Swf files misdisplayed if contain filter

If you create a file in Flash using a movieclip symbol and apply to it a filter, then export in swf format to use it in Director, when you insert the swf in the stage of Director and set for this sprite the ink to background transparent, the swf is misdisplayed: the content of swf is diplayed above the collocation of the sprite. I tried many times in different ways but the problem remains.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I just tried that and I got the same result. I also found that once the sprite's ink is set to background transparent, it can't be moved. So even though there is an offset, you can't even compensate for it! This is fantastically awful.

  • Using a container to load several swf files and play them

    I need some help. I want to use several swf files and have them be called upon in a container file and play them in sequence. It's a presentation that needs to play thru but still have the ability to stop, click on items, open a popup and then continue on in the presentation. I am building all the individual "chapters" and their "sub-chapters" as swf files, with the hope that I can load them in order. I am relatively new to AS3. Help?

    If you will be loading swf files into a container then you will use the Loader class to accomplish that, so give that a looking over in the help documents and see what you can do.  If you have a problem getting it to work, post your code and describe what you have done.

  • Why does the audio in my .SWF file not play in a Browser?

    I created an .swf file using ffmpeg, containing H.264 video and MP3 audio. The file plays perfectly in VLC but  not in a Browser (Chrome/IE). I tried analyzing the file using a trial version of Flash decompiler. Again, only the video plays. The strange thing is that if I extract the MP3 from the file, it plays perfectly using any of th eplayers. It seems to be a muxing issue which VLC apparently handles, but not the player in the browser! Why? Thanks for any pointers.

    Yeah. Sorry to say this but many people buy the various brands of format converters, which are everywhere on the Web and which also spam these boards – and often find they are not only out the purchase price but that the app created as many problems as it solved.

  • How can I tell if and how a SWF  file is streaming?

    My department is new to Flash, but we've now been creating
    basic Flash Videos for websites for a few months. We've always
    encoded our videos to FLVs (Flash 8), and then used the Video
    Import Wizard in Flash 8 to import those FLVs into our FLA
    document. We now need to be able to error-check all of our files
    (each video comprised of four files: an HTML file, an FLV file, and
    two SWF files including the player skin) to make sure that
    progressive videos are indeed progressive and streaming videos are
    streaming.
    My process thus far:
    In Flash 8, I brought up the SWF file and opened the Output
    window; from the Debug menu I then selected variables. I was able
    to find the variable "isRTMP:false", which according to the
    documentation seems to mean that the video is progressive, not
    streaming. However, when I authored this FLA file, I know I chose
    the streaming option (FVSS not FCS) in the Video Import Wizard. Am
    I looking in the wrong place? Am I confused about the meaning of
    this variable?
    Bottom line, how do I determine after authoring whether an
    SWF is streaming or progressive, and moreover whether it's been
    authored to use FVSS or FCS?

    I'm sorry, perhaps I was a little unclear. The files are all
    still stored herelocally, since they have not yet been deployed.
    I'm looking for some property of the SWF file (maybe visible
    through Component Inspector?) that will tell me how it has been
    authored. Is there any place in the SWF file itself that contains
    this information (since the files are not yet deployed)?

  • Since swf files cannot be attached to published flash documents for iPad, what format can be attached?

    I have a multi-page animated book for iPad developed in Flash 6. Because of its length and to run more smoothly on an iPad, I’ve divided the pages into fifty separate documents –the last frame of each each page would load the next page, a back button would load the previous page. My question is: since an swf file or anything containing actionscript 3 coding cannot be imported or attached to a published flash document, does Adobe have a solution to this problem?

    The complexity with this idea is the software has to run from a Mac computer on your network.. so you need a Mac turned on, probably most of the day.
    It isn't possible to partition the TC although you can create a image area.
    The software would have to copy the material, that means all files to be copied, go from USB drive, back to the Mac, then back to the TC, and written to the drive. In other words you have just added Network congestion, although a proper incremental backup type software will not actually use a lot of capacity.
    Finally it will be slow.. network drives are slower than internal drives. Well USB connected drive is much slower than the same drive connected directly to the computer.. and if the drive is connected directly to a computer it can be shared with the network.
    http://www.anandtech.com/show/4577/airport-extreme-5th-gen-and-time-capsule-4th- gen-review-faster-wifi-/4
    Read carefully the speed of the USB drive plugged into the TC.

