About the immediate attribute

I'm puzzled with the immediate attribute,if a command button set this attribute to false,then whether a input field set this attribute to true or false,it's useless,that's right?

Hi
Normally fields are made mandatory or optional. You need to make required column field mandatory in customization at following path.
SPRO--> Materials Management -->  Purchasing --> Purchase Order --> Define Screen Layout at Document Level --> field selection ( Make mandatory field for relevant field selection group.)
hope it will help u.

  • JSF and the Immediate attribute

    My JSF application has a JSP page with a dataTable. This table has 2 columns, one is an inputText field the other an outputText field with a CommandLink and Immediate set to true. The dataTable is pre-populated by an array containing objects. I also have a Save button.
    When I enter or change a value in the input field and then click my command link (to display additional information about the value in the output field) the value I just entered is lost. My form processes correctly when I hit the Save button and display a result page.
    Is there a way to preserve the data values entered by the user and still use the immediate option to avoid validation? Or should I go about this in another way?
    Thanks.

    make you backing bean in session scope..

    I am new to ADF, I am confused with the immediate attribute.
    what happens when i set immediate attribute to true for a input text?

  • VO Attribute shown on About the Page is not there in VO

    Hi All,
    I have scenario where VO Associated with an item is EgoItemRevisionVO. The attribute mapped is c_ext_attr1(When i check from About the Page).
    But i am not seeing any such attribute in the VO(when i am opening it from jdev). The VO Query is

    But i don't really understand how this column is getting populated in to the page since the VO associated with the page is not querying this table nor any of the column in this existing VO query don't have such values that are shown on the page.

  • About passing the values attributes of UI components

    Hi,
    I have a question related to passing the values attributes of UI components from JSF to a baking bean.
    Assume I have inputText and I need to pass its value to the data model via an application module. So, this will be done as follows:
    <h:inputText value= "#{bindings.MyValue.inputValue}";
    I need also to pass this value to a managed bean. Therefore I used EL class prepared by Steve Muench available at:
    http://radio.weblogs.com/0118231/stories/2006/12/18/sourceForMyFavoriteElHelperClass.html
    So, in the JSF page will be as follows:
    <h:inputText value="#{myBean.myValue}";
    In managed bean:
    String myValue;
    public String get MyValue () {
    return EL.getAsString("#{bindings.MyValue.inputValue }");
    public void set MyValue t(String value) {
    EL.set("#{bindings.MyValue.inputValue }",value);
    Then when I want to use myVlaue in the managed bean just I use this line:
    myVlaue = get MyValue ();
    I tried to use the same steps to pass the value of selectOneMenu but I always get errors such as cannot be cast to java.lang.String.
    But I achived this by binding the value of selectOneMenu to a HtmlSelectOneMenu attribute in the managed bean as follows:
    In JSF page:
    <h:selectOneMenu value="#{bindings.TaskView1TaskName.inputValue}"
    binding= "#{projectBean.selectOneChoice1}">
    In managed bean:
    private HtmlSelectOneMenu selectOneChoice1;
    public void setSelectOneChoice1(HtmlSelectOneMenu selectOneChoice1) {
    this.selectOneChoice1 = selectOneChoice1;
    public HtmlSelectOneMenu getSelectOneChoice1() {
    return selectOneChoice1;
    Then I can used the selectOneChoice1 value as follows :
    somenu= getSelectOneChoice1();
    somenuValue = (Integer)somenu.getValue();
    task= taskName(somenuValue);
    this works with me. Now what is the different between this way and using EL class
    And how can I use EL class to pass the value of selectOneMenu to the managed bean
    Thank you
    Waheed

    they are look like:
    <list id="TaskView1TaskName" IterBinding="TaskView1Iterator"
    ListOperMode="0" StaticList="true">
    <AttrNames>
    <Item Value="TaskName"/>
    </AttrNames>
    <ValueList>
    <Item Value="value1"/>
    <Item Value="value2"/>
    <Item Value="value3"/>
    </ValueList>
    </list>
    and TaskName is String

    Log file is almost full with these messages.
    Why is this error message is being inserted even it does not really have a error? What exactly 'timeout' is for? I look for it in the manual but does not seems like manual has a understandable explanation.

