ABAP Proxy - No message in PI

Hi experts,
We are developing a scenario using ABAP Proxy to send an assynchronous message to PI 7.3.
The problem is that the message is sent by ABAP code, but is not shown at SXMB_MONI.
The routing objects were created at Integration Directory, but seems that PI is not processing the message sent by the proxy.
Any idea about what may be wrong?
Edited by: David Tiago Conceição on Jan 5, 2012 2:13 PM

Hi David,
you should catch exceptions and print them out like:
data: l_sys_exception type ref to  cx_ai_system_fault,
      l_error_text type string.
CATCH cx_ai_system_fault INTO l_sys_exception.
        l_error_text  = l_sys_exception->errortext.
        write l_error_text.
In addtion monitor the ERP / PI queues at SMQ1/SMQ2 - may be will find the message there.
Depending from the results we go further, may be the destination to PI does not work or proxy configuration is wrong or something else.

Udo

  • Missing asyn abap proxy client message in ECC

    Hi,
I have a asyn scenario which an abap program will send data from ECC to PI using abap proxy client. My problem is i notice some of the message was no send to PI. Checked in PI SXMB_MONI no message was found. Any idea where the message was stuck? I check on smq1 in ECC also found nothing in the queue.
    Thanks.

    Hi ,
KIndly check with the abap program if its thrwing any dump . If every thing is fine with ABAP program then might be its issue of RFC destination . check with transaction SPROXY are u able to connect and your sender interface is reflecting there if yes then double click on your interface open the proxy andthen click on GOto and click on connection test if nay issue is in connection then it will display the error here .might be some rfc DESTINATION is missing or authnetication error .

  • ABAP Proxy Inbound message does not call generated method

    Hi,
we tried to generate a ABAP Proxy for a customer demo. It just should retrieve some data and write them to a database table.
the generation and activation of the proxy was without errors. If we call the check function the method works fine.
But if we receive data from XI via the regarding interface it looks as if the execute-method of the generated class is not called. We can see the message in SXMB_Moni, but nothing is written to the db table.
    Does someone have any idea?

    Hi Peter,
There will be some error in the Proxy Side.
Check this in Transaction Code-SXMB_MONI of Application System(R/3 etc) not in the XI system.
There may be some communication(http etc) issues.
    Also check this -

Hope this helps to findout what is the error.

  • ABAP proxy no messages in PI 7.1

    HI All,
I developed a outbound Proxy from SAP to PI to JDBC. When I execute the Proxy Program in SAP it generated the XML message which i can see in SXMB_MONI in SAP .
I did not see this message in PI 7.1 SXMB_MONI. So I went back to SAP and checked SMQ2 Inbound queue and found the message and activated the queue.
I am surprised that I did not find this in outbound queue SMQ1 in SAP .
Am i doing something wrong here ? This is supposed to be going from SAP to PI to JDBC.
Also why am I not able to see messages in SXMB_MONI in PI 7.1 ?
    Please advice.
    Teresa

    >In SAP i saw the message in SMQ2 Inbound queue in SAP when I am trying to send the message from SAP to PI .
SMQ2 - messages that means SAP sends the message out (inbound service interface messages). So you see it.  That is right.
Have you done SLDCHECK or SLDAPICUST transaction in the ECC to check whether proxy communication setup exist between ECC and PI. If there is proxy configuration issue, you message will not leave SAP. Please check that first.
Check in PI using the transaction code SMQ1. See the messages are arriving in PI or not.
RWB: You can pick message monitoring, go to integration engine monitoring and see whether messages are reaching or not.  Since sender adapter is not required, you will see the request message directly going to integration engine for this. Also if the message is successful you will see messages on the adapter engine for the jdbc.

Yes this could be the reason, because at the time of Receiver Determination it tries to send the message to both the interface. Are both the scenario Proxy to XI??
Try to change the Message Interface in IR and accordingly change in ID also and then try.

