2 INFOSETs INTO ONE QUERY

Hi all,
I have created two infosets and was wondering if i can execute both of them in one query (ONE REPORT)?
Thanks

the multi provider is not working for me, im using common fields MATERIAL, PLANT and COMP CODE and FISCAL YEAR VARIANT. I initially tried to take all six Infoproviders in one Infoset but it seems that not all material numbers were showing. I tried the outer join and it worked for 3 infoproviders and as soon as i added the 4th IP it filtered the Material number down to 32 from 265. All 6 IP's have the MATERIAL and PLANT. What can i do in this situation?

  • Combining Sum/Case queries with different where clauses into one query

    Hello,
    I'm trying to combine 2 queries that contain the SUM/CASE function into one query that'll produce the output in the same table, rather than having two The thing is, the two queries have different conditions. I've created a sample data table and outputs to better describe what I'm trying to achieve.

    The first query I'm running is to sum the product codes department wise while checking if FLAG1 is Y. The second query is checking if FLAG2 is Y.
    First Query:
    select DEPT, sum(case PRODUCT_CODE when 'A' then 1 else 0 end),
    sum(case PRODUCT_CODE when 'B' then 1 else 0 end),
    sum(case PRODUCT_CODE when 'C' then 1 else 0 end)

    Second Query:

    Any help or tips will be greatly appreciated. Please note I'm working with more complex data and have simplified my question just to understand how to solve this.

    Just treat the two queries as tables, join them on DEPT and produce the results you want.
    with q1 as (
    select DEPT, sum(case PRODUCT_CODE when 'A' then 1 else 0 end) PRODA_FL1,
    sum(case PRODUCT_CODE when 'B' then 1 else 0 end) PRODB_FL1,
    sum(case PRODUCT_CODE when 'C' then 1 else 0 end) PRODC_FL1

    q2 as (
    select DEPT, sum(case PRODUCT_CODE when 'A' then 1 else 0 end) PRODA_FL2,
    sum(case PRODUCT_CODE when 'B' then 1 else 0 end) PRODB_FL2,
    sum(case PRODUCT_CODE when 'C' then 1 else 0 end) PRODC_FL2

    select q1.dept, proda_fl1, prodb_fl1, prodc_fl1, proda_fl2, prodb_fl2, prodc_fl2
    from q1, q2
    where q1.dept = q2.dept

  • Can we combine this into one query, just curious

    Dear all;
    I have a query of the following form
    select t.id, t.place  from tbl_one t
    where t.create_date < sysdateand
    select t.id, t.place  from tbl_one t
    where t.create_date < sysdate + 28just curious, can those two queries be combined to one. Thank you. All help is appreciated.

    Is this a trick question? You could combine the two queries using AND / OR clause but it wouldn't really solve anything.
    Lets look at each query.
    SELECT t.id, t.place FROM tbl_one t WHERE t.create_date < sysdateThe above query would return all records whose create_date is older than sysdate (now).
    SELECT t.id, t.place FROM tbl_one t WHERE t.create_date < sysdate OR t.create_date < sysdate + 28The above query would return all records whose create_date is older than sysdate (now) OR records whose create_date is older than sysdate (now) + 28 (or 28 increments in the future). These two queries are the same because if create_date is older than sysdate (now) by default it is older than any time future time. And since OR clause only requires one condition to be true sysdate+28 is unnecessary.
    Similarly, we could combine the two queries using the AND clause.
    SELECT t.id, t.place FROM tbl_one t WHERE t.create_date < sysdate AND t.create_date < sysdate + 28The above query would return all records whose create_date is older than sysdate AND older than sysdate+28. However, since the AND clause requires both conditions to be true, and since all sysdate +28 > sysdate the above query is equal to
    SELECT t.id, t.place FROM tbl_one t WHERE t.create_date < sysdate + 28Basically you COULD combined the two select statements but it would be pointless

