A (sort of) random link generator html question...

Hello everyone,
Thank you in advanced for taking the time to read this.
I have a site in which I have made ten or so pages with different content on each one. I want to create a link on a main page that will take the user to a different one of those pages each time they click a button. A "random" link generator of sorts, only the "random" is my 10 pages of content.
Is anyone aware of the html that will do this? I am just savvy enough to understand the basics, and any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Swf2html.exe and infinite generated html files

    Dear,
    I use the tool swf2html.exe from Adobe for extracting textual content on .swf files.
    Is there a way to avoid infinite iteration on such swf files : i.e. http://www.cartoondollemporium.com/superdollz/dollz/1012/doll.swf ?
    The problem is that when I try to generate html file with that file in PHP, swf2html.exe made an infinite iterate and there is no way (except manualy cut the process) to stop for example on a max output file size generated.
    Thanks of you have some tips to avoid or solve that extracting problem,
    For test :
    http://www.se-flash.com/cgi-bin/flash.pl?etape2=1
    with http://www.jeuxclic.com/jeux/bubble_shooter.swf work.
    http://www.se-flash.com/cgi-bin/flash.pl?etape2=1
    with http://www.cartoondollemporium.com/superdollz/dollz/1012/doll.swf made infinite loop....

    1) All you do is specify a directory with the -d option and Javadoc creates the directory structure below that. We often use either "-d docs" or "-d html" to create a directory named "docs" or "html" in the current directory.
    2) Preferably they should be stored on a server that has a web server running so people can access them. We build the docs nightly on the development server where people can access the latest version using a file: URL (not with a web server). Then before each release we stage them on our intranet before we push them out to the intranet. We also run the DocCheck doclet and a link checker nightly so developers and writers can find errors in their documentation.
    3) If you want a top-level page that links to separate javadoc documents, you need to do this manually. However, keep in mind that you can also inter-link all those separate documents by using the -link or -linkoffline option.

  • Standards for storing the Javadoc generated html files?

    I'm new to using Javadoc have the following questions:
    1) Does anyone know of any standards as to what directory structure should be used to store the Javadoc generated html files?
    2) When working with a development and production environment, where should they be stored? Only on the development server or on both?
    3) When setting up a html page to link to all of the various Javadoc generated files for all of our applications, should we just manually create an html page that links to them or is there a tool that will take care of this?
    Any information that can be provided will be a big help!

  • Help: JSP Random Number Generator

    hello every one,
    Im trying to generate a random number using currentTimeMillis(), in Jsp, can you help me out and advice me how can this be done please.

    First you say you want a random number, then you say you want a unique one. Which is it?
    Random numbers do not normally guaruntee uniqueness.
    is there away i could use the currentTimeMillis(), What would you use it for? System.currentTimeMillis() is commonly used as a seed for a random number generator. The java.util.Random class uses it like that - take a look at that API link.
    Or if its a homework question state the exact requirement - I'm guessing here.

  • Using a random image generator in a frameset [was: "I'm a photographer, not a web designer!"]

    I've been designing my own website for some years now using dreamweaver.  I love the ease of use and simplicity it offers, however I know nothing of designing web pages.  I know what I want but I just don't exactly always know how to get there.  I am currently trying to have a random image generator on my landing page, which is a frameset.  I've tried several codes that I've found online and have had no success, at all mind you, with any of them.  I'm sure that I am doing something very simple wrong with my design but just can't figure it out.  Unfortunately I am a photographer which makes me a visual person, so yes, if you can help me you'll have to draw a picture for me, or at least hold my hand and walk me through the steps.  Sorry, I know I'm high maintenance.
    My site is all frameset based.  I have a 'mainFrame' that all other links in the other frames load to.  So I am assuming that my code for the image generator should go in the body of the mainFrame.  I have even copied and pasted all the code from some of the help I've found, downloaded a cfm to try, all to no avail.  Con someone spell it out for me, or better yet, draw me a picture.

    My site is all frameset based.
    That's a tragedy.  Frames, once popular in the 90's are almost never used anymore.  In fact, the W3C saw fit to drop frameset support from HTML 5.
    Why Frames are Evil:  http://apptools.com/rants/framesevil.php
    Instead of Frames or Framesets, consider using Templates (DWTs) or Server-Side Includes (SSIs)
    Guidance  on when to use DW Templates, Library Items and SSIs -

  • Multiple HTML-files in one stack / link another HTML-file in a stack

    Hi,
    I want to integrate a webapp (html/js) into a stack of a dps-folio. All the HTML works fine ... all no problem, but at clicking the first link on the initial HTML-document the next (local) HTML-File is opened in a slider with a "ready"/"Fertig"-bar at the top. But I want, that all html files are seamlessly loaded in the same view.
    At this point i found: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/digitalpubsuite/using/WS67cb9e293e2f1f60-8ad81e812b10bfd837-80 00.html and i made the file "NativeOverlays.config" and moved it to the described location. After that, the behaviour was correct in the desktop-preview-app of the DPS, but it still fails on the iPad-Adobe-Viewer.
    How can i link between HTML-files without any interuption or sliding?
    Thank you!
    Christian

    Hi Tim,
    Thanks for replying. I have looked for "PDFBookBinder class" in xml publisher user guide for ver 5.6.2. I didn't get any reference of this text. Can you please guide me to a tutorial/link where i can get more information about this class.
    Also, i originally thought of similar to your second logic, as my design basis. Oracle process generates the xml file in output directory which i can get. What i didn't get is how do i "pick them up and merge" using publisher. Also, is there way to do this merging process using pl/sql ? Can you please give little more information on your second approach.
    My original plan of action is that i will create a report set in which i will call oracle seeded report for all 7 payrolls in a sequential manner. Then using the child requests of the report set i will get to 7 xml files generated by seeded oracle process. Then the piece i am not sure of , i will use those 7 files to generate a single xml file having payroll name as tree top for each output. Once single xml is ready, i can easily design a template and register the process to generate output as Excel.This process will not require me to actually change any data or do any calculation. It will only reformatting the feilds we see and abiity to see all 7 payroll at one time rather then entering these numbers manually into an excel to do analysis.
    Please provide your feedback, if you think above plan is not feasible or need corrections.
    Best Regards,

  • In Flash CS4 a generated html with swf file won't play swf

    Using Flash CS4 and having the Flash plug-in ver 10 on my PC, the generated html file will not play the swf in the browser.
    I noticed that the active-x javascript is now included in the header as well as the javascript portion in the body tag.
    But it won't play.  I get the typical blank window in IE with the "X" in the upper left corner.
    I don't have this problem with Flash CS3.
    Any ideas what may be going on?
    Thank you.

    I am having similar difficulty; mostly I am confused.
    I want to open a flash video file in a frame within a webpage.
    I have generated a Flash CS4 html and swf file. When loaded they play, but they play on a separate, full size web page, not in the frame where I want it.
    I then generated FLV and F4V files but that doesn't work.
    It appears that I need to insert the object and embed tags "for Flash Movies" in the html file.
    Once I do that, do I go back to only putting in the html and swf files and create a link to the html file to bring up the video in the target frame?
    What are the FLV files for?

  • Cannot view topics in generated HTML help

    I am using RoboHelp HTML Version 11 with Windows 7 Enterprise/Service Pack 1. My problem is with generating HTML help files. It appears to generate and I get the message that it ran successfully. It even generates the CHM file, but when I click on a topic, nothing happens. The topics don’t open at all. The TOC books do, but not topics. I do get a compiling warning  “The size of the stop file has to be limited in 512 bytes.” I have no clue what the stop file is. Did a quick search but didn’t find anything useful other than another user a few years ago who had the same issue and same warning. Unfortunately, I did not see resolution posted. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

    Hi there
    Ummm, where exactly is the CHM file that you are trying to open?
    Perhaps the link below will explain some things?

  • Change the styling of the generated html markup in ADF Faces

    Dear All,
    I just have some question on the generated HTML markup of panelStretchLayout component.
    Supposed I have this layout
    <af:panelStretchLayout id="cntDiv" dimensionsFrom="children" topHeight="auto"
      startWidth="0" endWidth="0">
         <f:facet name="top"/>
         <f:facet name="center"/>
         <f:facet name="bottom"/>
    </af:panelStretchLayout>If you look at the generated html markup it will create a div element with below styling
    <div id="pt1:cntDiv::t" style="position:relative;overflow:hidden;width:100%"/>
    <div id="pt1:cntDiv::c" style="position:relative;overflow:hidden;width:100%"/>
    <div id="pt1:cntDiv::b" style="position:relative;overflow:hidden;width:100%"/>My problem is with the overflow:hidden property. Is there a way or configuration to remove or override this property
    when the markup is generated?
    Use case:
    I wanted to use fancy Jquery sliding menu but everything gets messed up because of this css style property.
    I know you should not mix up JSF with client side components but I need to use those fancy javascript powered menu's.
    Is this possible? If so how?
    Thanks

    Hi there,
    You are saying that you want to use mouse-over. But I think you don't want to use that.
    I've been working with this, and I got it working. However........ Image this: "you have a table with 10 visible rows. You have some buttons below the table. After you select a row (lets say the third) , you might want to navigate to the details by "pushing" a button.
    What will happen with the selected row.......your mouse goes to the button... your mouse has to go over all the rows in the table.... The last row your mouse goes over will be selected.... and these details will be shown. Not the details of the row that you initially selected....
    If you still want this..... I might be able to help you.

