About Batch Loader and Multiload Journal files

Hi, may someone help me in 2 questions/
Can I use Batch Loader to automate process FDM journals and load it to HFM?
And second, is it possible to use multiload excel files for these journals?
Thx

You can use the Trial balance file for loading journals. Just select the location and set data value to entity currecy adjustments. The data will go as journal entry even if you use trial balance file but you wont have 2 columns debit and credit only one colum for amount.
Hope this is helpful.

  • Can we load and unload the files in the run time?

    Can we load and unload the files in the run time?
    For example there are four files named "test1.h & test1.c" and another set "test2.h & test2.c" (I attached them as attachment to this post).
    test1.h contains code:
    int variable; //variable declared as integer
    test1.c contains code:
    variable = 1; //variable assigned a value
    test1.h contains code:
    char *variable; //variable declared as string
    test1.c contains code:
    variable = "EXAMPLE"; //variable assigned a string
    So here, in this case can I dynamically load / unload the first & second group of files so that the same variable name "variable" can be used both as integer and string? And if yes, how is that to be done?

    What do you mean by "dynamically"?
    If you want to have a variable that either is an int or a char in the same program run, I'm afraid your only option is to define it as a variant and assign from time to time the proper data type in the variant according to some condition. Next, every time you access the variable you must firstly check which data type is stored in it, next access it in the proper way.
    If on the other hand your option or to have a run in which the variable is an int, next you stop the program and in a following run it is a char, you may have it by using some appropriade preprocessor clause:
    #ifdef  CHAR_TYPE
    #include "test1.h";        // variable defined as a char
    #else
    #include "test2.h";        // variable defined as int
    #endif
    Next, every time you want to access the variable you must proceed in the same vay:
    #ifdef  CHAR_TYPE
      variable = "string";
    #else
      variable = 1;
    #endif
    Does it worth the effort?
    Additionally, keep in mind that this "dynamical" approach can work only in the IDE, where you can properly #define your CHAR_TYPE or not depending on your wishes: when you compile the program, it will have only one #include depending on the definition of the macro.

  • Batch loading jpegs from external file

    Hello,
    I would like to preload a batch jpegs from an external file
    (to make it easy for changes) - than use them in a slide-slide show
    using a movieClip holder or loader component. I can use this
    tutorial -
    http://www.oman3d.com/tutorials/flash/portfolio_2_bc/index.php
    But I don't what to have each jpeg loaded separately I want
    them to preload b4 using..
    What would be the best way to preload the external batch to
    use for a slide show with next btn and prev btn? I can't find any
    tutorials one this.
    Thanks for any help,
    Dave

    In terms of where:
    Well, for as2, you will probably need to load them as
    dynamically created child clips of a single parent clip that you
    use to display one swf from. You would cycle through them and just
    set the _visible property of your 'current' clip to true and all
    the others to false. Your next and previous buttons could change
    which one was visible.
    But if they are large images, you'll probably use a lot of
    memory doing it this way and it would take longer to load them all
    at the start. Its more usual to, for example, load all the
    thumbnail images - smaller images, quicker to load - and then load
    the larger one into a main viewing area when its thumbnail is
    clicked.
    How
    There are plenty of examples of how to do this in tutorials
    etc.
    If you want to load all the thumbnails first, then perhaps
    you won't find exactly what you want as a tutorial. Not every
    possibility is covered in a tutorial. All I can really do is point
    your in the right direction. If it were me I would use something
    like David Stiller's MultiLoader class to make it easier perhaps
    (in fact I have my own which works a little differently but was
    seriously inspired by what I learnt from David's article at
    http://www.quip.net/blog/2007/flash/actionscript-20/tracking-multiple-files-part1

