AAM SSL not working for welcome page

Hi all,
I have enabled SSL for my sharepoint server recently. After follow the procedure to insert cert in IIS, add binding and add AAM mapping, there is an issue when accessing the site URL with https, the server will return a http welcome page. If I browse with
https welcome page and browse arround, it won't redirect back to http.
For example:
https://portal.abc.com --> http://portal.abc.com/SitePages/index.aspx
https://portal.abc.com/community/asia --> http://portal.abc.com/community/asia/SitePages/Index.aspx
https://portal.abc.com/SitePages/index.aspx --> https://portal.abc.com/SitePages/index.aspx
https://portal.abc.com/community/asia/SitePages/Index.aspx --> https://portal.abc.com/community/asia/SitePages/Index.aspx
How can I force it keep using https during the redirection?

This is by design behavior. AAMs are a nice feature, but realistically, the idea is to push users towards one URL. If you have
http://domain.com,
http://www.domain.com, http://domain.org, etc, you would use AAMs to allow SharePoint to respond to requests on any of those domain names, but SharePoint will always use the Public URL for the zone in redirects. i.e.
any email alerts that go out, welcome page redirects, rediects from system pages, etc. So, if you have a scenario like this where maybe HTTP is only available internally, and HTTPS is required externally. either create a different zone by extending
the web application or change the Public URL to be the HTTPS which is available internal and external, with an internal mapping for the HTTP. This will push users to move towards only using SSL, but allows for HTTP to be recognized.
I will say, it is unusual that you would allow HTTP once you've got SSL set up though. I would just change the public URL and stop accepting HTTP altogether.

Video Posting Not Working for One Page - Working fine on others...

I have a page created using iWeb that features a video, however the video will not load properly when the page is opened.
here is a link to the page where the video DOES NOT work:

I published the page using homepage and the video works, here is a link to the page where the video DOES WORK:

As anyone can clearly see, the quality of the homepage created site is not nearly as good as the iWeb created site and therefore I would much prefer the iWeb site to work.
So far I have tried renaming the video, creating a new page in iWeb, creating a new site in iWeb, and re-encoding the video and using the new encode.
So far none of these solutions has worked. Does anyone have any advice/experience with this or similar problems?
And just for the record, I'm using the latest version of iWeb, 1.1.2.

At the very least, you should take the last slash off the end of that URL above....otherwise it won't work... like this...

To better shield you from making errors like this, you should focus on using the shortest URL possible to get to your page. For your situation with multiple sites, you can use this general URL format...
http://web.mac.com/username/iWeb/sitename , which would yield...
http://web.mac.com/minorstrachan/iWeb/Surviving
That should fix your problem.

Why does clicking the reload icon and F5 key not work for certain pages. Thanks in advance. Any help is appreciated. :)

Cliffs:
-Open new tabs from original page.
-Clicking reload icon or hitting F5 will not work on new tabs, but works on original page.
-Can "right click" reload tab or all tabs, but reload icon and F5 won't work.
-Been using FF3.6 for months, never a problem. Just started happening 2 days ago. Updated to FF4, but problem still remains.

ExecuteWithParams not working in welcome page

Hello everyone, I have build an application using ADF & JDev 11.1.2.3.0, When user performs a successful log-in he is redirected to the welcome-page of my application (lets say Page1). In Page1 I have some buttons that execute ExecuteWithParams operations. When I click in them nothing happens. It seems like no click was made. If I refresh the page and click again everything works fine. Does anyone know why does this happen? Thank you

Trasnferpage is not working for custom page in peopletool 8.52

Hi all,
We are upgrading to peopletool 8.52.
Issue : Record filed people we are using transferpage function to redriect to cutom page (standard page). But page keep processing not transfering to page... Same is working in peopletool 8.51
We have all persmission in place for that page.

Is the page in the same component from where you want to do the transfer?
Are you sure this is not a secondary page?
Which PeopleCode event is used to do the transfer?
Can you post the PeopleCode command that you are executing?

When I click "remember my user name" for web pages, it does not work for web pages - I have to login after every restart (eg Hotmail)

On websites I visit daily – newspapers, Hotmail, etc, even though I have clicked "remember me on this computer", it does not work. I have to log in every time I have restarted my computer (Mac OSX 10.5.8). Also, this may be related. I have iGoogle as my home page, but "themes", location, widgets, etc are not saved when I shut down.

* Such details are stored in a cookie.
* You need an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep that cookie, especially for secure websites and if you let cookies expire when Firefox closes
* Make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"
Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and password exceptions.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

Navigation on CR not working for 3+ pages on IIS

I have a C# project that uses Crystal reports. When running locally, I can navigate normally for reports with more than 2 pages. When running from the web server, it navigates to page 2, but after that, clicking next reloads page 2.
I tried the solutions posted online, moving the code from page_init to page_load, this fixed it on local platform, but not on IIS web server. So I am guessing there is something missing with the Crystal Reports set up on the server.
Saving the report as PDF shows all 3 pages, navigation doesnt show errors or anything, just reloads page 2 again

