32-bit JMX/RMI Remote Connection to 64-bit
I am trying to connect to the standard JDK5 JMX server running on RedHat 64-bit Linux from a 32-bit Windows box and continually get Connection refused. Both are running JDK 1.5.0_05, 64-bit version on Linux, 32-bit version on Windows.
Is there a problem connecting between 64-bit and 32-bit OSes? I don't understand "connection refused" if that is the problem.
There is no NAT and no firewall. I am able to connect to other Java services on that box, just not the JMX server. I can browse the RMI Registry on that machine (using the RMI Explorer plug-in from IDEA) but when I try to execute any of the methods I get Connection refused: connect at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.socketConnect. I know I'm connecting to the standard JMX registry because I can see the jmxrmi registry object with methods getVersion() and newClient(). I get the exception when I try to execute, say, the getVersion() method.
JConsole is also not able to connect remotely.
I am, however, able to connect from code running locally on the Linux box. But I am not able to connect from code running on the Windows client through an SSH tunnel.
It appears that 64-bit and 32-bit JVMs cannot communicate over RMI, but is there another explanation?
Robert
I have the same problem using jmx through a ssh-tunnel.
Neither programmatically by JMXConnector nor with jconsole it is possible to connect. It seems that the initial request works but then some kind of redirect forces a connect to the endpoint which is not possible at the other side of the tunnel. Instead it should use the local tunnel-port.
So I get "connection refused" for an ip-address that is surely not available from my desktop.
I found several similar problem-descriptions in different newsgroups but no answers how to solve it.

JMX cannot get connected, Maybe due wrong stub???
Hi all,
I know that JMX connections issues are kind of common, however my problem is a bit more complex.
My JMX client gets binded to the remote JMX server, I can see this trace taken with tcpdump:
10.0.0.1 10.0.0.2 RMI JRMI, Version: 2, StreamProtocol
When the client invokes a object, it looks like this:
10.0.0.1 10.0.0.2 RMI JRMI, Call
The remote server responses:
10.0.0.1 10.0.0.2 RMI JRMI, ReturnData

UnicastRef127.0.0.1nW _SI*'x
So, we can see that the communication is established, but the JMX client throws this exception:
java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused
java.rmi.ConnectException: Connection refused to host: 127.0.0.1; nested exception is:
java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused
at sun.rmi.transport.tcp.TCPEndpoint.newSocket(Unknown Source)
So, it seems the server answers, but IMO seems like the stub it returns is wrong, it has 127.0.0.1, Why is not responding the remote server address?
or
Maybe the server responses with the right stub, an stub that the client should allocate locally, but then the client cannot invoke the local stub in 127.0.0.1.
The client runs with this vm options (a Tomcat hosted webapp):
-server
-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=false
-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false
-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=13197
These are the server's vmoptions (another Tomcat hosted webapp):
-server
-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=false
-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false
-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=13199
Any ideas?

Remote Connection Issue in Oracle JRockit
Hi,
I Tried configuring Jrockit and integrating weblogic server with it.
I was successfull in monitoring the locally deployed app through integrated weblogic in JRMC 4.0.
Please suggest if the following steps mentioned are proper or not.
1) Installed JRMC 4.0 .
2. Configured in default domain/bin folder of Weblogic server setDomainEnv.cmd as follows:-(Configuring oracle Jrockit in Weblogic since i have to use Jrockit JVM instead of Sun JDK Hot Spot)
set BEA_JAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files\Java\jrmc-4.0.0-1.6.0
set SUN_JAVA_HOME=D:\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_18
if "%JAVA_VENDOR%"=="Oracle" (
set JAVA_HOME=%BEA_JAVA_HOME%
) else (
if "%JAVA_VENDOR%"=="Sun" (
set JAVA_HOME=%SUN_JAVA_HOME%
) else (
set JAVA_VENDOR=Oracle
set JAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files\Java\jrmc-4.0.0-1.6.0
3.Inturn i modified Java_Options in my local weblogic server startWebLogic.cmd and Remote weblogic server startWebLogic.cmd as follows:-
Local weblogic server startWebLogic.cmd :-
set SAVE_JAVA_OPTIONS="-Djava.rmi.server.hostname=ZSLW521 -Xmanagement:ssl=false,authenticate=false,port=7091,autodiscovery=true"
export JAVA_OPTIONS
Remote weblogic server startWebLogic.cmd :-
set SAVE_JAVA_OPTIONS="-Djava.rmi.server.hostname=ZSLW577 -Xmanagement:ssl=false,authenticate=false,port=7091,autodiscovery=true"
export JAVA_OPTIONS
4. My Oracle Jrockit Start parameters are as follows:-
C:\Program Files\Java\jrmc-4.0.0-1.6.0\bin>java -Xmanagement:port=7091,ssl=false,authenticate=false,autodiscovery=true
and even i am getting the status as follows in command prompt:
[INFO ][mgmnt ] Remote JMX connector started at address zslw577:7091
[INFO ][mgmnt ] Local JMX connector started
[INFO ][mgmnt ] JDP autodiscovery started at address 232.192.1.212:7095
Iin jrmc4.0 UI i am getting JDP (JRockit Discovered protocal)as follows:-
1. Discovered --> JDP --> zslw577:zsl.local and
zslw51
2.But the Problem is that in the tabbed menu
Discovered-->LOACL-->Getting Local JRockit Weblogic server Instance and Not Remote Server Weblogic Server Instance
is when i am trying to establish a connection :-
HOST:zslw521
PORT:7091
1.And testing the connection giving me : Unable to Connect
Even If I want To test The JDP of Remote and Local JVM Instances by right clicking and selecting the option of START CONSOLE
Could not open Management Console for zslw577.zsl.local.

