68 gbs of app's on the HDD but there is no where near that amount as the mac book air is only a week old
Hi - I recently migrated to Mac from a PC (about a week ago) and I noticed today that the HDD is nearly full already. There is no where near this amount of data on the HDD and I am confused as to what the Time machine is doing for me. I have two seperate external HD, one for my picture and the other for backing up the full system which I would normally have done twice monthly on my PC. I did notice that the Photos was huge so I migrated to the second EHD but all this seemed to do was allocate this space to applications as the amount of free space on the Mac didn't change at all.
Can anyone please help me to understand why this is happening in the first place and secondly how I can in the future keep a better control on the free space I have?

My ipad is showing 7gb of storage being used on photos but there's no where near that many. I turned off photo stream but nothing has changed yet. How do i get it to display the correct internal usage now that photo stream is off? I also thought that icloud used another form of storage outside of the internal storage for photos, so im not exactly sure why the photos were ever in my internal storage to begin with. Does anyone know how that happens, or how to correct this problem? Im also trying to sync my ipad with my computer hoping that'll help, but nothing so far, its just taking a long time to back up.
If you are syncing now, that may correct the incorrect storage reading - assuming that it is incorrect.
You can also try something like this. While the iPad is still connected to iTunes - but after you sync - go into the Photos Tab in iTunes and toggle setting for Sync Photos From. Uncheck the setting and then check it again. See if that affects the capacity bar to show the correct storage amount. -
How can I email a video clip I downloaded into my iPhoto library to my friends? I tried creating an email and attaching the clip but there is no sound and no picture when the 5 minute attachment "plays." How can I file=>export it to them from iPhoto?
Have them install Quicktime on their PC's from Apple's website, that's the easiest fix.

Hey, migration from an old mac late 2008 aluminium to a brand new mac book air. Only the new one has firewire. Transmissiom via wifi estimates ~50h. Is there a faster Way to sync? Tanks in advance
I'll venture that your problem here is that you're using two very different versions of Mac OS X. The USB adapter has been useful to me when making big downloads or while using other networks, but it might not be your case.
Here's what I would advise, though it may be less than stellar: Copy the files you need into folders and move them through a USB flash drive or using that external hard drive of yours. (Could the format be the reason your MBA can't see it?). Some stuff like calendars and contacts can be exported too. At least in Lion, I haven't used Tiger in a while.

I have had a problem with my iphone 4s for some time now but I have just been so busy to try and fix it. When I try to disable cellular data in the settings for my apps it will toggle fine, but once I exit and go back in to the cellular settings its back on again all by itself. However, even though it says the data is on, I can’t use the data when I don’t have wifi. I tried restoring my phone a few times and the last time I did that, it wouldn’t turn my service on so I had to talk with a Verizon agent for a long time trying to fix it and finally they simply sent me another phone. I thought hey new phone, this part will be fixed. However, I got my service to work but it’s still the same problem with the cellular data. I have just left it alone and not worried about it, but it’s still not fixed and thought I could ask on here if anyone had any ideas. It has something to do with the apps actually installed on the iphone. Apps like the mail, safari, settings, itunes apps, etc. All my other apps turn on and off just fine. Does anyone have any ideas?

I cannot export projects from GB in my MacBook into GB on my iPad3; nor can I export from IPad to my MacBook. I have tried going onto Apps update on the MacBook, but there were none available. I have read that this omission is to be corrected - can you confirm this is intended to happen, or is it already in process. While awaiting for this essential development, can you please suggest any way of transferring information either way?

I have apps on my iPad and my computer is not connected to the Internet. How do I get my apps to load on the computer ? Because it says the apps on my iPad will be replaced with the apps that are on the computer but there is none there!
Authorize the computer in iTunes -- Store>Authorizie this computer. Transfer the purchases from the iPad into iTunes and then you can sync with iTunes. Read this for instructions on transferring purchases from the iPad into iTunes.

My iPhone apps wouldn't open they just blink for a second and the home screen comes back again...i tried installing a free app from the AppStore but it didn't work and also tried resetting the iPhone but ddnt work as well please help what do i do??
Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

i can't sign in my apple Id account through the app store app on my mac book air but I am able to sign in through itunes.
They called Apple I Was talking to them on My Apple iPhone 5 & i was not getting any help today but they said on the phone that they sent a letter to Apple Engineers department & there gonna take care of it, i really hope that I Can get Back into My Apple ID Account??? i'm going to Cry if i can't??? I Bought 1000's & 1000's & 1000's of iTunes Stuff over the years since it 1st started, i would hate losing all that i'm going to Kill Myself if i can't get into My other Apple ID Account

I have the newest Ipod touch. It will not let me delete third party apps. When I hold down the app I want to delete it wiggles but there is no X. How do i delete the app still?