  • Batch Loader and Folders_g Question

    I would like to use Batch Loader to load a large number of images into WCC. I am also using Folders_g in my implementation, and would like to instruct batch loader during asset loading run-time which folder in /Contribution Folders/ to place the asset. Does anyone know what the batch load file key / value pair is to make this happen?
    Would I use something like this: (using dCollectionPath)
    Action = insert
    dDocTitle=Test Image
    dDocAuthor=sysadmin
    dSecurityGroup=Public
    dDocType=Document
    dInDate=10/25/10 9:58 AM
    primaryFile=C:/Files/Test Image.doc
    dCollectionPath=/Contribution Folders/images
    <<EOD>>
    Thank you,
    Randy

    Good Morning,
    Thank you Anand and Srinath for helpful answers. Yes, the xCollectionID does work and I have it loading into the correct folder using that approach. However, I have several folders under the root /Contribution Folders hierarchy, and determining the xCollectionID of each or these subfolders prior to Batch Loader runtime and mapping the IDs to each of the nodes in the Batch Load File will be tedious. Furthermore, I will be building the Batch Load File on at least four different environments i.e. DEV, TEST, STAGING, and PRODUCTION, and determining xCollectionIDs for several folders across these environments will add even more complexity. I can do it, but was hoping for an easier path.
    I am open to any more suggestions / ideas following your digestion of the previous information.
    Let me throw one other question out there. Let's say I am able to load all my assets into the several folders in my folders_g hierarchy in my DEV environment using the mapping of xCollectionID. Am I able to migrate that folder structure with loaded assets downstream into TEST, STAGING, and PRODUCTION using some out of the box UCM utility? Does something like that exist?
    Thank you,
    Randy

  • Problem with Batch Loader and FDM user regional settings

    Hi
    I am using FDM 11.1.2.1.
    When I use the English regional settings for my FDM user account, I can do Export Excel from FDM, but Batch Loader doesn't work (Error : "one or more parallel processes failed to start).
    When I use the French regional settings for my FDM user account, Export to Excel doesn't work anymore (Error: Conversion from string "12.0" to type 'Long' is not valid. Detail: InnerException1: Input string was not in a correct format.), but the Batch loader is ok.
    Any idea?
    Thanks in advance for your help

    Hi Mittal,
    By default, formats for date is determined by the report server language at run time. The report server language is the language of the operating system on which the report server is installed. So the formats for date is determined by the language of the
    operating system on which the report server is installed.
    When you deploy the report to SharePoint site that the regional setting is set to English (Australia), please also set the report language to ‘en-AU’. Then the date format can be also changes to English (Australia).
    If the issue is still exited, could you please tell us the date format of date parameters and the field? If possible, please post the screenshot about this, then we can make further analysis.

  • SQL Loader and the bad file

    I use SQL Loader to read a file into a table. In my tests a lot of rows are rejected and written to the bad file. But there are no error messages.
    Is there a way to find out why the row was rejected.

    The Bad File
    The bad file contains records that were rejected, either by SQL*Loader or by the Oracle database server. Some of the possible reasons for rejection are discussed in the next sections.
    SQL*Loader Rejects
    Datafile records are rejected by SQL*Loader when the input format is invalid. For example, if the second enclosure delimiter is missing, or if a delimited field exceeds its maximum length, SQL*Loader rejects the record. Rejected records are placed in the bad file.
    Oracle Rejects
    After a datafile record is accepted for processing by SQL*Loader, it is sent to the Oracle database server for insertion into a table as a row. If the Oracle database server determines that the row is valid, then the row is inserted into the table. If the row is determined to be invalid, then the record is rejected and SQL*Loader puts it in the bad file. The row may be invalid, for example, because a key is not unique, because a required field is null, or because the field contains invalid data for the Oracle datatype.

  • Loading and parsing XML files

    I am currently working on an application in which I have a XML file that is 1.5 mb and has 1100 records that I need to load and parse. Loading takes less than a minute, but when I try to parse it with the DOM parser it's taking too much time. I am trying to put it into an array and then display it as if I'm tied to a database. I need a different approach. Does anyone have any experience and insight with the DOM parser? Would the SAX parser be a better way to go, why and how?

