0fiscyear shows differents results in test & production systems

I have a query on development system and production system. The query disaggregates an amount for the 12 months of the year. To do this, I use a manual input variable as a reference (0fiscper characteristic ) and use the offset to disaggregate 12 months. In development there is no problem, but in production I obtained like result from 4 to 16 period. The characteristic is transactionaly loaded and it's loading 12 periods of the year in the infoprovider. In the master data exist 16 periods per year in both systems. How could is possible that in production system this query is accessing to master data if both systems are equal?
Thanks and regards
Ricardo

Hi
Do you have the same result executing the query from SQLPLUS ?
(copy the sql generated by disco and run it in SQL)
Thanks

  • Samples fall under a different category than production systems

    hi
    in http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/november2011-otn-harvest-1389769.pdf
section "How to detect browser type and version from ADF Faces" (p. 22)
    Frank Nimphius writes
"Ps.: I can almost hear John Stegeman, the Oracle ADF community expert I introduce in this month's OTN Harvest Spotlight, saying that System.out.println is not what I should be using, but AdfLogger. And right he is – however, samples fall under a different category than production systems. "
Agreed, samples fall under a different category than production systems.
But, sometimes I wonder if it justified for samples to be (much) different from a production system.
First, there is not always such an explicit disclaimer on samples, to point out where significant differences are with a production system.
Sure, that is where your own skills and experience come into play, but not everyone always recognizes all aspects that should be different for a production system.
Second, why is it too much to bother to use an approach in a sample that can be in a production system?
Could this be related to the complexity of the context (tools/framework/product) the sample is being created in? If so, maybe that context should improve.
Sometimes, the simplicity of a solution a sample is intended to demonstrate, is lost when it is implemented in a production system.
Maybe it is good practice when writing a sample, to ask the question : What should be different for a production system?
Although, I currently don't have any good examples of such a "sample gap ", maybe I will update this forum thread if I bump into one.
Any comments or examples are welcome.
    many thanks

Thanks for the replies John and Timo.

My idea was (and is) to be lenient on the System.out.println() example, because I would consider this a minor "sample gap".
But, you are probably right (if you can find the discipline).

edit : I am not saying that System.out.println() statements should end up in a production system.

  • Create a Support Message in Production system showing up in Solution Manage

Has anyone setup the link between creating a support message (under help) in a production system (like ECC) and SAP's Solution Manager.
I understand that it uses BADI SBCOS001 with the interface method PREPARE_FEEDBACK_BO, but when I try to run it, it tells me that Customizing for feedback functionality missing. What functionality is missing? And how to I correct this? And how do I ensure it shows in SAP Solution Manager under a solution or project?
    Thanks
    Paul