  • Combining two queries into one query if possible

    Hi there. I would like, if possible, to somehow combine the queries 1) and 2) into a single query.
    1) select distinct user_id from system_user_sessions;
    This query returns all unique users from the indicated table.
    2) select count(session_id) from system_user_sessions where user_id = "each user_id returned from 1)";
    This query will return, for each distinct user_id, the number of sessions involving that user. In other words I would like to return the user_id of each user together with the number of session_ids involving that user.
    any ideas? Joe

    I assume you are looking for something like this:
    select count(session_id)
      from system_user_sessions
    where user_id in ( select distinct user_id
                          from system_user_sessions
                      );HTH

    009438837         160
    000040685          16
    000032410          18Total Unprocessed Cost can found using the sum of Quantities for a particular Item from above two queries multiplied by
    ITEM_COST for that ITEM (which is found in ITEM_DTL table). For every item; ITEM_DTL.item_id=CARTON_dTL.carton_id
    Total Unprocessed Cost= (Unprocessed Quantity1+Unprocessed Quantity2)*ITEM_DTL. ITEM_COST
    Note: Unprocessed Quantity2 query looks very similair to first SQL in UNION of Unprocessed Quantity1, but ah.STAT_CODE < 90 for Unprocessed Quantity2 query

    Hi,
    Put the two queries you posted in sub-queries. You can then use their result sets as if they were tables.
    Do something like this:
    WITH  uq1  AS
        select t.ITEM, sum(t.QTY) AS total
          from (select cd.ITEM_ID ITEM, cd.ACTL_QTY QTY
                  from CASE_HDR ch, CASE_DTL cd, ASN_HDR ah
        ... the rest of your first query goes here
    ,     uq2  AS
        select t.ITEM, sum(t.QTY)  AS total
             from (select cd.ITEM_ID ITEM, cd.ACTL_QTY QTY
                     from CASE_HDR ch, CASE_DTL cd, ASN_HDR ah
        ... the rest of your second query goes here
    SELECT  uq1.item
    ,       uq1.total  AS "Unprocessed Quantity1"
    ,       uq2.total  AS "Unprocessed Quantity2"
    ,       (uq1.total + uq2.total) * dtl.item_cost
                       AS "Total Uprocessed Cost"
    FROM    uq1
    JOIN    uq2               ON uq1.item = uq2.item
    JOIN    item_dtl   dtl    ON uq1.item = dtl.item;If some items are in uq1 but not in uq2 (or vice-versa), then you'll probably want to do outer joins.
    I don't have any of the tables used, so I can't test this myself.
    If you need more help. then post a little sample data from each of the tables, and the results you want from that data.
    It looks like you're doing the same join in each of your original queries.
    You can add another sub-query that does that join once, and then use that sub-query in sub-queries uq1 and uq2.

  • Getting Records Returned When Criteria Doesn't Match (Using One Query)

    I have made two queries which I would like to fold into one query if possible. The first query includes all grp_id's. The second query updates grp_id's with an (active) member count. This second query has criteria in it that grabs only grp_id's that have active members. This would be similar to say, for example, a left join situation where everything is returned from table A and only those matching from table B.
    The problem is that if I put these together, they have to be linked by grp_id, so obvioulsy, if I put these queries together, the only grp_id's I will get back are the ones that have active members in them, but as I mentioned, I need all grp_id's to be shown regardless of any active membership.
    So, here is the code that doesn't work to give a better idea of what I want.
    select g00.grp_id,
    count(m06.subs_ssn)
    from gmaster g00
    join m_elig m06 on
    g00.grp_id = m06.grp_id
    and m06.eff_date < sysdate
    and m06.exp_date > sysdate
    and m06.stat_code = 'ACTIVE'
    group by g00.grp_id
    Again, this will only give me counts for grp_id's with active members in them, whereas I want all grp_id's shown and those grp_id's without active members to have a zero next to the count..
    m06 gives the member data and g00 gives the grp_id data. The m06 eff_date and exp_date and stat_code as shown above determine active members..
    Thanks for any suggestions..