  • Creating interactive swf files that contain flash files that don't play once loaded on server

    I am creating an interactive swf file that contains a  flash movie f4v file and when I preview the page in ID it plays, but once I export the InDesign file to swf, insert that on a html page using Dreamweaver (so I can send a link and not a file out) the movie doesn't play, just the first frame of the clip.  I have uploaded the f4v file to our server and linked in the original ID file and it still doesn't play.  Any suggestions or similar issues?

    I have left the page up for quite a while to see if it is just taking longer to load that clip and that doesn't seem to be it.  I am just stumped and honestly not knowledgable on how websites and servers work - just know how to get my documents up so I can send links.

  • My website containing a swf file does not work now since update of 3.6.4

    I have recently set up my own site using flash panorama player (swf file) which has been successfully working for a few months now: annedoncaster.co.uk. I recently did an update on my firefox browser which I am sure has caused an issue with my panoramas showing, they no longer load or show on my website. I have tried all the other browsers and they all load the panorama, which is very odd.

    == Update of firefox 3.6.4

    @'''Anne''':
    That is a tough one.
    I can only make it work if I disable OOPP for the Flash plugin and close and restart Firefox.
    It works if I copy and paste the URL of the Flash in the location bar, but as soon as I use HTML code then it fails.
    Apparently the plugin-container process isn't able to play that file.
    You can try to file a bug report for it on https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/ to see if anything comes up.
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Plugin-container_and_out-of-process_plugins
    You can set the prefs dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.* to false on the about:config page to disable the plugin-container process.
    dom.ipc.plugins.enabled (currently false by default)
    dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.npswf32.dll (Flash)
    To open the ''about:config'' page, type '''about:config''' in the location (address) bar and press the Enter key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
    If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

    I have used Flash Professional  CS5.5, to make a SWF.file, that when I save as all, it also includes a FLA file. I use this SWF file in  Dreamweaver CS5.5 , Insert , Media, to view this I have set the Parameters name .swf, . When I select Live View, all runs ok, but how do you make the Flash grey box smaller that keep the swf pictures the same size….when I change any of the widths and heights the banner sow with very small pictures.

    Hello All,
    for me it's very interesting, 'cause Adobe makes some differences. In the German forum you are allowed to load up files too, see screenshot:
    Allowed are all file types and they are limited to 8.9 MB.
    We could send this thing to the wishform adress.
    Sincerely,

  • SWF file contains ref. to local dir structure

    Newbie here; sorry.
    Flash CS4 Professional, ver. 10
    Am creating a simple flash video to get my feet wet. In the
    process, I am drowning.
    I created the video with Flash (ActionScript 3.0) by
    inserting a player object, and specifying a f4v source that I had
    created using the CS4 Media Encoder to convert a wmv file; nothing
    to it.
    Publish Preview worked fine. Publish Settings/Publish created
    the necessary files, just as decribed in a Flash 411 tutorial:
    http://tv.adobe.com/?trackingid=EBYHH&pss=fl_10.0.0_win_en_full__PF_20040226#vi+f1527v1000 .
    Video works fine on my local PC (XP, SP2). But when I load it
    to my server, it does not work. In IE 7, the page loads; source
    code is there, but the window is blank:
    http://www.bbhq.us/pva1.html
    Adding mime type to .htaccess file did not solve the problem.
    Changing permissions to the files did not, either.
    It apparently is not a server problem. A simple swf file
    created by Mr. Gates and simple HTM coding works:
    http://www.bbhq.us/flash3.htm
    What does Mr. Gates know that I do not?
    Well, where do I begin???
    However, when I loaded my file --
    http://www.bbhq.us/pva1.html
    -- in FireFox 2.0, I got a blank window, but also this revealing
    error message:
    SecurityError: Error #2148: SWF file
    http://www.bbhq.us/pva1.swf
    cannot access
    local resource F:\pva1\pva0117a.f4v. Only
    local-with-filesystem and
    trusted local SWF files may access local resources.