    The 'timeout' referred to in this message is not related to the TIMEOUT clause within the replication definition. These messages are indicating that the replication agent is not able to exchange messages with the remote replication agent although the socket connection appears to be still open. I do not understand how it can be that 'replication still works' since clearly the repagents are not communicating (unless you have more than 2 datastores in your replication scheme and only one of them is not communicating).
    If the remote repagent was shutdown cleanly then it would have disconnected from the local repagent. Since we are seeing these messages the most likely cause is that the network between the machines is not functioning or that the remote machine failed in some 'hard' way (e.g. power failure).

  • Could you pls give the details about the Unicode conversion during Upgrade

    Hi,
    Can anyone give details about the Unicode conversion during SAP Upgradation fro 4.6C to ECC6.
    Waiting for quick response
    Best Regards,
    Padhy

    Hi,
    These are the few points i gathered during my upgradation project.
    Before starting any upgradation project, it is necessary to take up the back-up of the existing systems. As we are going to upgrade the entire system, we will be changing so many things and if something happens, without back-up, we will be in a trouble.
    So it is advised to keep a back-up of the existing system.
    Say for example we have the existing system E4B which is of Version 4.6C. Now we want to upgrade it to Version 4.7. Let us see how we can do it.
    Version upgrades not only means that we need to run the new Version CD over the existing Version System but only involves some other thing.
    Version Upgrade involves the following Steps.
    Say we want to upgrade for Version 4.7 from Version 4.6, which is in the System E4B. Now we created one more system called as E1B in which the upgradation for Version 4.7 can be done.
    • First copy the entire E4B system into the E1B System which is created for Version 4.7.
    • Apply the Version 4.7 CD provided by SAP over the E1B System.
    • Now check whether all the functionalities that was in E4B system works fine with E1B system also.
    Thus the Version Upgrade involves two steps.
    1. SAP Upgradation with the help of the CD
    2. Manual Upgradation.
    1. SAP Upgradation with the help of the CD
    This is nothing but after taking the copy of the existing system into a new system, the upgradation CD from SAP is applied over the new system.
    2. Manual Upgradation.
    This Manual Upgradation involves
    2.1 Upgradation of Standard Objects
    2.1.1 SPAU Objects
    2.1.2 SPDD Objects
    2.2 Upgradation of Custom Objects.
    Upgradation of Custom Objects can be placed under the following three categories.
    Unicode Compliance
    Retrofit
    Upgrade
    Please Find below some of the common Unicode Errors and their solutions
    1. Error:
    In case of Translate Error; ‘Dangerous use of Translate in Multilingual system.’
    Correction:
    To correct the Error occurring on TRANSLATE statement – use this additional statement before the Translate statement.
    SET LOCALE LANGUAGE sy-langu.
    This statement defines the Text Environment of all the programs & internal sessions in the language specified in the LANGUAGE KEY, which in this case is “sy-langu”, i.e. the log on language of the user.
    2. Error:
    In case of Open Dataset Error; ‘Encoding Addition must be included.’
    Correction:
    This Error occurs only when the MODE is TEXT.
    To correct the Error occurring on OPEN DATASET statement – use this statement instead.
    OPEN DATASET dataset_name FOR access IN TEXT MODE ENCODING DEFAULT.
    Where: dataset_name – NAME OF THE DATASET.
    Access – INPUT or OUTPUT or APPENDING or UPDATE.
    DEFAULT - Corresponds to UTF-8 in UNICODE systems &
    NON_UNICODE in NON-UNICODE systems.
    3. Error:
    In case of the usage of the Obsolete FM UPLOAD/DOWNLOAD or WS_UPLOAD/DOWNLOAD; ‘Function module UPLOAD is flagged as obsolete.’
    Correction:
    The FM GUI_DOWNLOAD/UPLOAD is used.
    The variations to be made in the parameters of the FM:
    1. Filename – It must be of STRING type.
    2. Filetype – “DAT” is not used any longer, instead “ASC” is used.
    3. Field Separator – The default value “SPACE” is used, incase for a TAB separated file “X” can be used.
    4. Error:
    In case of CURRENCY/UNIT Addition Error; ‘Use addition CURRENCY/UNIT when outputting.’
    Correction:
    The CURRENCY addition specifies the currency-dependant decimal places for the output of the data objects of type i or p. To obtain the currency-key, the field CURRKEY of the table TCURX is used. The system determines the number of the decimal places from the field CURRDEC of the selected CURRKEY.
    To correct this error follow the following method:
    WRITE: /3 'TOTAL',' ', TOTAL.
    WRITE: /3 ‘TOTAL’,’ ‘, TOTAL CURRENCY ‘2’. --- Where ‘2’is the Currency Key for Getting 2 decimal places.
    5. Error:
    In case of TYPE X Error; ‘Variable must be of C, N, D, T or STRING type.’
    Correction:
    We need to change all the Type X (Hexadecimal) variables to Type C with their values unchanged.
    So the method to be followed is:-
    1. Load the definition of the class CL_ABAP_CONV_IN_CE or CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES.
    2. Declare the variable as Type C, and use the method UCCP(‘XXXX’) of the class CL_ABAP_CONV_IN_CE where XXXX represents the 8-bit Hexadecimal value and incase the variable holds a Hex value for a Horizontal Tab , then the Attribute “HORIZONTAL_TAB” of the class CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES can be used directly instead of using the method UCCP.
    E.g.:
    i) *DATA: TAB TYPE X VALUE 09, “Tab character
    CLASS: CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES DEFINITION LOAD.
    DATA TAB TYPE C VALUE CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES=>HORIZONTAL_TAB.
    ii) * DATA: CHAR TYPE X VALUE 160.
    CLASS: CL_ABAP_CONV_IN_CE DEFINITION LOAD.
    DATA CHAR TYPE C.
    CHAR = CL_ABAP_CONV_IN_CE=>UCCP(‘00AO’).
    (Here ‘00A0’ is the Hexadecimal equivalent of the decimal 160).
    3. Incase the TYPE X Variable has a length more than 1, then an internal table must be created for the variable.
    E.g.:
    CLASS: CL_ABAP_CONV_IN_CE DEFINITION LOAD.
    DATA : LF(2) TYPE X VALUE 'F5CD'.
    DATA : BEGIN OF LF,
    A1 TYPE C,
    A2 TYPE C,
    END OF LF.
    LF-A1 = CL_ABAP_CONV_IN_CE=>UCCP('00F5').
    LF-A2 = CL_ABAP_CONV_IN_CE=>UCCP('00CD').
    6. Error:
    In case of the Character “-“Error; ‘The Character “-“can’t appear in names in Unicode Programs.’
    Correction:
    The Character “-“(Hyphen) appearing in Variable names is replaced by the character “_” (Under Score) for Unicode/Upgrade Compliance.
    E.g.:
    *wk-belnr LIKE bkpf-belnr,
    *wk-xblnr LIKE bkpf-xblnr,
    *wk-date LIKE sy-datum,
    *wk-wrbtr LIKE bseg-wrbtr,
    *wk-name1 LIKE lfa1-name1,
    *wk-voucher(8) TYPE c.
    wk_belnr LIKE bkpf-belnr,
    wk_xblnr LIKE bkpf-xblnr,
    wk_date LIKE sy-datum,
    wk_wrbtr LIKE bseg-wrbtr,
    wk_name1 LIKE lfa1-name1,
    wk_voucher(8) TYPE c.
    7. Error:
    In case of The SUBMIT-TO-SAP-SPOOL Error; ‘you should not use the statement SUBMIT-TO-SAP-SPOOL without the WITHOUT SPOOL DYNPRO addition. ‘
    Correction:
    1. Declare variables of type PRI_PARAMS, ARC_PARAMS, and a variable of TYPE C which would be used as a VALID FLAG.
    2. Call the FM GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS:
    CALL FUNCTION 'GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS'
    EXPORTING
    ARCHIVE_MODE = '3'
    DESTINATION = P_DEST
    IMMEDIATELY = 'X'
    IMPORTING
    OUT_ARCHIVE_PARAMETERS = archive_parameters
    OUT_PARAMETERS = print_parameters
    VALID = valid_flag
    EXCEPTIONS
    INVALID_PRINT_PARAMS = 2
    OTHERS = 4
