3.1 EA3 - Column value filter dropdown returns duplicate values

Hello,
SQL Developer 3.1 EA3 introduces a regression: the column value filter in the table data editor dropdown (filter column) now shows duplicate values. Previous versions (at least 3.0) returned unique values to select from.
Since this is EA3 and not yet production, should I file a bug for this?
Best Regards and many thanks for this tool,
Olivier.

Yes it's a regression. Fixed it recently. In the next released build it should work properly.

  • This field contains duplicate values. Remove all duplicate values and try the operation again.

    Greetings Everyone,
    I am getting the follow up errors: "This field contains duplicate values. Remove all duplicate values and try the operation again."
    when I tried to make the field "Claim Number" from the list in site collection library. See the screen below:
    1- I selected on the "List" and I clicked on the list name
    "Claim Tracking Report"
    2- After I clicked on the list name then I went to the ribbon and selected list setting to choose Enforce Unique for the Field Column
    "Claim Number"
    3- Then I went down and selected
    "Yes" to Enforced the Unique for the Field Column "Claim Number".
    4- Then after I clicked "Yes" I got the error
    "Sorry, something went wrong. This field contains duplicate values. Remove all duplicate values and try the operation again."  But I don't have any duplicates values Items, because I had them removed before I tried
    to Enforce the field column values to Unique. Can someone help or provide me a suggestions on how I can solve this issue please. Thank you
    FYI: I am using a Nintex Workflow

    Hope this is a list, how many total items are there?
    Please try to open this list as access(link in IE) and run this query in access
    SELECT Claim.[Claim Number], Count(*) AS Expr1
    FROM Claim
    GROUP BY Claim.[Claim Number]
    HAVING (((Count(*))>1));
    Hope it will show something! if this does not show you dups then better to create a separate list and migrate items after configuring unique column.
    Please 'propose as answer' if it helped you, also 'vote helpful' if you like this reply.

  • Populating values in dropdown based on values selected in second dropdown.

  • How to raise an error message when duplicate value is entered in a tabular field column? Basically not allow duplicate value at the form level.

    Hi all,
    I have created a form with one data block MATURED_FD_DTL which looks like below:
    ACCT_FD_NO
    CUST_CODE
    FD_AMT
    FD_INT_BAL
    TDS
    CHQ_NO
    ADD_FD_AMT
    P_SAP_CODE
    P_TYPE
    CREATE TABLE MATURED_FD_DTL
      ACCT_FD_NO    VARCHAR2(17 BYTE)               NOT NULL,
      CUST_CODE     NUMBER(9),
      FD_AMT        NUMBER(15),
      FD_INT_BAL    NUMBER(15),
      TDS           NUMBER(15),
      CHQ_NO        NUMBER(10),
      ADD_FD_AMT    NUMBER(15),
      P_SAP_CODE    NUMBER(10),
      P_TYPE        VARCHAR2(1 BYTE)
    For MATURED_FD_DT.ACCT_FD_NO, Trigger: KEY_NEXT_ITEM, I have written the following code:
    DECLARE
    V1 NUMBER;
    V2 NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    V1:=:MATURED_FD_DTL.ACCT_FD_NO;
    MESSAGE('V1:'||V1);
    MESSAGE(' ');
    END;
         GO_ITEM('MATURED_FD_DTL.CUST_CODE');
    This is just a dummy code.
    When ever i enter the value in the field of ACCT_FD_NO, it pops up a message saying "V1:Value of ACCT_FD_NO",
    So i want to store that value .
    Compare them & if it is egual, it should pop up a message saying duplicate value is entered and must not allow to enter, at form_level.
    So how can I compare the ACCT_FD_NO value between FIRST_RECORD and NEXT_RECORD ??
    Help Me .
    Thank You.

    Thank You HamidHelal.
    Actually before posting the code, I went through the first link you have mentioned. I tried also, it is quite tedious procedure, however i dint get the proper result, may be i have done some mistake. Anyways , can you tell me how do i check in database table, if a value exists OR IF VALUE FOUND & then message and raise form trigger failure; something like below.
    IF :MATURED_FD_DTL.ACCT_FD_NO EXISTS
    THEN MESSAGE('YOU HAVE ENTERED AN EXISTING OR DUPLICATE VALUE');
              MESSAGE(' ');
    RAISE FORM_TRIGGER_FAILURE;
    END;
    OR
    IF :MATURED_FD_DTL.ACCT_FD_NO FOUND
    THEN MESSAGE('YOU HAVE ENTERED AN EXISTING OR DUPLICATE VALUE');
              MESSAGE(' ');
    RAISE FORM_TRIGGER_FAILURE;
    END;
    Is there any equivalent in the form in oracle forms 6i?? Please let me know how do i do this??

