ABAP Proxy to XI scenario with no Receiver

Hi,
I am working on a scenario where R/3 sends a request to XI through ABAP Proxy and expects response synchronously.   I am calling a UDF Java function within a mapping to get response, so there is no receiver, per se.
Can someone guide me how to map this scenario?
REQUEST_DT: Field1, Field2
RESPONSE_DT : Resp_Field1
Grpahical Mapping: Pass Field1, Field2 to a UDF function which populates Resp_Field1.  This Resp_Field1 is sent back to R/3 synchronously for the Request.
I hope someone can help me.
Thanks

    Hi experts,
My scenario is synchronous abap proxy to sysnchronous soap. for proxy I am using business system name as ERDCLNT220 and soap business system name as BS_HRS_DEV
    configuration steps are
    1. only client proxy to soap scenario I have done.
communication channels: only receiver soap adapter. no proxy sender communication channel for client proxy.
Already we have RFC destination connection and connection type H for proxy to xi.
1.Is it required RFC destination connection for xi to server proxy.
2.Is it required receiver proxy communication channel for server proxy?.

Your exception message shows problem at the webservice side.
    Check the following:
    a) you need two mappings one for proxy req to soap request and other soap response to proxy response
    b) You need to create service interfaces both sender and receiver synchronous .
    c) communication channel  QOS is best effort for both sender and receiver
    d) I dont see problem in soap configuration. Bcuz you are able to ping and while getting response from the method getPerson it fails.
    f) See your SOAP response structure matches with WSDL provided.
    g) You can also test outside PI.. I meant testing via soap client tool like SOAPUI  for that web service. So that you know whether problem exists on the target system or not.
    Hope that helps.

  • PCK XI adapter - ABAP Proxy  to File Scenario How to?

    Hi there,
We want to implement the following sceanrio; SAP ABAP outbound proxy to Flat-File scenario. A (sender) SAP system will trigger an outbound proxy which will send outbound data to a (receiver)file system via the PCK and Central Integration Server.
SAP (ABAP proxy) -> PCK-> XI -> File System
My question is; The PCK documentation suggests that the XI adapter included in the PCK can only be used to send/forward messages to the central integration server.
Does that means that one cannot use the same XI adapter on the PCK to redirect ABAP proxy messages to the Integration server?
    Thanks,
    Roberto

The PCK cannot be used as a replacement for XI Integration server. PCK is only a type of adapter engine that can run independantly. It is intended for partners who cannot use XI server. So PCK can not in itself execute interfaces. It can just forward all the messages received to the XI Integration server. PCK can only run your sender or receiver adapter all the mappings can only be executed on the integration server. So PCK just converts from the native format to XI format and forwards to the Integration Server.
Hope that carifies your question .

  • ABAP proxy based on XSD with specific requirement for NAMESPACE

    Hi
    I'm using PI 7.11
My scenario is an ABAP proxy from SAP backend to filereceiver. NO mapping.
The SI is based on an XSD from our customer, which have a targetnamespace, so a namespace requirement of six chars namely "SBSFL1:nnn".
When sending the message from our SAP backend - SAP ALWAYS ignore this targetnamespace SBSFL1 and replaces it with nr1:nnn. Why? When taken the same XSD into xmlspy and generating sample XML et works great all nodes/fields have a prefix of SBSFL1 ....
Why is PI 7.11 ignoring this targetnamespace requirement. I was hoping this was possible to archive WITHOUT any XSLT mapping or other "tricks" in the MAPPING runtime (i want to avoid any mapping because of performance)
Hope for som help, since this is a major issue
    Cheers and thx in advance

    > Why is PI 7.11 ignoring this targetnamespace requirement.
Because there is no standard having a specific namespace prefix.
It does not make any difference which namespace prefix is used.
Unfortunatly some developers don't about the XML standards and expect a specific namespace prefix, like PIDX.
    Blame them

  • ABAP proxy client sending to XI   and Receive the data back from the DB

    Hi
I am new to XI need a clarification on the following scenario
I have a scenarion where ABAP Proxy (Clinet) from ECC will be sending the data to Data base server via XI,  and needs to return the values back to ECC
    ECC -
    > XI/PI -
    > Remote server  (Database)
          <-- XI/PI <--
Can anyone give idea how can I develop this scenario.
I am sure I would be using the Proxy BADI to send the data from ECC to XI in Asyscrounous mode,
    Thanks
    PR

    Hi,
As you said the data will be sent asynchronously from BAPI to XI which means you will have to split up the scenario into two.
    First One -
Sender Proxy - XI - Receiver JDBC.
    Second -
Sender JDBC - XI - Receiver Proxy.
You can set a flag to"1" when you insert data into table. the run a query on the database which will fetch record whose flay is set to "1" and also simultaneously rest the flag to "0" to indicate that this record is already send to SAP.You can make use of stored procedures too.
Please award points if the reply is useful.

