How to import existing BPM project in jDeveloper
Hi,
I am new to oracle BPM.
I have imported oracle BPM+SOA project in jedeveloper using (file->import->soa archive into soa project). I am able to see SOA composite in jdeveloper but not BPM processes. instead of BPM process it showing "unknown project object"
I have also used other way like unzip jar file and copy paste all files from jar to jedeveloper project but no use.
Restarted jdeveloper but still showing error.
please help me.Well there are two options - if you have a WAR file with the code in it, then you can use the file->import WAR.
Or you can use the new->Project from source code.
Note that you'll probably need to do some library settings and some directory setting after that.

I have no idea what i have to fix.
Is there any suggestion or i have to create a new Application in jdev by scrath.
Ciao PieroI had the same problem while trying to "Save to BPM MDS" from jDeveloper, while I tried to save the BPM project to a directory (in terms of BPM Composer) in the BPM MDS, where the original project I checked out still was located in. The (old) project in the BPM MDS was still locked by the user I used to save the newer BPM perject version to BPM MDS. On the otherhand, I worked fine after I changed the applications name. Not what versioning should be like, but at least a workaround.

How to import existing eclipse Project to JDeveloper
Hi,
previously I used to use Eclipse IDE. I have started to use Oracle JDeveloper 11.1.2.4.0 now. How can I import my existing Eclipse projects to JDeveloper? Please Note, I already have tried following options -
"Importing Existing Files into a New JDeveloper Project" from here - Working with Applications and Projects.
But, When I import the source files from existing Eclipse Projects to JDeveloper, I am not able to crease similar directory structure in the JDeveloper(in Application Navigator). As a result, I can not use my existing ANT build script to build my project[Though JDeveloper build my project, but I want to use manual ANT build.]
Moreover I don't want to change my existing directory structure as I am working on and existing project and I need to synchronize to my repository(Apache SVN).
Can any one help me in this - How can I import existing Eclipse Project to JDeveloper? Without any significant change in directory structure.
Best Regards

The "Model" project which worked has the following technology scopes:
Ant
Database
EJB
Java
TopLink
UML
The "User Interface" project which did not work has the following technology scopes:
Java
JSF
JSP and Servlets
1. Any ideas on what I can do to work around this problem?
2. How can I help you debug this issue?

Error while saving BPM Project to MDS: BPM-70801 : Metadata operation failed
Dear All,
I am working on BPM 11g.
I installed the following products for BPM 11g
OS: Windows 7 SP1 Professional Edition all with 32 bit
Installed s/w:
JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.0 Generic Version
OracleXE 11.2 Win32
ofm soa generic 11.1.1.6.0
wls 10.3.5
RCU 11.1.1.6 for schemas dev_soainfra, dev_sdpm and dev_mds - Utility run successfully.
Overall Installation is successful wth no issues.
Configuration of Weblogic server for domain is ok with admin server, soa_server1 and bam_server1 with test connections is ok.
I am using browser as Internet Explorer 9
In Jdeveloper 11.1.1.6.0 after creating application, project and process
From BPM MDS Navigator I configured the connection for Database 11g XE as well using
Override Application Server user/password
For SOA MDS I included the dev_mds user with MDS partition as obpm
tested connections all ok (weblogic and soa_server1 up and running)
In Jdeveloper I am able to export the BPM successfully.
In the BPM Project Navigator when I use the Project --> SalesQuote.jpr --> right clicking with
option as Save to BPM MDS the following error is occured as
"Error while saving BPM Project to MDS: BPM-70801 : Metadata operation failed".
If the error is resolved than I can see the project in BPM composer.
My queries on this error are
1) Has soa_server anything to do with this error
2) Is dev_mds schema to be reviewed
what can be the possibility to resolve the BPM-70801 error.
Please provide the solution ASAP or send me the reply to my [email protected]
Regards
Ajaz AhmedHello Ajaz,
BPM-70801 is a very generic error that can have multiple causes. Please provide the error log from servers log file. From what I understand, you are using a separate soa_server1, so watch out /your_domain/servers/soa_server1/logs/soa_server1.log

Any Idea?
Regards,
AnshulI've noticed similar issues when working with 12c Composer's PAM as the sharing mechanism.
If you can, bring your project up in Oracle BPM Studio and then export it as an .exp file. You should then be able to import it back into Composer.

Hello,
My BPM application was running fine. When I add one more Webdynpro component as dependent project and use Its UI on certain step. Since then my BPM application has an error in building the project which is
"Build fail for <project name> in variant "default": the build terminated with errors"
One I have seen the log file the "buildpluginfalaxy" has the property as build type = default.
But it was normal always I get warning message but now its an error. I can use my application.
does any one know about this.