  • Displaying a column in report which returns null value

    Hi
    I have a simple report with two column. The query is as below.
    SELECT decode(caste,1,'SC/ST',2,'General','3','PWD') fcastepi, nvl(count(*),0) fcapi
    FROM applicationformdtl
    WHERE year = :p_year
    AND selected = 1
    AND PROGCD = 'PRM'
    GROUP BY caste
    This query returns values for SC/ST and General as there is no matching data for the PWD. But I want to display PWD with value 0 in the report. How to do this? Can anyone help me in this matter at the earliest?
    Regards
    Trusha

    hello,
    u r calculating the cast in ur detail table applicationformatdtl.
    and also u have the table of caste in which caste description is given
    so ur query like this
    select nvl(decode(a.caste,1,'sc/st',2,'general'),'pwd')cast,
    nvl(a.caste,40),decode(count(*),1,0,count(*),count(*)) total
    from applicationformdtl a,caste c where c.caste = a.caste(+) group by a.caste
    which gives the output
    caste     total
    sc/st 3
    general 5
    pwd 0

  • 2 columns working together to return one value

    I'm creating an expense reimbursement form. I have 2 columns that need to "work together." There are approx. 10 rows. The first column is a drop down list of account numbers (12 #s). The second column is a dollar amount (user entered). I need 12 "fields" (one for each acct. #) that will look at all the fields in column 1 and add up the dollar amounts in column 2 if the column 1 data matches.
    Example:
    Column 1 Column 2
    Acct. 12345 $10.00
    Acct. 67890 $5.00
    Acct. 12345 $20.00
    Acct. 12345 Total: $30.00
    Acct. 67890 Total: $5.00

    Did you take a look at the help for FM? pass the hardcoded value for DYNPPROG and DYNNR (and see if that works)
    DYNPPROG and DYNNR cannot be passed as SY-REPID and SY-DYNNR because they are only analyzed after the function module has been called. Instead, first copy the SY fields to local variables and then pass them to the function module.

  • Function that returns N values, without using a string

    Hi, how can i make a function that returns several valures (that hasn't a exact number of returned values, it could return 3 values, or 7) without using a string?
    When i need to return several values from a function, i put the values inside a varchar like thus 'XXX,YYY,ZZZ' and so on. Don't know if this has a poor performance.
    If you can supply simple examples for what im asking, i would be nice.
    (without using a string)

    Can i create the type objects inside a package? If i
    can, they will be local to the package, right?Yes, you're right.
    Pipeline returns a row or several?You can use pipelined function in the same way you use table:
    SELECT * FROM TABLE(pipelined_funct(agr1, agr2));
    It returns results as separate rows.

  • Select List to check duplicate values before putting into another item

    Hi All ,
    I have a select list which contains .. country regions like ( APAC , EMEA etc ) .
    When I select any region , all the countries belonging to the region fills in another item .
    Suppose I select APAC , all the countries like India , Japan etc all fills in another item .
    But the problem is , if I select twice APAC , it fills duplicate values . Its filling duplicate values .
    I want to put validation or check for country value ...
    Suppose I select ' APAC ' it fills all APAC countries in another item . Now Again If I select APAC then it first check the item whether the country is there or not . If already APAC countries are there in the Item then it will show an error message that " Value already Exist ' .
    I am not able to fix this problem . it is creating duplicate values in database table .
    Please some one help me on this ..
    Thanks

    Patrick ,
    Sorry , I am correcting my words ..
    I am using Multiselect List ( P11_REGION) having regions APAC , EMEA , LAD etc .
    When I select Region like APAC , it fills all the countries of APAC and puts into a List .
    If again I select APAC , it again fills all the APAC countries and puts into a list which causes duplicacy .
    I have one Application Process which returns Country according to Region selection and puts in the list .
    So , what i want is when user twice selects region APAC , it searches the list whether APAC countries are there or not . If countries are already exists then it show an error otherwise Puts the countries in the list .

    I want to input two values, AWG and mils and return the value in the Days column.
    In the instance of what I am showing ....   AWG=2 AND mils=320 so Soak=110 ....
    I want to search the columns (AWG) AND (mils) to return a value in the column (Days) for that row into cell H10 (Soak)  ...
    So far I have toyed with LOOKUP, INDEX and MATCH ....

