I have a application page that have a method in code behond ..i need to call this method on usercontrol using jquey on client side..when i ma makeing the call to method using $.Ajax({definiotion});
then it gives me error 500 internal server error and this is coming only with the case when i am passing parameter to method usig javascript var object
help me out on this... if required i wll upload the code also..

I've provided the error message for Account WS but we are seeing this for almost all the web services on regular basis. This issue has made the integration almost unusable. I'm working with Techsupport but they have been very unresponsive in the SR.

Frequent '500 Internal Server Error' on apexlistener 2.0

I hope someone can help me. We've got an OracleXE 11g DB with apex 4.2 and apex listener 2.0 with apache reverse proxy setup. The Database and Apex4.2 is running on it's own Server and the Apex Listener is running in Glassfish on its own server, this is working fine but
sometimes the users gets the listener page with the error '500 Internal Server Error' on it when either going to an apex page or submitting data etc this happens frequently. Before using apex listener we were using EPG and never came across the internal server error, this only started happening after moving to apex listener 2.0 so i assume that the problem is with the listener, I also checked the log files for apache and glassfish but there is no message or error regarding this everything seems to check out. is there someway to view the logfile or setup the log for apexlistener so that i can maybe get more details as to why this is happening??

Hi,
sometimes the users gets the listener page with the error '500 Internal Server Error' on Are you sure this page is issued by APEX Listener? If so, there really should be further information in your APEX Listener's log (in your case, probably part of your GlassFish's server.log).
If the error is actually issued by your reverse proxy, you may find more detailed information in the error log of your proxy service.
(BTW: How did you implement that reverse proxy? - Software, parameters...)

When i install CCM 4.1.2 the admin page was opening without having any problems. Eventually CCM admin page is not opening.

500 Internal server error WRT54G2

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my router, WRT54G2. I was upgrading my firmware when my computer froze up, so I had to exit. Afterwards, I could not connect to the web based setup page anymore. I did a factory reset and installed it again with Network Magic and set up my wireless key. It is working now however, I cannot get into the web based setup page. Whenever i go to 192.168.1.1 and enter my info, it just says 500 Internal Server Error. I was always able to access this page, now I can't, so I assume it's not working because of the interrupted firmware update. I do alot of mac filtering and I limit the amount of IP addresses my router gives out so if anyone hacks my security key, they still won't be able to connect, so accessing my router setup page is important to me. I have reset (hold down reset button for 30 secs - 1 minute) the router many times and still nothing. I mean, the router still works. My brother and I can still connect with our laptops, I just can't get to the web based setup page.
Is there anything I can do to fix this or did I screw it up beyond repair? Thanks.

A few suggestions...
First is try looking up your router's IP address and see if it's still set to 192.168.1.1 through command prompt. Then try pinging the address.
If you are able to ping it, do another 30 second reset then flash the router's firmware by using the TFTP utility. Download it here. Instructions here.
If you are unable to ping it or the TFTP doesn't work, do a 30-30-30 reset. Instructions here.
If these don't work, I'm out of ideas. Lastly, you really don't need to set up MAC filtering as it's somehow exploitable with MAC address spoof. You'd probably find this suggested on the forums countless times but just set a good WPA2 passphrase and you're good to go. If anyone is good enough to hack your WPA2 key (which is currently near impossible) then he'd have no problem getting around your MAC filter.

Content-Type: application/xml
...check for the content type of the message that is sent ot the WS.....with the above mentioned content-type going to the WS currently...WS is not able to parse the req and hence the error....in other words wrong format being being passed.

I am using standalone forms and report services. I am getting intermittently 500 Internal Server Error while calling Reports 10g.

500 Internal error is a generic error and it could be due to multiple reasons like misconfiguration or the dearth of the resources.

Sometime fail to call servlet ERROR message: java.io.FileNotFoundException: Response: '500: Internal Server Error' for url:.

I receiving the following error when calling a LOV.
Both date LOV's and LOV's based on a foreign key fail.

