  • EBS 11i - Concurrent Manager goes down due to network failure.

    Hi,
We have a Single Node Oracle EBS 11i (11.5.10) [upgraded from 11.0.3] Production Instance on a Windows 2003 (32-Bit) server.
We have UPS support for the Server but the Netwok Switch is not on UPS. Due to this whenever there is a power trip the network goes down and due to this the Concurrent Manager (only)goes down. All other Apps Tier and DB Tier services are up inlcluding the 806 Listener (APPS_SID).
Is this how it is designed to work? Is there anyway to ensure that the Conc. Manager does not go down due to network failure.
    Rgds,
    Thiru

  • 11i Concurrent Manager server bluescreens intermittently

    We had the following configuration:
    10.7character on VMS.
    We upgraded to:
11.5.4 with database on VMS and middle tiers on NT boxes (conc mgr on one NT server and four other NT boxes for Forms servers).
The first 6 weeks of being on 11i, things were OK. In the last 6 weeks, however, whenever our load of concurrent requests on out NT box gets "high" (unscientific specification), the box blue screen's. Oracle support says that we should pursue Microsoft with our memory dump file from the blue screen.
Has anyone else had intermittent blue screen's of the concurrent manager server when the load on it gets high?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Concurrent job executable question

    Hi,
I need to modify a report run under the concurrent job called Planning Detail Report. Normally, when the executable is an Oracle report I can find it on the server, but this report executable method is setup at "Spawned" and I am not sure how to find the code behind this report. Can someone please tell me where to find this?
    Regards,
    Steve

Spwaned program are found in the bin directory.
Since planning detail report is under MRP, you will find it under $MRP_TOP/bin
Oracle gives only executable for spawned programs; you do not get the source code. And it is almost impossible to modify these programs.
However, you can make some attempt to gleam at the logic. In the past, I have run strings command on spawned executable to sneak some peeks into Oracle's logic. I was lucky enough to find what I needed but that is not guaranteed.
    Hope this helps,

Periodically, we'll have a scheduled concurrent process which will be running every 5 or 10 minutes which will cease to reschedule itself. Anyone have this experience, as well? No outage occured or other manual intervention which would have caused this to happen.

    Hi,
Spool to PDF : FM 'CONVERT_ABAPSOOLJOB_2_PDF'
Table TSP01 to get spool number
You ,may need to convert OTF to PDF: FM CONVERT_OTF
and the to binary : FM 'SMCS_XSTRING_TO_BINARY'
To send mail use class: cl_document _bcs.

    1. JOB_QUEUE_PROCESSES to be non-zero
    2. A commit after submitting the job

What am I doing wrong that the while loop does not terminate when it reads to end of the message using this "readLine()"?
It does not execute the next statement after the while-loop unless you disconnect the connection from the client.
    Help!

readLine() will wait for more lines forever, or until the other end closes the connection. (For completeness: there are other termination situations too, mostly error conditions.)
You have a multi-line message? Send some kind of an end-of-message line and check for it in your read loop. E.g. "." on a line all by itself. Caveat: if the message itself can contain a line like that you'll need to quote that line somehow. Another approach: send the number of lines in the message first. Requires that you know the number beforehand.

  • Job RDDEXECL terminated with error.

    Hi!
I am facing with hanging SPAM error in phase IMPORT_PROPER (patch of SAPKB70013 - SAPKB70016).
The SPAM patch terminates after a few sec. in DDIC activation action.
I have looked into log file and founded folllowing:
The job RDDEXECL terminated with error.
The reason seems to be sysntax error in program "CL_PROXY_SERVICE=======CP".
Futhermore I could detect that table SI_WD_FIRST_MAIN_SCREEN cannot be activated.
Can some one help me to solve this problem?
Of great interest was the following:
rescedule possibilities of job RDDEEXECL in order to contibue patch
start of SPAM or tp-commando by ignoring this error
Any helpful information will be very appreciated!

What do you mean with reimport?
I tried for almost 100 times to restart the import.