    at fl.video::FLVPlayback/doContentPathConnect()
    That tells me that the swf file has my original directory
    location and file name(s) -- F:\pva1\... -- embedded in it. No
    wonder!
    However, I cannot see where in Flash I specify a directory
    structure for my video, other than, of course, when I originally
    specified the video to add to the player component. But somehow,
    the swf file picks up the directory structure as part of the file
    names. That boat does not float.
    Adobe help did not throw me a life preserver; it tossed me a
    lead weight, instead.
    Must be a settings issue somewhere, or I am missing something
    obvious that I just cannot see.
    Goin' down here for the 3d time. A little help here, please.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for your quick response. But it left me still treading
    water.
    Yep; got to the content inspector; The parameters that I see
    are as follows:
    align
    autoplay
    cuepoints
    islove
    preview
    scalemode
    skin
    skinautohide
    skinbackgroundalpha
    skinbackgrundcolor
    source
    volume
    There is no contentpath parameter/property.
    This help page references the contentpath that you
    referenced:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Flash/10.0_UsingFlash/WS0ED77F00-2006-49aa-8399-92B6D5D8CE00.h tml#WS9A834D6F-8206-4e07-B840-456EF90C03CB
    It describes the contentpath as you suggested:
    "contentPath (AS2 files) String that specifies the URL to an
    FLV"
    The reference to AS2 in parens suggests that this parameter
    applies only to AS2 files. Or, perhaps this parameter is not
    applicable in CS4, version 10. I donno, but I sure do not see it in
    my version of Flash.
    However, you and the the help page did throw me a lifeline.
    WIth the f4v file already loaded on my server, I modified my
    project, specifying, as the source parameter, the name of my fv4
    file as it is loaded on the server -- http:www.myserver...fv4 --
    not the file on my local PC. So when Flash published the project,
    it uses that name, with no reference to my local directory..
    Of course, the f4v file must exist on the server for it to
    publish properly.
    That did it.
    It makes sense, but it is certainly not obvious and it is not
    explained in any documentation I have found.
    Am I the only one to whom this was not obvious?
    Thanks; you led me to a solution.

  • Satay Method: Firefox crashes swf file that contains 3D animation

    I have a strange dilemn and the 3D feature in Flash CS4 seem to be the most obvious connection to the problem.
    I have a page with 2 different swf files ( both under 50KB), which use the satay method. One works perfectly, and the other struggles to work. The pixels are magnified, the 3D animation scales incorrectly, and moves very slowly. Eventually the browser crashes and the whole operation goes down.
    Has anyone else experienced this? Can you suggest changes I can make within my code to fix the problem? If it's a plug-in problem, then I can definitely update the plug-in on my machine, but won't all my viewers encounter the same annoying problem? Send suggestions my way, please!

  • How do I script SWF files instead of JPG files in XML loader?

    I have a SWF loader (greensock.com platform) and a thumbnail image scroll underneath it made of small image buttons. Each image button has a link which loads a new SWF file into the SWF loader above. Here is the code for each button which loads the bigger SWF file into the loader above:
    Button3.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, Button3_PlayPopUp);
    function Button3_PlayPopUp(event:MouseEvent): void {
        //setting the sourceVar
        sourceVar="3.swf";
        //making the SWFLoader load
        //as setting the soureVar after the SWFLoader is created won't do anything unlesss
        //I also re-create the SWFLoader with the new sourceVar when the button is clicked
        loader_howToLoader2.url = sourceVar;
        loader_howToLoader2.load(true);
    Then I decided to load all button via XML loader. I followed the tutorial on XML loaders which deals with loading jpg images and assigning URL links to them in the following manner first in XML file:
    <image src="appThmb_imgs/appThmb_imgs117x175/A-illuminatorUpLit_117x175.jpg" title="UpDownGlowingVase" url="http://www.888acolyte.com"/>
    and then in AS3 like this:
    var xmlLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
    thisOne.link = imageList[item].attribute("url");
    function clickScrollerItem(e:MouseEvent):void {
    //trace("clicked item " + e.currentTarget.itemNum + " - visit url: " + e.currentTarget.link);
    var urlRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest(e.currentTarget.link);
    try {
    navigateToURL(urlRequest);
    catch (e:Error) {
    // handle error here
    trace(e);
    My question is: How do I apply the code to each individual small thumbnail button to load a bigger image into the SWF loader above? Do I have to add something to XML file or this way it will never work with jpg images? Can url in XML file set the source var (//setting the sourceVar), since they are all individual and then somehow apply the making SWL loader to load part (//making the SWFLoader load) as a standard somewhere in the AS3 code?