RKI had the same problem, but adding:
-Djava.rmi.server.hostname=my_hostname
to the remote WebLogic Server start script that I want to monitor solves the problem.
In my case, my WLS runs on OEL 5, and I monitor it via JRMC (R28.0.0-679) on Windows XP):
# Start JRockit MngSrv to enable JRMC monitoring:
JR_XMNG="-Xmanagement:ssl=false,authenticate=false,port=7091,autodiscovery=true"
export JR_XMNG
JAVA_OPTIONS="-Djava.rmi.server.hostname=your_hostname ${JAVA_OPTIONS}"
export JAVA_OPTIONS
JAVA_OPTIONS="${JAVA_OPTIONS} ${JR_XMNG}"

Jconsole - remote connection thru ssh-tunnel
Hi all,
I need to start jconsole on my windows-box and connect to a remote tomcat-server thru an ssh-tunnel.
I have walked thru various posts and blogs, but finally couldn't get it running.
On the linux-server, I have set the following JAVA_OPTS:
export JAVA_OPTS='-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=8888 -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false -Djava.rmi.server.useLocalHostname=true -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=false -Djava.rmi.server.hostname=myserver'myserver is the server-name that is resolved by the hostname-command. I also tried using localhost instead.
On the client I run the following ssh-command to create the tunnel:
ssh tomcat@myserver -L8888:myserver:8888 -N -vWhen I try to create a remote connection with jconsole using localhost:8888, I see the following output by ssh:
debug1: Connection to port 8888 forwarding to myserver port 8888 requested.
debug1: channel 1: new [direct-tcpip]
debug1: channel 1: free: direct-tcpip: listening port 8888 for myserver port 8888, connect from 127.0.0.1 port 1618, nchannels 2It looks not too bad to me, but unfortunately, jconsole runs into a timeout after about 2 mins.
On the server I see the following using netstat:
tcp 0 168 myserver:ssh mywindowsbox:3381 VERBUNDEN
tcp 0 0 myserver:ssh mywindowsbox:1317 VERBUNDEN
tcp 0 0 myserver:44625 myserver:8888 TIME_WAIT
tcp 0 0 *:8888 *:* LISTENIt appears to me that the tomcat-server is listening correctly on port 8888 for all incoming hosts (although localhost should be enough).
Furthermore, it seems that the ssh-tunnel has been establised.
Why the hell, jconsole still can't connect?Hiya.
JMX connections use two ports. You need the RMI Registry and the RMI Stub. This first one you bound to port 8888, but the other one is probably still bound to a random port. You need to be able to access that one through SSH as well.
Trouble is that the second port uses a random port and most application servers can't statically configure this one. See this article for possible solutions (be sure to read the follow ups as well) : http://blogs.sun.com/jmxetc/entry/connecting_through_firewall_using_jmx