    Hi Paul
The only way is to use the IMG. I have just completed this via the IMG info. BUT, it is not that simple.
Make sure your RFC's are trusted and that you have SAP ALL during config.
    I hope this will help:
    Setup Service Desk
Steps to follow while configuring support desk.
    1) Implement the note 903587 .
    2) Create all the relevant RFC objects in the satellite system and add the appropriate logical components using transaction SMSY.
    3) Check all the objects in the table BCOS_CUST using transaction SM30.
    Appl : OSS_MSG
    + :W
DEST :BACK RFC NAME (for solution manager system keep this field as 'NONE')
    + :CUST 620
    + :1.0.
*4) Check whether the BC sets are activated or not using the transaction SCPR20.If the BC sets are not activated then implement the note 898614.The steps to activate the BC sets are described below
    4.1) Activate SOLMAN40_SDESK_BASICFUNC_000 BC Set.
4.2) Activate this in expert mode with option u201COverwrite everythingu201D.
4.3) Activation of the following components has to be done by replicating the previous steps
    3.1) SOLMAN40_SDESK_TPI_ACT_AST_001
    3.2) SOLMAN40_SDESK_ACTIONLOG_001
    3.3) SOLMAN40_SDESK_ACT_ADVCLOSE_001
    3.4) SOLMAN40_SDESK_TEXTTYPES_001
*Depends upon the number of inactive BC set objects that we have after the upgrade.
4.4) if the actions mentioned in 4.3 are not listed while executing the transaction SCPR20, then implement the note 898614.In the source client 000 of the solution manager system create a transport request using transaction SE09, unpack the file 'PIECELIST_SERVICE_DESK_INIT.ZIP' from the attachment of the note. Copy the contents of the file 'PIECELIST_SERVICE_DESK_INITIAL.TXT' to the transport request. And activate the actions. Use transaction SCC1 to import the transport request to the solution manager client. If any short dump occurs during the activation, implement the note 939116.
    5) Check whether the number range is set correctly. If not set the number ranges of basic notification (ABA) and the support desk message (Service transaction SLFN).To be able to use the same number ranges for both message types, the internal number range for basic notification (ABA) must correspond to the external number range for the support desk message.
    Number ranges for ABA notifications
5.1) create an internal and external number range using transaction DNO_NOTIF.
5.2) assign number range intervals to groups internal and external.
5.3) SLF1 is the internal number range group
5.4) SLF2 and SLF3 is the external number range interval
5.5) Use transaction DNO_CUST01 to assign message categories to the number range.
    5.51) Go to transaction DNO_CUST01
5.52) From the GOTO menu select the menu item DETAILS
5.53) Now you can assign the number range of basis notification (ABA) into the notification type.
The number range for ABA notification is 12 characters in length and to make it compatible with the CRM service transaction insert 2 ZEROES at the beginning.
Number ranges for Support Desk notification
5.54) Use transaction CRMC_NR_RA_SERVICE, and define the internal and external number ranges. Intervals must correspond to the intervals of the basic notifications (ABA notification).
5.6) Then assign both the external and internal numbering
5.61) Go to SPRO and then to SAP Solution Manager
5.62) Then select General Settings and then select Transaction types
5.63) Select the transaction type SLFN and then select the menu item DETAILS from the GOTO menu.
5.64) In the Transaction Numbering block, assign the internal and external number range. The Number Range object should be CRM_SERVIC.
5.7) To view the priorities use transaction DNO_CUST01 and select the notification type as SLF1 and then select priorities from the left pane of the screen. The priorities of the first four cannot be deleted, but new priorities can be added.
    6) Check the Action profiles for ABA Notifications (Action profiles are used for synchronization of ABA notification with the CRM Service transaction).
6.1) To check the action profiles use the transaction SPPFCADM and select the application type DNO_NOTIF then select u2018DEFINE ACTION PROFILE AND ACTIONSu2019.
6.2) Select the item u2018SLFN0001_STANDARD_DNOu2019 and then from the menu GOTO, select the menu item DETAILS.
    7) The Action profile u2018SLFN0001_STANDARD_DNOu2019 has to be assigned to the message category SLF1 (ABA notifications) using the transaction DNO_CUST01.
    8) The action profile for the support desk message can be set to u2018SLFN0001_ADVANCEDu2019.
8.1) From SPRO select SAP Solution Manager then Scenario Specific Settings.
8.2) Select the item Service Desk and then to general settings.
    8.3) Execute the category u2018Define Transaction Typesu2019.
8.4) Select the transaction type as SLFN
8.5) From the GOTO menu select the menu item u2018DETAILSu2019 and assign the action profile as SLFN0001_ADVANCED .
    9) Activate the partner/ Organization
9.1) Go to CRM->MASTER DATA->BUSINESS PARTNER->INTEGRATION BUSINESS PARTNER ORGANIZATION MANAGEMENT->SET UP INTEGRATION WITH ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT.
9.2)Find the entries starting with HRALX

    SCREEN - *
Generate all/ selected screens - All screens.
    delete sub screen containers -
    11) implement SAP note 450640.
11.1) Go to transaction SA38 and select the report CRM_MKTBP_ZCACL_UPDATE_30.
11.2) Execute it with test mode box unchecked.
If a new relationship is to be created then steps 12 and 13 has to be followed
    12) To create a relationship category

