1 input msg, 2 output files

Hi Everyone:
  The scenario is as follows, I have an input msg which looks like this:
<ACCOUNT>
  <HEADER>
  </HEADER>
  <DETAIL>          <---  occurence 1:unbounded
  </DETAIL>
</ACCOUNT>
and somehow after doing the necessary mapping, etc I need to end up with 2 output files, one with the HEADER data (header.txt) and the other with the DETAIL data (detail.txt).  Can I use File Content Conversion to do this? if so, how?   I'm new to this environment so I'll appreciate any help

Hi Carlos,
you have to use BPM (business process) to do this:
you can send several file from BPM
you can do 2 mappings:
input file to first file (header)
input file to second file (detail)
this way you'll have you scenario done:)
BTW
you use: File Content Conversion only when you send/receive data to XI inside you handle everything in XML
but sure you have to use File Content Conversion to map
inbound file to xml file representation in XI
and later on use File Content Conversion again to
map two aboutbound files from XML structures to flat
destination files

michal

  • 3.1 Input and Output File Repositories

    I am having an issue with setting the input and output file repositories in 3.1.
    When I go into the CMC under servers and select them I go to the bottom of the properties and change the File Store Directory location.
    Once I do that there is a second box that says Current: %DefaultInputFRSDir% and a note in Red that I must restart the server for settings to take effect.
    I have restarted all the BO services and restarted the physical server and yet the note remains and the setting doesn't appear to take effect.
    Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
    Also, our repositories are on a file server, and in XI R2 we changed the services in Windows to run as a user account that had access to them. How do you do that in this version?

    Got it.
    Changed the ID used to run the SIA and everything is working now.

  • Different input and output xml files [encoding]

    Welcome. I write a little code that connect to ftp server, log in, than search an input xml file. That file is input for BufferedReader. This data are writing to local file. Im from poland and i wish use polish fonts and that fonts are broken in this output file (input is ok, it's write in editor that support utf-8 encodding)
    Code of my program:
    http://www.piotrkow.net.pl/~loko/xml_java/java_pyt.html
    Input file:
    http://www.piotrkow.net.pl/~loko/xml_java/agreeting[input].xml
    Output file (totaly broken):
    http://www.piotrkow.net.pl/~loko/xml_java/agreeting[output].xml
    How do I fix this? Please help.

  • Input file should be deleted only after the output file is successful.

    Hi Experts,
    Could you pleas solve the below issue.
                           In  a file to file scenario, the input file will be picked from a directory location and after processing output file will be placed in the output directory location specified in the receiver communication channel.
    In the sender communication channel for the scenario mentioned above, if the processing mode is given as delete, the input file will be delete as soon as the file was successfully read by the adapter, but this will not ensure that the file processing is complete and the output file is being created.
    If we have a scenario in such as way that the input file should be deleted from the input folder only if the complete process is successful and the output is generated. how can we achieve this functionality?.
    And one more thing if we got the successful output the output file should be placed in one folder. and the if the output file is having errors it should be placed in other folder.

    Hi,
    In Receiver communication channel I have used the below command in Run Operating System
    .And I have kept the processing mode of sender communication channel as test.
    cmd.exe: /C "del /Leela/test.xml"
    You are running the comman line program configured in the receiver File Adapter,but in command line you mentioned the Sender File Folder , So i guess it's not getting processed.
    Try this:
    Try to run the command line in the Sender File Adapter Side
    "Place this in " --> Run OS Command After Message Processing.
    Hope this would work and get in parrallel with u r requirement.
    regards
    Srini

  • 1 input file to 2 output file mapping. Please help!

    Hi Experts,
      I have a snenario where from one input file I have to generate two output files. My sender and receiver systems are the same since I want to generate the output files in the same location. I am using both the systems same just for testing purpose.
    So in IR I have created
      1. one outbound interface for the input file
      2. two inbound interfaces for the output files
      3. one message mapping containing one input message
          transformation to two output messages.
      4. one interface mapping containing one input interface
          transformation to two output interfaces.
      In ID I have created
        1. one file sender channel and two receiver channels for two output files with different names.
        2. two receiver agreements
        3. one sender agreement
        4. one interface determination of type "Enhanced".
        5. one receiver determination
      But when I run the scenario given one valid input file  I am getting the error in the sxmb_moni : RuntimeException in Message-Mapping transformation: Cannot produce target element.
    However message mapping and interface mapping works perfectly if I test it in IR with the same input file.
    Can somebody help me understand what I might be doing wrong?
    Have I done the configuration correctly for 1:N mapping?
    Please help! I will be greatfull to you if you can help me.
    Thanks
    Gopal

    If my input file is like this:
       <ns1:LocationMsg_MT xmlns:ns1="http://www.abc.com/Gopal">
             <Location>
             </Location>
    </ns1:LocationMsg_MT >
    Then my scenario is working.
    But my input file will be like this:
    <LocationMsg_MT>
             <Location>
             </Location>
    <LocationMsg_MT >
    This is giving problem.
    How to handle this kind of file?
    Thanks

  • How to control (the input and output) EXE file after I call it using exec?