    I don't know why its not working. I did make an error in the intial posting of the data which was to put NOAM in grpid 'C'. I thought this might be my error, but I corrected it and am still getting the same results.
    I have repasted the DDL statements, the query I'm using, the results and also the data as it shows when I query the two tables. (my query is based off the tables created using the posted DDL).
    I also posted QUERY B. Which shows that the removal of the eff_dt and exp_dt criteria allows grp_id to be posted in the results, obviously showing 1 record as I no longer am defining an ACTIVE member by having criteria as posted in QUERY A.
    Is my LEFT OUTER JOIN statement written correctly?
    Also of note: I could not insert the data without the apostrophes in the dates. It gave me an error (Column not allowed here). Using the apostrophes eliminates this message and allows the data insertion. At least for now its not causing an issue as the data shows correct when I query it based a simple query of the dates.
    Using PL/SQL don't know if that makes a difference..?

  • SQL Query -How2bring multiple results into one field using Formatted Search

    Hi Everyone
    i am trying to bring in the results of the field dbo.Lot_ITEM.LOT using a formatted search into a row level using the following query:
    SELECT     dbo.LOT_ITEM.LOT
    FROM       dbo.DLN1 INNER JOIN dbo.LOT_ITEM ON dbo.DLN1.ItemCode = dbo.LOT_ITEM.ITEM
    WHERE     dbo.LOT_ITEM.ITEM=$[DLN1.ItemCode]
    however the result of the dbo.Lot_ITEM.LOT field could be more then one value depending on how many lots are assigned for that item
    (for example this query would be similar to assigning batch/serial numbers to an item being despatched - as you can choose multiple batches/serials depending on the quantities available and required and then move from the left to the right side of the selection window) if that makes sense!
    is it possible to bring in the multiple results into one field? and how can i amend the above query to include this?
    Thankyou in advance :o)

    Hi Suda
    Thanks for replying :o) but im not sure about the query?
    just to simplify it (as the query im working with is to do with 3rd party addons) i have used the serial/batchs field instead and used standard demo database fields from SBO 2005 sp01:
    SELECT     dbo.ixvSerialNoFact.SRI1_IntrSerial
    FROM       dbo.DLN1 INNER JOIN
                    dbo.ixvSerialNoFact ON dbo.DLN1.DocEntry = dbo.ixvSerialNoFact.SRI1_BaseEntry
    WHERE     dbo.ixvSerialNoFact.ItemCode='g1000' and dbo.ixvSerialNoFact.SRI1_BaseEntry = '193'
    The above brings me the relevant results but when i change it to be used in a formatted search:
    SELECT     dbo.ixvSerialNoFact.SRI1_IntrSerial
    FROM       dbo.DLN1 INNER JOIN
                    dbo.ixvSerialNoFact ON dbo.DLN1.DocEntry = dbo.ixvSerialNoFact.SRI1_BaseEntry
    WHERE     dbo.ixvSerialNoFact.ItemCode=$[dln1.itemcode] and dbo.ixvSerialNoFact.SRI1_BaseEntry = $[dln1.DocEntry]
    i cant seem to get it to work - now this may be because the serial number is not allocated until teh record is added to the system, however when this happens i am unable to go back in and manually trigger the query as the delivery note rows cannot be selected!
    i  think as what im originally wanting an answer for is same as this example, im wanting to know if this is even possible?
    Thanks

  • Multiple BI Query Results into one Table

    Hi All
    Can I embed Multiple queries into one table using VC?
    I have data in different BI sources(Info Areas) like sales and distribution,Shipments etc. Can I write any universal query to retrive data from multiple sources?(If any???)

    Hi Jan Pasha,
    My model contains two BW queries which uses UNION and sent result to one table.
    I tried using UNION also but when I use it I am able to see no records to select in result table.
    I donot have any coloums in common. Is it pre-requisite for using UNION?

