I've a table with next description
AGGREGATEDUNIT_ID NOT NULL NUMBER(38)
DATASET_ID NUMBER(38)
GEOMETRY MDSYS.SDO_GEOMETRY
REDEFINEDMETADATA SYS.XMLTYPE
I dont need a spatial index in column GEOMETRY, but when I try an update operation:
INSERT INTO AGGREGATEDUNIT (AGGREGATEDUNIT_ID, DATASET_ID) VALUES (389, 893)
I get next error:

Hi,
Whether you need the index or not, someone has created a spatial index on the table.
You can drop the index, or you can add the metadata for the table into user_sdo_geom_metadata (it was there at the time the index was created).

Hi, Have you checked the .jca source to make sure this value is indeed checked? Sometimes even when you check this option in the wizard it doesn't reflect in the source when you also perform a select operation: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E12839_01/relnotes.1111/e10133/adapter.htm. Also are you using the xADataSource driver in the data source and the xADataSourceName ConnectionFactory property?

While configuring an outbound Oracle Database Adapter to perform a SELECT operation, if you select Get Active Unit of Work in the Adapter Configuration Wizard - Advanced Option page, then the value of the GetActiveUnitofWork property is not saved in the .jca file.
The workaround for this issue is to manually add this property in the .jca file of the Oracle Database Adapter, as shown in the following example:

How export tables with metadata_only but without initial??

I use this sentence:
expdp DADM/pass
SCHEMAS=DADM
     DIRECTORY=DPUMP_DIR
     DUMPFILE=dadm_sd30052011.dmp
     LOGFILE=dadm_sd30052011.log
     CONTENT=METADATA_ONLY
     INCLUDE=TABLE:"IN ('CBTCERR','CGDASID')
But, when i import dadm_sd30052011.dmp file, the tables are created with the original INITIAL and are empty. How do I get to be imported without the INITIAL?

You want to add:
transform=storage:n
but that may remove more than what you may want. It may also remove the tablespace information. Your best bet would be to run the impdp command with
transform=storage:n sqlfile=mysql.sql
this will create a file called mysql.sql that you can edit to see if it is doing what you want it to do. When you add sqlfile to your impdp command, nothing is imported, instead, the commands are written to the file instead.

All i have setup a application using the tabular form, and i went through the wizard and now when the table comes up with the entries that i can change i get this error
Error in mru internal routine: ORA-20001: no data found in tabular form
Error Unable to process update.
OK
Even when i use the delete i get
ORA-20001: Error in multi row delete operation: row= 5, ORA-01403: no data found,
Error multi row operation failed
OK
And i am unable to update any rows

It looks to me you wrongly selected the P-Key for the tabular form.
If you can provide some more information like the table columns, p-key etc we may help you out in debugging.

Call to_char, to_number or to_date with nls_pars but without a format model

Does somebody know if there is a way to call to_char, to_number or to_date functions defining nlsparam argument and without defining the format model arument, in order to use implicit conversions.

In my environment there is a table where I store old values (each field as varchar2) of updated and deleted table records with a sort of audit_triggers.
These triggers are the ones using to_char(<number>) to convert a number. It works fine because it does what I need. If i specify a format model ( the same for all the conversion ) I have some problems. Some of them are the following, there are more.
- with decimals for the format model on an integer I'll have a conversion like "1.00000000000" on the table storing old values and I had indications to avoid this behavior.
- if I don't specify enough 9s for the integer part the number will be converted to a string like "################".
Now I found that some users work with a different nls_numeric_characters session parameter and this introduced problems for reading those numbers because 1.500 can be one dot five or fifteen hundreds.
A format model that does the same as implicit conversion would work as well but I didn't find it yet.

I done this--by doing some configuration changes.
Normally while doing Exports we are tempted to use the same sales area and accordingly we may give the combination of excise grp+series grp+export type in IMG>>>Logistics General>>>India>>>Business transactions>>>Outgoing excise invoices>>>Maintain default excise groups and series groups.
Once after removing the export type to your sales area combination--system will show this error--and we cannot even post the Excise invoices.(J1IIN)
I tried in my IDES--that with export type(Ex.Export under Bond)--with this assignment--i am able to post my excise invoices.
Once after removing this assignment of export type--again i am getting this error.
Actually i am not even aware why it is happening--almost after two months of struggle--i find this.
(i feel it is in the same way that we cannot even open/See a sales order by deleting sales group which was created&used previously)
i am sharing this because somebody may get a little help with my thread.

Updating Table with Triggers causes Raptor to Hang.

This was displayed when updating a data value in a table which spawned a couple of Triggers, a before, after, and after statement trigger. What the Trigger does is when an Exchange Rate for a Date (one row), is changed the exchage_rate for every receipt is updated. The size of the table are in test and there are 100 receipts. The Echange Rate table has one record for every day between 01-JAN-2000 and 31-DEC-2050 (365.25*50) Rows. The open_cursors param in init file is 1000. Have done various scenarios and everything works fine from sqlplus. Hangs with message in Raptor, and have to kill process in windows..
When run in Sqlplus no problem with update.

I had the same problem but without triggers. I only changed some values in different records (always automatically commited) and after the third change I got this error message. At the same time I was connected with TOAD to the databse and there was no problem to change the data - so it doesn't look like a database problem.