  • How to generate html-code using csv input with JSP or JAVA???

    Hello,
    I want to read out a .csv-file and generate html-code dynmically with JSP in an EP6 Application. The problem is, that the csv-file can’t be located or openend.
    BTW if every knows a good tutorial or weblog for this, please post the link.
    It’s located in a par-archive under:
    />dist>files
    I tried various methods, in the doContent mehtod or with JSP. Everytime same result.
    Here part of the code I tried in the doContent():
    public class CSV extends AbstractPortalComponent
        public void doContent(IPortalComponentRequest request, IPortalComponentResponse response)
            String strWRoot = request.getWebResourcePath();
            String contentCSV="", line="";
            String linesep = System.getProperty("line.separator");
            File fileLoadCSV = new File(strWRoot+"/files/ma_infosysteme.csv");
            boolean exCSV = fileLoadCSV.exists();
            boolean reCSV = fileLoadCSV.canRead();
            int a=0;
            if(exCSV&&reCSV){
                response.write("ok");
                try {
                  BufferedReader inputCSV = new BufferedReader(new FileReader(fileLoadCSV));
                  while((line=inputCSV.readLine())!=null){
                    contentCSV=contentCSVlinelinesep;
                    a++;
                  inputCSV.close();
                catch(IOException ioex){
                    System.out.println("Fehler");
            else {
                response.write("not ok");
            response.write("<br>Wroot: "+strWRoot);
            response.write("<br>File: "+fileLoadCSV);
            response.write("<br>exists: "+exCSV);
            response.write("<br>read: "+reCSV);
            response.write("<br>Input: "+contentCSV);
    The Output is:
    not ok
    Wroot: /irj/portalapps/DHTML
    File: \irj\portalapps\DHTML\files\ma_infosysteme.csv
    exists: false
    read: false
    Input:
    So thanks to everyone who can give me a good hint.
    Bye.

    Without really looking too much into this it looks like the problem is with the way in which you are trying to open the file. I believe that when creating a File object you need to use a physical path. By using the getWebResourcePath() method you are retrieving the URL to this file and not the physical path name. There is another method (can't remember the exact name) called getPublicResourcePath() (or something similar) which will return the physical path to this file, i.e. c:\usr\sap\.....etc. If you try it this way it may well work
    I hope this helps

  • Dynamically generate HTML at runtime

    I've tried looking for an existing project that does this or something similar already, but the closest I got was an eclipse plug-in by IBM, which wont really help me since it wont work at runtime.
    Basically I want to be able to generate a HTML form dynamically, based on the XML in a WSDL. Anyone got any ideas?

    Wow, no one? Damn, must be harder than I thought.No, it's really not hard at all. At least generating HTML isn't hard. What IS hard is answering your question. You have already rejected some alternatives, but you don't tell us what they were or why you rejected them. So I could suggest you use XSLT, but I might be wasting my time because you already rejected that. Or you might have had a completely bogus reason for rejecting it, but I can't tell.
    So basically that's why you didn't get any answers. Not enough information to base an answer on, and enough information to decide not to answer.

    Apex does not as yet support PDF printing out of the box. At this stage your options are;
    1. Wait for the release of Apex 3.0 (evaluation instance is now available).
    2. Use FOP to generate PDF output (probably not for a novice user). See this link;
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/notes/technote_htmldb_fop.html
    3. Purchase a product such as PL/PDF

  • Java random number generator

    Hi does java have a random number generator. If it does can you point me to it please. Thank you.

    you can use "java.Math.random()" this function returns a value which is greater than or equal
    to 0.0 and less than 1.It returns a double value,so you can multiply by 10 and cast it to int,so that it
    can produce numbers between 0 & 9.Yes, you can do that. But, as stated before, java.util.Random has methods that are easier to use for random int values than using java.Math.random is for random int values. It all depends what the OP wants. The OP hasn't come back with additional questions, or to say that he found his answer. So, we don't know whether he has his answer (he has several options now!) or not. :)