I have tried from so many forms. This is so frustrating. Thank for everyone/anyone who wants to help. So this is what happened: I had to uninstall my previous sqlserver 2012(which worked great) for some reason, and I uninstalled everything from that download.
Then I installed the trial edition of sql server 2012 (64 Bit) and It wouldn't connect to the database. (Error mentioned above.) My local DB is COWBOYS. (COWBOYS is also my computer name.) After this, I have tried downloading sqlexpress and sqlserver 64bit
many times and cannot connect to my local DB.
How do I connect to my Local DB?
Also, I think this might help: (When I run sqlserve.exe, which I was able to find in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\LocalDB\Binn, I get an error: Your SQL server installation is either corrupt or has been tampered with(Error getting
instance ID from name). Please uninstall then re-run setup to correct this problem.
I would happily re install it, if it wasn't my 20th time.
I don't have any remote connections, I don't use username/password, only window authentication. I work mostly on visual studio, but without able to store /retrieve data, I don't know how to survive.
May be the solution is very simple, but I am too frustrated.
Some of the things I have tried:
From a command prompt, enter one of the following commands:
net start "SQL Server Agent (MSSQLSERVER)" OR
net start "SQL Server Agent(instancename)"(for instance)
on my sql configuration, I cannot start anything because there is nothing there to start. I can post more details, if that would help. Also, some more details about the error:

Any one that can help me, I will be greatful. Thank you so much. p.s. please ask me anything if you have any questions.It sounds like there are a couple things going on here. First check if you have a successful install of SQL Server, then we'll figure out the connection issues.
Can you launch SQL Server Configuration Manager and check for SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) if default instance or SQL Server (other name) if you've configured your instance as a named instance. Once you find this, make sure the service is started.
If not started, try to start it and see if it throws an error. If you get an error, post the error message your hitting. If the service starts, you can then launch SSMS and try to connect. If you have a default instance, you can use the machine
name in the connection dialog. Ex: "COWBOYS" where Cowboys is the machine name. However, if you named the SQL Server instance during install, you'll need to connect using the machine\instance format. Ex: COWBOYS\Romo (where Romo
is the instance name you set during install).
You can also look at the summary.txt file in the SQL Server setup error logs to see what happened on the most recent install. Past install history is archived in the log folder if you need to dig those up to help troubleshoot, but the most
recent one may help get to the bottom of it if there is an issue with setup detecting a prior instance that needs to be repaired.

Network-related or Instance-specfic error when attempting remote connection from SSMS
Hello,
I have installed SQL Server express on a Win7 desktop and want to connect to it via SSMS on a laptop. I have set up a SQL login on the desktop so I can login, but when I try to connect to the instance from the laptop via SSMS I get the error 26 with saying
there is a network related or instance specific issue and that there is an error locating the Server/Instance specified.
I am trying to connect to a named instance on the SQL Server on the win desktop. Remote connections are enabled and TCP 1433 and UPD 1434 ports are open in Windows Firewall. Antything else I should watch for?
ThanksHi MrDAndersen,
According to your description, you come across the errors of pre-login handshake and wait operation timing out. Please help to post the full error log for further analysis.
Based on my research, this issue could occur when .NET Framework 4.5 and non-IFS BSP/LSP are installed on the machine, and non-IFS BSP/LSP interferes with the call to Winsock.
To work around the issue, you could use one of the two methods below.
1. Determine whether a non-IFS BSP or LSP is installed. You could use the "netsh WinSock Show Catalog" command and examine every Winsock Catalog Provider Entry item that is returned. If the 0x20000 bit is clear (not set), it is a non-IFS BSP or
LSP and remove the installed non-IFS Winsock LSPs. For more information about the process, please refer to the article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2568167
2. Download and apply .NET Framework 4.5.2:

ERROR 14614 on Front End when testing with Remote Connectivity Analyzer
Hello forum
Does the Lync Remote Connectivity Analyzer not support 128 encryption?
Reason im asking is the following:
When I test my Lync edge server. I get the following error on the RCA result page: RegisterException.
After this error on the RCA, the event 14614 is logged on my Standard Edition Front end server.
INFO:
User authentication with NTLM protocol failed with error SEC_E_UNSUPPORTED_FUNCTION. This indicates a potential mismatch between security policy settings on the client and server computers.
Cause: This error can occur if the settings in "Network security: Minimum session security for NTLM SSP based (including secure RPC) clients" policy on the client computer are not the same as the settings in the "Network security: Minimum
session security for NTLM SSP based (including secure RPC) servers" policy on this server. By default, the "Require 128-bit encryption" setting is disabled for computers running Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003,
Windows 2000 Server, or Windows XP. For computers running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2, this setting enabled by default.
Resolution:
Ensure that the "Network security: Minimum session security for NTLM SSP based (including secure RPC) clients" policy settings on the computers from which users log on are the same as "Network security: Minimum session security for NTLM SSP based
(including secure RPC) servers" policy settings on this server.
All of our Lync servers are running on Windows 2012 R2. So why this error from the RCA?Please check your settings on the client and on the server.
I know, this is a old blog info, but it discribed the problem.

