3230 Mobile Access Router not Passing Traffic across WMICs
I'm unable to pass traffic across the WMICs. I've assigned the BVIs ip addresses in the same subnet and I'm seeing the devices associated. I attached the configurations.
Thanks,
A ruggedized router in a flexible and compact design, ideally suited to create mobile networks in and around vehicles.
Here is the URL for the furthere information for grounding in the vehicales and description :

0x00000000 0x00000001Hi Keegan,
Your tunnel is up and encrypting traffic one way, the other end is not able to encrypt the traffic.
I would suggest to do a 'clear xlate'? Sometimes if you setup the nonat configuration after you've attempted other configurations, you need to 'clear xlate' before the previous NAT configuration is cleared and the new one works.

Cisco 881 ISR IPSec VPN Tunnel does not pass traffic from the vlan.
I have a cisco 881 ISR Router with a site-to-site IPsec vpn tunnel to a mikrotik device on the other end (I inherited this from my client). The tunnel is constructed properly and is up, however traffic does not pass or get routed to the FA4 interface. I see in my packet captures that it hits the vlan1 interface (vlans are required on the L2 ports) and does not pass to the tunnel.
This is my configuration:

Also you have this transform set on the PIX:

This does not match the transfor set on the router:
crypto ipsec transform-set tritest esp-3des esp-md5-hmac

L2L tunnel up, not passing traffic...all of a sudden
I've had a tunnel in place on a 5505 to a remote network i don't control...so my troubleshooting there is limited. But the tunnel has been in place for over a year without issue. Suddenly it doesn't appear to be passing traffic. But it is in at least one direction.
Remote network:192.168.191.0/24
Local ASA side: 10.220.78.0/24
I had a constant ping started from 192.168.191.10 > 10.220.78.23
Which is a Windows server pinging a Windows workstation.
When i debug icmp on the ASA i get:
ICMP echo request from outside:192.168.191.10 to inside:10.220.78.23 ID=1 seq=2866 len=32
ICMP echo reply from inside:10.220.78.23 to outside:192.168.191.10 ID=1 seq=2866 len=32
Which confirms to me that the remote network is in fact traversing the tunnel and hitting the 10.220.78.23 device, which is in fact responding, and the reply is being sent out the ASA.
The tunnel negotiates and comes up any time I reset it, by all accounts it looks correct.
The problem is not limited to ICMP as I'm unable to net use or map drives, nor can 192.168.191.10 print to the printer at 10.220.78.20.
But once i saw the icmp trace output I pretty much figured it has to be on the remote end...so....
My question, can I absolutely infer from this that the issue resides on the remote end? Some additional info. Aside from the ping they have running from the remote network, which is shown in the above icmp trace, if i run packet tracer from the local network to the remote, tunnel's up/traffic is allowed. Not a big surprise since the tunnel does negotiate and stay up.
I captured packets from the ASA and I can see the local 10.220.78.23 device sending the reply to 192.168.191.10. Matching up with the icmp trace.
I had them run a packet capture on their firewall and confirmed, the ICMP requests from 192.168.191.10 are being encapsulated and sent on the tunnel. Again confirmed in my mind since i see the requests on the ASA. But they don't ever see the response.
There's no tcp adjust mss command on the ASA but there's this in the config:
ASA# sh run all sys
no sysopt connection timewait
sysopt connection tcpmss 1380
sysopt connection tcpmss minimum 0
sysopt connection permit-vpn
sysopt connection reclassify-vpn
no sysopt connection preserve-vpn-flows
no sysopt nodnsalias inbound
no sysopt nodnsalias outbound
no sysopt radius ignore-secret
no sysopt noproxyarp inside
no sysopt noproxyarp outside
Any other ideas? -
Remote Access VPN connecting but not passing traffic
I have a remote access VPN configured on a device here. I'm able to connect a device and it assigns me an IP address out of the pool, and injects the routes to its local network, but I'm not able to pass any traffic through the VPN and none of the IPSec SA counters increment for the dial-in connection. I've compared the config here to the samples from documentation and I don't know what I'm missing. Config is below.

Cisco ASA 5505 Site to Site VPN tunnel up, but not passing traffic
Thanks to a previous thread, I do have a 5505 up and running, and passing data....
https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3900751
Now I am trying to get a IPSEC VPN tunnel working.
I actually have it up (IKE phase 1 & 2 both passed), but it is not sending/receiving data through the tunnel.
The networks concerned:
name 10.0.0.0 Eventual (HQ Site behind Firewall)
name 1.1.1.0 CFS (Public Network Gateway for Palo Alto Firewall - Firewall IP: 1.1.1.1)
name 2.2.2.0 T1 (Remote site - Outside interface of 5505: 2.2.2.2)
name 10.209.0.0 Local (Remote Network - internal interface of 5505: 10.209.0.3)
On a ping to the HQ network from behind the ASA, I get....
portmap translation creation failed for icmp src inside:10.209.0.9 dst inside:10.0.0.33 (type 8, code 0)
I am suspecting that there is a NAT error and/or a lack of a static route for the rest of the 10.0.0.0 traffic, and that I may have to exempt/route the traffic for the HQ network (10.0.0.0), but I haven't been able to get the correct entries to make it work.
Below is the config.
Can anyone see if there is something sticking out?