  • Synchronous ABAP Proxy

I have the following Synchronous Interface:
SOAP <-> PI <-> ABAP Proxy (ECC)
Message is sent to PI via the SOAP Sender adapter, PI maps this to an ABAP proxy call. The response is then return via PI to the SOAP Adapter.
Every thing seems to work fine. However, the response message does not seem to be going back into PI. I can see the response payload on ECC (via SXMB_MONI) but it doesnt go any further than that.
Can anybody help me with this?

    Woohooo...It worked!
You were right. As soon as I cleared the inbound queue it worked
    Thanks.

    Thanks & Regards
    Kavitha.

    hi,
    From th previous thread...
Proxies are nothing but a mechanism to shift the application logic from the XI server onto the sender or reciever system so as to reduce the effort on the side of XI.Depending upon where the proxies are generated ,it is differentiated as client proxy ( sender ) and server proxy ( receiver ) .In R3 system having WAS 6.2 and above its already has an inbuilt small IE so the proxy generation is favoured.
Proxies  are interfaces which will get executed in the application system. They can be created only in the system from message interfaces using the proxy generation functions.
The biggest advantage of the proxy is that it always by passes the Adapter Engine and will directly interact with the application system and Integration engine - so it will and should give us a better performance.
For your case...you have to create client proxy..
To know more about client proxy see the below link...

  • Create a proxy from abap with 3 messages parts

    Hi,
I am trying to create a proxy from a WSDL file with 3 messages parts:
    <wsdl:message name="executeSoapIn">
        <wsdl:part name="farmName" type="s:string"></wsdl:part>
        <wsdl:part name="requestXML" type="s:string"></wsdl:part>
        <wsdl:part name="farmProps" type="s0:Map"></wsdl:part>
      </wsdl:message>
This is not possible because it is not fulfilling the SOAP 1.1 standard, so when I try to create the proxy I am getting an error, so no proxy is created.
My question is: Is is possible to create a ABAP proxy manually so the proxy would have the 3 parameters of the messages part?
    Thanks in advance.
    Eduardo.

    Hi,
The problem is that i need to create a proxy with 3 parameters in one of its methods, that is, the method SOAPEXECUTEIN will need the parameters (farmName, requestXML, farmProps), as shown in the piece of code of the WSDL file. I can not do it because the system did not allow me, it allows just one parameter.
Is it possible to create the proxy in some way that allows me the method with the three params?
    Thanks Aamir.
    Cheers.

  • Message flow in SAP PI 7.31 JAVA only for ABAP Proxy synchronous scenario with Oracle DB

    Dear Experts,
I am working on a synchronous scenario Sender ABAP Proxy <===> SAP PI 7.31 JAVA only <===> Oracle Database.I have successfully
configured all the proxy configurations as well both Sender SOAP and JDBC receiver channels are showing no error when pinged from
    Cc monitoring in NWA.
1.During testing at Tx SPROXY , I am triggering a message and after 5 minutes I receive an PARSING error message with 2 messages in ECC
    local IE i.e. Tx SXMB_MONI.
Note : In NWA , I can see only 1 message that too in cancelled status.
2.Seeing the trace of the messages I assume that the messages have not moved from sender ECC system. I am still confused with flow of message
from the Message Audit log. Audit log of error messages.Could any one share the full Audit log of a successful message generated in SAP PI 7.31 JAVA only.
3.I observed that the QIN Scheduler status in ECC is in INACTIVE status. There is no queue id for 2 messages generated in ECC. Does
it should in ACTIVE status in Tx SMQR..
    Regards
    Rebecca

    Hi Thomas,
    Valuable inputs..
    1. Since I don't have any audit log for successful message, would you be able to share referring to the
below screenshot whether the message was put into receiver JDBC adapter and JDBC adapter tried to retrieve the Select response from Oracle Database.
2.I have done some setting in Advance mode of the receiver JDBC to increase the time out and other parameters as per SAP note but still the issue is same. If you perhaps have some experience in such scenarios, please share some input so that I can ask the Oracle Database administrator exactly what is required from our side.
3.Regarding the slow response from Oracle , there was some suggestion that the datatype of the request and response should match the column name of the Oracle database. I did that.. Do you have any more suggestion that may be hampering the generation of the response message from the Oracle like SAP note or document.