    SCW,
    I'm sure there is a clever way to cascade functions to avoid adding an auxiliary column in your practice table, but to me it wouldn't be worth the aggravation. I would add a column that concatenates Columns A & B, AWG & mils. This column can be anywhere and would be Hidden. Let's say your new column is Column N.
    In Column N, fill the body rows with:
    =A&"-"&B
    As good Numbers programming form would indicate, let's name the Practice Table Practices and only put the practices in that table. In another table where you do the lookup, let's call it Program, we will have the calculation/lookup.
    Based on your example, I'd guess that AWG may be in Column D and mils in Column E of your Program table, and the Soak lookup in Column F. If I'm wrong, adjust the column id.
    In Column F, write:
    =OFFSET(Practices::I$1,MATCH(D&"-"&E, Practices::N,0)−1, 0)
    The hyphen in the concatenated representation of the combination of AWG and mils is just tp make it more readable.
    As I'm sure you know, you could use other approaches, but since I had you put your aux column at the end of your Practices table, OFFSET with MATCH is a clean approach. INDEX could be used too.
    Here's an illustration:

  • How do I return a value from a column based on info from neighboring columns?

    I have a table of data that looks similar to this:
    Weight
    Name
    School
    Division
    106
    Name1
    School1
    1
    106
    Name2
    School2
    2
    106
    Name3
    School3
    3
    106
    Name4
    School4
    4
    113
    Name5
    School5
    1
    113
    Name6
    School6
    2
    113
    Name7
    School1
    3
    113
    Name8
    School3
    4
    It's a very large table, so there will be multiple matches for Schools, and occasionally a few matches for Names, but there will always be only one match for a given Weight and Division.
    In a separate table, how can I get the name of the person associated with the unique weight and division?
    In my head, the formula goes" "Look in the Weight column to find 106, then look in the Division column to find 4, then return the value from the Name column." But I can't figure out the formula that will do that.
    Any thoughts?

    Hi momogabi,
    This can be easily done with an index column.
    The formula I used in your original table for the index column is:
    =A2&"-"&D2. This was filled down. The column can be hidden.
    You can see the formula in the search table. If I wanted to eliminate the index column in that table the formula would look something like:
    =INDEX('Table 1-1'::B,MATCH(A2&"-"&B2,'Table 1-1'::E,0),1)
    Hope this helps.

  • Column with dropdown with different values in each cell

    Hello,
    I have a Table and one of the columns contains a dropdown list (dropdownbykey). My problem is that the list of values for each drop down element is different because it depends on the value in the rest of the row cells. Obviously I need to calculate the values dynamically at runtime.
    I have created a context node and linked it to the table columns, one of the attributes in the node is linked to the 'selectedKey' property of the dropdown. Then in my code I try to give the list of values to this attribute using the method set_attribute_value_set from the if_wd_context_node_info interface. The process it's explained in the DEMO_UIEL_STD_SELECTION component.
    But I only get the same values for each row.
    I would like to know if it's possible to have dropdowns with different values in the same column of a Table, and if so any indication of how to do that.
    Best regards,

    Hello Javier,
    unfortunately you cannot use dropdown by key if you want to have different dropdowns per line of your table.
    Instead you will need to use dropdown by index, and bind your dropdown to a subnode of the table element (ensure that this is a non-singleton node).
    To make life easier for yourself, I would also have an attribute in your main structure that holds the selected value of the dropdown by index - update this value on any "onSelect" action of the dropdown by index.
    e.g. for a table that holds addresses:
    Context Node Address:
    attribute street
    attribute city
    attribute country
    attribute region
    subnode regionlist
    ...attribute regionkey
    ...attribute region_text
    table - bound to node address
    input field bound to street
    input field bound to city
    dropdown by key bound to country (onSelect event populates subnode regionlist)
    dropdown by index bound to subnode regionlist, text bound to region text, (onSelect event populates address element attribute region with key field of selected element).
    I hope this helps,
    Chris

  • How to set value for Dropdown control using Querystring filter wepart

    Hi,
    I have a dropdown in my customized list form and need to set the value for the dropdown control using query string filter web part.
    I am able to set value for textbox control using Query String Filer web part.
    But, since the dropdown values are not populated on form load, the value is not set for dropdown control.
    How to load the values in dropdown control on form load and set a value using Query String filter webpart?
    Thanks,
    dhijit

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to filter choice field using Query String Filter web part.
    To filter using query string filter web part, we can set the default value for the choice field in the query string filter web part panel as below, then connect to the list.
    Now it would be filter by the value you have set.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Jason

  • Zero phase filter returns unexpected values

    Hi,
    I want to filter the signal using the zero phase filter.
    This is my code using the filter:
    The filter returns some values like this:
    In this diagram, the green curve is the signal, which has been filtered using the zero phase filter.
    Is there a better example or special advices for these unexpected values? What I want is the signal without phase-dirft.

    Hi,
    it was a good idea to post that snippet - but it would be best if we had your data too.
    Could save your inputs as default data and post the vi (don't know if snippets retain default values)?
    Regards
    Florian