    O.K. Here is my COMPLETE function.
    xmlLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, LoadXML);
    function LoadXML(e:Event):void {
        trace("xml load complete");
        xmlData = new XML(e.target.data);
        //trace(xmlData.image); //we'll see each image xml element listed in the output panel with this xmlList
        buildScroller(xmlData.image); //rather than trace the xmlList, we send it to our buildScroller function
    //build scroller from xml
    function buildScroller(imageList:XMLList):void{
        trace("build Scroller");
        //var scroller_x:int=0;
        for (var item:uint = 0; item<imageList.length();item++) {
            var thisOne:MovieClip = new MovieClip();
            //thisOne.img_width=imageList[item].attribute("width");
            //outline
            var blackBox:Sprite = new Sprite();
            blackBox.graphics.beginFill(0xFFFFFF);
            blackBox.graphics.drawRect(-1, -1, 86, 128);//-1,-1 places rectangle 1px left and up.86, 128 draws rectangle 1px wider on all sides of placed image dimenstions of 84x126
            thisOne.addChild(blackBox);
            //scroller_x += thisOne.img_width + 20;
            //var currentX = currentImageWidth+spaceBetween;//modified line to adjust variable thumb widths
            thisOne.x = (84 + padding) *item;//84 is the width of the loaded images and 15 (which was before paddign var) is the padding
            //thisOne.x = scroller_x;//modified line to adjust variable thumb widths
            thisOne.itemNum = item;
            thisOne.title = imageList[item].attribute("title");
            thisOne.link = imageList[item].attribute("url");
            thisOne.src = imageList[item].attribute("src");
            thisOne.alpha = 0;//makes all thumb images at alpha=0 before they are fully loaded
            //trace(thisOne.itemNum, thisOne.title, thisOne.link, thisOne.src);
            //Loading and Adding the Images
            //image container
            var thisThumb:MovieClip = new MovieClip();
            //add image
            var ldr:Loader = new Loader();
            //var url:String = imageList[item].attribute("src");
            var urlReq:URLRequest = new URLRequest(thisOne.src);
            trace("loading thumbnail "+item+" into Scroller: " + thisOne.src);//url
            ldr.load(urlReq);
            //assign event listeners for Loader
            ldr.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE,completeHandler);//tells us when the loading is complete
            ldr.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, errorHandler);//tells us if there are any typo errors when the loading is complete
            thisThumb.addChild(ldr);
            thisOne.addChild(thisThumb);
            //create listeners for this thumb
            thisOne.buttonMode = true;//makes boxes act as buttons
            thisOne.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, clickScrollerItem);//makes boxes act as buttons
            thisOne.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, overScrollerItem);//traces the title when the mouse is over the bounding box in the Output Panel
            thisOne.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OUT, outScrollerItem);//traces the title when the mouse is out the bounding box in the Output Panel
            //add item
            scroller.addChild(thisOne);
    But I am not sure if I expressed myself clearly. All what you have indicated happens. Images are being loaded and url strings are working. I can not figure out how to tweek the code so instead of url specified in xml file I can load swf image into the SWF loader on the same screen?