    13) Add the relationship category to the support team partner function
    13.1)Use SPRO
    IMG GUIDE->SAP SOLUTION MANAGER->SCENARIO SPECIFIC SETTINGS->
    -> SERVICE DESK->PARTNER DETERMINATION PROCEDURE->DEFINE PARTNER FUNCTION.
13.2) FIND THE PARTNER FUNCTION SLFN0003 (SUPPORT TEAM).
13.3) In the field relation ship category, Select the newly created relationship category and save.
    14) Steps 12 and 13 should be repeated for various business partner types like sold-to-party, message processors if new relationship is to be created for the respective business partner types.

  • Not able to change the data of test data containers in production system

    Dear All,
We have created eCATT scripts in Development SolMan System and moved the transports to Production SolMan System.  Customer wants to change the data at Test data containers and run the scripts in production system but we are not able to edit the data.
May be the reason is SCC4 transaction code has set the below option.
Changes and transports for client-specific Objects
    u2022 No changes allowed
Customer doesnu2019t want to change the above option and wanted to change the test data containers to give different datau2019s and run the eCATT scripts.
Could you please let me know the solution for this?
    Your help is really appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mahendra

eCatt has the feature where you don't need to transport the scripts or test configuration to our target system. We can keep all our scripts and test data in Solman and run this script any other system in your landscape using the System data container and target system.
Maintain the production as one of the target system in System container in Solman and point that system while running the script. Change the test data in Solman to run this script.
Let me know if you need more information
    thanks

  • License for testing and production systems

    Hi Experts
Can any one help me out on implementing license in my B1 System.
According to our contract we have licensed following user types:
    User Type
    Licensed
    AddOn Access License    25
    Professional User                5
Software Development Kit - Development Version 20
We have Test/development system in one hardware and Production system on different hardware. Please advice me how to request/allocate license for my test/development system and production system.
We tried creating a Test System in SAP Market place and requested license for test system. While requesting license for production system, it is found that the license is exceeded. In other words, developent system license also counted.
Please advice me on the best practices of B1 license implementation.
    Thanks and regards

    Hi,
Our customer wants to Keep the production data secure. Developers and consultants should not have the access to it.
Then you have only two options:
1.Either you should maintain a standalone b1 server for the developers and consultants to test their solutions and scenarios.
2.Otherwise you can create users in sql studio for accessing only the test database.
So that as per your requirement
All configurations and sample data will be kept in a test environment where developers and consultants can do their work.Once everything is correct Admin will do the transfer to production.
Note:New users can be created in the sql studio under Databases-><Company Db>->Security->Users, Rt.click new user

  • Create test env from production system

    Hi,
    Please sorry,
I am new in this area of Oracle Applications 11.5.10 and I need help in couple of questions.
We have production system with Oracle Applications 11.5.10, APPS tier on 32bit Red Hat Linux EE 4 server, and 10.2.0.3 DB tier on 64bit Red Hat Linux EE 4 server.
We get the 2 new servers for test Oracle Applications 11.5.10 environment with same versions of OS like production.
    First test 32bit for APPS,
Second test 64bit for DB tier.
Now we need to create test environment, same like production.
    Questions>
    1) What is the best way to create same env in this situation (32bit app tier, 64bit database tier). I suppose that cloning using rapid clone procedure isn't possible on this clear machines.
    2) If I need to install Oracle Applications 11.5.10 software first on both machines, is it possible to use 32bit rapidwiz installer (existing in stage) to create test db tier on this 64bit node, or not.
I have read in the document Oracle Applications 11.5.10 - Installation Update Notes for Linux x86
You can only install Oracle Applications on an x86-64 architecture server if the operating system is 32-bit Linux or Windows. If your operating system is 64-bit, contact your operating system vendor to obtain a 32-bit operating system before installing Oracle Applications.
    3) How to now from which stage production is created. When I try to create the stage for my test environment using perl command perl /mnt/cdrom/Disk1/rapidwiz/adautostg.pl
    I get these options:
1 - to choose Oracle Applications
2 - to choose Oracle Applications with NLS
3 - to choose Oracle Database technology stack (RDBMS)
4 - to choose Oracle Applications database (Databases)
5 - to choose Oracle Applications technology stack (Tools)
    6 - to choose APPL_TOP
7 - to choose National Language Support (NLS) Languages
Because I haven't seen directory oraNLS is this 1 good choose for stage.
Thanks, and sorry because I am new in this area.