JDeveloper will not run out of the box with JDK 1.4. There is a help topic 'Configuring Support for JDK 1.4.0.01 in JDeveloper' that gives you some information.
But you also need to verify the compatability of all the frameworks you use with JKD 1.4, including BC4J, MVC and UIX. E.g. the classes12.jar we normally use for a JHeadstart application only works with JKD 1.2/1.3.
Having found out which versions of the frameworks you need, the next step is to validate whether the JHeadstart runtime classes will work with these versions. We have no experience ourself in this respect.
If it is an option for you, you might consider to downgrade to JKD 1.3.

Failed to call the endpoint: HTTP 500 Internal Server Error

Hi,
We are working with a scenario that use the SOAP adapter to call a web service from XI.
This scenario is working 98% of the time but sometimes we get the following error:
com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: Failed to call the endpoint: HTTP 500 Internal Server Error
I do not think this is a network issue as we resubmit the workflow from SXMB_MONI_BPE and the error is the same. If it was a network issue I guess this would resubmit successfully.
Does anyone have an idea what could cause this intermittant error ?
Also, this is not an easily reproducable error so there is no point raising an OSS call as SAP will need a reproducable example which we cannot easily do.
Any help would be appreciated.

Since u are getting the error when calling an external webservice from XI, this is an error on the webservice provider's box(webserver). You may wnat to contact the administrator of the webserver and ask him to into the error logs. This is a very common issue when using external webservices from XI. Look at the following for more information on HTTP 500 Error
HTTP 500 Internal Server Error:
This error can only be resolved by fixes to the Web server software. It is not a client-side problem. It is up to the operators of your Web server site to locate and analyse the logs which should give further information about the error.
This is a 'catch-all' error generated by your Web server. Basically something has gone wrong, but the server can not be more specific about the error condition in its response to the client. In addition to the 500 error notified back to the client, the Web server should generate some kind of internal error log which gives more details of what went wrong. It is up to the operators of your Web server site to locate and analyse these logs.

I'm really failing at this.... Our system:
XServe Intel 10.5.2 Server.. all current updates. Services running:
AFP
DNS
iCal
iChat
Open Directory (Kerberos running)
Web
My personal iCal crashed and I lost my connection to the iCal server. I tried deleting the Account (on my Client) and re-connecting.
Now, ANY attempt at making a new account in iCal on MULTIPLE computers fails with "*Request for http://xxxxxxxxxxx.lan:8008/principals/_uids_/5B72686D-4769-4F3C-98AF-1B617ECB76F3/ failed. The server responded with "HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error"*.
I copied the log on iCal Server after an attempted account creation. Any thoughts on a repair would be appreciated:

I started getting this error yesterday. All users and group calendar access fails. I can no longer enable calendaring for any user or group. I check the box for a user, save it, click to a different user, come back to the previous user and it is deselected.
I'm ready to put iCal Server aside and move to Chandler or something else. I've introduced this to our staff and we were just ramping up usage. Now it seems to have died on me.
Anyone have a solution?

I am not totally sure that error occurred by the authentication. But I suggest you can try to add this service into your project using this method below:
1.right click the Reference and select Add Service Reference
2.input your service link and click "Go"
And you can use this service as the following:

Error 500--Internal Server Error in a Project Gantt Chart portlet

Hi All
I am getting Error 500--Internal Server Error in a Project Gantt Chart portlet of Corporate Dashboard.
We have recently installed the Primavera EPPM 8.1, here are the steps we followed to setup the Primavera EPPM 8.1
1) We have created the database schemas by using automatic database setup(by clicking on dbsetup.bat on the media files)
2) Installed Weblogic server 11gR1(10.3.4)
3)Created web logic domain as admin server
4) Installed P6 Web access and deployed on weblogic domain
5)Made changes to setEnvDomain file of weblogic domain to increase the Java Heap size and to locate the location of p6.war file
6)Reastred the weblogic domain
Now we can access the Primavera but in one of the portlet we are getting Error 500--Internal Server Error.
Please le me know if I miss any thing while installing or should I modify P6 configuration settings through p6 admin confiuration console.
Also it would be greatful if any one provide me th best practice to setup Primavera EPPM 8.1.