  • Flash .exe or swf files will not play on Vista

    I decided to learn how to create captions for flash video,
    using CS3. I tested this project and it worked fine. I could just
    double-click on the app or the swf and the captioned video played
    fine on my Mac. I only had Flash (CS3) on my Mac, so I created the
    files there.
    I then published an exe to move over to my Vista machine.
    When I double-clicked on the file, it brought up Flash Media Player
    version 9, but only showed a blank white box. Very frustrating.
    After some research, I read that Windows Vista was not
    compatible with Flash Media Player 9. Only 10.02xxx or later (I
    forget the exact version - it was long) was supposed to work with
    Vista. Since CS3 uses version 9 to pack into the executable (PC) or
    app (Mac) projector files, I thought maybe this was the problem.
    So I downloaded the demo of Flash CS4, thinking this version
    would pack version 10 into the projector and this would solve my
    problem.
    While the CS3 version of my saved flash video project would
    open in Flash CS4, it would not play when I tested the movie inside
    Flash CS4. It would just show a skin at the bottom of the video
    player only (with a play/pause button), and it had moving blue bars
    on the skin like it couldn't really load either.
    I then decided to create the whole flash video with captions
    from scratch under Flash CS4. This time when I tested the movie in
    Vista, it worked fine. When I published either the projector exe or
    the html/swf combination, it worked fine. So proudly (and finally!)
    I sent the exe over to my boss. But..... you guessed it. The Flash
    Media Player 10 that started up when the file was double-clicked
    just showed a blank white screen again!
    So then I moved the exe over to another partition to test to
    see if there was some dependent directory pathway saved as part of
    the flash video file. The exe wouldn't play on the other partition!
    So I thought I was onto something. I then tried moving files that I
    thought the exe might be dependent on (although isn't the point of
    a projector to be stand alone?) to the same directory on this
    partition as the flash exe projector file.
    I ended up moving the captions.xml file, the swf files (flash
    video player skins included), and the html file that the swf file
    is supposed to be embedded in. NOTHING worked.
    I even read that someone with this problem saved his Flash
    CS4 file as a Flash CS3 file before he published it, and that
    worked for him. So I tried that too, but with no joy.
    So I am totally stumped. Does anyone out there have advice or
    even a solution?
    Much Thanks,
    Chuck

  • Swf file not playing in browser

    I have a problem with a swf file which will not play in web browser.
    It played fine until I updated my site. I therefore suspected a pathing issue within dreamweaver and looked thorugh that forum for an answer.
    I tried typing the absolute path to the swf file in the browser address bar and found it straight away. When I clicked on it the screen stayed blank.
    I checked the path to the file and the flv file was relative to the document and not the site.
    swf plays fine in flash player, flash, and locally on dreamweaver.
    I moved the swf up the file tree and changed the links accordingly but still would not play.
    I also tried saving it as a new swf from flash, but that doesn't play either.
    I added another swf to the containing folder and that played fine in the browser.
    When I open the fla file in flash it only shows a flv playback movie, not the elements, I think this is because it was created in after effects.
    Here is the link to the containing folder, the swf file is Home_page_movie_V2.swf
    http://www.joinerycadsolutions.com/Flash/01 Home
    I have other swf files playing fine and this swf played ok originally so I still think it's a pathing problem but I am not that savvy on flash and cannot figure it out.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated, just bear in mind my low level of ability.
    Thanks
    Stuart

    The .swf is loading just fine... but it is expecting to load a .flv video file.
    The path inside the .swf to the .flv file is not correct. The path inside the .swf to the .flv file needs to be relative to the .swf as it's located on the Web page, NOT the physical location of the .swf.
    Here is the absolute address of the .flv:
    http://www.joinerycadsolutions.com/Flash/01%20Home/Home%20V1.flv
    Here is a test player using that address:
    http://www.cidigitalmedia.com/tutorials/flash/cidm_simple_vid_player.html
    So unless your .swf is broken, it just a pathing issue.
    From an old post:
    Pathing issues
    Almost always when it works on the local machine and not the server, it's a pathing problem.
    You can put your Flash related files in whatever folders you want, they do NOT have to be in the root, they do NOT all have to be in the same folder. But if you have a problem and if sticking them all in the root folder works, then you know that the issue was a pathing problem.
    Just remember that paths used in the .swf become relative to the Web page on which the .swf is placed, NOT it’s physical location.  So for example, if your .swf is in the flash/data folder and you use that .swf on a Web page in the root folder, you are in effect, removing that .swf from flash/data and putting it in root. So if the .swf is loading any related files (xml, images, video, etc), the path used inside the .swf to load the .xml file has to be relative to it's new location in root and then back down into flash/data. This is true even though when testing the .swf by itself, it can be inside flash/data and work just fine, since relative to it's location, the path is just fine, they are in the same folder. But if that same path is used when the .swf is placed on a page two folder levels up, the relative path has changed, the old "same folder" path will not work.
    In fact if you are placing the .swf on a web page in a different folder than the .swf is stored in, and that .swf calls external assets, then direct clicking and opening of the .swf in it’s folder should NOT work! That’s because the paths to the external assets should be relative to the Web page and not the physical location of the .swf.
    So just be sure that you use addresses relative to the final Web page locations (not physical file locations) and you can put the Flash related files in what ever folders you want.

  • How can I call in swf file to movie clip?