I want to call the XML value in JSP file as dropdown list and once dropdown selected, user needs to display link of SAP GUI system in table.
Please can you advise which approach will be the best on external and internal portal.
    Appreciate on your feedback.
    Thanks,

    Hi Praveen,
for internal portal, you can create 4 different system object in portal landscape for 4 different systems and then implement sso between portal to those system and use sap transaction iview
for external portal, go with your way.

  • ESR role in different development, test, and production systems

    Hello,
I want to know the role of ESR in development, test, and production system. Do I have to install ESR in every seprate installated SAP CE machine??? or should It be centrally and development., test and production systems can use it?? Does software release process effects in the whole landscape??
does Test and Production system requires ESR??? or all used services are embed into released software SCA files to test and production system???
    Regards,
    Naeem

    Hey,
as far as I understood the ESR is a design time tool, i think  you don't need to have a productive instance.
I think it should be installed on your PI systems. And I would prefer to have at least a devel and a test installation, to
separate services on test machines from those who are running on productive systems.
as you can't differentiate the services by their name but just by their systems, you should have separate ESR Instances.
Nevertheless I think it could be possible to run only one ESR....

  • Production system showing 40 Dumps with "MEMORY_NO_MORE_PAGIN"

    Hi All,
My production system suddenly showing  around 40 dump with the below name "MEMORY_NO_MORE_PAGIN"
Plz. Let me know in details how to resolve this issue.
    Runtime Errors         MEMORY_NO_MORE_PAGING
           Occurred on     05/02/2007 at 14:06:35
    Error analysis
The ABAP/4 runtime system and the ABAP/4 compiler use a common
interface to store different types of data in different parts of
the SAP paging area. This data includes the
ABAP/4 memory (EXPORT TO MEMORY), the SUBMIT REPORT parameters,
CALL DIALOG and CALL TRANSACTION USING, as well as internally defined
    macros (specified with DEFINE).
To store further data in the SAP paging area, you attempted to
allocate a new SAP paging block, but no more blocks were
    available.
When the SAP paging overflow occurred, the ABAP/4 memory contained
entries for 50 of different IDs.
    Please note:
To facilitate error handling, the ABAP/4 memory was
    deleted.

  • WebService in Adobe Forms in Test and Production Systems

    Hello Friends,
I am facing a peculiar problem with the webservice. I have created one Adobe Form in Development system and in that Adobe Form I used one WebService to get the User's Complete Name. Its working fine in Development System. And all the WebDynpro Component's and Applications, RFC Function Module(for WebService), WebService Name were placed in same Request ID and this request is being moved from Development System to Quality system, here all the objects were present except WebService Name i.e. this service can be seen only from SOAMANAGER Transaction but not from SICF Transaction(As given in SAP Note: 1318499). And I came to know that we need to use only SOAMANAGER transaction ONLY in Quality or Production systems.
But while creating Data Connection in Adobe Form I used SOAMANAGER's generated URL and it got created successfully and while triggering the WebService at Runtime based on some event I am writing JavaScript Code and here I am using the URL where it is generated from SICF Transaction.
Friends please help me in solving the issue as which URL I need to use in Adobe Form at runtime(i.e. triggering webservice from JavaScript, the URL from SOAMANAGER is not working in JavaScript).

