To get a total of the column

Hi, is possible to get a total of a column that have a date ('HH24:MI:SS') format, in a REPORT?
Because I try with the option SUM of the attributes of the region but doesn't work.
Thank!

I think you have to do this manually. See my post from today talking on the leading total:

  • How to get page totals at the end of the report in BI Publisher

    I am using BI Publisher 10.3 and using Ms-Word template builder to design the report
    and I want to implement totals for some columns (like page totals) ... can anyone let me know how to go about this
    Thanks

    Take a look this blog: http://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/entry/anatomy_of_a_template_iii_page
    You can download the template for that page.
    Also take a look at the Samples folder within your BI publisher desktop folder and you can find a folder "Page Total" that has the RTF template, xml and output..
    Assign points if helpful.

  • Adding a grand total to the columns

    Hi
    I need to add a total to one of the columns in my report. I have set Aggregation rule as "Sum" but it is not displaying Grand Total.
    Am I missing any thing or setting the rule incorrectly?
    Please advise.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Jas

    Hi Arvindh
    Thanks for your response. I am not using a pivot table I just tried to add total to the table which is created by just selecting columns required in the Define Criteria section.
    We can add a total w/o creating the pivot table also. By the way, I have found the solution. The key lies in the second step. If u want me to explain in detail. Just let me know.

  • Hiding Total of the Columns  in the Class CL_SALV_TABLE

    Hi ,
    I am using the class CL_SALV_TABLE for displaying ALV outputs. The client is adamant on using this class only for ALV o/p.
    In on o/p there are some subtotals and totals calculation. I cannot remove the totals calculation. Only way is to hide it.
    I need to hide the Totals for the fields .
    I know how it is done in the CL_GUI_ALVGRID by setting layout-no_totline = 'X' .
    Is there any similar way in CL_SALV_TABLE  class to hide the totals.

    Hi,
    U can make column invisble as set_visible (' ').
    For example,
    data: w_column TYPE REF TO cl_salv_column,
    w_columns TYPE REF TO cl_salv_columns_table,
    w_column ?= w_columns->get_column( 'M' ).
    w_column->set_medium_text( 'Material' ).
    w_column->set_long_text( 'Material' ).
    w_column->set_output_length( 20 ).
    w_column->set_visible( ' ' ).
    For class cl_gui_alv_grid, u have to build catlog as
    data:wa_fieldcat TYPE lvc_s_fcat,
    it_fieldcat TYPE TABLE OF lvc_s_fcat,
    CLEAR wa_fieldcat.
    wa_fieldcat-fieldname = 'M'.
    wa_fieldcat-coltext = 'Material.
    wa_fieldcat-NO_OUT = 'X'.
    APPEND wa_fieldcat TO it_fieldcat.
    or u can do like this
    Retrieve the columns that u want, creat a new table and passed this table as a parameter for the creation of  cl_salv_table object

  • Hi, How do I get an average of a column without including the zeros ?

    Im using Numbers and I want to get an average of the column but I can't seem to take the Zeros out of the equation.
    Can someone please help?

    This example was strictly greater than zero.  if you want non-zero values, then this may work for you:
    =AVERAGEIF(A1:A8, "<>0")

  • Divide a column by the Sum of the Column

    Hi!
    I have a challenge in dividing a column by the total of that same column. What I wan to archive is first check if a column is zero before dividing by the total of the column  and then multiply by 100 to get the percentage of total contribution.
    Below is a sample image. I equally will want to round up to 2 decimal places. As it below, the percentage contribution column is derived from the CountOfProduct column
    Thanks so much for the help

    Use the SUM() OVER() window function, e.g.:
    DECLARE @tablename TABLE
    product VARCHAR(30) ,
    category INT ,
    prodcnt INT
    INSERT INTO @tablename
    VALUES ( 'PROD1', 1, 11 ),
    ( 'PROD2', 1, 10 ),
    ( 'PROD3', 2, 13 ),
    ( 'PROD4', 2, 40 ),
    ( 'PROD5', 3, 1 );
    SELECT O.product ,
    O.category ,
    O.prodcnt ,
    1.0 * O.prodcnt / ( SELECT SUM(I.prodcnt)
    FROM @tablename I
    FROM @tablename O;
    SELECT O.product ,

    Caveat: For further processing avoid to formatting of the fraction to percent. Do this in the front-end.