    3. Use the SUBMIT-TO-SAP-SPOOL statement.
    E.g.:
    •     submit zrppt500
    •     using selection-set 'AUTO3'
    •     with res_no eq lo_rsnum
    •     with sreserv in preserv
    •     to sap-spool destination p_dest
    •     immediately 'X'. "print immediate
    DATA: print_parameters type pri_params,
    archive_parameters type arc_params,
    valid_flag(1) type c.
    CALL FUNCTION 'GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS'
    EXPORTING
    ARCHIVE_MODE = '3'
    DESTINATION = P_DEST
    IMMEDIATELY = 'X'
    IMPORTING
    OUT_ARCHIVE_PARAMETERS = archive_parameters
    OUT_PARAMETERS = print_parameters
    VALID = valid_flag
    EXCEPTIONS
    INVALID_PRINT_PARAMS = 2
    OTHERS = 4
    Submit zrppt500
    Using selection-set 'AUTO3'
    With res_no eq lo_rsnum
    with sreserv in preserv
    to sap-spool
    SPOOL PARAMETERS PRINT_PARAMETERS
    ARCHIVE PARAMETERS ARCHIVE_PARAMETERS
    WITHOUT SPOOL DYNPRO.
    8. Error:
    In case of Message Error; ‘Number of WITH fields and number of Place Holders are not same ‘.
    Correction:
    Split the statement after WITH into the same number as the place holder for that Message ID.
    E.g.:
    1. * MESSAGE E045.
    MESSAGE E045 WITH '' ''.
    2. in program ZIPI0801
    •     Start of change for ECC6
    •     message e398(00) with 'Could not find access sequence'
    •     'for condition type:'
    •     p_ptype.
    message e398(00) with 'Could not find '
    'access sequence'
    'for condition type:'
    p_ptype.
    •     End of change made for ECC6
    9. Error:
    In case of Move between 2 different Structures; ‘The structures are not mutually convertible in a Unicode program.’
    Correction:
    Make both the Data Types compatible and then assign the contents.
    E.g.:
    The statement –“move retainage_text to temp_text.” Gives an error, where RETAINAGE_TEXT is an internal table and TEMP_TEXT is a string of length 200.
    A Feasible solution for this is to specify from which position to which position of the string, the fields of RETAINAGE_TEXT should be assigned.
    TEMP_TEXT+0(1) = RETAINAGE_TEXT-DQ1.
    TEMP_TEXT+1(1) = RETAINAGE_TEXT-HEX.
    TEMP_TEXT+2(20) = RETAINAGE_TEXT-FILLER1.
    TEMP_TEXT+22(15) = RETAINAGE_TEXT-AMT_DUE.
    TEMP_TEXT+37(8) = RETAINAGE_TEXT-TEXT.
    TEMP_TEXT+45(10) = RETAINAGE_TEXT-DUE_DATE.
    TEMP_TEXT+55(1) = RETAINAGE_TEXT-DQ2.
    10. Error:
    In case of ‘no description found’; ‘add a GUI title’.
    Correction:
    In this type of error gui title is generally missing so add a GUI title to the module pool.
    11. Error:
    In case of ‘writing internal or transparent table’
    Correction:
    Write individual fields.
    E.g.:
    WRITE: / EXT. --> EXT should be a character type field
    WRITE: / EXT-ZZSTATE, EXT-LINE_NO, EXT-LINE_TXT, EXT-AMT, EXT-ZZSKUQTY.
    12. Error:
    In case of ‘combination reference table/field S541-UMMENGE does not exist’
    Correction:
    Was due to error in reference table S541. TABLE S541 has errors
    1)”Foreign key S541- ZZMARKET (ZZMARKET AND KATR2 point to different domains)”
    2)”Foreign key S541-ZZACQUIGRP (ZZACQUIGRP AND KATR8 point to different domains)”
    Changed the domain of ZZMARKET (from ZMKCODE to ATTR2)
    And that of ZMKCODE (from ZACCODE to ATTR8)
    13. Error:
    In case of ‘KEY does not exist’
    Correction:
    The reference table for field KBETR was KNOV earlier changed it to RV61A as KNOV was in turn referring to RV61A.
    14. Error:
    Incase of ‘WRITE’ statement, ‘Literals that take more than one line is not permitted in Unicode systems.’
    Correction: To correct this error, we need to align the spaces accordingly so that the statement doesn’t go beyond the line.
    15. Error:
    Incase of Data statement, ‘The data type ZWFHTML can be enhanced in any way. After a structure enhancement, this assignment or parameter might be syntactically incorrect………..’
    Correction: To correct this error, instead of “like” in the Data statement, use “type”.