  • Proxy to SOAP scenario-With Attachment and Mapping

I have a scenario to be developed, it is a Proxy to SOAP sceanrio.
There are about 8 fields coming from Proxy.
Can we create an attachment from these fields.
Also we have to do a mapping of this attachment to a field in the target External Defination and also 2 fields of the 8 have to mapped to the other respective fields of the external defination.
All this has to be posted on a webservice through SOAP with
the 2 fields in payload and
the attachment in the attachemnt section of the message
    Could this be achieved?

In ABAP proxy you create a message with the two fields which you need for main SOAP message.
The attachment is created exactly how it is requested from web service.
You create a String with the XML (including tags) and do a codepage conversion to UTF-8 (or whatever is requested)
Note: The payload is created in UTF-8 automatically, the attachment is treated as binary.
You can also use a Java mapping for creating the attachment, if you have good Java skills, but I recommend to use program code for one purpose only on one place.

  • ABAP Proxy Generation on Interfaces with GDTs

    Hi all,
I created an aggregated data type with references to data types listed under the SAP GLOBAL SWCV within the namespace for the GDTs.
When I now try to generate an ABAP proxy in my backend system, I always get an error that these types cannot be generated because they have an other namespace.
Well, this message sounds logical for me, because this GDTs have to reside within an other (super) package(?), but how do I have to proceed with that?
From my point of view the GDTs delivered by SAP should already be generated within the ABAP Stack of the backend systems or they have to be automatically generated within a special package. When I try to generate it the system additionally wants to generate the GDT type references also with the custom prefix.
Does anyone have a good explaination on that?
    Thanx
    Olli

    Hi Ollie.
Have you got a link to somewhere where they mention this component?
The problem I have with this is that there is business related content in the SAPGLOBAL SWCV. If you browse it you will see some Employee data types which relates to CRM systems. If you install this component on let say a SRM box what will it do with these "unrelated" business types.
    Will these types be generatable?
Questions, questions...and finding answers is nearly impossible.
Anyway, what we did is to develop a Custom Common component which contains only datatypes. All other SWC's has this component as a dependancy. When we developed a new interface we would look for the datatypes in the SAPGLOBAL SWC (or the catalog) and copy it to the Common component.
We would then use the data types in the Common component to build the freeform data types in the other SWC's.
This way you still have only one place to maintain the global data types (in the common component).
    Nice to share ideas.

  • Pipeline error for abap proxy to IDoc scenario

    hi experts,
i am getting the following system error in moni for my proxy to idoc scenario.
    In error it shows :
"Receiver service cannot be converted into an ALE logical system"
but i have checked adapter specific attributes of both receiver
and sender sys and they both have logical systems ( SO this is not the problem)
    TRACE
    <Trace level="1" type="B" name="CL_XMS_MAIN-WRITE_MESSAGE_LOG_TO_PERSIST" />
      <Trace level="1" type="System_Error">Error exception return from pipeline processing!</Trace>
    pls suggest .
    Appropriate points will be awarded

    Hi,
Copy the payload from moni and test the mapping.
The error may be due to XML file generated by sender channel is not proper.

  • ABAP proxy client call PI with new client 120 in old business system

    Hi all
We have a requirement to call PI from ABAP client proxy in synchronous mode via a CRM client 120.
CRM client 100 is already configured in the Business system talked above but now we need the same business system to be configured for client 120 as well.
My question is If we go to the SLD and
    |-> Click on Business System
    |-> Add new client 120
Will it work or we need to do some extra configuration for communication channel.
Also please let me know how to configure Integration Directory for sender agreement, Receiver Agreement and the communication channel.
    Thanks in Advance.

Will it work or we need to do some extra configuration for communication channel.
    > since sender is client proxy you don't need to do anything in case of receiver proxy you will be needing reciver communication channel of XI adapter type .
for proxy based communication your application system(other than PI/XI) should be able to make a proxy call to XI or receive a call from XI .for this purpose you need to make some settings at R/3( or CRM level)

  • Proxy to JDBC Sync, with Idoc Receiver

    Hello all,
I have to set up following synchronous scenario.
    PROXY -> PI -> JDBC   |   JDBC -> PI -> PROXY
                                           JDBC -> PI -> IDOC
In other words, I need that the response from the JDBC Receiver adapter is sent back to R3 to an IDOC and the originating PROXY.
How can I achive this? I mean how can I send the synchronuos response back to the originating PROXY, and in the other hand send an asynchronous message to the IDOC.
This is a message with a large quantity of info, so I'm not sure what to use or how to use it.
    Thanks for your help.
    Felipe

    Hi Felipe
    PROXY -> PI -> JDBC | JDBC -> PI -> PROXY
    JDBC -> PI -> IDOC
The message to the IDOC need to be sent from response ?
    Is your proxy SYNC?
    Use a BPM for this
    1. receive the message from Proxy.(SYNC)
    2. Send it to JDBC (SYNC)
    3. Map the proxy request to JDBC request and JDBC response to Proxy response.
    4. Send the JDBC response to IDOC
    Thanks

  • Reg. Client(ABAP) Proxy to JDBC scenario

    Hi All,
I am working on a scenario of Proxy to JDBC. The scenario goes like this.....
SAP is the sender and I need to fetch data from the database table at the R/3 end and update in the legacy system at the receiver end .
Can anybody guide me apart from PI configuration, the settings need to be done at the R/3 end in the transaction sproxy i.e. the ABAP class and objects. Also let me know if I need to trigger the interface weekly once, is it possible to trigger it automatically by using ABAP  class and objects else I need to write an ABAP program in order to trigger the interface.
    Thanks for understanding in advance.