    Hi,
    I knew that I can use runtime.exec() to call one EXE file, and this works. But this EXE has two characteristics:
    1. After this exe starts, it asks user to input number such as 1 or 2 onto computer screen, then press return. Then the exe will start the calculation.
    2. after it starts calculation, it prints 3 columns of numbers onto the screen.
    My two questions are:
    1. How to use java to input the number such as 1 or 2 automatically? this EXE can not work like this in DOS command line:
    C:> file.exe parameter
    The parameter is the number such as 1 or 2 that I wanna input.
    2. how to redirect the 3 columns of numbers from computer screen to txt file?
    My colleague can solve these two questions using Mathematica. So I know that definitely there is at least one solution for it. I just can not do it using Java. This wierd exe file bothered me a lot and I really wish that I can get help from someone in java community.
    Thank you!
    Tony

    When you call Runtime.exec, you get a Process object. (I presume something similar happens when you use ProcessBuilder.) Process has methods with names getOutput, getInput, and getError. These correspond to the standard input, standard output, and standard error streams of the spawned process.
    You can read and write to the process on the streams corresponding to input and output that the process writes to the console.
    [add]
    In fact, you should be grabbing and reading the output/error streams anyway, because of the points raised by the Traps article. Google "Java Runtime exec traps" and you'll probably get a link to this JavaWorld article, which describes common Runtime.exec problems and how to solve them.

  • Require output file name same as input file without extension

    I am doing a POC where I require that my output file name should be same as input file name. The input is a XML and output is Flatfile. If I use %SourceFileName%,
    i am getting the output with extension. How can I remove the extension? Do I need to write a custom pipeline component?

    I don't think Orchestration or custom Pipeline can help you on this as  you are setting
    %SourceFileName% Macros at your send Handler which comes after Pipeline Processing .
    As you are converting xml file to Flat file I would suggest to use  Macros  as
    %SourceFileName%.txt
    %SourceFileName% Macro gives the file name along with extention. This won't work!

  • How to change the layout of an input file and write to an output file

    Hi

                                  bypassedCount++;
                                 }

    There are two split( ... ) methods; check the other one (the one with two arguments), it allows for empty entries to be counted, i.e. split(inputString, -1) gives you the wanted results.

  • How to apply input file name to output file in file adapter

    Hi Friends
    In my file to file scenario,i want to use input file name to output file by using adapter specific attributes,for this i have java code.Please suggest me how can i use this java code in mesg mapping and to which field i need to mapping this.
    Thanks
    pullarao

    Hi Pullarao,
    I have two questions ...
    1. Are u want the static file name in the target file?
    if yes...then follow the Bhavesh instruction.
    2.If u want a dynamic file name in the target file using UDF....then your UDF should mapped to the <b>root element</b> of target structure.
    /**********UDF********/
    Imports: com.sap.aii.mapping.api.*;
    Parameter: String filename
    String filename;
    filename = fileName + ".DAT";
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container
           .getTransformationParameters()
           .get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create( "http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File", "FileName");
    conf.put(key, filename);
    return filename;
    /*******END UDF*******/

  • Using a data output file as an input file for test development

    I have an output file from a system that I would like to use to simulate the device being attached to the computer.  Using the read module I can input the entire file into the charting module, but it reads the entire file.  Is there a way setup the input to read one line approx. once per second and chart it (i.e.. A 3600 line file would take approx. 1 hour to read and chart)?
    Thanks in advance.

    Set up the Read module to only read once per second or minute....
    If you're reading a DDF file, it will always read back a full block of data, so you want to have stored the data at one sample/block. One way to do that is to read it back and write is out as ASCII, so that DASYLab loses the block size context.

  • SQL PLUS log input and output to file

    What is the way to log every activity in sqlplus, input and output to a file (interactively).
    I managed to do it using rlwrap and tee but the only problem is, it is displaying the password and logging it into file as well :D. I can remove it from the logfile but am unable to prevent from showing the password.
    I hope many might have wanted to do this, and some might have been succeeded. Please share your ideas!

    Here is the some environmental setup;
    I've installed cygwin with rlwrap package
    I've renamed the original sqlplus.exe to _sqlplus.exe
    I've placed mysqlplus.bat and sqlplus.bat in N:\tools and this location includes in the pathwhere sqlplus.bat contains
    @echo off
    rlwrap -a"Enter" mysqlplus.bat %*perhaps this is more related to linux commands but I want to log input and output of sqlplus!

    I did not take the time to try to decipher what your program is doing, but I think you could replace all those feedback nodes and Build Arrays with an integer data type and the Rotate function from the Numeric >> Data Manipulation palette.  You will still need one shift regsiter or rfeedback node for each of the four signals.
    You have duplicated code: Divide by 65535, multiply by 2, and subtact 1 followed by a > comparison.  Make that a subVI and place 4 instances on your block diagram.
    Those simple changes will make you diagram understandable, reduce its size to the size of a postcard, and make any future changes easier.