  • Combine multiple web services with the same SQL query into one

    Hello,
    I would like to ask a question regarding combine multiple similar web services into one. Can you please tell me if it is possible to combine 4-5 web services into one since they built on the same SQL query with 5 different criterias or condition so that the user can enter any of the 5 criterias to populate the data on the form instead of having 5 different web services?
    e.g Query: Select appName, permit#, address, phone, description, type, section, from table where appName = can be 'appName, permit#, address, phone, or description' to populate the rest of the data to the form.
    Does any one have ever done some thing like this in Workbench ES? If so please assist. I know it can be easier to build it in Visual Basic, C#, or dot.net but the requirement is to build it in workbench ES.
    Thanks in advance,
    Han Dao

    If you are querying for Name, PhoneNumber, and SSN, and you queried for all people with a phone number that started with 867, you would have a potentially long list of people.  So to keep track of all of the people, we store each record in XML complex elements.  The root node is just any name you want, and the repeating element is the complex element name.
    So using the example from above, I'm going to specify the following:
         Root Node: Result
         Repeating Element: Person
    So now when I do a query, my resultXML will look like:
    <Result>
          <Person>
                 <Name>Alex</Name>
                 <PhoneNumber>867-5309</PhoneNumber>
                 <SSN>111-11-1111</SSN>
          </Person>
    </Result>
    If your query returned multiple results (like ours would probably), it would look like:
    <Result>
          <Person>
                 <Name>Alex</Name>
                 <PhoneNumber>867-5309</PhoneNumber>
                 <SSN>111-11-1111</SSN>
          </Person>
          <Person>
                 <Name>Han</Name>
                 <PhoneNumber>867-2169</PhoneNumber>
                 <SSN>222-22-2222</SSN>
          </Person>
    </Result>
    So Result and Person is just to give a little bit of structure to the xml result (containers really).  So you can name them whatever is helpful for you.
    The column name mappings map the query columns (Name, PhoneNumber, SSN) to some node in the XML (Name, PhoneNumber, SSN).  So you don't need to specify which field maps to what in the form.  Just copy the column names to the element name so you have a 1-to-1 naming.  If you want to manipulate the XML a bit though, you could do:
    Column Name               Element
    Name                            YourName
    PhoneNumber                Phone
    SSN                              Secret
    which would then make your xml look like:
    <Result>
          <Person>
                 <YourName>Alex</YourName>
                 <Phone>867-5309</Phone>
                 <Secret>111-11-1111</Secret>
          </Person>
    </Result>
    It lets you change the XML element names to whatever you want. Otherwise by default they take on their column names.
    In your form, you could bind to the WSDL through the Data Connections pane and point it to your web service.  This will then create form elements that you can just drag and drop allowing you to have the information available when the service gets ran.  Once the service is called, you can modify the field's data to get whatever information you need in order to populate other form fields.
    If that is too confusing, feel free to send me your form (e-mail is on profile page) and I'll add comments to it to show you how to set up the form for the web service call (and also give me the link to your webservice)

      We have BI for NW04S. We have a requirement of concatenating multiple characteristics into one field in the BI report. This single field should have the usual drill down and other olap functionalities that a single characteristic usually enjoy in a BI report.
      In BI for NW04 (Not the S) this probably can be done using the table interface in WAD. However in BI7 WAD functionality are through Java.
      Also can this be done using Query designer alone.
      Can anybody help?
      Thanks

    Hi,
      Can you please elaborate on your Query designer option. You can always have a variable and in the user exit can write code, but what is not clear that
    1> How will you acheive the contatenation done for every row of the report in the BEX user exit variable( since it's called during the beginning of the query execution and not for all rows of the report
    2> How do you transfer the char variable into a char field in the report.
    Please elaborate .
    Thanks

  • How to copy existing query report into new query report in SQ00

    Hi Experts,
    Hi Experts,
    I want to add fields "company code" "'region" to existing  query report AQZZ/SAPQUERY/FKF1============
    (list of vendor address) for this i done as following:
    1.In SQ01  go to "EDIT->other user group" and i selected user group as /SAPQUERY/FK
    2.I typed F1 in query field and click change button
    3.I clicked next screen button and entered into "change query f1: select fields screen".here i clicked "basic list" button and searched company code checkbox and saved it as result company code is appearing in the standard report"AQZZ/SAPQUERY/FKF1============"
    but unfortunately there is no region field(LFA1-REGIO) for this i think i should copy the existing  query report  into new query report(Ex:Z_LIST_OF_VEND) which should be 14 characters.please tell me briefly how to do this because this is first time i am using SQ00.
    one more issue is when i selected "edit-otheruser group" and choosing /SAPQUERY/FK  i  am getting only infoset "/SAPQUERY/FIKD" but i should need Info set: "/SAPQUERY/FIDD" please tell me how to add the previous one into user group.i think if i got /SAPQUERY/FIDD into usergroup  /SAPQUERY/FK i can add region also into Query report as i mentioned above by going SQ01 ...............................
    please help regarding this which should be very beneficiary to my carrier.
    Regards,
    naresh