GROUP BY on a table with geometry

This is an overview of my table

I would like to group this table by geometry and by year suming the value to obtain something like that:
Geometry_|_ID_GEO_|_Year_|_Value
Polygon1_|__1______|_1999_|__12
Polygon2_|__2______|_1999_|__16
I have written the following SQL statement which work perfectly:
SELECT SUM(Value),ID_GEO FROM MyTable WHERE Year=1999 GROUP BY ID_GEO
But when i add the Geometry field in the statement like:
SELECT Geometry,SUM(Value),ID_GEO FROM MyTable WHERE Year=1999 GROUP BY ID_GEO
It does not work anymore. I obtain an error: SQLState: 42000, ErrorCode: 979 which seems to be related to the Group by...
The point is that i need the Geometry in the result query to then generate a map.
I am using Oracle entreprise 10 with oracle Locator only.
Can anyone help me? I don't understand why it does not work.

I was faced with a similar issue more than a year ago. The solution for me was to create an user defined aggregate function: agg_first_geom. This will help aggragating your data by keeping/taking the first geometry. This of course is valid when you have a 1 to 1 relationship with one of the columns in your group by, which you confirmed earlier.
Try it and see whether this could be of help.
first create the type agg_geom_t and the function agg_first_geom. Once that is finished you should be able to have your SQL statement as follows:

When I am generating a excise invoice the system triggers u201CError updating table 372"
I have not maintained of table 372 in access seq (Cd type (JEXP) . Previous i have maintained this table in my access seq and its working fine but I am not able to save the document,
in that time i got error like
No account is specified in item 0000000001
Message no. F5670
Diagnosis
No account was specified for account type "S" in item "0000000001" of the FI/CO document.
System Response
The Financial Accounting program cannot process the document.
Procedure
A system error has probably occurred in the application you called up. Check the data transferred to item "0000000001" of the FI/CO document.

I suppose that the unique constraint
ORA-00001: unique constraint (TXV.SYS_C0032911) violatedis the one you 've created on the nested table IS_PODACI245_STORE_TABLE
If so, why not disable that constraint and try again.
I have never exchanged such a kind of partitioned table having a nested table in it. But, I could imagine that the cloned non partitioned table IS_PODACI245_STAGE should at least be the exact image of the partitioned table IS_PODACI245_ARH (of course without the partition part) but with the nested table part and including all indexes
In addition, if you have a parent/child relationship between your partitioned tables, then there is a chronological order of exchange starting by the child and then finishing by the parent

Updating Table with DropDownList Selection (ASP)

I'm converting one of my Access forms into ASP and I'm having trouble mimicking Access's combobox features in ASP.
In my original form, I have a combobox bound to a lookup table that writes the selection into a master table field.
The combobox works like this in Access:
Row Source: SELECT sourceCodes.name FROM sourceCodes;
Control source: source (a field in my master table)
In Dreamweaver, I was able to populate a DropDownList with the same query as a Dataset ('sourceDropDown'):

But I'm at a lack of how to write this data when a selection is made. The ASP page I'm making is set up to be an update form by default. How do I tie a combobox change into the update action or do I do something like an AfterUpdate for the DropDownList to write the selection back to the table immediately?
Goes without saying that I'm new to ASP. Any help or even pointers in the right direction would be really appreciated!

The problem I'm still seeing is that my DropDrown code doesn't seem to have anything in it to direct the selected DropDown item to a table's field. It does have a DataSource, which gives the DropDown its items, but I need to tell it where to put data when a selection is made, like "Control Source" in Access.

How can I see changes in table with insertrow();postchanges()without commit

I create two view object.In the first page I create table with one view object.
In the second page I create table (with tableselectmany) with other view.
I select many rows in second page and in the managed bean,
I insert selectted rows atributes to first pages tables attributes.

In this code I only postchanges() in first view and dont want to commit.
But I cant see changes row in the page .If I press save I see transaction completed succesfully message.

You should NEVER use statements like this in managed beans:
ApplicationModule empSvc = Configuration.createRootApplicationModule(AM, CF);
This will create a separate application module instance, not shared by the the web pages. That's why you do not see the changes.
Instead, you can use the following code:
ApplicationModule am = (ApplicationModule)JsfUtils.getExpressionValue("#{data.MyAppModuleDataControl.dataProvider}");
where MyAppModuleDataControl shoud be replaced with the name of your am data control.

Error Updating table condition table 372 in J1IIN

Hello all,
I am facing the problem while working in ECC 6.0 environment in the transaction code J1IIN.
I have maintained the condition type JEXP ( A/R BED %) as 14% with the Key combination Country/Plant/Control Code (Table 357). While iam saving the Excise invoice the system is throwing the error like error updating the table condition table 372
I have gone through the post given by Ms. Jyoti few days back and tried to do some changes in the customisation.
I tried to maintain a different access sequence for the condition type JEXP i.e a new Access sequence(ZJEX) and also a new condition tpe (ZJEP). We don't have other Excise condition type in our Pricing procedure.
In the access sequence except condition table 372, I have maintained all other condition tables.
Still the error is persisiting. Can anyone put some light on the issue.
I have even traced the values being hit in the tables directly. There is no relation of table 372, then why is it being cause of the error.
Also while debugging it gives a message "An exception (CX_BADI_INITIAL_REFERENCE) occured".
Does this help in anyways.

Please ensure that access sequence in the condition type JEXC has got the table 372. If it is not there please maintain it.
The standard access sequence used in all duty condition type
is JEXC which has got the table 372 this will get updated once
you save your excise invoice.
If the issue is resolved, kinldy close the message.