  • Test and Production system

Hy all. Our Problem is the following. One of our customers wants to have a Productive and a Test-Instance of Oracle DB and Mobile Server.
If you create an application, the Mobile Server is creating Tables (CVR$..., CEQ$...) in the schema where the original tables are.
If we now make a Synchronisation Productive - Test from our original schema (which we use for our normal program) the tables from the Testmobile Server would be overwritten with the tables from the Production Mobile Server. I think this would cause a lot of problems.
Is anybody here, who had this situation too and who could get me any hint how to handle this?
Thanks in advance for any answers.
    Holger

    Hello rekounas,
first of all thanks for your answer. Perhaps I try to describe the situation another way:
I have two separate databases. One for test environment and one for productive
    environment.
Case there is no Mobile Server installation at all. If I want to have recent
data in the test database, our customer takes a dump (from our schema in the
database) from the production environment and imports it in the test database
    (after dropping the equivalent schema).
Now, there is a problem with this if there is a mobile Server involved.
There are two Mobile Server installed with two different Repositories. One in
the Production system, one in the Test system.
If we now take our dump and import in the test system, we have the tables from
the Production Mobile Server (which he generated in our schema while creating
the application in mobile manager) in the schema from the Test-Mobile Server
    (CEQ$.., CVR$.....).
I don't think the Test Mobile Server can handle this, can't he?
I hope I described the problem understandable.

    Holger

  • Identification Test- and Production-System in Mapping

    Hi,
we have a Java-function in a mapping step.
There we need an identification if it runs in our Test- or Production-system.
Currently we use a property file in the Java-Package for realizing this.
But this is not a very good solution. The last time we transport the archive to our production system somebody forgot to change this property file and therefore we had some trouble in our production.
Does anybody have an idea how we can identify the system name of the XI-system in a Java-Mapping?
Is there perhaps any constant we can use of the Map input-parameter?
In the documentation I didn't found anything about this.
    Best Regards,
    Thorsten

    Thorsten,
Try using System.getProperty("SAPSYSTEMNAME") in your Java function.

  • Difference in the performance of Quality and Production system

    Hi All,
We have a scenario wherein we refreshed the production system data into quality system 1 month ago.
Few days back we noticed that when we are trying to fetch data from COMM_PRODUCT database table (in CRM Production system) based on the product description.....it was taking 2-3 mins.
However, when we try the same in quality system, it takes only 10 secs. Any idea as to how there is such a difference when both the production and quality contain nearly same data (was refreshed only one month ago).
    Any thoughts on this?

You should really search the forum before asking. Exactly the same question was asked and answered here two weeks ago: Performance of the program is very good in Quality but Very poor in Prod.

  • Output Difference in different Production system. Urgent

    Hello All,
In the development system we have screen exit in QM02/QM01 with two block b1 and b2.
This is transported to several  production systems.
    Now the problem is :
In some systems it is working good. But in few only one block is displayed.
    Please help.
    Thanks,

Check for linkages. Is the binding activated betwwen workflow to task container.
Check whether values appear in task container or not.
Then check for binding between task & method container. Is there any event linked with the task. Is the event linkage is activated.
The problem might be resolved if all the linkages are correct.

  • Dunning report difference in dev, testing and prod server in sap

    Hi all..
we are facing a problem while executing the tcode f150 in dev, tsting and production server.
while giving the same run on and identification, the different parameters are coming and the status is geting changed.
in ker,the process is getting compelted,in testing the process is getting sceduled, complete but getting the status as"process completed but job deleted".
and in production, the status like testing server is coming but some tabs(from the too bar where delete, etc lies)are not getting to see,its not showing up.
please tell me if we can check it through some tcodes,or eliminate the eorr.
we are not able to locate the cause behind.thanks in adv.

    Hi chandu,
In my previous Organisation we got exactly the same landscape for BW as you described.BCS(BAYER COPSCIENCE LTD) operates a BW System Landscape with one centralized  Global Development System and three regional Quality Assurance and Production Systems located in Europe, Asia Pacific and Americas. This Landscape is to ensure consistent data models to be available in all regional systems as well as to minimize development efforts and make use of respective synergies.
This is perfectly working  for BCS ,and I think, this is the most approriate way of handling of resources.
