Hey @all,
I want to make a ALV Grid with a Popup Window. The idea is that there is a field for notes and when you click on this field a popup window should be opened where you can insert more text or if text already exists only the first column of the text is shown in field until you click on the field.
Is there any possibility to do it this way? Do I have to make a second Grid for this Popup Window? Do anybody have an example how to solve this problem?
Thank you in advance for your answers!

How to remove values formatting in export to excel from ALV grid
Hi all,
I have small issue, I have ALV Grid with some data, but the problem is with columns containing e.g. gross amounts, because it is displayed in the grid as e.g. 1.764,81, and after export to excel it is still in this format (with dot and comma), so excel doesn't treat it as numeric value but as text, and then when I try to calculate total on the column then this values are not taken to the total. Do you know if that is possible to remove column formatting?
kind regards,
MarcinI replied too soon to Peter's suggestions. For some reason, I was able to add new info. to my first new row, but not the second. However, I finally figured out the problem.
I found the Help Center page on: "Here are ways to change custom formats and apply changes to table cells:"
To change the elements associated with a custom format that’s been applied to cells, select the cells and click Show Format in the Format pane of the Table inspector.
I saw that the "cell format" was listed as "automatic," so I changed it to "Custom;" then left the new custom window at it's default settings. Now my cells would accept pasted info. without spreading it through the lower rows. Whatever automatic was in the table, it was not what I wanted. Doing this to other new cells, solved my problem. Thanks again. -

Hi my friends,
I have written a small ALV Grid where some rows should be colored, dependend on their status in a table. But it's not working and I can't find out, why it is not working. I've already studied all the topics in this forum, which are related to 'row color alv grid', but I can't find the mistake in my code. Is anyone able to find out what is wrong here?
Thanks a lot for your help!

Hi,
I've changed the line to <b>ps_layout-stylefname = 'LINECOLOR'.</b>, but then I'm getting a runtime error 'ASSIGN_TYPE_CONFLICT' in program 'SAPLSLVC in line 2975'...
I don't have any idea what is causing that. -

Hi experts,
I am not able to download all the rows which are displayed in alv grid display for some material numbers.

Why is the spreadsheet empty when users download to Excel from ALV grid?
Users are seeing SAP GUI transaction results display in the ALV Grid when running an SAP Report; however, when they click the Download to Excel icon the spreadsheet is empty. When they use List...Export...Spreadsheet, the spreadsheet is filled.
This seems to only be happening with 'Z' transactions. Standard delivered transactions are OK.
Using SAP GUI for Windows and Excel 2003.Hi All,
I also have same Problem I my case when i click on 'Microsoft Excel' it does nothing. It does not even open a sheet.

*& Form USER_COMMAND
When user command is called it uses 2 parameters. The itab

Therefore, you can read table itab index rs_selfield-tabindex to get
all data from the table. You can also check r_ucomm and code
accordingly.

Your own company logo can go here if it has been saved (OAOR)
If the logo is larger than the size of the headings in gt_page,
the window will not show full logo and will have a scroll bar. Thus,
it is a good idea to have a standard ALV header if you are going to
use logos in your top of page.

form build_page_header.
For Headers, Key is not printed and is irrelevant. Will not cause
a syntax error, but is not used.
gs_page-typ = 'H'.
gs_page-info = 'Header 1'.
append gs_page to gt_page.
gs_page-typ = 'H'.
gs_page-info = 'Header 2'.
append gs_page to gt_page.
For Selections, the Key is printed (bold). It can be anything up to 20
bytes. It gets printed in order of code here, not by key value.
gs_page-typ = 'S'.
gs_page-key = 'And the winner is:'.
gs_page-info = 'Selection 1'.
append gs_page to gt_page.
gs_page-typ = 'S'.

For Action, Key is also irrelevant.
gs_page-typ = 'A'.
gs_page-info = 'Action goes here'.
append gs_page to gt_page.
endform. " build_page_header
Settings for the Logo :
01) GOTO - OAOR (Business Document Navigator)
02) Give Class Name - PICTURES
Class Type - OT
Object type - whatever you want to call your area EG: OURCOMP.... then Execute
03) Top left will say PICTURES. Bottom left will have multi tab. Select Create and double-click on Screen.
04) Select your image from the appropriate directory.
05) Give the image an appropriate name (not Screen)
06) It will tell you document stored successfully.
07) You can now find your logo under the heading OURCOMP in top left window.
08) You can reference the logo in things like FM REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE or any other area which may reference these things. EG: I_LOGO = 'OURCOMP'. You can preview image by double-clicking it.

Prevent Occurence of list header and page breaks in spool file of ALV Grid
Prevent Occurence of list header and page breaks in spool file of ALV Grid Display.
When we run the ALV in background and create spool request then:
Spool file output is coming like this.
Column1 Column2 Column3 Column4
data data data data
data data data data
data data data data
Column1 Column2 Column3 Column4
data data data data
data data data data
data data data data
But the required is like this
Column1 Column2 Column3 Column4
data data data data
data data data data
data data data data
data data data data
data data data data
data data data data
Please suggest a posible answerHello all,
if you have not yet solved this on your own, here is my solution: use a format type that has 60000 lines per page for your spool output device.
It all depends on the format type that was used for creating the spool output.
By default (in our system), we have 65 lines per page. And after each page the column headings of the ALV will appear.
What i did:
create a new format type via transaction SPAD->full administration->device types->format types (copy an existing one)
change"Number of Rows" to 60000 or something applicable
edit the device type of your output device (e.g. LOCL) to contain the newly created format type (via SPAD; Button "Formats" in device type maintenance).
That's it! Be sure to use this format type for your output device in the "Background Print Parameters" window (-> Button "Properties").
Regards
Daniel Klein
All other parameters you discussed before didn't do it. All ALV-Settings will be overwritten by the output device settings and its print properties. -
Print Issue with Sorted ALV Grid
Hi Team,
I am using ALV display for my Program. Iam using REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY. Also i have a Sorting condition for my ALV grid. So iam filling the Sort table & passing it to the Function module. The data is displayed correctly with Sorting as required in the Output.
Now the issue is with: Print from this ALV. When we try to print the data, The requirement is that the Print should be same as how it is displayed in the ALV. "Grouped Columns"..... But now, the Print is that all the data is filled in all the columns. But user wants the Print also to appear same as it is shown in a Sorted ALV display.(With some similar column data missing in succeding sort columns until new entry starts)
Please suggest a solution to acheive the same.
Thanks & regards,
ChaitanyaLook at Q#19 in the note 1009650. Merging functionality is available only for ALV grid display.

Work around would be to display the excel in the SAP window (Excel in Place) and print it from Excel. Read the following thread to make the necessary settings to make it work. Download Report exactly same as seems with Layout set !!

Resizing ALV Grid When Changing Screen Resolution
I have an ALV Grid imbedded in a custom container. I would like for the Grid to resize if the user switches from 1024x768 to 800x600 resolution. I obviously could size it for the lower res screen (and it would be ok on the higher res screen), but I ultimately would like it to resize. Does anyone know how to make this happen?
Is your Grid running within a custom container that was placed in the screen painter? If so this is very easy. Just make you screen very large (much larger then even 1024x768). When you lay down the custom container, make it large enough to fill the entire empty area. Your custom container should have a Resizing section in the attributes window. Just check on Vertical and Horizontal resizing and choose you minimum size.
