ABAP QUERY (SAP QUERY) Coding problem?

Hi experts,
Can anyone tell me how to find what is the final internal table in SAP QUERY? I want to delete some unwanted records from my final internal table but I am unable to find it. please do help. Its urgent I am strugling from 3 days, to day I have to finish this task...
Help !!!!!

HI,
It is not the the internal tables but the structures have been filled for the tables you have declared in SAP QUERY
or defined using EXTRAS option.
in the application tool bar there is a button 'CODE' by using the 'Record Processing' event of this you can clear the fields you want.

To sum up, SAP queries are readymade programs given by SAP, which the user can use making slight modification like the slection texts, the tables from which the data is to be retrieved and the format in which the data is to be displayed.ABAP queries become imperative when there is no such SAP query existing and also when there is a lot of customizing involved to use a SAP Query directly.

ABAP Reports and SAP Query

Hi Experts,
I have question regarding ABAP Reports, SAP Query, and Transaction with variant. How are we securing one the above reports that we assign them through pfcg. We can secure custom program by custom transaction or define the auth group in S_PROGRAM auth object but in this case we have to assign SA38 in production. is that correct?
Please help me understand difference between the ABAP reports and SAP query. Is the ABAP reports same as Program or they are different.

Hi,
1) End user security (role matrix coordinate with process team)
This role Matrix design is most important where we can put restrictions and use SoD.
2) Secure Table (by auth group)
Table TDDAT and use of transaction se54 for security tables to right auth Groups. Secure s_tabu_dis, s_tabu_cli.
3) Secure program (as you said ABAP reports are referred to Program)
Use of table TPGP and program RSCSAUTH for assignment of groups to Program. SA38 Running of SA38 requires a minimum SUBMIT in user Action. A user having SA38 is dangerous as he/she is now enabled to run any report. Hence protection in Auth Group is needed. Verify each and every program is having authority check statement and Auth Group or not before assigning sa38. As you mentioned its best to avoid SA38 and create CUSTOM TXN for each report.
(We should also SECURE S_DEVELOP in Production properly along with ur points. Please Note).
4) Secure some batch jobs roles for batch job
Secure by s_btch* objects and less access to se36.
5) Create support roles for cutover activity during Go-live
That is always needed. Go ahead.
6) Emergency roles & IT roles for support
This is very much needed as a role of Mitigation and Fire Fighting for Temporary access. Ensure to enable ur audit parameters in RZ10 (rsau* sm20,RSLG* for sm21). Give emergency access but enable audit via sm19 and get audit reports from sm20 and sm21 immediately after the use of emergency access.
There are also other auth objects we need to be care ful which is a long list and hope every body ensures that (s_cts,a_admi,s_trans, tables ssm_cust, prgn,t000) etc and a host of others. Besh wishes. Let us know if any issue.

Hi,
Already there are some Infosets (tables) defined in that query.
Go to that infosets and add extra fields which are there in those tables
or add extra infoset(table) and link it to the existing table with the key, then add that table field.
No need to write the code.
Only thing is to select that field on to the Selection screen or on to the output is required.