    You can use SAX... but SAX is good only if you want to read the data once.
    If you want to use the same data again and again then you might have to parse the file again... which prooves expensive.
    DOM will take too much of memory and CPU time.
    Have you tried using JDOM ? it is a new kind of a XML parsing utility that is quite lightweight and has good api to recurse the JDOM tree also.
    check it out at
    http://www.jdom.org.
    hope this helps.

  • Using SQL*Loader and UTL_FILE to load and unload large files(i.e PDF,DOCs)

    Problem : Load PDF or similiar files( stored at operating system) into an oracle table using SQl*Loader .
    and than Unload the files back from oracle tables to prevoius format.
    I 've used SQL*LOADER .... " sqlldr " command as :
    " sqlldr scott/[email protected] control=c:\sqlldr\control.ctl log=c:\any.txt "
    Control file is written as :
    LOAD DATA
    INFILE 'c:\sqlldr\r_sqlldr.txt'
    REPLACE
    INTO table r_sqlldr
    Fields terminated by ','
    id sequence (max,1) ,
    fname char(20),
    data LOBFILE(fname) terminated by EOF )
    It loads files ( Pdf, Image and more...) that are mentioned in file r_sqlldr.txt into oracle table r_sqlldr
    Text file ( used as source ) is written as :
    c:\kalam.pdf,
    c:\CTSlogo1.bmp
    c:\any1.txt
    after this load ....i used UTL_FILE to unload data and write procedure like ...
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE R_UTL AS
    l_file UTL_FILE.FILE_TYPE;
    l_buffer RAW(32767);
    l_amount BINARY_INTEGER ;
    l_pos INTEGER := 1;
    l_blob BLOB;
    l_blob_len INTEGER;
    BEGIN
    SELECT data
    INTO l_blob
    FROM r_sqlldr
    where id= 1;
    l_blob_len := DBMS_LOB.GETLENGTH(l_blob);
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('blob length : ' || l_blob_len);
    IF (l_blob_len < 32767) THEN
    l_amount :=l_blob_len;
    ELSE
    l_amount := 32767;
    END IF;
    DBMS_LOB.OPEN(l_blob, DBMS_LOB.LOB_READONLY);
    l_file := UTL_FILE.FOPEN('DBDIR1','Kalam_out.pdf','w', 32767);
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('File opened');
    WHILE l_pos < l_blob_len LOOP
    DBMS_LOB.READ (l_blob, l_amount, l_pos, l_buffer);
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('Blob read');
    l_pos := l_pos + l_amount;
    UTL_FILE.PUT_RAW(l_file, l_buffer, TRUE);
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('writing to file');
    UTL_FILE.FFLUSH(l_file);
    UTL_FILE.NEW_LINE(l_file);
    END LOOP;
    UTL_FILE.FFLUSH(l_file);
    UTL_FILE.FCLOSE(l_file);
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('File closed');
    DBMS_LOB.CLOSE(l_blob);
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN OTHERS THEN
    IF UTL_FILE.IS_OPEN(l_file) THEN
    UTL_FILE.FCLOSE(l_file);
    END IF;
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('Its working at last');
    END R_UTL;
    This loads data from r_sqlldr table (BOLBS) to files on operating system ,,,
    -> Same procedure with minor changes is used to unload other similar files like Images and text files.
    In above example : Loading : 3 files 1) Kalam.pdf 2) CTSlogo1.bmp 3) any1.txt are loaded into oracle table r_sqlldr 's 3 rows respectively.
    file names into fname column and corresponding data into data ( BLOB) column.
    Unload : And than these files are loaded back into their previous format to operating system using UTL_FILE feature of oracle.
    so PROBLEM IS : Actual capacity (size ) of these files is getting unloaded back but with quality decreased. And PDF file doesnt even view its data. means size is almot equal to source file but data are lost when i open it.....
    and for images .... imgaes are getting loaded an unloaded but with colors changed ....
    Also features ( like FFLUSH ) of Oracle 've been used but it never worked
    ANY SUGGESTIONS OR aLTERNATE SOLUTION TO LOAD AND UNLOAD PDFs through Oracle ARE REQUESTED.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Thanks Justin ...for a quick response ...
    well ... i am loading data into BLOB only and using SQL*Loader ...
    I've never used dbms_lob.loadFromFile to do the loads ...
    i 've opend a file on network and than used dbms_lob.read and
    UTL_FILE.PUT_RAW to read and write data into target file.
    actually ...my process is working fine with text files but not with PDF and IMAGES ...
    and your doubt of ..."Is the data the proper length after reading it in?" ..m not getting wat r you asking ...but ... i think regarding data length ..there is no problem... except ... source PDF length is 90.4 kb ..and Target is 90.8 kb..
    thats it...
    So Request u to add some more help ......or should i provide some more details ??