Thanks for the answer, but in this case the "Client" is the Remote Connectivity Analyzer. So my question was, why is it not working with that? Does the RCA not support 128 bit? -
Solution manager Remote Connection issues
Hi
I'm currently in the process of setting up Solution Manager 7.1 on windows Server 2008r2 using central system.
I did the prerequisite check & the Solman installation and i'm actuallly working on the post-installation steps.
I'm experiencing difficulty with the step : "Configure Remote Connection to SAP".
I followed the informations provided on : http://service.sap.com/remoteconnection
In the technical prerequesite you have to set up a connection to sap support.
So i have to choose a connection type : I selected Internet connection so my first question is : do we need "VPN with SNC" or "VPN OR SNC" ?
I personnaly understood VPN or SNC.
So from here i decided to use SNC.
The first step was to set up & configure the SAProuter. I decided to do it on an another computer on the same domain ( not on the same computer where Solution Manager is installed ) but i'm not sure it is necesary
I assume I can install Saprouter on the same location as the Solution manager? do you recommend it ?
The Basic Functions testing with niping is working.
The next step is : "establish Internet Connections"
So now i can choose between SNC or VPN : my goal is to establish the connection as fast as possible.
I actually don't have a switch available ( i can get one if necesary but time is running ... ) so i'm opting for the SNC solution.
I tryed to get the certificate for the saprouter but i don't have a register SAProuter, but when i opened a customer messager for component XX-SER-NET, SAP answered about the impossibility to access SAP service Backbone with an SNC , saying that i will need to register a VPN site to site connection to SAP => i don't get it .... Can someone explain it to me ?
So please can one of you guru's tell me how to set this remote connection :
-which materials ( server / switch / firewalls ) ?
-where to get the right documentation ?
-What about DMZ ?
-I have a single IP Address is that enough ? ( setting up nat for port 3299 )
- do i have to contact a service provider ?
My idea was initially to set up the SAProuter on the same computer as the SOLMAN setup & use SNC communication to communicate with SAP but it doesn't seems that easy. Do i need separate installation for Saprouter <=> Solution Manager. ?
What's the minimal infrastructure to establish this connection ?
In addition to that, after configuring the SAProuter, i had trouble with the SAPMMC : on my system , on the instance 0 , the process disp+work.EXE won't run ( yellow light )and i can't find where i made a mistake if you have suggestions ...
Really need your help, i'm on a short deadline ... Any help, even incomplete, would be appreciated.
Thanks a lot.Thx for the answer.
I actually managed to register my saprouter with SAP and was granted with CN/OU & connection informations.
I followed this guide : http://service.sap.com/saprouter-sncdoc with the addition of this guide : http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/Basis/SAProuterviaSNC.
My first issue : I'm running with a Windows server 2008 r2 enterprise edition 64 bits with a processor Intel Xeon 2.4ghz ( dualcore). so i decided to use the crypto folder "nt-x86_64"
For the environment variable i set as System variables SECUDIR = C:\usr\sap\saprouter and SNC_LIB = C:\usr\sap\saprouter\nt-x86_64\sapcrypto.dll
The generation/install of the certificate is alright ( sapgenpse get_my_name -v -n Issuer is OK )
using the command :saprouter -r -K "p:CN=mycn, OU=myOUnbr, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" i have
I get the following message : trc file dev_rout
no ligging active
Its strange cause it looks like its running but when i check the services running on windows saprouter isn't started .... How to know if SAProuter is running right ?
If i folow the SAP procedure : Step 3 : test of the ip connection by the customer : SAP Remote Services : technical preparation ( see SAP Note 812386 ) : it's ask in the note to implement note 766505 via SNOTE : i get the following error msg : Error in remote connection to destination SAPOSS : Error when opening an RFC connection ( LB: Hostname or service of the message server unknown#DEST = SA
What's wrong ?
If i use T oss1 in parameter => technical setting => i set my saprouter info in SAProuter 1 ( at customer site ) with instance no. 99 and if SAProuter and SAPNet Message Server at SAP i put the following : Name : sapserv2 / IP Address 194.39.131.34 intance no. 99 and message server name oss001/ DB Name 001/ Instance no.01.
When trying to "Logon to SAPNet" i have an error Unable to connect to SAPNet message server ( default connection will be used ... )
and followed by the error screen : "partner '80.15.173.168:sapdp99' not reached WSAECONNREFUSED : Connection refused. do you want to see the detailed error description ? "
Details : module nixxi.cpp / line 3286 / Method : NipConnect2:80.15.173.168:3299 / Return code : -10 / System call : connect / Error No : 10061 / Error Text WSAECONNREFUSED: Connection refused / Counter : 10
Any idea ?
when doing niping.exe -c -H /H/mylocalSR/H/194.39.131.34/H/194/39.131.34 i obtain :
Wed Dec 07 21:20:09 2011
connect to server o.k
Wed Dec 07 21:20:09 2011
send and receive 10 messages (len 1000)
times -
avg 122.148 ms
max 193.731 ms
min 81.564 ms
tr 15.990 kB/s
excluding max and min :
av2 118.273 ms
tr2 16.514 kB/s
Is it the expected output ?
I've maintained system data in service.sap.com/system-data ( selecting the sap router ) then i tryed to use the SAP service connection, downloaded the .exe but i can't find the stfk.oez. I realized that in my maintain connection screen i have no space for entering any routestring. Seems wrong ?
Do i have to use the SAO?
i've made nat redirection from my router as this : from my public ip to my lan ip ( 192.168.x.x) what should i enter in the routestring : /H/public or lan or hostname ?/S/3299 ?
Hoping you can help me ! ( the goal of all this is to set up RFC connection for postinst step of Solution manager ).