    Hi Experts ,
    I solved issue by changing infoset in SQ02 by means of assigning field to field group and changed the query in SQ00.

  • Crystal Report Missing SAP InfoSet, SAP BW Query Connector

    Hi,
    I have installed SAP GUI  for Windows 7.2 (Compilation 2) and Crystal Report 2008 SP2 then following by installed SAP Integration Kits 3.1 SP3 on my workstation. However, when i launch my Crystal Report designer, it do shows SAP toolbar however when i click on one of the icon (eg: Setting) the entire CR will hung and prompt me error and exit automatically.
    Beside that, i could not find any connector for SAP (Eg: SAP InfoSet, SAP BW Query and etc) when i create a new blank report by click on the New Connection.
    Appreciated anyone know this could assist on this.
    Thank You.
    Regards,
    CK

    Hi Ingo,
    Thanks for your prompt reply. I will sort it out and ensure the release version will be the same as Inter Kits.
    By the way, i saw your post regarding the Integration Kits installation and configuration. However, i still need some clarification; appreciated you could assist me on this.
    I have installed SAP BOXI3.1 SP3 on an LINUX machine (Redhat Enterprise 5) and the server was running fine without connecting to BW or SAP eCIBS.
    Now, i have to establish the connectivity to BW (InfoCuve and BW Query) and SAP eCIBS system. As my customer requirement was required to using WEBI, CR and Xcelsius for connecting to BW for getting the data and then using scheduler in BOE for performing report distribution. Some of the report will connecting to SAP eCIBS directly and that will using our Client's machine for creating the report (using CR2008) and then publish to the BOE platform for report scheduling and distribution.
    My question, i wish to install SAP Inter Kits and downloaded Inter. Kits for SAP Solution 3.1 SP3 from service market place. When i refer to the document from help.sap.com; there are couple of section but i wish to know which are the perquisite section that i wish to install and configure?
    Eg: System Requirement which are installing SAP RFC SDK and SAP JCO SDK into my BOE server, then following my create a logon token. How to to that? It also require to install SAP Java Connector and SAP GUI, does these two available for LINUX OS as well?
    The steps in doc was confuse, appreciated your kind help.
    THanks.
    Regards,
    CK.

  • Can you check for data in one table or another but not both in one query?

    I have a situation where I need to link two tables together but the data may be in another (archive) table or different records are in both but I want the latest record from either table:
    ACCOUNT
    AccountID     Name
    123               John Doe
    124               Jane Donaldson
    125               Harold Douglas
    MARKETER_ACCOUNT
    Key     AccountID     Marketer    StartDate     EndDate
    1001     123               10526          8/3/2008     9/27/2009
    1017     123               10987          9/28/2009     12/31/4712    (high date ~ which means currently with this marketer)
    1023     124               10541          12/03/2010     12/31/4712
    ARCHIVE
    Key     AccountID     Marketer    StartDate     EndDate
    1015     124               10526          8/3/2008     12/02/2010
    1033     125               10987         01/01/2011     01/31/2012
    So my query needs to return the following:
    123     John Doe                        10526     8/3/2008     9/27/2009
    124     Jane Donaldson             10541     12/03/2010     12/31/4712     (this is the later of the two records for this account between archive and marketer_account tables)
    125     Harold Douglas               10987          01/01/2011     01/31/2012     (he is only in archive, so get this record)
    I'm unsure how to proceed in one query.  Note that I am reading in possibly multiple accounts at a time and returning a collection back to .net
    open CURSOR_ACCT
              select AccountID
              from
                     ACCOUNT A,
                     MARKETER_ACCOUNT M,
                     ARCHIVE R
               where A.AccountID = nvl((select max(M.EndDate) from Marketer_account M2
                                                    where M2.AccountID = A.AccountID),
                                                      (select max(R.EndDate) from Archive R2
                                                    where R2.AccountID = A.AccountID)
                   and upper(A.Name) like parameter || '%'
    <can you do a NVL like this?   probably not...   I want to be able to get the MAX record for that account off the MarketerACcount table OR the max record for that account off the Archive table, but not both>
    (parameter could be "DO", so I return all names starting with DO...)