  • Property Loader and then Save File

    I have an application where I'm programmatically building my sequence file from a spec document.  I generate a CSV that has all of my properties, and build a dummy sequence from template functions.  I can import the properties to this file using Import/Export, save the file, and then run the rest of my generator sequence, but I need to automate the whole process.
    I am able to use the property loader step from the sequence that I'm actually generating and the parameters are loaded without a problem.  I attempted to move this into my sequence that builds that sequence, and it didn't work.  I GetSequenceFileEX before loading to make sure it's open, perform the load, and then Save the sequence file and ReleaseSequenceFileEX, but it's not doing anything.  Is what I'm trying to do possible, and if so, what am I doing wrong?
    Thanks,
    Bryan

    Hi Bryan,
    First let me make sure I understand your situation.  It sounds like you've already built the sequence that can programmatically build a sequence of template functions then populate using a Property Loader step in the generated sequence.  You are hoping to remove that Property Loader from the generated sequence and instead have the generating sequence load the properties and embed them as defaults in the generated sequence.  This way you would avoid having to run the Property Load step every time you ran this sequence.  Is this correct?
    Assuming it is, I believe this exceeds the capabilities of the Property Loader functionality.  It isn't designed to "push" properties to another sequence.  Therefore your options are to either stick with the Property Loader step at the beginning of your generated sequence or implement the parsing and assigning of the CSV to manually populate the template steps.
    Please post back if I misunderstood you or you have additional questions.

  • Help with load and unload swf file.

    hello, just now i try, to  load my file using the code snippet 'load and unload' i manage to load the next file succesfully but why my recent file still appear in the background? how do i make it gone?

    When you load another SWF you're loading it 'inside' the current SWF but it appears that you want to replace the current SWF entirely with the new SWF, is that correct?
    If so you should make what's usually known as a 'stub' or a loader. Make an empty project that merely acts as a loader. It should load your first SWF and when you press a button on that first SWF to load a second SWF, it should signal the 'stub' it's loaded inside to unload the first SWF and then load the second.
    e.g. a stub.swf (just coding out of memory, not error checked, just to give a general idea):
    // make a new loader to do all the loading of SWFs
    var loader:Loader = new Loader();
    // and display
    addChild(loader);
    // a function to load a SWF into the loader (replacing any existing SWF)
    function loadSWF(path:String):void
         // assure path is defined or do nothing
         if (!path) return;
         // load requested SWF
         loader.load(new URLRequest(path));
    // load initial SWF
    loadSWF('/path/to/1.swf');
    For your 1.swf to use the function, you're currently inside the .content property of a Loader so I believe you can just run a command like: Object(this.parent.parent).loadSWF('/path/to/2.swf');
    This example obviously lacks any error checking or transitions but you can add those and season to taste.

    Hi,
    I saw that there is table named AFObjects ( documentation ).
    But I need to know if there ara any way to check-in document Via WCC for security group AFDocuments and supply for one of the doc MD the business object entity of EBS and the connection to the EBS will behave as I add new doc trow EBS managed attachments or attache to EBS entity new doc without involve any DB procedure.