Need helps for remote connection issue
Dear guys,
Today, I got a problem regarding remote connections. My Oracle stopped responding to remote connections. (tried to connect by sqlplus with service name, and sqlplus hung) Tnsping works. Local connection works (tried to connect by sqlplus without service name).
Have to stutdown by sqlplus and oracle did not respond. Shutdown the server (windows server 2003 standard edition), system stop responding (guess it was caused by oracle service). Had to shutdown by pushing the power button. After it restarts, everything come back to normal. No error is logged in alert log.
Any ideas regarding this issue? Many thanks.
G.B.
Still studying this issue. Found an SQLNET.log in the %ORACLE_HOM%/NETWORK/LOG fould. It reads:
Fatal NI connect error 12638, connecting to:
(DESCRIPTION=(LOCAL=YES)(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=beq)))
VERSION INFORMATION:
TNS for 32-bit Windows: Version 10.1.0.2.0 - Production
Oracle Bequeath NT Protocol Adapter for 32-bit Windows: Version 10.1.0.2.0 - Production
Time: 06-APR-2006 10:43:52
Tracing not turned on.
Tns error struct:
ns main err code: 12638
TNS-12638: Credential retrieval failed
ns secondary err code: 0
nt main err code: 0
nt secondary err code: 0
nt OS err code: 0
Seems it's related to authentication service issue. So, I just commented out SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NTS) from sqlnet.ora even my database functions well after restart. But I'm not sure if this is the solution and still wondering what's the root cause of this error.

G.B.Q.Hi there!
Modify the following entry in sqlnet.ora
SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NTS)
to
SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (beq,none)
and you will be fine,

Java.rmi.ConnectException: Connection refuse
Hi all,
I have built a simple RMI client server application.I can run client & server fine locally.
However if I test this appplication over the internet, I get this exception on the client:
java.rmi.ConnectException: Connection refused to host: 169.254.157.53; nested exception is:
java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connectConnection refused to host:169.254.157.53
The RMI server is running on my PC and the client on a friend's remote PC.Both PCs are connected to Internet.
I don't have any firewall running on my PC (including windows XP firewall). The server RMI lookup on the client happens correctly,
the exception is raised when the client tries to call the remote method on the server.
Here is an extract of my RMI server code (it works locally):
public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception {
try {
// args[0] contains the database server name given as command line argument, arg[1] contains binary path that contains weather jpeg files
CPrimaryWeatherServer test = new CPrimaryWeatherServer(args[0], args[1]);
Naming.rebind("rmi://localhost:1099/WeatherPrimaryService", test);
System.out.println("Serveur mto principal dmarr");
} catch (Exception e){ System.out.println(e.getMessage());}
Here is an extract of my RMI client code (it works locally):
try{
rec=1;
leftClik=1;
System.out.println("Before RMI lookup");
IPrimaryWeatherServerService serveur =(IPrimaryWeatherServerService)Naming.lookup("rmi://"+primWS+":1099/WeatherPrimaryService");
System.out.println("After RMI lookup");
System.out.println("Before server method call");
z=serveur.getFullWeatherData(); --> exception is raised here
System.out.println("After RMI server method call");
I am directly connected to Internet using an ethernet card connected to an ADSL modem.169.254.157.53 is the automatic IP of my network card different from the IP given by my ISP. By the way, the client tries to contact me using my DNS name that resolves correctly to my ISP IP adress.
Thanks a lot for help,because I am guessing that a local IP address is being embedded into the stub so the clien't can't find the remote server. I am guessing because you didn't provide the exception or its text. Anyway the suggestion will cause the correct public IP address/hostname to be embedded into the stub.