  • Get Total of a Column of Advanced Table and use it in Controller in OAF

    I have an advanced table on my custom page. I am calculating total of a column in my footer. I am acheiving this using the standard functionality of advanced table by setting total value property of my column to "TRUE" and displaying the total in the tablefooter components.
    In addition to this I want to retreive the total value from my footer and use it in my Controller for further validations but I am not able to acheive this.
    I tried some code already present in the Community for the same but nothing turned out right for me.
    Can anyone please help me on this.

       Hi there ,
      You can manually add the values of each row of a  column and make use of the value obtained in your controller .
    Here is the logic ,
    1) get the vo instnace attached to that table .
    2) Loop through every single row in the table .
    3) get the value and sum up the value and use it in your controller .
    int fetchRowCount = vo.getFetchRowCount();
    voRowImpl row = null;
    int count =0;
    if (fetchRowCount  > 0) {
    RowSetIterator iter = vo.createRowSetIterator("Iter");
    iter.setRangeStart(0);
      iter.setRangeSize(fetchBidderRowCount);
       for (int i = 0; i < fetchBidderRowCount; i++) {
      row = voRowImpl iter.getRowAtRangeIndex(i);
       //use RowImpl getters   10.
             Number personId = row.getPersonId();
    count =personId+count;         // add each and every value and have in variable
    iter.closeRowSetIterator();

  • Format the total value in the column of the graph table

    Hello all,
    I have a graph table and I need to format the total value in the column of the table.
    I am trying to find my table bean with the code below but it's not working in the processRequest. Is there anything else that should be done?
    // Get the graph
    OAGraphTableBean graphBean = (OAGraphTableBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("MyGraph");
    // Get the table
    OATableBean tblBean = (OATableBean)graphBean.findChildRecursive("MyTable");
    The tblBean is null in the processRequest. In the processFormRequest the tblBean is not null.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Andrea

    Hi,
    The code OAGraphTableBean graphBean = (OAGraphTableBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("MyTable"); does not work because in this case I am getting the table but casting to a graph.
    The MyTable bean is a child of MyGraph.
    When creating a graph bean we have the option to create a table as a child (select your graphTable region in the Structure pane, and choose New > tabularFormat - to create the table).
    The table bean child I can get just in the processFormRequest, but the graph I can get in both processRequest and processFormRequest.
    I need to get the table bean in the processRequest to format the total value column.
    Do you know if is there anything else that should be done to format the total column?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Andrea

  • To get the count of records and able to access the column value in a single

    Hi
    Is there any way to get the number of records in the query and access the column values
    e.g
    select count(*)
    from
    (SELECT department, COUNT(*) as "Number of employees"
    FROM employees
    WHERE salary > 25000
    GROUP BY department ) a
    This wil only get the Count, if i want to access each row from the inline view how can i do that.

    Your question is not clear.
    Are you looking for total record count as well as count by department ?
    Something like this?
    SQL>
    SQL> with temp as

      3  select 1 dept ,10000 sal from dual union
      4  select 1 dept ,25100 sal from dual union

    Kishore P

    Hey john,
    My requirement is as follows
    I have created a Rank for Total sales by Region wise i.e RANK(SUM(Dollars By Region)) in a pivot table.
    My pivot table looks like this
    COLUMN SELECTOR: TOTAL US , REGION , DISTRICT , MARKET
    ---------------------------------------------------- JAN 2009          FEB 2009        MAR 2009
    RANK              REGION                  DOLLARS           DOLLARS        DOLLARS DOLLARS
    1 CENTRAL 10 20 30 40
    2 SOUTHERN 10 30 30 70
    3 EASTERN 20 20 20 60
    4 WESTERN 10 20 30 40
    When i select the District in column selector
    Report has to display rank based on Total Sales by District. i.e
    ------------------------------------------------- JAN 2009         FEB 2009       MAR 2009
    RANK             DISTRICT              DOLLARS           DOLLARS        DOLLARS DOLLARS
    for this i need to change the fx of rank i.e RANK(SUM(Dollars By Region)) to RANK(SUM(Dollars By District)) and fx of Region i.e Markets.Region to Markets.District dynamically.
    so , i need to capture column name of the value selected from the column selector and dynamically i need to update the fx 0f RANK & fx of region.
    do you have any solution for this?
