VI waiting for another VI finishing before completing

Howdy
i have a goniometer.vi which should move the detectorarm 1°, then starts a spectrometer.vi and measures the spectrum. after completing measurements the goniospectrometer.vi should move another 1° and again...
i have made the spectrometer.vi a sub.vi and wanted to include it into goniometer.vi, but i have no idea how to tell the goniometer.vi that spectrometer.vi is ready for moving on.

Use a while loop. Make sure that both subvi's (goniometer and spectrometer) have error in and error out. Call the goniometer vi first and spectrometer second, wire error out from the first to error in of the second. Put some kind of exit condition to stop the loop. The first vi will execute, then when it is done the second will execute. The process will repeat until the stop condition is met.

Hi guys, hope you can help. I have 5 questions with audio inside narrating the question and the answer in selection. Once you you have chosend your answer then click submit button..it waits until the audio finishes then proceeds to the next question.

Having this action on Slide Exit of the Quiz Results slide may not work if the user clicks a button there to Review Quiz because that will mean that the last frame of the Quiz Results slide doesn't get played.
There is an internal Captivate system variable that gets set on each question slide when it's in Review Mode, but I don't think you can read this variable via Advanced Actions. If you could read it, you could check it and then trigger the mute action on Slide Enter of each question slide.
UPDATE: Just thought of another possible workaround. There's a system variable called cpInfoPrevSlide that records the last slide you visited before the current one. You could use this in a conditional action to trigger cpCmndMute. When the user clicks Review Quiz on the Quiz Results slide it will take them back to the first scoring object in the Quiz Scope. OnSlideEnter of this slide you need to check whether or not cpInfoPrevSlide is the Quiz Results slide, and if it is, set cpCmndMute to 1. That should turn off the audio on the slides from then on.
For instruction audio on the Quiz Results slide I prefer to have the audio attached to a rollover caption. That way, the user only gets the audio if they explicitly roll over the HELP button (or whatever you call it).

When server start, get "Waiting for another script to finish..." message and doesn't go anywhere.

Hello, my engineer (Japanese) is trying to start AdobeMediaServer but he got stuck after getting "Waiting for another script to finish..." message. Any idea how to resolve this situation?

I can no more start or stop FMS3 server, it says :

According to the start script, i check
/home/fms/tmp/script.lck and i have this file as empty, what should
i do then ?
Do you all have this file ? /home/fms/tmp/script.lck ?

My reply is late i just read your problem after having the same, it locked up my whole Ubuntu system.
Its easy to solve just delete the lock folder you see. Server should restart and work fine.

Microsoft Excel is waiting for another application to complete an Ole actio

When I access Data Manager, I get the error message: "Microsoft Excel is waiting for another application to complete an Ole action." When I click OK, I get another error: "Cannot download the dimension list from server. Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to obtaining a connection from the pool. This may have occurred because all pooled connections were in use and max pool size was reached." It never used to happen until recently. I don't know what to tell the IT guys to do. Thanks.

This is a known error in V5. I have had this error at almost every V5 customer.
The following solution (got it from support) solves it permanently.
Changes have to be made to the outlooksoft.config file and the connectionstrings in tblappsetinfo. Be sure to restart the server(s) after applying these changes.
1. In outlooksoft.config file of x:\OutlookSoft\Websrvr\bin folder on the web server change the following line:
<add key="Database_AppServerDBConn" value="Server=<servername>;Database=AppServer;Trusted_Connection=True;"/>
to
<add key="Database_AppServerDBConn" value="Server=<servername>;Database=AppServer;Trusted_Connection=True;pooling=false"/>
Please note that where I have <servername> you should put the name of your server ****
Also, add the pooling=false; to every connection string in tblappsetinfo.

BEx Analyzer Report error - microsoft office excel is waiting for another

I am running a query from BEx Analyzer, it is throwing the error as " microsoft office excel is waiting for another application to complete an ole action "
Here in variable screen, I am trying to give input for the variables, then it is throwing the above error message.

The error message you are receiving means that an Excel macro is waiting for another macro to finish in order to proceed. It is an informational message so you understand why the system is slower than expected.
The solution is on the Microsoft side, see BOJ Note 1201513.

Wait for a few minutes before starting a backgroung step in workflow

Dear All,
I have a requirement where in I have to make sure the user has completed a particular workitem. The workitem is to open the transaction PP02. I cannot make it asynchronous and use a terminating event as I could not see any logical place where I could trigger the terminating event on SAVE.
Now, I am trying to check if the database is updated on save of the transaction and before I do that I would want the workflow to wait for a few mintues.Is this approach correct?
Is there any way I can make the workflow to wait for a few mintues before it starts the next backgound step?