[JDeveloper/BPEL] "repository.jar" is missing when building the project
Hi,
First of all let me say that I'm new to JDeveloper and BPEL. I followed the "CreditFlow" tutorial and everything was OK. I could deploy and run it. Then I wanted to create my own webservice and try to create a simple HelloWorld BPEL workflow. My problem now is that I get a "Error: C:\oracle\JDeveloper\jlib\repository.jar (The system cannot find the file specified)" error when I build my project.
I had the same error message for the following jars:
-jaxb-libs.jar
-jaxb-impl.jar
-jaxb-api.jar
I just copied them from "<jdeveloper_inst_dir>\adfp\lib" to "<jdeveloper_inst_dir>\webservices\lib" to get rid of thoses error messages.
But this "repository.jar" simply doesn't exist on my filesystem...
I think it's pretty strange...
BTW I use JDeveloper version 10.1.3.3.0.
Thanks for any help!
NicolasHi,
I am getting the same error. Any help is greatly appreciated.
May be if you have repossotory.jar in your lib folder by any chance please send it to [email protected]
Thanks -
Error building project using kXML2 - "Class loading error: Wrong name"
Hi,
I'm testing the XML-Parser KXML2 and downloaded the latest package, but the minimal version (kxml2-min.zip). I put this file into the directory "%j2mewtk%\apps\KxmlTest\lib" and wrote the lines
import org.kxml2.io.*;
import org.xmlpull.v1.*;
When I try to build the project with the Wireless Toolkit (v1.04) it spits out the following error:
Error preverifying class kxml2.io.KXmlParser
Class loading error: Wrong name
com.sun.kvem.ktools.ExecutionException: Preverifier returned 1
Build failed
I also tried the full package "kxml2.zip" but the same error occurs.
How can I get rid of this? Thanks in advance!Okay, finally worked it out (hopefully). I unpacked the archive to a directory (say "%J2MEWTK%\apps\KxmlTest\tmpclasses") and then preverified them "manually":
%J2SDK%\bin\preverify.exe -classpath "%J2MEWTK%\apps\KxmlTest\tmpclasses";"%J2MEWTK%\lib\midpapi.zip" org.kxml2.io.KXmlParser
%J2SDK%\bin\preverify.exe -classpath "%J2MEWTK%\apps\KxmlTest\tmpclasses";"%J2MEWTK%\lib\midpapi.zip" org.xmlpull.v1.XmlPullParser
%J2SDK%\bin\preverify.exe -classpath "%J2MEWTK%\apps\KxmlTest\tmpclasses";"%J2MEWTK%\lib\midpapi.zip" org.xmlpull.v1.XmlPullParserException
Then I packed them again to a jar-file:
%J2SDK%\bin\jar.exe -cvf kxml2-min.jar %J2MEWTK%\apps\KxmlTest\tmpclasses\output\.
That was all! -
How to generate a project report for a BPM project in Oracle Jdeveloper 11g
Hi,
Till Oracle 10g we can generate a project report by right clicking on project name in BPM studio project navigator.
Is this facility available with Jdeveloper 11g for BPM project as I am not able to generate the report.
If this is possible than please let me know how can i generate.
Thanks
GGHi there,
I would also like to know when the Project Report functionality will be available for 11g.
My client have several BA's who are crying out for documentation and exported diagrams, which are exactly what the Project Report features provided.
Any ideas if it will come back?
Cheers,

Classpath error while building the project.
Hi
I have created an application in which on clicking the button on one view , next view opens and data is displayed in the tables. This data i am giving as static, and for that i have created a java file. this java file is located in the subfolder i have created in the package path i have given. While building the application, i get these two errors :
1) The project was not built due to classpath errors (incomplete or involved in cycle).
2) Missing required source folder 'BPOutageTable/BPOT'
BPOutageTable is the application name, and BPOT is the subfolder in which java file is present.
This application is similar to "The Master/Detail Viewer Application" example in the tutorials.
Can anybody please help in this?
Thanks & regards,
AnupreetHi anupreet,
it error at buildtime means your code is not able to locate the folder and the java class.
if you switch to navigator menu and create java class in src/package node (in any package). You can get the class within the dynpro component / view.
Again try this, create a class say HelloClass in src/package node in some package. go to webdynpro view and try to access this class in dynpro code.

Error when publishing BPM project to MDS
Hello everyone,
I get this error when I try to publish a BPM project to MDS : Error while publishing BPM project to MDS: 'BPM-70800: An I/O error occurred'
I use SOA/BPM 11g version 11.1.1.4.
Thank in advance for your answer
BilelHello Ajaz,
BPM-70801 is a very generic error that can have multiple causes. Please provide the error log from servers log file. From what I understand, you are using a separate soa_server1, so watch out /your_domain/servers/soa_server1/logs/soa_server1.log
Regards
km