    For issue during Issue using SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 Function module, the solution is After this FM we should put COMMIT WORK.
    Issue:
    Moving data from one structure to another structure if those two structures are not compatible
    Solution:
    we should use move-corresponding or field by filed we need to move it.
    If database structures are different in 4.6c and ECC6.0,
    Then we should go with append structure concept.
    While testing the report if it gives dump at Select query level or any database or view level,then just goto that table or view and goto the data base utility(se14) adjust the database. But make sure that selected radio button in se14 transaction should be activate and adjust database

  • How do I set the mailhost attribute in Messaging Server 3.5?

    <B>Intent of the hostname aliases feature: </B><BR>
    In Messaging Server 3.5, the hostname aliases feature is designed to facilitate migrating and co-hosting. For
    instance, if you set up all of your sales and marketing users on one Messaging Server, but suspect that you'll
    want to split those groups in the future, you can give the sales users the mailhost value sales.company.com and
    the marketing users the mailhost value mktg.company.com. This feature can also be used for fast failover if
    you want to be able to move a group of users quickly from one Messaging Server to another.
    <P>
    <B>How to use hostname aliases and how to set mailhost and MessageHostName settings: </B><BR>
    Each user's mailhost attribute can have only one value. All users on a single Messaging Server do not need to
    have the same mailhost value in the LDAP directory. The user's mailhost value should match one of the
    MessageHostName attribute values in netscape.mail.conf. (On Unix, the path to this file is
    /etc/netscape.mail.conf. Windows NT users must use Notepad to create this file in
    server-root\bin\mail\Server\etc, where server-root is the base directory where your SuiteSpot servers are
    installed.)
    <P>
    With Messaging Server 3.5 and later, MessageHostName can have multiple values. Think of hostnames as
    colors. Each mail account in the LDAP server has a single color. Each Messaging Server has one or more
    colors. A Messaging Server will check an LDAP account's color (mailhost) against its own color(s)
    (MessageHostName), and if they match, the server considers the account to be local. <P>
    For example: <BR>
    MessageHostName=red.company.com,green.company.com,blue.company.com
    <BR>where original-host-name is the machine's real name. This entry must come first as the server uses the first
    entry to generate machine specific postmaster forms. The subsequent host names can be any values that you
    wish separated by commas that are inside the brackets. Do not place spaces anywhere on the line.
    <P>
    In this example, if the mailhost setting for the user is set for either red.company.com or green.company.com, or
    blue.company.com, the server will consider the user to be local. (Hostname aliases must also be configured in
    DNS. Please see the DNS section at the end of this technote.) No other Messaging Server should list either
    red.company.com or green.company.com or blue.company.com in the MessageHostName field. Mail could
    not be delivered properly if either red.company.com or green.company.com or blue.company.com were listed
    in any other server's MessageHostName field. A user with a mailhost setting of violet.company.com would not
    be considered local to this machine.
    <P>
    Although it is possible with Messaging Server 3.52 to list more than 16 different host names in the
    MessageHostName field, it is not recommended because increasing the number of hostnames in this field beyond
    16 will have a negative impact on performance. This feature is intended to provide fast failover and/or
    migration of users. If users need to be divided up into many smaller groups, the use of some other LDAP
    attribute is recommended.
    <P>
    In Messaging Server 3.0, you can associate a server with only one host name. Consequently, all mail accounts
    on a given server must have the same mailhost value in the LDAP directory. This should be the name of the
    server, i.e. host.company.com
    <P>
    </A>A note about DNS
    Hostname aliases must be configured in DNS. This is done with a CNAME record. For example:
    A 128.101.101.101
    CNAME
    <P>
    Additional MX records are not required to use hostname aliases.
    <P>
    If you aren't sure about how to configure your DNS records, consult the book <I>DNS and Bind </I> by Paul Albitz and
    Cricket Liu.