I think it is better option to use the WAIT Step
as you said that until you save the data in the trabsaction you don't want to proceed further then, try like this
Create a wait step and use the option wait for condition.
define a element in the workflow of type char01( assume TEST) .
Pass X to this element from the transaction when ever you save the data.
and define the condition for the wait step in such a way that until the value of TEST = X do not proceed further.

10g: Cube build performance:Waiting for tasks to finish

I had a question related to cube build performance. We see the following in the OLAPSYS.XML_LOAD_LOG prior to completion of parallel processing. So basically the loading of records etc. happens in 2-3 mins but then the part for "running jobs and started 6 finished 5 out of 6 tasks takes almost 30-40 minutes to complete". At this point in background it invokes the xmlloader and xml_parallel_loader. Any insights as to what specifically this steps do (solving of measures etc.) ? Also what we need to modify in terms of xml tag or anything else to improve these timings?

NI Scope Wait for Acquisition to Finish Obselete in 2014

Quick Question,
In LabVIEW 2014, the NI scope Wait for Acquisition to Finish subVI is no longer used and is obsolete apparently, can some one tell me why this is and what I can use instead with the new 2014 NI scope blocks?

Query Acquisition Status until Status is "Complete" To avoid infiate loops (missing trigger event) you should set a Timeout for the loop

Update of jlabel does not happen when i wait for thread to finish (join())

I have a main application which in actionevent calls a thread, that thread calls parent method to update ths status in jlabel, but when i use thread.join() to wait for process to complete, the jlabel does not get updated, please tell me how can i update the jlabel, i have to wait for thread to finish and during run i need to update the jlabel.

Package deployment keeps getting stuck with message 'Waiting for another program'

Hi, I just started working on SCCM. We have an Orchestrator runbook which creates a collection and then creates an advertisement for packages and task sequences. I was able to get a task sequence and a package successfully execute. When
creating the advertisement, I set it to RERUN_ALWAYS. However, the next time I ran our runbook which creates the collection andadvertisement (I manually deleted the previous one), it does create them but the deployment is stuck to In Progres with the
Description of 'Waiting for another program'. This just happens for packages before and not for task sequences the other day but now, it's the same issue whether I use a package or a task sequence.
I see this in execmgr.log:

yes check the exemgr.log file and also see is that package has dependency for another package? and if yes then that package is already available non DP?

That would be very hard to do, as I would have to do a lot of things--including moving furniture to get at the back of a receiver--and I'm not at all sure that the receive could accommodate it.
The process is like this: I dial the receiver to the Apple TV input. The light comes on, like it's connecting, but then the Apple TV goes dark before any connection happens. Then I unplug the power cord, wait a few moments, and plug it back in. Then the Apple TV actually connects, but only after a full reboot (setting time, etc).

Where did you choose to download the install files too? This often occurs when choosing a location the Adobe Download Assistant does not have permission to write too. Please cancel the download and try again this time choosing the default location of your User folder.

Yammer Directory Sync - Waiting for previously running sync to complete

We setup Yammer Directory Sync and after the initial testing we added just one user to synchronise however this user never appears in Yammer - The service log file indicates "Waiting for previously running sync to complete" - When we look in the

Yes, I have the same issue here. Even thought that itunes match is switched off on both of my devices, they still see the music in cloud.
I have also tried to delete everything from itunes match to start over by creating new itunes library, loading itunes match and deleting everything, including playlists (normal ones as well as problemtic empty ones). Musis should be already deleted (my imac as well as macbook pro do not see any music now), but playlists are still there....
I am already in contant with apple support, so let's wait what she will come with. The worst thing is that I can not simply try restore, because I can not make a backup...

Patched Deployments issue: "waiting for another installation to complete"

I have some percent of computers which runs into above state in monthly patch deployments. I could minimal information from execmgmr, udpatesdeployment.log,
CliSpy and Client Center etc tools but that doesn’t offer much help to nail down the issue completely. Have any of you dealt to resolve such issue successfully ? Is there any efficient way to handle this ?
It seems I have
DeploymentA, waiting for the completion of DeploymentB, which in turn waiting for the completion of
DeploymentC. Is there any better approach I could take to nail down and resolve the issue. One of my finding is, KB articles installs (SCCM R3, SCCM Asset Intelligence) causes these issue as they restart (upgrade sort of execution) the
agent during the execution, I need to confirm these

This issue can be caused by a deployment was previously deployed and was now deleted. This was because the clients finished installation
and wanted to notify the Server that it is done, but since the deployment was deleted, it couldn’t Notify its progress to the site server and the CCM_DeploymentTaskEx1 got stuck.
Please use the following scripts to delete the instance to test this issue.