  • Adapter specific message attributes in ABAP proxy

    Dear all,
i have a short question. I have a file to ABAP server proxy scenario. When picking up the file i write communication data from the adapter in the message header using dynamic configuration and route the message to a abap proxy.
My question is: Do i have access to the header data in the proxy, or do I have to make a message mapping and put the header data into the payload of the message?
    Kind regards

  • Response message error in queue when using ABAP proxy

I am using an abap proxy for the first time, and some of the response messages are getting stuck in the sender's (R/3) inbound queue.  To resolve them, I have to either reset the status or execute the LUW.  Sometimes, this doesn't even work.
    Here is my "asynchronous" scenario:
    R/3 -> <proxy> -> PI -> <file adapter> -> File
The R/3 system that I'm using has not used PI before, so I'm thinking something is missing from the set-up on the R/3 side.  On the errors I finally do get to process, I get the following error in the SXMB_MONI on the sender (R/3) side (the PI SXMB_MONI shows successful).  Can someone help me understand what a response message is and how it is different from an acknowledgement?  Also, help me to understand what could be causing the response messages to get stuck in the R/3 queue.

Ultimate testing tool for services is soapUI (Freeware)
    http://www.soapui.org/
If you can invoke your service from soapUI and you receive a response, then PeopleSoft is working fine and the request handling in the calling system is incorrect.
Try downloading soapUI and try invoking your service (not that a fan of SendMaster).

  • Build delay in messages to abap proxy without BPM / mapping

    Hi everyone,
The abap proxy is receiving messages from PI, is having errors when receiving big loads of messages via PI.
The proxy lock's a table causing the next message to run in error.
The interface is not using BPM or a mapping.
    My question is:
What are the possibilities to configure a delay in PI ? (not using a mapping or BPM process)
The abap proxy need some time to process a message before it receives the next one.
    Br,
    Roy

    Hi,
    >>>The proxy lock's a table causing the next message to run in error.
if you use async messages with fault messages correcty you can
restart those abap proxies just like IDOCs - and you can schedulerestarting that too
so this is nothing bad - just schedule the restarting and they will get processed

    Hi Jawed,
HOLD means you have given QoS as EOIO in sender channel and the first message got failed and hence all messages are waiting..

  • Error handling using fault message type in outbound synchronous ABAP proxy

    Hi,
We've a scenario, outbound synchronous ABAP proxy to synchronous SOAP receiver. The requirement is to send multiple records in a single rquest and get response for all the records sent (in the same response message).
Say if I send 10 records from ECC, I should get 10 records as response from SOAP to ECC. But the problem here is, there could be some invalid requests, for which an invalid error status code should be sent as part of response.
    Source Structure
    Req_Proxy
        req (0..unbounded, string)
    Response Structure
    Resp_SOAP
      Resp (0..Unbounded)
respString (0..1, String) (carries the actaul response message)
status code (0..1, String) (carries the status of the response, for ex, 001 (successful), 002 (error))
And now we are planning to make use of Fault Message Type, to track the errors from SOAP (status code 002). But, we are not sure on how to track this for all the requested records. Is it possible to track the errors for all the requested records in a singe call using fault message type? For eg if 8 records are successful and 2 are invalid, then we should get 10 records in response 8 for valid and 2 for invalid accordingly.
    Please calrify.
    Thanks.
    Rohit

For eg if 8 records are successful and 2 are invalid, then we should get 10 records in response 8
for valid and 2 for invalid accordingly.
Check if you can modify the WSDL structure to include an error node that would get populated incase of invalid entries....this would mean that you get the success and failure details in the single message....also at the proxy-end make the necessary change in your DT.....may be then you do not need to use the fault message...

    Abhishek.