  • Not able to get the context attribute set in ServletContextListener

    Hi all,
    I have written a simple ServletContextListener and set an attribute in it. when i am trying to retrieve the attribute value in my servlet, I am getting as null. Could anybody please let me know about this if i need to add any more changes.
    Below is the complete code of my sample application
    web.xml
    <web-app>
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>myServlet</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>com.mypackage.MyServlet</servlet-class>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>myServlet</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    <listener>
    <listener-class>
    com.mypackage.MyContextListener
    </listener-class>
    </listener>
    <context-param>
    <param-name>testMe</param-name>
    <param-value>TestedSuccessfully</param-value>
    </context-param>
    </web-app>
    ContextListener
    package com.mypackage;
    import javax.servlet.ServletContext;
    import javax.servlet.ServletContextEvent;
    import javax.servlet.ServletContextListener;
    public class MyContextListener implements ServletContextListener{
    public void contextDestroyed(ServletContextEvent arg0) {
    public void contextInitialized(ServletContextEvent arg0) {
    ServletContext context = arg0.getServletContext();
    String testApplication = context.getInitParameter("testMe");
    context.setAttribute("myTest", "mkmmkmmkm");
    Servlet
    package com.mypackage;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.io.PrintWriter;
    import javax.servlet.ServletContext;
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet;
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest;
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse;
    public class MyServlet extends HttpServlet{
    public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response){
    ServletContext context = getServletContext();
    if(context != null){
    response.setContentType("text/html");
    try {
    String output = (String) getServletContext().getAttribute("testMe");
    PrintWriter out = response.getWriter();
    out.print("The required value is... "+output);
    } catch (IOException e) {
    // TODO Auto-generated catch block
    e.printStackTrace();
    OUTPUT
    When accessed with any url as below:
    http://localhost:8080/helloworld/u
    gettting output as "The required value is... null" . Because i set the context attribute, I am expecting not null. Can anybody suggest me on this.

    context.setAttribute("myTest", "mkmmkmmkm");
    String output = (String) getServletContext().getAttribute("testMe");You set "myTest" but try to get "testMe"

  • A problem about the policy of RMS which is added more than 500 principals

    Hello specialists ,
        I've a question about RMS , when I added more than about 500 principals (users & groups ) into a policy in the RMS , it will report an error for any operation about the policy , and I find the error message as followed (for theconvenience, I paste all of the logs in the weblogic).
       We have tested all of our environments : Weblogic , JBoss , Websphere , each of them  makes the same mistake . those operations include : try to open the documents protected by this kind of policies , to disable or enable the policies, to look the detail from the "adminui" . when decreasing the principals for this kind of policy to almost 450 (I am not sure the clearly number) with java code , the results will be ok .
       So anyone can help me ? It's really very important for us , becuase our customer refused to pay the left money of this project till this problem is resolved . and I have reported this problem to the Enterprise Support in Indian (the case is :181916446), but , obviously , it seems they are burning my patience  . At the same time , I think it's a problem of the product , I think the SQL is really very bad ,at least , not so good .
       Any help will be very appreciated !

    Hi Anyone,

    I have this code but it doesn't works good:
        public void setLogonHours(boolean[] logonHoursBits){
            int i;
            int j;
            int k;
            int index21 = 0;
            int index24 = 0;
            byte[] byteLogonHour = new byte[21];
            byte byte8Hours = 0;
            for(i=0; i <= 6; i++){
                for(j=1; j <= 3; j++){
                    for(k=7; k >= 0; k--){
                        if (i < 6){
                            if (logonHoursBits[i] == (boolean)(index24 == 0) ? true : false){
                                byte8Hours += (byte)Math.pow(2,k);
                        else{
                            if (logonHoursBits[0] == (boolean)(index24 == 0) ? true : false){
                                byte8Hours += (byte)Math.pow(2,k);
                        index24++;
                    byteLogonHour[index21] = byte8Hours;
                    index21++;
                index24 = 0;
            try{
                String nome = "CN=Dryelle,OU=Pesquisa,DC=cifya,DC=com,DC=br";
                ctx = new InitialLdapContext(env,null);
                ModificationItem logonHours[] = new ModificationItem[1];
                logonHours[0]= new ModificationItem(DirContext.REPLACE_ATTRIBUTE, new BasicAttribute("logonHours",byteLogonHour));
                ctx.modifyAttributes(name,logonHours);
                System.out.println("Atributo logonHours alterado com sucesso.");
            catch (NamingException e) {
               System.err.println("Problema na altera??o " + e);

