AB AP (BDC) to launch 3rd party printing application

Hi all,
i intend to create a BDC program to generate PDF file.
Unfortunately, due to system constraint (4.6B), unable to convert SAP document directly to PDF in the system (using FM) so have to use a 3rd party software.
currently i have a 3rd party software for creating PDF from using print function. what i have in mind is to use the BDC program to print the SAP document through local printer, which will in turn launch the 3rd party software. this will pop-up a window promtping for name of PDF file to be created in local drive (eg, C:\)
I would like to seek advises from experts, how can i perform the BDC to launch the printing option (LPD) in SAP and enter the desired PDF file name in the pop-up window, and pass back the file name back to the BDC session.

If you are requirement is to print a document to the local printer, try generating a spool for the document.
Use the spool number for FM: 'RSPO_OUTPUT_SPOOL_REQUEST'
          CALL FUNCTION 'RSPO_OUTPUT_SPOOL_REQUEST'
            EXPORTING
              device           = <device name>
              spool_request_id = <spool number>.

HRFORMS and Downloading for a 3rd Party Print Service.

I was wondering if someone could help.
We are currently testing our printing of the NEW HRFORM for GB. This has been created in "FORM BUILDER" format
We print the forms in the back ground and this creates a spool, but the spool contains Part List of PDF Spool.
We use a 3rd Party Print provider and would like to Secure FTP the actual PDF File to them, but cannot download this file.
Anyone got any ideas on how this PDF containing the Payslips be downloaded.

Loftware and Adobe formatters are provided within ME. However, as I know there is capability to develop custom formatter class and incorporate it into the application. It is the way how the print output file can be created in another format.

3rd Party Email Application for CF

I know there are 3rd party email applications for CF ... Can
anyone point me to them and/or let me know if they have worked
better. I'm looking for more power with email (tracking, sending,
routing, etc).

Yeah, that might be to much. Normally, CF will directly send
to your mailserver (usually IIS mail services) and if something
goes wrong your only options reside in looking at the CF logs if
you're logging mail. But I know there are some third party apps
that do more tracking/resending then send to your mail server (and
or better bulk mail processing). In your case you've just handled
it more complexly by using an Exchange Server. That will be
overkill for me plus a good amount of time learning and installing
(not to mention price tag).

What is the best 3rd party print API available with rich print capabilities

Our SWING based application is 6 years old and we have been using a third party print API that was available at that time.
As it is a very old API, all the print features are not available and it provides just a minimal print features. Now we are thinking of migrating to a best available print API.
What is the best third party print API available with robust print capabilities? OUR COMPANY IS READY TO SPEND SOME BUCKS TO BUY ANY ROBUST THIRD PARTY PRINT API.

Are there any 3rd party tools, which do Cloud Readiness Assessments for on-premises Applications. I am looking for names of any such tools, if they exist, which thoroughly analyse on-premises applications, and generate detailed reports on whether the
application is ready for moving to the cloud (and why?), or if it needs some changes before moving (which changes?), or if the application needs major changes (which?) or cannot be move to cloud in its present form. The cloud here could be Azure (1st pref)
or AWS (2nd pref).

3rd party Java Application Cannot connect to inter...

3rd party application like gmail, orkut or 160by2 which are java ME application cannot connect to internet in my Nokia 2700 classic, when connecting it only prompts "Application wants use Network. Allow?" like this, I press the allow button still it cannot connect to the internet, my Operamini and all other nokia apps are working correctly.. Please Help..

These apps might not be compatible with your 2700 even though it's installed.

Unable to open files from 3rd party websites/applications

Hi all,
My new macbook arrived with QT 7.0.4, I used it perfectly for a week with no problem, but now after carrying out a 'software upgrade' via system preferences to QT 7.1.1 I now find that Quicktime will not open hardly anything!!!! Not bad considering Apples information at the download window states that 7.1.1 was implemented to fix bugs that prevented QT from opening files in 3rd party applications. Whats going on?.......
In the mean time I've had to carry out a system reboot to go back to QT 7.0.4 and now its back to how it should be. What version of Quicktime 7 am I going to have to wait for before this issue if rectified?

Export img's from aperture for 3rd party printing

I am trying to figure out how to export photos (RAW and jpg) from my Aperture library to be able to submit jpg files to Costco Printer Center, for example.
In iPhoto, you clearly just hit export, and tell it how good of a copy you send to whatever location you choose.
In Aperture, it appears there are more settings.
I am printing proofs and also creating a high resolution disk from the files so they may print to maximum size allowed by the resolution my camera captured. It seems in Aperture, it is really easy to "fool" a file reader into thinking there is more data in there than there really is by just saying do 350 dpi at whatever size, for example. Or 800dpi at whatever size.
I want accurate resolution and full resolution. The last time I exported since I wasn't sure, I just reopened it in iPhoto to export. But, I am trying to transition to Aperture and really do not want the added step as I know there is a setting that fits my needs, I just don't know for sure what it is as the default says 72dpi for Original size, which sounds off to me. 300dpi sounds more right, but again, I am not sure how I am suppose to have this set.