    Hi all ...
    This is my first post for advise, although fairly conversant
    with flash and as2.
    I am developing a new full screen background style website
    and have menu buttons contained within a movie clip (nav_c1) ...
    this re-aligns to the top centre of a page when user scales the
    browser window.
    I then have the content area (centre_content) movie clip ...
    this realigns to the centre of the page when a user scales the
    browser window.
    I have scripted the menu buttons to goto a labelled frame in
    the main timeline but I need, when at the labelled frame, to be
    able to call/load in an external swf file to play 'inside' the
    centre_content movie clip?
    for example:
    If I click my news button the flash file moves to the frame
    label news on the main timeline. This then shows a duplicate of the
    moive clip 'centre_content' which is called 'centre_news'. I need
    to be able to call/load an external news.swf, containing all the
    animated news info, to sit and play 'within' the movie clip
    'centre_news' ... so that it is effectively contained 'within' the
    movie clip file but loaded in place from an external swf file.
    Can anyone help please?
    I can post a rough working example online if need be.
    Many thanks
    A puzzled Adrian
    ps: I don't think I am needing to load the swf to a level 1
    area as I have tried this and instead of the swf file being loaded
    and contained within my movie clip file/area it instead seems to
    sit fixed on the main timeline (ie: not contained within the movie
    clip area).

    Thanks Sketchsta for you code. This looks like we're on the
    right lines as I see what the code is trying to do.
    Unfortunately though I can't seem to get this to work?
    I created a new file to get rid of other scripting that was
    going on and have placed a movie clip called centre_content onto
    the main timeline in frame 1 ... then I have applied your script to
    an actions frame above the movie clip also on frame 1. I change the
    path_to_file line with my swf name (callin.swf) which is a 1 frame
    flash file with some text on it ...
    ... but it doesn't bring in the callin.swf file ... it just
    shows the centre_content clip.
    Am i doing anything wrong?
    I also tried putting the script onto the first frame inside
    the centre_content movie clip but this doesn't appear to work
    either.
    Regarding the pre-loader ... can I simply build this into the
    swf file that is being called in to the movie clip?
    Thanks in advance for your support, it is much appreciated.

  • BitmapData draw method doesn't work when the project is published as the .swf file of the web applic

    Hi,
            I am totally confused by this strange error. When I tried using the draw method of BitmapData to draw a movieclip symbol of my project, it seems to work fine locally. However, as I uploaded the published .swf file to my web server and launched it as the plugin of my web application, it failed. The source codes as follows,
    function printscreenClicked():void
         //ExternalInterface.call calls a javascript function to print message1
        var bd:BitmapData = new BitmapData(stage.width,stage.height);
        //ExternalInterface.call calls a javascript function to print message2
      bd.draw(stage);
        //ExternalInterface.call calls a javascript function to print message3
    message3 didn't show at all. Instead, the browser console shows "Uncaught Error: Error calling method on NPObject.". My understanding of this error message is that the .swf is calling something crashing, and I believe that bd.draw(stage)is the crashng method call.
    Also, here is my html embed tag:
        <embed src="/tests/videoplayer.swf" id="flash" quality="high" height="510" width="990" scale="exactfit" name="squambido" align="middle" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" style="margin: 0px auto;clear:both;position:relative;"/>
    Can someone help me?

    Thank you for your reply.
    I tried stageWidth and stageHeight, but it still doesn't work.
    The draw() methid is triggered when I clicked a screenshot button in my application as follows,
    ExternalInterface.addCallback("printscreenClicked", printscreenClicked);
    function printscreenClicked():void
         //ExternalInterface.call calls a javascript function to print message1
        var bd:BitmapData = new BitmapData(stage.width,stage.height);
        //ExternalInterface.call calls a javascript function to print message2
      bd.draw(stage);
        //ExternalInterface.call calls a javascript function to print message3
    Would you please give me an example of "waiting for Event.RESIZE is good, or just at least Event.ENTER_FRAME"?
    My real purpose in this application is to capture a snapshot of a streaming video. The video is contained in a movieclip object. I tried stage first since BirmapData.draw() doesn't work when drawing the movieclip on the web site. Do you have any suggestion for this situation? Also, is there any good method to find out what happened if the browser have "Uncaught Error: Error calling method on NPObject."?