    Quick eyeball and couldn't see the cause in the user account so used the script here:
    http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/office/Fix-Duplicate-User-d92215ef
    And got these outputs:
    PS C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0> Export-OSCADUserPrincipalName -UserPrincipalName "[email protected]" -Path .\outputs.csv
    WARNING: Cannot find objects with specified duplicate user principal name

    Where to from here?

    Hi,
    Did you talk about the Microsoft Azure Active Directory Sync tool ?
    If yes, this issue occurs if one or more of the following conditions are true:
    An object in the on-premises Active Directory has an SMTP address that's the same as the SMTP address of the object that's reporting the problem.
    An object in the on-premises Active Directory has a mail attribute that's identical to the object that's reporting the problem.
    An object already exists in your organizational account and has the same SMTP address or mail attribute as the object in the on-premises Active Directory

  • Make information about the current user available in a managed bean

    I've overridden prepareSession in an Application Module (AM) so that when a user logs into my application, it immediately uses the username as a bind variable to execute the query for a View Object (VO) that gets more information about the user, like full name, e-mail address ... This works fine and I'm able to bind the VO to a page and display the information.
    But now I'm beginning to realize that I'm going to need this information about the user throughout the application. Do I have to include an iterator for the user info VO and associated attributeValues on every single pageDef, or is it possible to write a single managed bean that will expose the attributes of the single row of the VO as properties. The application I'm working on now is a "minor" upgrade of a JDeveloper 10.1.3 application, so I need a 10.1.3 solution, but I have a 11.1.2 application in the works that will probably do the same thing.
    Oh, and sorry if this is an FAQ - I'm probably not using good search terms to find solutions that have already been posted.

    Thank you Nick -
    Your code didn't give me exactly the answer I needed, but it pointed me in the right direction. For one thing, I had a version of ADFUtils that didn't have the getApplicationModuleForDataControl method. However I was able to do a Google search and find working code for the missing method. And since the values I need to expose in the managed bean are from the VO, not the AM, I had to go one step further and get a reference to the VO from the AM, and then a reference to the first (and only) row of the VO.
    For anyone else with this question, here's my version of the code:
    public class UserInfo implements Serializable {
        private String eMail;
        private String stateCode;
        private String fullName;
        public UserInfo() {
            AppModuleImpl appModule =
                (AppModuleImpl)ADFUtils.getApplicationModuleForDataControl("AppModuleDataControl");
            ContactInfoViewImpl contactInfoVO =
                (ContactInfoViewImpl)appModule.getContactInfoView1();
            contactInfoVO.reset();
            ContactInfoViewRow contactInfo =
                (ContactInfoViewRow)contactInfoVO.first();
            stateCode = contactInfo.getConStCode();
            System.out.println("At construct UserInfo stateCode=" + stateCode);
            eMail = contactInfo.getConInternetAddr();
            System.out.println("At construct UserInfo eMail=" + eMail);
            fullName =
                    contactInfo.getConFname() + " " + (contactInfo.getConMi() != null ?
                                                       contactInfo.getConMi() +
                                                       " " : "") +
                    contactInfo.getConLname();
            System.out.println("At construct UserInfo fullName=" + fullName);
        public String getStateCode() {
            return stateCode;
        public String getEMail() {
            return eMail;
        public String getFullName() {
            return fullName;
    }

  • Information about the upcoming version of WLST

    Satya,
    could you please share some information about the new features of the upcoming version of WLST.
    I am asking because currently I am trying very hard to implement Python code to setup our entire WLS 8.1 domains (including custom MBeans with our security providers).
    This is maybe useless because with the new version of WLST everything is already available.
    Will the new version WLST support the following topics?
    - creation / deletion of security realms (including display name)
    - creation / deletion of security providers
    - addition / removal of security providers to / from a security realm
    Against these topics I am currently fighting most :-)
    Does anyone have corresponding Python code to share?
    Cheers,
    Torsten