AD Hoc Query
Definition
A Web item that enables you to create and change queries in a Web application on an ad-hoc basis.
Use
You can use the Ad-hoc Query Designer Web item in the Web Application Designer to structure Web applications in which you create or change queries. The Web item is as a tool for designing ad-hoc queries in a Web environment.
In particular it enables you to:
·        Create queries by assigning characteristics from an InfoProvider to rows, columns, filters, and free characteristics, and including key figures from the InfoProvider in the key figure structure of the query.
·        Restrict or filter key figures and characteristics
·        Use predefined key figure structures and restricted or calculated key figures in the query
·        Set or change query properties and key figure/characteristic properties in the query
·        Create or change conditions and exceptions
When compared with the BEx Query Designer, the Ad-hoc Query Designer Web item has the following restrictions when creating or changing queries:
·        You cannot integrate variables into the query directly.
However, you can use variables in reusable structures, or restricted or calculate key figures, which are used in the Ad-hoc Query Designer
·        The query can contain only one structure. This structure has to be the key figure structure and be in the rows or columns of the query.
-        You cannot use key figures or key figure structures in the filter.
-        You cannot define exception cells, since this requires two structures.
You cannot create the following objects using the Ad-hoc Query Designer Web item:
-         Reusable structures
-         Reusable restricted key figures
-         Reusable calculated key figures
-        Local calculated key figures
You can create local, restricted key figures using the Ad-hoc Query Designer Web item.
You can edit existing queries in the Ad-hoc Query Designer Web item, if the queries adhere to the restrictions laid out above The Ad-hoc Query Designer checks these requirements when loading a query. If the query is too complex, the query can be loaded into the Ad-hoc Query Designer but you cannot change it there. You then receive the appropriate message. You can still check and execute the query.
"Ad Hoc" is a Latin phrase which means "for this purpose" and in today's parlance generally means "on the fly," or "spontaneously."
An ad hoc query is a query that is run at the spur of the moment, and generally is never saved to run again. These queries are run using a SQL statement created by a tool or an administrator. So therefore, such a query is one that might suit a situation which is only there for the moment and later on will become irrelevant.
As queries become more complex, it can be difficult to write them correctly ad-hoc. To help with this, one can instead write the knowledge needed for queries as business rules in English, and then use a system called "Internet Business Logic" to automatically generate and run the SQL queries. One can then get explanations of the results, in English, at the business level.

Steps on how to proceed to create a Query:
ADHOC QUERY
A query can be created to extract information from master records i.e Infotypes. For example, by creating a query , the data relating to an employee contained in various Infotypes can be extracted.
Proceedure :
Decide on the various Infotypes we want to make the query. Decide on the area where we want to query i.e Global area or Standard area. Standard area is client specific and globel area will include all clients.
Menu : HR PM Admn - Information System - Adhoc Query
Select area standard and select the user group already created
Creation of new query :
TC SQ03 - Select Environment Select Standard Area - Enter -- If new user group is to be created, enter name of the user group, click on create and enter necessary information and exit after saving
TC SQ02 - Enter name of the Infoset Create enter name of Infoset - Data source -- > Table join by basis table give name of table e.g pa0000 - Enter - Click on insert table if we want to include more tables give name of table one by one and after finishing, place cursor on the joining lines and right click to delete unwanted relationships - check - and go back - field groups - include all table fields - click on generate button   - go out
TC SQ03 - Select user group -   eg. Payroll
Infoset - Enter name of newly created Infoset
Assign users and Infosets - Assign infosets - put tick on payroll - save and go back
TC PAAH - Expand the nodes and put tick on relevant fields depending upon necessity
Save the query by giving the same name as infoset for easyness..
For executing a query which is already created
1. Go to SQ01 transaction
2. Go to Environment menu->query areas->std areas
3. Then choose the user group where the query is created
4. It will display all the queries created for the group.choose the query you want to executeand click execute.
5. will take to the initial screen
6. Enter the required parameters and execute

Abap coding in SAP query (SQ01)

Hi,
By using the a table like for MSEG if i want to retrieve data for the movement type 101 (receipts from vendor), i can build a query using this table and retrieve data - my problem starts when the system shows individual line items instead of cumulated result as mentioned in the following example.
Example :-
for the date 01.07.2007 - i have 10 entries (101 movement) of quantity 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 against a vendor V1. - the query lists all the 10 entries.
But what is required is the cumulated entry against the vendor like shown below
vendor    receipt
V1         55.
What abap coding should be written (provide the sample code) and the where should it be written in the query transaction SQ01

Hi Magesh,
If you do not wish to see the detail lines, then you do not need to create them. Just create the Statistics portion only.
If you wish to see 'summarized Vendor quantity by day', then you might sort on Vendor first, then posting date second. Or, vice versa, depending on your business requirement. I would think that you might also wish to include Material in the sort, since each Material is probably valued differently.

I can get a subtotal for each Material, batch and GR date combination by using the ALV grid functionality.
This method adds too much clutter to my query and can't be easily manipulated in Excel afterwards for what I want. I want to condense the results down and just keep a cumulated available stock, e.g:

Please try to use STATISTICS in your SAP Query. you can sort and add your value based on condiiton then it will be show you collect value in SQ01.