    if I understand your description I would assume that for John Dow we would expect the second row from marketer_account  ("high date ~ which means currently with this marketer"). Here is a solution with analytic functions:
    drop table account;
    drop table marketer_account;
    drop table marketer_account_archive;
    create table account (
        id number
      , name varchar2(20)
    insert into account values (123, 'John Doe');
    insert into account values (124, 'Jane Donaldson');
    insert into account values (125, 'Harold Douglas');
    create table marketer_account (
        key number
      , AccountId number
      , MktKey number
      , FromDt date
      , ToDate date
    insert into marketer_account values (1001, 123, 10526, to_date('03.08.2008', 'dd.mm.yyyy'), to_date('27.09.2009', 'dd.mm.yyyy'));
    insert into marketer_account values (1017, 123, 10987, to_date('28.09.2009', 'dd.mm.yyyy'), to_date('31.12.4712', 'dd.mm.yyyy'));
    insert into marketer_account values (1023, 124, 10541, to_date('03.12.2010', 'dd.mm.yyyy'), to_date('31.12.4712', 'dd.mm.yyyy'));
    create table marketer_account_archive (
        key number
      , AccountId number
      , MktKey number
      , FromDt date
      , ToDate date
    insert into marketer_account_archive values (1015, 124, 10526, to_date('03.08.2008', 'dd.mm.yyyy'), to_date('02.12.2010', 'dd.mm.yyyy'));
    insert into marketer_account_archive values (1033, 125, 10987, to_date('01.01.2011', 'dd.mm.yyyy'), to_date('31.01.2012', 'dd.mm.yyyy'));
    select key, AccountId, MktKey, FromDt, ToDate
         , max(FromDt) over(partition by AccountId) max_FromDt
      from marketer_account
    union all
    select key, AccountId, MktKey, FromDt, ToDate
         , max(FromDt) over(partition by AccountId) max_FromDt
      from marketer_account_archive;
    with
    basedata as (
    select key, AccountId, MktKey, FromDt, ToDate
      from marketer_account
    union all
    select key, AccountId, MktKey, FromDt, ToDate
      from marketer_account_archive
    basedata_with_max_intervals as (
    select key, AccountId, MktKey, FromDt, ToDate
         , row_number() over(partition by AccountId order by FromDt desc) FromDt_Rank
      from basedata
    filtered_basedata as (
    select key, AccountId, MktKey, FromDt, ToDate from basedata_with_max_intervals where FromDt_Rank = 1
    select a.id
         , a.name
         , b.MktKey
         , b.FromDt
         , b.ToDate
      from account a
      join filtered_basedata b
        on (a.id = b.AccountId)
    ID NAME                     MKTKEY FROMDT     TODATE
    123 John Doe                  10987 28.09.2009 31.12.4712
    124 Jane Donaldson            10541 03.12.2010 31.12.4712
    125 Harold Douglas            10987 01.01.2011 31.01.2012
    If your tables are big it could be necessary to do the filtering (according to your condition) in an early step (the first CTE).

  • Convert data link between one query's group and another querys group to SQL

    Hi
    I have a report where there are 2 query Groups. These 2 query groups r linked by data link. How do i combine these queries to One query so i can use it as a SQL query.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Assume that we have two queries Q1 and Q2 and the common column between the two queries is "comn".
    Now we can convert the datalink into SQL as follows:-
    SELECT *
    FROM
    (Query for Q1)a,
    (Query for Q2)b
    WHERE a.comn=b.comn(+)
    Note: "a" and "b" are alias names for Q1 and Q2.
