you have any idea regarding what exactly can I communicate to the Basis consultant. Is this due to missing of some specific authorization to a that particular user? Almost all the users are facing the same kind of error.

  • SQL Query failures around the South Pole

    Hi all,
    I ran into a problem testing query functions on an Oracle DB with 6M+ simulated image rectangles.
    The search rectangles were created to cover the earth on 10 degree by 10 degree map rectangles. At the south(north) pole, this means the lower(upper) X edge would have no size at all.
    When the query is initiated for 10 degree by 10 degree search rectangles whose lower bound is 90 degrees south, the PL/SQL engine goes into infinite recursion and fails to return. It is my understanding a work around would be to create search windows whose lower(upper) bound would be just away from the southernmost(northernmost) latitude. However, is there another problem I am not seeing? Is there a tolerance setting I should be using for queries like this?
    Here is a sample SQL statement:
    SELECT count(*)
    FROM SIX_AMIN_POLYGONS A, SEARCH_WINDOWS C
    WHERE C.NAME LIKE 'S90.0%'
    AND SDO_RELATE(A.GEOMETRY,C.GEOMETRY,
    'mask=inside+coveredby+overlapbdyintersect')='TRUE';
    Here is the error associated:
    Exception in thread "main" java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
    ORA-21780: Maximum number of object durations exceeded.
    ORA-21780: Maximum number of object durations exceeded.
    ORA-29903: error in executing ODCIIndexFetch() routine
    ORA-21780: Maximum number of object durations exceeded.
    This occurs in Java and in sqlplus.
    This is handled in PostGIS/PostgreSQL (how?), so I am wondering if there is a way to set the Oracle up to handle these cases as well.
    Thanks,
    Jeff

    All Oracle Spatial functions and operators, including RELATE, work fine for geodetic query geometries which include the poles. When you say you are using a query rectangle at the south pole, I suspect you have a query geometry like this:
    SDO_GEOMETRY(2003, 8307, NULL, SDO_ELEM_INFO_ARRAY(1,3,1),
    SDO_ORDINATE_ARRAY(0, -90, 10, -90, 10, -80, 0, -80, 0, -90))
    The problem with this is that the geometry is not valid. The vertices {0, -90} and {10, -90} are the same (it does not matter what the longitude number is at the pole - it is still the pole). With a duplicate vertex the query geometry is not valid. Try this for the geometry and it will probably work fine:
    SDO_GEOMETRY(2003, 8307, NULL, SDO_ELEM_INFO_ARRAY(1,3,1),
    SDO_ORDINATE_ARRAY(0, -90, 10, -80, 0, -80, 0, -90))
    If you were to run SDO_GEOM.VALIDATE_LAYER_WITH_CONTEXT() on your tables before trying to use any operators or functions, it would catch errors like the above.

  • SQL query from C++ application using ODBC 10.2.0.4 is very slow

    Hi,
    We are using ODBC oracle driver to access 10g Oracle server from C++ apllication. But the performace is very slow.
    Recently we tried with Microsoft Oracle ODBC driver, which we found faster than 10.2.0.4 Oracle ODBC driver.
    Please let me know is anything is ther any issue with this driver or is it better to use Microsoft ODBC driver.
    Thanks,

    Hi StephenEP,
    As the issue is more related to C++ programming, I would like to recommend you post the question in the Visual C++ forum at

  • Out of nowhere, consistant query failures, SQL Azure USA South, Timeout expired. or TransientFailure exceptions..

    Getting a bunch of SQL query failures since yesterday morning pacific time. Have not made changes to any code in months, and server load is about same as it has been for a year. Are you guys doing anything to SQL Azure? This is USA South.
    This is a 20MB database and I'm doing queries on tables with couple thousand entities, shouldn't fail like this!
    Using latest EntityFramework 6.1.1.
    Fails at the SQL server no matter where I connect from.
    Compiled Linq to Entity queries seem to be failing. The do have some .Includes..
    These are the two most common issues:

  • Show SQL Query Info

    It seems every portal user can use 'Show SQL Query Info' at application component manage page. How to disable it?

    In case anyone is interested I found 2 methods to get round this problem:
    1. First if you are calling the url directly you may need to convert some characters to their hexidecimal equivalent to make this be interpreted correctly by the browser.
    i.e. Space = %20
    % character = %25
    & character = %26
    So in the example I used this would become:
    ?p_arg_names=costcentre&p_arg_values=B15&p_arg_names=projsearch=%25Teach%25
    Binding:
    :cost_centre binding with B15
    :projsearch binding with %Teach%
    2. The second method is to use a pl/sql stored procedure to call the report passing the parameters in as follows.
    PORTAL_CUST.P11_PROJECT_SEARCH_RESULTS.show (
    p_arg_names => PORTAL.wwv_standard_util.string_to_table2 (
    'parameter1:' ||
    'parameter2'),
    p_arg_values => PORTAL.wwv_standard_util.string_to_table2 (
    p_parameter1_value || ':' ||
    p_parameter2_value));
    Cheers,
    Gary.

  • Need to send success or failure message to BAPI of SQL query action block

    Hi All,
    I need to send success or failure message(i.e. 1 or 0) to BAPI which has been called below sql query action block in transaction
    Here in SAP, i have created on BAPI with one import parameter and one export parameter.
    In the sql query action block, it insert records in the database table. If it fail or success, that message(numeric value 1 or 0) has to send to SAP program through BAPI.
    I have created a SAP ABAP program which sends message to MII Message listener through RFC then in the process rule message it will call transaction, in transaction, sql query will insert records into database table.  if it success or fail, it will pass to BAPI. And i calling that BAPI in the same SAP ABAP Program to show in the output screen.
    Here the issues, i am not getting the value from BAPI which has send by the transaction in MII.
    SAP Jco, I have mapped in conf. links --> BAPI input with sql query sucess
    Thanks,
    Kind Regards,

    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/00419e6e-e3c2-4b80-b6af-2a24ced1032d/sql-query-to-list-the-optional-reference-field-of-all-packages-in-cm-2012?forum=configmanagersdk
    But again today, i'm looking for a way to get "Administrative category" field in a SSRS report. Could someone point me to the right direction ?
    Kindly mark as answer/Vote as helpful if a reply from anybody helped you in this forum. Delphin

    Hi,
    You could monitor the SMSProv.log when you check the category of an application. It shows that SQL query the SCCM provider used is related to function fn_ListCategoryInstances.