  • I have a mac laptop OS 10.6.5, and recently upgraded to Firefox 4 beta, but when I try to use my hotmail account, it either never stops loading and/or many files either won't open at all or keep crashing.

    When I open email in my inbox, they continually load and flash. I often have to use the "back" arrow several times to make it stop. Sometimes the message just won't open at all. Also, I can't open "sent" mail at all.

    There's an HTML5 compatibility issue with Windows Live / Hotmail that affects the Firefox 4.0 betas. A Hotmail rep has said that will be fixed before the Firefox 4.0 Release Candidate comes out.
    Try hitting the '''Esc''' key to stop that "cycling".

  • Problems loading and saving pdf files from sites with latest version.

    On my utilities I wish to download and save pdf files of my e-bill.
    Lately when I click on getting bill, Firefox opens new tab and stops.
    with a light message in url place saying "Type a web address".
    To get around this I must do a right click on the save bill and
    select open in new window, then it opens a new copy of Firefox,
    and two tabs, with the second one asking me to use Adobe to see
    pdf file. I tell it to open and then save it and print it from the tab
    that opens with the pdf file in it. This never happened before was
    always able to just click on link and it would open new tab with
    pdf file there.

    Thanks for the replies. I don't think I was clear enough with my question.
    What I want to be able to do is to click on a PDF file in my Firefox browser and be able to save it as an Adobe PDF file, not a Preview PDF file, in any folder on my computer, rather than just the specified default location for downloads. This way I can save, for example, phone bills in the phone bills folder and bank statements in the bank statements folder without having to save them to the desktop, "Get Info" on each, and change the "Open with:" box from Preview to Adobe Reader.
    Fortunately, thanks to Michael's post, I found an add-on from Firefox that allows me to do just that: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/636
    Thanks for your help. Now, within my Firefox browser, I can choose whether to view or download PDF files, always in Adobe rather than Preview, and when I save them I get the option to choose the location each and every time.

  • Load and Read XML file size more than 4GB

    Hi All
    My environment is Oracle 10.2.0.4 on Solaris and I have processes to work with XML file as below detail by PL/SQL
    1. I read XML file over HTTP port into XMLTYPE column in table.
    2. I read value no.1 from table and extract to insert into another table
    On test db, everything is work but I got below error when I use production XML file
         ORA-31186: Document contains too many nodes
    Current XML size about 100MB but the procedure must support XML file size more than 4GB in the future.
    Belows are some part of my code for your info.
    1. Read XML by line into variable and insert into table
    LOOP
    UTL_HTTP.read_text(http_resp, v_resptext, 32767);
    DBMS_LOB.writeappend (v_clob, LENGTH(v_resptext), v_resptext);
        END LOOP;
        INSERT INTO XMLTAB VALUES (XMLTYPE(v_clob));
    2. Read cell value from XML column and extract to insert into another table

    FETCH c_xml INTO v_TempValue;
    <Generate insert statement into another table>
    EXIT WHEN c_xml%NOTFOUND;
    CLOSE c_xml;
        END
    And one more problem is performance issue when XML file is big, first step to load XML content to XMLTYPE column slowly.
    Could you please suggest any solution to read large XML file and improve performance?
    Thank you in advance.
    Hiko

    See Mark Drake's (Product Manager Oracle XMLDB, Oracle US) response in this old post: ORA-31167: 64k size limit for XML node
    The "in a future release" reference, means that this boundary 64K / node issue, was lifted in 11g and onwards...
    So first of all, if not only due to performance improvements, I would strongly suggest to upgrade to a database version which is supported by Oracle, see My Oracle Support... In short Oracle 10.2.x was in extended support up to summer 2013, if I am not mistaken and is currently not supported anymore...
    If you are able to able to upgrade, please use the much, much more performing XMLType Securefile Binary XML storage option, instead of the XMLType (Basicfile) CLOB storage option.