Thanks for the info, If i have a report with more than 2 pages, and try to save it as PDF, all the pages show up.
I've tried Fiddler, but I am not quite sure yet. I attached two images below of the result after clicking next when already on page 2, one when running from the server (still shows current page as page 2). The second when run locally, from visual studio where it works normally
I have no idea why its working locally but not from the server. Any ideas would be very helpful

SharePoint 2013 "Help Menu" not working (Sorry, the page you're looking for can't be found)

The Built in SharePoint 2013 Help Menu (?) on our Enterprise Farm for both the sites and Central
Admin does not work.
On Central Admin help the error comes back as: "Sorry, the page you're looking for can't be found".
The site collections Help menu gets the error :
"Unfortunately, help seems to be broken...
There aren't any help collections in the current language for the site you're using."
We have installed on all servers in the farm:

We are only using Default English (US) language packs.
In the directory of
Directory of C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\15\HCCab\1033
there are cab files.
There are no pending upgrades on any SharePoint or SQL server, all other SharePoint components are working
normally.
Any ideas or suggestions?

I'm interested in getting the local help to work while this is offline, I saw the following in an article, did you do this and it still does not work for you?

The Help Link from the Application Pages Does not Work for Peoplesoft Campus Solutions 9.0

Hi everyone.
I have a problem, I have been trying to set up the Help Link from the Application Pages for Peoplesoft Campus Solutions 9.0 according to the instructions given in the Document: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17566_01/epm91pbr0/eng/psbooks/EnablingtheHelpLinkfromApplicationPages.pdf , (referenced in the Doc ID 1289101.1, E-PB: How to Set Up the Context Sensitive Help with Hosted PeopleBooks using Universal Linking).
I follow the instructions of that document carefully:
I go to: PeopleTools -> Web Profile -> Web Profile Configuration
    2. Then I choose the Web Profile: "Development".
    3. Then Change the value for the Help URL field by entering the following URL format: http://www.oracle.com/pls/topic/lookup?id=%CONTEXT_ID%&ctx=hrcs90r5 , the ctx parameter selected is the one that correspond to the Campus Solutions (hrcs90r5) according to the Product Line Code Table (ULinkID) especified in the mentioned document.
    4. Stop the Web Domain and Clear cache.
    5. Start the Web Domain again.
After setting up the Web Profile Configuration I test the help links, thas is why I click in the Help link in any Peoplesoft CS 9.0 Application Page (modify a person), but the next error message appears: "We're sorry, the topic you requested was not found.".
I tried many combinations with the ctx parameters URL but it does not work yet.
I did the same test, but this time using the Help URL field with a HRMS ctx parameter by entering the following URL format: http://www.oracle.com/pls/topic/lookup?id=%CONTEXT_ID%&ctx=hcm92pbr5 , and It works fine !!!
According to the previous test you realize that It works with HRMS ctx parameter but not with Campus Solutions 9.0 ctx parameter, Does anybody know what else can I do ? Am I doing anything wrong or missing? or maybe the Oracle's ctx parameter for Campus Solutions URL It is broken simply.

2799444 - The page you are testing with appears to be a Workforce Administration page. Is that correct?
The CS PeopleBooks would only work for CS pages, e.g.: try navigating to Main Menu > Campus Community > Personal Information > Add/Update a Person
Also, you can use multiple ctx parameters:
E.g.: http://www.oracle.com/pls/topic/lookup?id=%CONTEXT_ID%&ctx=hrcs90r5&ctx=hcm92pbr5&ctx=pt852pbh2
This way the help would work for the HR related pages like Workforce Administration, Campus Solutions pages like Campus Community and also PeopleTools pages like Web Profile Configuration. Hope this clarifies your question. Thanks!

I have an older iMac 5,1 and the disc drive no longer works. I was hoping that I could the Apple USB super drive as a replacement, but the info on the super drive page says compatible with iMac 2012 or later. Does anyone know why it would not work for me?

A reply to similar question (Q & As , in product page Apple Store) says:
"...dissable the internal reader hardware from devices setup. Then plug the external usb superdrive and that's it." Answered by Enrique T from Lima Oct 25 2013.
If you can locate an external Apple USB 'Air" superdrive for earlier model MacBook Air, that should work. The newer one for the Air is the same as for iMac, now.
You may be able to use other brands of external USB optical drive with your older intel-based iMac, as some of them function capably. A few should also be able to see system discs or other bootable utilities on DVD.

Autofill in Google Toolbar does not appear to be working with Firefox 4 - It aways gives the message "Autofill not available for this page". This is happening on pages I have used Autofill on before upgrading to FF4 from Firefox 3.5.x

i did not see a solution posted - I tired what I read. Going back to an old version may solve the problem but it is a stupid solution so I have yet to do that.

"Include Header Row in Subsequent Pages" is not working for table

Hi,
I'm using version 8.1.2.3337.1.509884.
The pagnation feature "Include Header Row in Subsequent Pages" is not working for any table in my design. ( the check-box can not be checked no matter how many times I clicking it)
I put such table already in a flow bodypage.
Any similar issue reported?
Any suggestions?

I totally understand that I have to check the checkbox "Include Header Row in Subsequent Pages".
My problem is that, although I can see that checkbox, and it's not grey-out, I can not tick it. See below screenshot, with the red-cycle mark.
You can try with above file.

Page-up/down not working for scrolling in grid (4.0EA1)