    Hi,
Can anybody guide me apart from PI configuration, the settings need to be done at the R/3 end in the transaction sproxy -
As Raj suggested please search on SDN, you will find lot of links on this.
Also let me know if I need to trigger the interface weekly once, is it possible to trigger it automatically by using ABAP class and objects else I need to write an ABAP program in order to trigger the interface. -
    >For this you need to write Abap class program and override method "Execute asynchronous" this will send the SAP R3 data to XI and then you have to configure job on R3 to run this program periodically as per your requirement.

  • Updated : ABAP Proxy to FTP scenario

    Hello All,
We have a service interface with the following structure where N1,N2,N3 are nodes with attributes within them.
    N1
       Attribute 1
       Attribute 2
    N2
       Attribute 3
       Attribute 4
    N3
       Attribute 5
       Attribute 6
    N4
       Attribute 7
       Attribute 8
We need to convert it into single flat file as follows
    Attribute 1 Attribute 2 Attribute 3 Attribute 4 Attribute 5 Attribute 6 Attribute 7 Attribute 8
Can the following be achieved using file adapter ?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Define your receiver message type as :
    DT_Rcv
      Row ..... 1..unbounded
        Attrb1
        Attrb2
        Attrb3
        Attrb4
        Attrb5
        Attrb6
        Attrb7
        Attrb8
In your receiver FCC, define the end seperator as new line character.
Another option can be java mapping, wherein in the map itself, you create the text file. Incase you go for this option and you are on PI 7.1, define the inbound service interface as XI3.0 compatible so that it can take a non xml structure.

  • Problem receiving acknowledgement: abap proxy == file adapter

    Hi experts,
I am developing an asynchrone interface using PI 7.0. The scenario is: SAP ==> FILE.
In SAP I have created an abap proxy in wich I requested an acknowledgement when calling from the abap code. In PI I have created an Integration Process with a receive step, and a send step. In de send step I am asking for a transport acknowledgement.
When I test the interface and I look in the SXMB_MONI in PI, I see the acknowledgement given back to the IP, but in the SAP backend system I don't receive anything in the abap proxy which had send the original message. In de SXMB_MONI from SAP I see a "?" Still awaiting  acknowledgement.
Can anyone help me with this scenario? I really need an acknowledgement from the file adapter in the calling abap proxy.
    Regards, Jeroen

You need to crate a REceiver Agreement for this sender...
The Integration Server sends an acknowledgment message back to the sender (CENTRAL_BACK). It uses the name of the sender system for logical and technical backward routing.
If the sender is addressed using an ABAP proxy, you must define a corresponding receiver agreement for this sender.

  • Problem with Configuration in Production ( ABAP Proxy - XI - FILE)

    Hi All,
I have a ABAP Proxy -> XI -> FILE scenario wich is working perfectly in DEV and QAS environment.
When the person responsible for transporting tried to transport the objects in QAS to PRD, the following error happened:
Direction of communication channel |BS_MA_FileServer_PRD | CC_File_PedidosServ_MA_FileServer_IA is incorrect.
Correct the direction or choose another communication channel
    BS_MA_FileServer_PRD - Business System (FILE)
CC_File_PedidosServ_MA_FileServer_IA  - My FILE Communication Channel
This was what the Basis person sent to me. I don't have access to know exactly what happened. And I really don't know what could be wrong or if maybe a component was created wrongly in Production.
    Hope you can help.
    Points will be given.
    tks.. Daniela

You have mentioned FILE is on the receiving side and ABAP proxy is on sender side.
But the error pasted by you clearly shows syntax of a Sender Agreement .
    For receiver agreement it should be |<Sender Service>| |BS_MA_FileServer_PRD | CC_File_PedidosServ_MA_FileServer_IA

  • Error with ABAP proxy

    Hi all,
I have an ABAP proxy - XI - Webservice scenario, in the XI side we are getting error saying input data not coming in. How to check weather proxy is triggering the actual payload or data?
There has been a change in the WSDL from the Webservices side, they have changed the data type, so we too updated the mapping in XI. So do we need to change anything in the ABAP program which triggers the proxy,
how do I check weather proxy is triggering data or not?
I want to see weather its problem with the ABAP trigger program.
    Thanks,
    Srinivas

    Hi ramakrishna,
Does R/3 side SXMB_MONI give successful chequered flag when the message is processed?
Because for correctly processed message, the data is being updated in the table, but I can't see the chequered flag on the R/3 side.
But for the wrongly processed ones its showing PL_TIMEOUT error and showing red flag on R/3 side, this is what I see on the R/3 side:
