5 company codes have 5 different fisical year

Dear Fi experts,
I have 5 company codes and one controlling area. 5 company codes are different fiscal variants.
How to assign the 5 company codes to my controlling area and it is possible in std sap, if it is possible how we will do.
My fisical year is year independent, i mean jan have 30 days feb have 23 day, march having 35 days and april having 40 days for example.
How it will configure in std sap, Kindly tell me the process.
Regards
Venkaatswamy

Hi
in my knowledge if the fiscal year variants are different then its not possible to maintain one controlling area for all 5 company codes.
2.  if you are maintain the year dependents fiscal year.  then maintain the number of dates in OB29.
MONTH DAY PERIOD YEARSHIF
here you can maintain the month number of dates and period. if any year shift also.
hope this will help you.

  • A/P F110 Payment via company code in a different country

The client is a service organization where the Vendor data is managed in the US company code (US01) and the Customer data in managed in a Swiss company code (CH02). Many of the customers could also provide services and the invoices are posted to vendor accounts in the US01 company code.
In the case where the vendor amount exceeds the customer amount, the customer/vendor has agreed that the client will pay the net amount and clear the net to the customer account.
Clearing between the customer and vendor in company codes in the same country and with the bank account managed in the same country works as expected.
The CH02 company code does not have a bank account of its own and therefore cannot make its own payments.
    The problem that we encounter is that I cannot define (for F110 configuration) sending and paying company codes where the country assigned are different, e.g.;
       - Sending company code: CH02
       - Paying Company code:  US01
When this is entered into the IMG configuration for "Automatic payments > Set Up All Company Codes for Payment Transactions" the error "Company code US90 is not permitted as the paying company code" (error code F3063) is issued. The detailed error description is:
"The paying company code and the company code on whose behalf the payment is being made must be in the same country, have the same local currency, and display the same currencies managed in parallel. The setting regarding extended withholding tax functions (active or not active) must also be identical for both company codes."
The initial design was to have the A/P and A/R in the CH02 company code but the payment via the US01 company code would not work. Having the vendor only in the US01 company code is a solution to this using an inter-company invoice posting. Using a work-around to clear the customer balance to the vendor account is not acceptable to the client.
The easy way out of this is to assign the CH02 company code to country code 'US', but this is not correct.
Is there a solution to making payments from company code US01 (as the paying company code) but including the customer items from a foreign company in the payment?

    Hi Martin,
    Welcome SDN!!!
The standard SAP doesnot provide payment via company code in a  different country. If you still feel that it is fit case, please contact SAP.SAP may consider this a special requirement and may cover your case under SAP Note 357732.(pls have a look once).
    Thanks

  • Company code currency is different to the FM area currency

    Sir,
There is 2 companis one in India and one in USA as such the currency diffence is coming and the error comes as :-
company code currency is different to the FM area currency
    Please resolve
Also Not able to do the Cost Centre budget upload in KP06

    Hi,
if both company codes have to be assigned to the same FM Area (which I guess is your scenario), you should define at company code level at least one currency matching the one defined in the FM Area.
    Check the online help:
Within 'Master data -> Enterprise Structure - Organizational Units  ->Organizational Structures - Assignments  ':
The FM area is derived from the Financial Accounting organizational unit, the Company Code by assigning the company code relevant for Funds Management in your organization to an FM area. One or more company codes can be assigned to an FM area.
With this assignment, you must note that the currency of each company code assigned to the FM area must match the FM area currency.
If the 1 local currency (currency 10 = company code currency) of all company codes assigned to an FM area does not match the FM area currency, you must manage an additional local currency in these company codes.  The additional local currencies must have the same currency type and the same currency as the FM area currency.
You define the additional local currencies in the Customizing of Financial Accounting in IMG activity Define Additional Local Currencies and of Funds Management Government in IMG activity Make Other Settings.
    hope this helps

    Dear  Madam,
Please  activate WTH for another company for posting Inter company code Transactions.
If you are not posting INTER COMPANY Transactions
Just go to Document Posting ( any document Like ... FB60 )
    Menu Bar>
    Settings> Editing Options>
Click on Check box  - Documents not cross - company code.
Just save and Go back and once exit and Reopen the document.
Next time you will not receive this message.

  • Asset Register with different Fiscal Year Variant

Ministry Of Commerce requires Power Line Carrier Companies to maintain
an additional fixed asset register. This register needs to have
Fiscal Year - April to March
Revaluation of Assets on 1 April every year based on indice provided
    Ministry.
    Depericiation Rates same as existing
    Staright line depreciation
No depreciation / revaluation of new assets aqired during the year
No depreciation on disposal of assets during the year
This can work OK for Companies with same Fiscal Year Variant (April to
    March).
What are the options for Companies with different Fiscal Year?
Some of the companies do not have the new GL activated and hence cannot
use the additional ledger and use for this purpose.
    Can you please advise.
    Regards,
    Suneel Bhonsule

If the company codes are using fiscal year variant April - March, then it is possible. If the company codes are using differant fiscal year variant other than April - March and if you want to get the report with the Fiscal year April-March,, it will not work out..
Even If new GL Activated for all company codes also its not possible.. i had a experience of this and finally came to know that parellel ledger or special ledger concept will not support for Diefferant fiscal year for Asset accounting alone which is differant from Company code fiscal year..
    Thanks

  • Consolidated balance sheet for 3 company codes having different fiscal year

All the three company codes use the same chart of accounts.
Among the 3, 2 company code are having the same fiscal year variant, controlling area and tha same local currency.
One company code has different fiscal year variant , controlling area and local currency.
Now is it possible to see the balance sheet in f.01 for all the 3 company codes.
If no, could  anyone let me  know if I have to use the multiple ledger concept to do thid.
I am aware that multiple ledger concept appears when the same company code has different fiscal year variants , we can  see tha same posting in different fiscal year variants.
I am not sure if I have to use the multiple ledgers to see the consolidate balance sheet for the three companies.
Please provide me with a clarity on the same.

  • Assigning Different Fiscal Year Variants between comapny codes

    Folks,
We have 2 company codes 1000 and 1010 both are assigned to controlling area 2000. I want to know what are the impacts of assigning company 1000 and 1010 to different fiscal year variants. I get this warning message when i try to save.
Please advice if this is advisable to do? and what are the impacts.
    Message no. KT297
    Diagnosis
Fiscal year variant K4, controlling area 2000, does not agree with fiscal year variant V9, company code 1010.
    The following entries must agree:
Same number of posting periods (the number of special periods may vary)
    Same period limits
    Procedure
Ensure that the fiscal year variants of the controlling area and the assigned company codes agree. If necessary, maintain the fiscal year variants.

    Dear Zaid Azam,
you have assigned 1000 and 1010 to one controlling area 2000,
To assign more than one company code to one controlling area the below are conditions
    1) The Operative fiscal year variants in the company codes must match the fiscal year variant in controlling area.
    2) The company codes must use the same chart of accounts.
So  if you are assigning other fiscal year variant where the number of posting periods are different, hece system giving an error.
    Thanks and Regards

  • Bulk Procurement for various different company codes in a single PO

    Hi friends,
    I have a scenario.
My client has 3 company codes in 3 different countries ( India, Ukraine and Japan)
They procure a number of laptops for their project run at all over.
They have central purchasing organization in India and assigned to all the plants of the all the company codes.
Since they have bulk requirement, they will go for bulk procurement from India and ask vendor to deliver at Ukraine and Japan. This will help them to have good discount on bulk quantity.
How to map in SAP. How account posting done.
How Japan and Ukraine company codes gets liability. These purchases should reflect individual company code expenses.
    Gurus please suggest me.
    Thanks.
    Atchyuth

As your all three companies are having different Currency, standard SAP will not allow to create PO for multiple company code.
The company code in PO is maintained at header level and One PO will have only one company code.

  • Different number range for recurring docs for diff company code

    Hi,
We define X1 as the number range for recurring company codes. For 2 company codes, we have given the same number range for X1, 100000-1999999
Now when a recurring doc is posted for both the company codes monthly, the company codes have same dco number which confuses the user.
Is there any way to change the set up of the number range like deleting the one existing and starting with the new series
    Any other suggestions are appreciated
    -Vaibhav

    Hello,
You cannot deleted the number range if it has already been posted, however, you just limit or restrict the upper limit equal to the current number.
Create a new number for other company code.
the number ranges are defined at company code level / fiscal year level.
The number ranges can be year dependent or year independent
They may be internal or external.

  • Version 4.6c Cross Company Code Incoming payment to lockbox.

In version 4.6c I am trying to find out the correct IMG configuration for processing incoming payments to a lockbox when multiple companies are using one company for banking.  Here is what I have done so far:
Here are the company codes:  2100 has house banks and lockbox set up.
0980 does not have house bank or lockbox.
OX16 - all both company codes involved are assigned to the same Company.
OBVU - Non-bank company code  0980 has 2100 set up as Paying Company Code
OBYA - Clearing accounts have been set up between 0980-2100.
OB05 - Accounting Clerk has been set up for both company codes.
OB10 - Lockbox from 2100 has been set up  for 0980.  Even though 0980 does not have a House bank set up, IMG Configuration did allow the lockbox and house bank for 2100 to be saved under 0980.
OB96 - Forms to be used were linked to 0980
One issue we are having is that when we attempt to set up a Customer for 0980 a field for Lockbox is required to be entered.  When the 2100 Lockbox is input, an error message pops up saying that 0980 does not have a House Bank.
Can someone please explain how to complete the configuration for this type of activity in version 4.6c?  Also should we be using F-28, FB05 or some other t-code to post incoming payments.

    Hello,
You can post the cross company code postings even between two controlling areas. The system does not prevent to post documents between two company codes in two controlling area. Need not necessarily they should be under one operating concern. Provided you have to make sure that you have followed the following points:
In OBY6 - To company codes must be assigned to same Company, meaning that you mus thave created a Company and that company must have been assigned to these two company codes.
OBYA - You should maintain the clearing accounts in both the company codes. Meaning that you are posting one leg in one company code and the other leg in the other company. Therefore, it is required to have the missing legs in each company code.
    Company Code1 - Posting Key 40 - Clearing Account
    Company Code1 - Posting Key 50 - Clearing Account
    Company Code2 - Positng Key 40 - Clearing Account
    Company Code2 - Posting Key 50 - Clearing Account
OB08 - In case if the two company codes have different local (company code) currencies, you may maintain the exchange rates.
You can now go to F-02 and post a cross company code transaction giving the first leg in first company code and the second leg in second company code. Missing leg in the first company code will be posted to the GL Account mentioned in OBYA and the missing leg in the second company code will be posted to the GL Account mentioned in OBYA. That means you will have four line items overall.
The system will post three document.
Document 1 in First Company Code
Document 2 in Second Company Code
    and
Document3 - Cross Company Code Document.
The cross company code document consists of the first company code document number plus company code plus last two digits of the fiscal year.
Hope this must have clarified your doubts.
Please let me know in case if you need further details.
