3GS noise when placing a call (only GSM, not 3G)

Hi,
when placing a call I get a strange noise and the person in the other end cannot hear me ok.
This is only when having a GSM coonection.
When using 3G it works ok, but 3G coverage is not everywhere...

Sounds weird that it happened all of a sudden.
Maybe apple send hidden updates through the 3g network.
I have a brand new iphone 4s not even 2 days old and it has this issue.
I have to take to apple store tomorrow for them to replace.

I solved it myself, after the "note" which came back from FF/Mozilla just as I finished my message, commenting on what it was that my system had , I wnnt back to check my plug-ins etc. I downloaded the latest Java, BOTH 32bit AND 64 bit versions and latest Firefox.
Now all is working.

3GS showing When charging. Shows message charging not supported with this accessory

I have noticed this message appears after software update. I used an after market charger in my car. When my iPhone 3GS would fall below 20% battery only the car charger would work. Then it would appear again at 99% charge. My only solution is use a car charger or connect to computer if falls below 20% or do what I do and make sure never falls below 20%. The factory charger works fine charging at 20%to 99%. Not sure but I guess something in the newe software is confused about the messages you get for falling below 20% and being charged fully. Anything to add or help please.

I had the same problem with my 3gs phone after the upgrade too. Took it to apple. All they offered me was a 4G at a discount. They claim this has nothing to do with the upgrade....tons of posts says it does. I bought an android. Not too happy with apple right now!
Never had a problem with the phone before, in fact I loved it.

Emergency calls only-restore not work

Today I went to use my phone after having used it only 20 mins earlier and it had the picture of the itunes and the cord saying emergency calls only and to hook the phone to itunes.
I did this and nothing changed, still said no service. So I did a full restore of the settings back to factory. It came up with the service provider again and I loaded everything back on it. Then I went to send a message and it came up with emergency calls again.
I took the sim out and then re inserted it. Same thing.
I don't want to have to send the phone away to be fixed.
Any tips on what I could try?

I witnessed a bad traffic accident not long ago and when I tried calling 911, there was no answer at that particular time - must have been a lot of calls at that particular time, or a shift change was going on, or a number of operators were taking an extended coffee or bathroom break.
If I was in dire straights and unable to place a call, but I was with someone that could place a call on my behalf who doesn't know my passcode, I would want them to have the ability to dial any number if there was no 911 answer at that particular time.

when i get a phone call, no ringer sounds even though yes i'm sure i have a ringer selected.
if i test the ringer sound in general > settings, i hear the sound. if i change the ringer to another option, i can hear it in settings, but not when i actually get a phone call.
when i get a text, no alert sound is made even though yes i'm sure i have an alert selected. if i test the alert in general > settings, i hear the alert sound. if i change the alert to another option, i can hear it in settings, but not when i actually get a text.
i have tried a restore and a re-boot

Close any open app pages that appear
Restart phone
This apparently resets the apps and the ring tone goes on when you receive a text.
Worked for me anyway.

My iphone was making and receiving calls no problem yesterday but today when i go to make/receive a call there is this really loud siren like noise on the call
and nobody can hear one another.
I put the phone on loudspeaker and its fine no problems.
I dont have my bluetooth active and i have turned the phone off and on and took the sim card out.
I always updated the iphone to 4.3.4 and nothing has worked.
My phone is within warranty but i dont know if i need to send it for repair or not.

I am experiencing a memory leak when using ajax calls, only in Firefox 4.

I have been developing an intranet application that uses jquery's ajax function to refresh certain parts of a page. I have tested this application in Firefox 4, IE9 and Chrome 11 on a Windows 7 64-bit machine.
Only Firefox is seeing an increase in memory usage, leading me to believe there may be an issue with how Firefox is handling these types of calls.
I have been investigating this issue for two solid days now and have come across solutions to similar issues for slightly different configurations, but none have solved the problem I am experiencing.
The software and versions I have been using are:
Windows 7 64-bit
Firefox 4.0.1
jQuery 1.6.1
Any assistance or even a clarification that the issue exists would be helpful.

The behaviour you describe is strange. Something to try: Open a refernce to the file one time before entering the loop, then inside the loop use that reference to do all the writing. Finally close the reference when the loop completes.If this doesn't work, post your code in 6.0 format and I'll be glad to look at it.Mike...

I bought this phone a few days ago.but when unbox and turn on i see many shaking on lcd and I had to return and buy a new one.now when i make a call or sms or using data traffic i see shaking image on my z1.i think its impression antenna noise on lcd.please help me.what can i do???!!!

2 - Do you hear noise in both ports?
3 - Usually in the case of noise, the problem is not in the router of the beholder. Often the problem is the user of the remote end. The Other End. (Ask for verification on the other side too)
4 - Check the qos is never enough.

My lg touch goes blank when calling vm & i cannot get the dial pad w/o opening the phone. I've seen other postings regarding resetting the proximity in the service menu but i cant find it on this phones menu. how / where do i go to reset the proximity settings IF that is what will fix it. thanks.

Hello yosmt! I've researched the operation you've mentioned (changing the proximity settings on the Cosmos Touch) and can't find any data on it. I can tell you this: If you're dialing to your voicemail or any other Interactive voice response system, the display should remain illuminated while the phone is held at a distance from the human face for at least 5 seconds. If your phone isn't doing that, then we have to discuss options other than changing settings. If you want, you can send me a personal message through the forum. Turning off DialPad Noise When Making A Call

Is there a way to do this now in 10.3 without muting the entire phone?
I do cold calls a lot and this just annoys the heck out of people around me.
If i do turn it off, I will have to guess when i receive a work related email/txt...... Unbelievable problem that's been around for 2 years now almost?