Access Points Not Passing DHCP to Clients
I have a 50+ access point deployment, all in a single VLAN (DMZ), across a dozen buildings. We recently experienced wierdness of the following sort. Clients would request DHCP request, DHCP servers would forward requests, which would not get passed from the AP to the clients. We could verify that DHCP and all other parts of network were fine. I had to cold boot each AP to clear the condition. I could find nothing in this mix of 350s and 1200s or the spectrum that would indicate an obvious attack... Couldn't find where to start looking for any tables that were full, or any real place to look for some other reason for this. Yet after cold boot- all is well.
Any thoughts, in case it happens again?Hi Guys,
I am having a similar problem to you, however i can get authentciated via LEAP, but dont seem to get an IP adderss from the radius server.
My setup is very simple as i am at the design stage. We have a Cisco AP 1200 (2.4 and 5.0 GHZ) and we are using FUNK steel belted RADIUS server. LEAP authentication works fine and i can see the association on the AP. The wirless client (HP W400 integrated Wireless cards) shows that it has been authenticated successfully too. However no IP is being received. We have a IP Pool configured on the SBR server and the SBR server shows that it has issued an IP address.
Next step was to place a sniffer and capture the packets. The capture shows the radius requests and challenges and in the very last ACCEPT packet we can see that the SBR has issued an IP address.
I am confused as i cant see anything on AP that would block the IP address. There are also a few attributes showing as "unknown" in the sniffer trace, so im not too sure wgats going on.
Can anyone help. The IOS is 12.2 (13) JA -
LMS 4.0.1 software distribution 3 out of 7 fail to pass traffic after reload
I've distributed (7) IOS C3560-ipbasek9-mz.150-1.SE2.bin upgrades on identical 3560G PS-S platform using LMS 4.0.1. All jobs come back successfully completed with the /MD5 hash matching exactly what Cisco has on their website. All devices have sufficient 32MB worth of Flash and verified enough was available prior to distribution.
Issue: After reload 2 of these 3560G devices would not pass traffic. Also, neighboring devices could see these devices through "show cdp neighbors detail" but the management IP was not being displayed. After consoling into these devices via (console port) the management IP address was there but was unable to ping this address locally and neighboring devices were unable to be pinged as well. Performed the "sh run" command and verified the config was correct.
***Cisco's engineers suggestion was to load a lower IOS.***
***I've perused the caveats with this release and have not found any solutions.***
I've already replaced the offending switches with new devices but don't want to keep upgrading with this many failures after reloading.Your devices with the NX-OS versions you indicate should be OK per the LMS 4.0.1 Supported Devices Table.
Have you updated your LMS with the latest device packages? See the procedure here. -
ASA 5510 with Cisco 2811 Router Behind it - Not forwarding traffic
Hi all,
Some might know that I have been dealing with an issue where I cannot seem to get forwarded packets to reach their destinations behind an ASA 5510 that has a Cisco 2811 connected directly behind it.
Some examples that work.
I can SSH into the ASA.
I can SSH to the Cisco Routers behind the ASA.
I cannot reach items beind the Cisco Routers.
My Configuration is this (I am sure I included a bunch of info I didn't need to, but I am hoping it'll help!):
I have a static Ip assigned to my Ouside Interface Ethernet 0/1
It has an IP address of 199.195.xxx.xxx
I am trying to learn how to shape network traffic (this is all new to me) via the ASA and the Routers to specific devices.
The Inside Interface on the ASA is 10.10.1.1 255.255.255.252
The Outside Interface on the 2811 is 10.10.1.2 255.255.255.252
I can ping the router from the ASA. I can SSH through the ASA to the router.
BUT I CANNOT ACCESS DEVICES BEHIND THE ROUTER.
So, I wanted to BAM that statement above because I just don't kjnow where the issue is. Is the issue on the router or the ASA, my guess is, the router, but I just don't know.
Here are my configs, helpfully someone can help.
ASA errors on the ASDM when I try and hit resources; specifically a web device behind the ASA and the 2811. It's Ip address 192.168.1.5 it's listening on port 80.Static IP, not assigned via DHCP.

no message-leI ran those commands while I had the nat off on the router and here are the results. note, i didn't make any changes to the ASA as you only said to remove the router RIP which I did and reloaded and no change.
As long as the statements ip nat outside on the Fastethernet 0/0 is off and the ip nat inside is off on the vlan and the overload statement is taken out, I cannot hit the internet.

Ethernet not able pass traffic after Mountain Lion upgrade.
I used the ethernet on my display to download Mountain Lion. Ran the install, rebooted, now nothing. Wifi works fine from my connected MBP15. The display adapter shows connected, but doesn't get a DHCP IP. If I set one manually, it doesn't pass traffic. Any updates I've missed? What else could it be?
Hi
Thanks for your replies. It isn't a gmail account - it's a domain account hosted by Domainmonster. Also my iCloud email is now intermittent :(
I've checked the SSL settings/authentication settings and everything is as it should be according to the email provider. It's frustrating as it was working fine for exactly a week following the upgrade and then just stopped sending mail. Also, the intermittent nature of the problem on the iCloud account now suggests to me at least that this is a problem that isn't the users fault?
I've downloaded thunderbird and all my accounts are working perfectly through that so for the time being at least I'm staying with the upgrade and hoping that a future apple update might address the issue. From the reading around I've done this seems to be a problem some people are having that tends to be intermittent in nature and resolved temporarily but not completely at the users end of things.
I've given up for now thanks to the fact that Thunderbird is working and I can still access my accounts on my iPhone. Very frustrating though when things don't make sense :) I mean, if it was going to stop working I would expect it to have stopped when I upgraded - not functioned fine for a while afterwards and then just literally send a mail one minute and refuse to send the next five minutes later. Also with my new problem today of Mail and my .me account - randomly sending mail when it feels like it and stacking mails up in the outbox the next - just doesn't make sense to me :)
If anyone does figure out what's going on I'd be grateful for any ideas/suggestions. Seems weird that all the email accounts function fine through thunderbird but not Mail. So far anyway :) -
I'm using amxmlc to build a SWF from an MXML source code file. I'm passing -swf-version=13 to amxmlc.
In the MXML source, I have the following line:
<s:TextArea id="inputTextArea" width="100%" height="100" fontSize="28" borderColor="#000000" skinClass="spark.skins.mobile.TextInputSkin" />
I get these errors when running the amxmlc command:
...App.mxml(428): Error: Access of undefined property TextInputSkin.
<s:TextArea id="inputTextArea" width="100%" height="100" fontSize="28" borderColor="#000000" skinClass="spark.skins.mobile.TextInputSkin" />
...App.mxml(428): Error: Definition spark.skins.mobile:TextInputSkin could not be found.
<s:TextArea id="inputTextArea" width="100%" height="100" fontSize="28" borderColor="#000000" skinClass="spark.skins.mobile.TextInputSkin" />
Why am I getting these errors? I need to be able to use the spark.skins.mobile.TextInputSkin in order to have use of the soft keyboard on iOS devices.you need the classes mentioned after 'Definition" in the lines below and they should be place in de/alex_uhlmann/animationpackage subdirectory of your default directory.

WAAS mobile with secure access https (not VPN)
Hi all !!! Hope everyone is well !!!
I have a WAAS environment in place we want to deploying WAAS mobile for teleworkers. My question is, can WAAS mobile works for users that use secure access with https (not vpn connexion)
Thanks in advance !!!Hi Tarik,
First of all, let me insist on the fact the a WAAS mobile client will not interact with a WAAS appliance on the core side and that you'll need to have a WAAS mobile installed there is you want your teleworkers to get the benefit from WAAS.
That said, let me answer your question: WAAS mobile can indeed accelerate HTTPS traffic.
This is described on page 61 of the following document:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/app_ntwk_services/waas/waas_mobile/v3.5/configuration/administration/g

Traffic not passing through firewall
Ive got a problem with passing traffic through a Cisco 515e firewall.
im trying to telnet to devices on the inside net, 172.16.x.x fom an outside net 10.x.x.x
ive configured a group called infrastructure and added the 10.x.x.x addresses.
ive configured acl 101 inbound on the outside interface:
access-list 101 permit tcp object-group INFRASTRUCTURE any eq telnet
theres a route to the inside net:
inside 172.16.0.0 255.255.0.0 172.16.163.1
and theres a translation:
static (inside,outside) 10.4.4.34 10.4.4.34 netmask 255.255.255.255
when i try and connect, using a packet capture I can see traffic from 10.4.4.34 to the inside device 172.x.x.x on the inside interface but i cant see the traffic leave the outside interface
ive used the same group infrastructure group before to connect to VM machines on the 172.x.x.x net on RDP and this wrks ok.
access-list 101 permit tcp object-group INFRASTRUCTURE object-group VMs eq 3389
does anyone have any idea what is wrong?Hi Michael,
Please post the output from below command.
packet-tracer input outside icmp 10.4.4.34 8 0 172.16.163.7
You may have to allow icmp travers temporarily on the ACL 101, to check the reachability.
Look forward to hear from you.
thanks

How to resolve a Lenovo PC that will not pass the Lenovo Splash screen with no access to Windows
Here is my problem and here is the solution!!!
My B540 Ideacentre would not pass the Lenovo splash screen. The only operational keys I had was F1 (BIOS) and F12 (BIOS options). F2 went to a light blue screen so no chance of even a one key recovery. Warrenty had expired four and a half months ago. I contacted Lenovo and after the guy told me to try F2 twice he said it was a HDD or other hardware failure and would cost around £200 maybe and also would take about two weeks.
AT THIS POINT YOU SHOULD NOT BE ANGRY FRUSTRATED OR PANIC. REMAIN CALM AND STOP AND THINK WHAT ACTUALLY WAS HAPPENING WHEN YOU LAST USED YOUR PC.
For me I remembered Windows had auto downloaded 8.1 and was asking me to install. Also my keyboard had lost shift W T Y keys. This told me that it was not a hardware issue but a software issue and perhaps from this update. My HDD was not clicking or beeping and this PC has a 2TB Seagate Barracuda which has a good reputation. Luckly for me I also have a Seagate external expansion 2TB and a 500MB expansion which was the HDD from my old HP Touchsmart which I converted into an external hard drive by buying a HDD enclosure with cooling fan and all leads from eBay for £25 and this is where the solution is.
If you can create an expansion drive so easily and access the HDD then why cant I do it with the HDD from my Ideacentre and of course you can. So first unplug your PC or laptop. Next remove the cover and unclip the HDD (which is easy with the B540. See user instructions). Next I removed my HP HDD from the enclosure and fitted my Ideacentre HDD in its place. Next you need a laptop or another PC. Switch it on and then connect your HDD to the laptop or PC via highspeed USB cable. My laptop is running Windows 7 Ultimate and of course has all the repair tools required. When the software has loaded you may get a box that will have two options. The first will ask you if you want to repair your files and the second to scan for bad sectors and to attempt repair recovery of sectors. Tick both boxes and click start. This is a long slow process but worth the wait. Nine hours later my HDD was ready. I connected my Seagate expansion to my laptop and moved all new files that I had not backed up. So at this point you should create a folder and move all your photos music videos documents etc to it. This can take upto three hours if you have never backed up before and are moving everything. Once completed I shut everything down and replaced the HDD into my Ideacentre. Make sure do not have any external devices connected such as expansions external drives headphones etc. Connect the power and switch on. The Ideacentre booted up and there was a pause at the splash screen then it went to a black screen and then by the miracle of logical thinking I was at my lock screen. I was never so glad to see the map of my home land "Ukraine". After jumping up and down with joy I then went in and all was as normal but to be sure I went into safemode and started a complete restore. This is the option where you completely format your HDD and restore as new. It takes a long time but it is the best option because you do not want this to happen again. When this has completed and you are in Windows do not wait a moment longer by playing with your photos or creating your desktop picture. Go to create a recovery drive (use a 32GB stick) and after that also make a copy to disc. Next go to command prompt (cmd) Admin and change a setting by typing bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy. This will now enable your F8 key to boot straight into safemode just incase you need to in the future. It will slow boot time a little but better to be able to get in to Windows than not at all for the sake of a few seconds.
Well I hope this helps someone out there and I know you may think its a lot to do but it is not. Ask a friend to borrow a laptop or PC and perhaps a HDD encloser. The rest is just time but when you see your lock screen you will not care trust me.
Cлава Україні!!! Героям слава!!!I thought this was the method I used before but I followed through it and it was a horrific fail. "Operating system not found". Can anyone help?

Steps To Achieve Victory
Download the ISO you want to use
Open Terminal (in /Applications/Utilities)
Convert .iso to .img using hdiutil:
hdiutil convert -format UDRW -o /path/to/target.img /path/to/source.iso
Rename if OS X gave it a .dmg ending:
mv /path/to/target.img.dmg path/to/target.img
Type diskutil to get a list of currently connected devices
Insert USB drive you want to use
Run diskutil again to see what your USB stick gets assigned eg - /dev/disk3
Run diskutil unmountDisk /dev/diskN (where N is the number assigned to your USB stick, in previous example it would be 3)
Run sudo dd if=/path/to/target.img of=/dev/diskN bs=1m (if you get an error, replace bs=1m with bs=1M
Run diskutil eject /dev/diskN and remove your USB stick
The USB stick will now be ready to use