P.S. iPhoto has some export plug-ins (e.g. Shutterfly), but last I checked, didn't have Costco. Is Aperture the same way? This is why I export to a folder in my documents folder and then upload from there as there isn't a way to easily access via Finder the files to upload to Costco. (PSE9 has an export function to Costco if you bought your PSE at Costco, but if I use that then I am sending the pics to PSE9 to then export to Costco... not really a savings of time there either.)

One additional question:
I did try to turn the auto correct off on a few pics sent to Costco. And also sent the few pics again with the auto correct on. The ones with it off seemed worse. I remembered after the fact that I needed to do some profiles... and, I don't think I've calibrated my iMac I bought last fall.
So, even if I hadn't committed all these blunders and everything was profiled to a T, would the people receiving the disk be able to send the files on the disk, let's say to Walgreens on auto-correct or whatever they decide to do, and receive the same results I would from Costco?
Or would it be better in the long run to give them generic files that are planned to be auto-corrected by whichever print center and not go through all the hassle of profiling?
I hope my question makes sense.

I know in PS6 you can create new shortcuts and make up one for each filter - can you do anything similar from LR5?

you might try a macro / keyboard recorder. I use autohotkey (www.autohotkey.com). If you have selected one or more items in the grid view and press ctrl-shift-n this script:

opens the files in the 7th external editor. Of course the number depends on your installed editors and might change with additional editors.

Programatically launch 3rd party plugins

Are there any api commands that can be used to launch a plugin?
We are not wanting to use action manager to create and copy scripts.

Using automation or scripts is the only way to call a plug-in programatically.

Printing in Iphoto 6 Vs. 3rd Party Printing Program?

Why is printing in Iphoto 6 seem to degrade or print out a picture worse than when you use Canon's Easy Photo or Photoshop? The pictures come out darker and not as true as when you use the other programs. It would be convenient to use just Iphoto for everything. Any suggestions or help?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. A lot has to do with color profiles and how iPhoto handles them. Canon's software probably uses the canon I've not gotten a handle on that either and use Photoshop from within iPhoto to do my most of my printing. I have PS set up to use the sRGB color profile as that's what is used by Apple for books, calendars, etc. iPhoto may or may not use the profile depending on how you have the preferences set up (Advanced section of iPhoto's preferences). As I said, since I do most everything via PS I just print from it also.

Cisco CAD agent automatically login to 3rd party web application

I am aware that Cisco UCCX CAD agents have the ability to launch a web application by configuring the web page within the UCCX Desktop Administrator. This is an excellent feature; however, I need to automate the login to the web application using CAD as well. Is there a way have CAD launch the application and push the user credentials required to login to the application as well once the agent logs into CAD?

This can be configured in CDA as either voice contact workflow or agent management workflow.

Why won't my .wav files show up in a 3rd party sound application after being exported as an omf file

Hi all, I've searched everywhere and can't find an answer, so hopefully someone out there will have mercy and help me!
I have Canon 7D footage (h.264 codec) and H4N Zoom audio (24bit 48khz .wav files) loaded into Premiere Pro CS 5. Editing on a Macbook Pro OS 10.6.8. I haven't added timecode.
My workflow, which I've done successfully several times in the past, is to sync the footage by creating individual sequences for each take (usually interview takes) and then bring in the audio and video and manually line/sync them up. I then link the two clips.
I then create a new sequence for my edit and then cut parts of the previously synced clips and then paste them into the sequence and edit away. After locking I export an omf (48khz, 24 bit, files as separate audio, aiff files, with 24frame handles). Then I import the OMF into Soundtrack Pro.
However this time, the majority of the sound clips do not show up in Soundtrack Pro timeline even though they are present in the omf folder as Aiff files. Normally you would think this was an issue with Soundtrack Pro, however one audio file did show up in Soundtrack Pro, but it was a sound file I had not linked to a video clip. Upon further investigation I found that that the audio clip that was not synced retained it's STE-014.wav name in the Premiere timeline. All the other audio I had synced to video had somehow taken on the video clip's MVI 0075 name.
I checked my old projects (the ones that I successfully exported to OMF) and even when I synced the audio and video, the audio retained it's STE.wav name. I don't know why the names changed; I did a test in my current project by cutting and pasting a synced clip at the end of the edit timeline and the audio retained it's STE.wav name. See pic.
After further tests, if the audio retains it's STE name it shows up in Soundtrack Pro (and Soundbooth as well), if it takes on the video MVI name it doesn't. I've tried exporting as an AAF and a Final Cut Pro XML file and it still doesn't work. I've tried unlinking and relinking the clips as well as making the audio offline and then relinking but still nada. I also cleaned the media cache to no avail.
If I render and replace the audio in the edit timeline, the name doesn't change, but the audio file does show up in Soundtrack Pro and Soundbooth, but unfortunately I need handles to edit the sound so this doesn't help me much.
Any ideas? and thanks!

Yes, it has always worked in the past. The past projects audio clips do not change names. I obviously did something different in this current project, but unfortunately I have no idea what.