Hp remote connection, hundreds of hidden icons!
I have a strange problem lately. When I open my 'hidden icons' link in my task bar, I am seeing hundreds of HP Remote Connection icons. I have never seen this before. Here is a screenshot of what it looks like, when I click the link "View Hidden Links". I have all the normal icons showing at the bottom, but there are hundreds of purple icons, and I don't know why. I tried to click on them and nothing happens. Here is a screen shot of what I see :

Can someone help me out?
Thanks!
KristiHello @grafiti4u,
I understand tha you are having issues with the HP Connected Remote App showing numerous icons on your HP computer. I am providing you with the only HP Support document: HP PCs - Using the HP Connected Remote App (Windows 8) that I can find pertaining to your issue. I recommend that you review the document for any help it may offer (possibly adjust settings for how you are using the applications, being sure to make sure the software is updated as well. If you are not using the software then I would suggest you use the section that shows how to disable it.
If the above document does not help you and this is a new issue then I would suggest that you use the HP Support document: Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8) to simply roll your system back to a point in time where this issue did not occur.
I hope this helps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!
Please click the "Thumbs Up" on the bottom right of this post to say thank you if you appreciate the support I provide!
Also be sure to mark my post as “Accept as Solution" if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others who face the same challenge find the same solution.

Java.rmi.remote error
Hello,
I recently wrote a simply Infobus applet which includes a
LoginDialog.
1.when i run it in Jdeveloper(not be packed into .jar
or .zip), i can login but get a error:"java.lang.OutofMemory",
however,the frame will appear slowly when i reload the applet.
(128M RAM in my PC).
2.when i deployed it into myjar2.jar ,then run it in
Jdeveloper, I can't login and get a error:"Named Connection cn1
not be opened", (myjar2.jar includes the
files: "connections.properties", "cn1.xml","Applet2.class ",etc .
3.when i run it from client browser(IE5 & Netscape 4.7) after
deployed,i can see the LoginDialog ,but can't login and get
error:"java.rmi.remote".
Please help me to resolve!
Thanks!
nullHi,
When you run from within JDeveloper, make sure you are running
the HTML file rather than the applet.java file. I have had
better luck when using the HTML file to run, especially with the
login dialog.
When you run from a browser externally, make sure you are using
the JDK 1.2 plugin. I think the release notes contain
information on where to get it and how to use it.

Error class rmi.Remote not found
I m using a RMI chat in an apllication in tomcat, the chat applet doesn t appear : Error classNotFound rmi.Remote. I don t understand why ?? It should show something before trying to connect.
If it works in appletviewer but not in the browser, it's usually because the browser is not using the same JVM as appletviewer is, OR that the applet is trying to do things not normally allowed by the security model for applets. In this case, it's probably that your browser is using the old Microsoft JVM - get the Java Plug-in and configure it to be used by your browser.

Exposing MBeans to JRocket mission control(Remotely connected)
HI,
We could see the MBeans of following types in JRockit Mission Control which is connected to external wls.
JMImplementation
bea.jrockit.management
com.sun.management
java.lang
java.util.logging
oracle.javatools.cache
jrockit.synthetic.
But we would like to get the alert when the wls server Health status is in Warning status.
This information is available in com.bea.* MBeans which we could not see in remotely connected JRockit Mission Control.
HOw can we expose com.bea.* MBeans to the externally connected JRockit Mission Control?
Thanks,
Surender.You need to connect to the relevant WLS MBeanServer tree -- not just the platform JDK MBeanServer as you are doing.
I'd suggest a quick scan through this to get a picture of how JMX is exposed with WLS:
