11g can't find class oracle.help.htmlBrowser.ICEBrowser???
Hello-
I've downloaded JDeveloper 11g and am trying to run an application that I wrote with 10g.
In my project properties-Libraries I have a Library called ICE which points to jlib\oracle_ice.jar.
When I compile I get error messages which say "class oracle.help.htmlBrowser.ICEBrowser not found".
Does 11g not have the ICE Browser any more?
-Reg
Hello-
I fixed the problem.
It seems that I needed to add jlib/ohj.jar to the library.
Once I did that the problem was fixed.
Thanks for your help.

HELP - 'Can't find class' error
I have just bought a new computer with Windows XP and downloaded and installed the new versions of the jdk, jre, etc.
I have written the Hello World program to check that everything works. It compiles fine, but when I try to run I get an error - Can't find class helloworld - and then it exits.
I know that the path variable is set correctly and I used to have to set the classpath as well, but have been told that this is not necessary.
I really need to get this working as have some important programming to do.
Thanks for any help,
OllyTry this;-
prompt>set CLASSPATH=
.......> return key
prompt>java helloWorld
Hello World!
prompt>
AMAZING!
This works fine. Thanx.
Is there any way to set it so that I dont have to do
the set classpath stuff each time I run a program
though?
CheersWell, set a system variable
CLASSPATH=.;<java_home>\jre\lib\rt.jar

Can't find class error on Tru64 UNIX
I have written a class, TextProcessor, and I can compile and run it without any problems on my Win2K box. I ftp the source to works Tru64 box and compile the class just fine. When I issue the command "java TextProcessor" I get the msg "Can't find class TextProcessor". I immediately thought I had a classpath issue. I messed around with setting my classpath but without luck.
I then wrote a new class on the Unix box using vi called Hello.java. I compile the Hello class without a problem. I issue the command "java Hello" and get "Hello!", just like I am supposed to get.
The 2 classes reside in the same directory, TextProcessor does not have any package statements. I am totaly confused.
Environment information:
Tru64 UNIX version 5 or so.
JDK 1.1.8 (not my choice and I have no control over the JDK)
JRE 1.2.2 is also installed.
Please help!
ThanksMaybe.....
Make sure that you have the permissions necesary to read, write and execute the file from your own account.
If you canno't find any class maybe is because you cannot read.
What account are you used to pute the file from Win?
you can try this...
chmod 777 TextProcessor.java
chmod 777 TextProcessor.class
But......????? uhmmmmmm??
I'm not sure, because If you can compile then you can read the file, but it's depends you umask ......
it's only a suggest -
i have win xp as my OS and jdk1.1.8 installed. I have my class path set correctly. I have changed the environment variable to c:\jdk1.1.8\bin
When I compile my java programs using javac at the command prompt, the program compiles successfully and the class file is made but when I run it I get the erro "can't find class filename"
I there some other way to set the class path in XP .
I don't understand where I am going wrong.
Please help...to run a java file you would type c:\jdk1.1.8\bin\java ClassName
leave it at that, i think the error your getting is caused when you type the .class extention ie. c:\jdk1.1.8\bin\java ClassName.class -
I upgraded my Iphone to IOS6, but now I can't connect it to itunes (10.6.3) because it is not upgraded. However, when I want to upgraded, it says that my computer (imac Mac OS 10.5.8) needs to be upgraded to another version. I can't find anything to help me out.
You need iTunes 10.7 or later.
To get this, you need Mac OS 10.6.8 or later.
You can get 10.6 Snow Leopard here -> http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard -
Where can I find detailed, systematic HELP for advanced topics relating to Thunderbird?
In moving from XP to Windows 7, I opted for Thunderbird as email client in order to bypass Microsoft's hyper-intrusive Windows Live Mail (I used Outlook Express for years).
I have a very complicated email structure, and it's taken me weeks (seriously) to learn how to replicate it in TBird. Now I'm trying to customize TBird further, but none of the TBird articles/forum Q&A's/Google searches address my questions.
There is no live tech support for TBird, and I'm just about ready to leave it for good. However -- one last effort: where can I find detailed, systematic HELP for advanced topics relating to Thunderbird?
Thanks.I am no expert, but I don't know of any authoritative reference as to what elements of HTML and CSS are supported in Thunderbird. However, as I believe you appreciate, it's more than just what Thunderbird supports, but one must also think about what is likely to work in other email clients. Keep it simple. Avoid ancient deprecated tags that other email clients may not support, and for similar reasons, avoid cutting edge technology. Remember that recipients using tablets or smartphones won't appreciate large fancy email documents.
The only thing ''guaranteed'' to work in email is plain text. ;-)
If you haven't already discovered it, the Stationery add-on is designed specifically to support OE stationery in Thunderbird. Your existing stationery may "just work" in this add-on. It makes switching between various stationery templates much easier, but I'm not confident that it will affect interpretation of your CSS or HTML coding.
Your code is at least clean and minimal. Most times my involvement with troublesome templates and signatures centres on the horrible bloat and mso custom code generated by Word or Outlook.
Having said that, you and I are mortal enemies, as I don't have much patience with what you aspire to achieve. I specifically don't like background images, nor being obliged to suffer other folks' bizarre choice of typefaces and colours (but your simple 12pt black Tahoma is quite inoffensive. ;-) ) I'm of an age where my tolerance and eyesight are easily offended.
Nonetheless, I'm intrigued by how to parse the tag for the background image, as it doesn't look like a legitimate pathname to a graphics file. Does the background image actually appear as required? -
Since updating to 3.6.1 I don’t get an empty browser window in my tool bar when it opens --- just a list of search engines. I can’t find anything in “Help” or the FAQ’s that seem to address this.
My only choice seems to go back to Safari.I am not sure what your problem is, can you give more details.
One possibility is you may be in full screen mode, for details on fixing that see the [[menu bar is missing]] article.
If you are missing various toolbar items, see the [[back and forward or other toolbar items are missing]] article.
If your problem is something else please give more details. -