    Torsten, Attached 4 scripts that add atn, atz, audit and remove a provider.
    This script creates a new security ATN Provider of type com.bea.atn.MyNewAtnProvider
    with object name Security:Name=myrealmMyTestAuthenticator
    # The realm name in your weblogic server
    realmName = 'Security:Name=myrealm'
    realm = ObjectName(realmName)
    # The default Identity asserter in your wls
    atnIdentProvName = 'Security:Name=myrealmDefaultIdentityAsserter'
    atnIdentProv = ObjectName(atnIdentProvName)
    # The default authenticator in your wls
    atnProvName = 'Security:Name=myrealmDefaultAuthenticator'
    atnProv = ObjectName(atnProvName)
    # The new provider that you would like to create
    newAtnName = 'Security:Name=myrealmMyTestAuthenticator'
    newAtnProv = ObjectName(atnTestProvName)
    # create the provider
    create(newAtnName, 'com.bea.atn.MyNewAtnProvider')
    # Now add your newly created authenticator to the default realm
    mbs.setAttribute(realm, Attribute('AuthenticationProviders', array([atnProv,atnIdentProv,newAtnProv], ObjectName)))
    # set the realm pointer back on the newly created provider
    mbs.setAttribute(newAtnProv, Attribute('Realm', realm))
    # change the controlFlag's
    mbs.setAttribute(atnProv, Attribute('ControlFlag', 'OPTIONAL'))
    mbs.setAttribute(newAtnProv, Attribute('ControlFlag', 'REQUIRED'))
    This script creates a new Authorizer of type com.bea.atz.MyNewAtzProvider
    with object name Security:Name=myrealmMyAtzAuthorizer' and its to the default realm
    # this is the default security realm
    realmName = 'Security:Name=myrealm'
    realm = ObjectName(realmName)
    # This is the default authorizer
    atzProvName = 'Security:Name=myrealmDefaultAuthorizer'
    atzProv = ObjectName(atzProvName)
    # New atz provider that you would like to create
    myAtzProvName = 'Security:Name=myrealmMyAtzAuthorizer'
    atzProv = ObjectName(myAtzProvName)
    # create your new authorizer of type com.bea.atz.MyNewAtzProvider
    create(myAtzProvName, 'com.bea.atz.MyNewAtzProvider')
    # Add the newly created authorizer to the realm
    mbs.setAttribute(realm, Attribute('Authorizers', array([atzProv,atzProv], ObjectName)))
    # set the authorizer on the realm
    mbs.setAttribute(atzProv, Attribute('Realm', realm))
    This script creates a default auditor and adds it to the realm
    audProvName = 'Security:Name=myrealmDefaultAuditor'
    audProv = ObjectName(audProvName)
    create(audProvName,'weblogic.security.providers.audit.DefaultAuditor')
    mbs.setAttribute(realm, Attribute('Auditors', array([audProv], ObjectName)))
    mbs.setAttribute(audProv, Attribute('Realm', realm))
    This script removes the deference to the Atn provider that was added and deletes the
    atn provider
    # The realm name in your weblogic server
    realmName = 'Security:Name=myrealm'
    realm = ObjectName(realmName)
    # The default Identity asserter in your wls
    atnIdentProvName = 'Security:Name=myrealmDefaultIdentityAsserter'
    atnIdentProv = ObjectName(atnIdentProvName)
    # The default authenticator in your wls
    atnProvName = 'Security:Name=myrealmDefaultAuthenticator'
    atnProv = ObjectName(atnProvName)
    delAtnName = 'Security:Name=myrealmMyTestAuthenticator'
    delAtnProv = ObjectName(atnTestProvName)
    # This will remove the deference of delAtnProv from the realm
    mbs.setAttribute(realm, Attribute('AuthenticationProviders', array([atnProv,atnIdentProv], ObjectName)))
    delete( delAtnName, 'com.bea.atn.MyNewAtnProvider' )
    Thanks,
    -satya
    Satya,
    I will try to put together a script that can dothis
    and post it.That would be great.
    Thanx.
