Access denied - CredentialAccessPermission - error in OIF when starting WLS

All,
In an existing 2-node OIF deployment, a new oif.ear file was deployed and following the deployment via WLS admin console, the application components are not accessible (e.g., accessing application component /fed/user/testspsso results in HTTP 500 error). Examining the WLS server (diagnostic) log, I find the CredentialAccessPermission error and trace listed below. In the WLS admin server log, I see references to the CA cert parsing errors such as:
<Jun 14, 2012 8:32:15 AM MDT> <Notice> <Security> <<server_FQDN>> <AdminServer> <[STANDBY] ExecuteThread: '3' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <e74b8846f6eaa8d9:7db63c9e:137eb60bbd9:-8000-0000000000000053> <1339684335728> <BEA-090898> <Ignoring the trusted CA certificate "CN=Entrust Root Certification Authority - G2,OU=(c) 2009 Entrust\, Inc. - for authorized use only,OU=See www.entrust.net/legal-terms,O=Entrust\, Inc.,C=US". The loading of the trusted certificate list raised a certificate parsing exception PKIX: Unsupported OID in the AlgorithmIdentifier object: 1.2.840.113549.1.1.11.>
I have reviewed other forum discussions about that error, but I think it's byproduct of the credential error (below). This could be wrong, but I suspect the expiration of a WLS-related repository credential, but I cannot identify which specific credential is the problem.
Any thoughts or recommendations would be much appreciated!!
Thank you!
~Mark

  • Access denied. Error in File C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\

    I have searched on Google and all over this forum and none of the solutions have fixed my problem.
    Crystal Version: Crsytal.Net for Visual Studio.Net 2005
    Server: Windows Server 2003
    Error:
    Access denied. Error in File C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\JuryDutyReport {D6296178-3E72-483E-B876-2DFC03D00841}.rpt: Access to report file denied. Another program may be using it.
    When I run my app locally through the Web Server that comes with ASP.Net, everything is fine, it is only when I deploy the application to the Windows 2003 Server that I get the error.
    I'm using impersonation in my ASP.Net application.  I have given that domain user full access to 'C:\Windows\Temp'', the export folder and even the folder where the Crystal Report resides on the Server.  When I run the application on the Web Server, I actually see the ".rpt" get created in the "C:\Windows\Temp" folder but yet it still says there is a permissions error.
    What is bizarre is that the code below that just sends the file to the printer automatically works:
      private void PrintJuryDutyReport(DataSet ds)
            //create report document
            ReportDocument crDoc = new ReportDocument();
            //load, set datasource and print options
            crDoc.Load(Server.MapPath("~/Reports/JuryDutyReport.rpt"));
            crDoc.SetDataSource(ds); //set datasource
            crDoc.PrintOptions.PrinterName = ddlPrinters.SelectedValue.ToString(); //set printername
            crDoc.PrintOptions.PaperOrientation = PaperOrientation.Portrait; //set paper orientation
            crDoc.SetParameterValue("ParamUsername", User.Identity.Name); //set parameter
            crDoc.PrintToPrinter(1, false, 0, 0); //send to printer
    I have to change the code to export to a PDF and this code doesn't work:
        private void PrintJuryDutyReport(DataSet ds)
            //report document
            ReportDocument crDoc = new ReportDocument();
            string myfile = @"G:\COPFS\COPFSPROD\ReportsTemp\MyPDF.pdf";
            //load, set datasource and print options
            crDoc.Load(Server.MapPath("~/Reports/JuryDutyReport.rpt"));
            crDoc.SetDataSource(ds); //set datasource
            crDoc.SetParameterValue("ParamUsername", User.Identity.Name); //set parameter
            //export through http
            crDoc.ExportToDisk(ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat, myfile);
            crDoc.Close();
            crDoc.Dispose();
            Response.ClearContent();
            Response.ClearHeaders();
            Response.ContentType = "Application/pdf";
            Response.AppendHeader("content-disposition", "attachment; filename=" + myfile);
            Response.WriteFile(myfile);
            Response.Flush();
            Response.Close();
    Any help is greatly appreciated as I have to present this to end users tomorrow.

    Don, thanks for the response.
    As a last ditch effort, I granted "modify" to the Network Service Account on C:\Windows\Temp and that fixed the error.
    There are two things that are troubling about this:
    1) I'm impersonating a domain user in my ASP.Net application and when the PDF is created, the owner is that domain user, so I know impersonation is working.  So I wonder if ASP.Net picks and chooses what account it runs under at different times?
    2) It is a little scary for the Network Service Account to have this access but that people seem to be fine with it.

  • WLS http access logs not written to when starting WLS instance using nodemanager

    When starting managed WLS instances using node manager the HTTP access logs are
    not written to (the WLS log in the same directory is written to). All other functionality
    of the WLS instances seem to operate just fine when started using node manager.
    When we start the same managed WLS instances using a start-up script the HTTP
    access logs are written to.
    ===
    How can we get HTTP access logs to be written to when starting a WLS instance
    using node manager?

    I think I know the answer to this one!
    I got bitten by the same bug (at least I think it is a bug). Check the location
    specified for the HTTP-access log for your server instance. It is probably a relative
    location, right?
    According to the docs, relative paths should start from the Root Directory (see
    your Remote Start config), but it seems like the BEA-programmers forgot to retrieve
    the Root Directory and instead blindly writes to the process' current working
    directory (CWD).
    And when started by the Node Managet, the CWD = WL_HOME/common/nodemanager.
    If you are as paronoid as I am (and you should be too), that directory should
    not be writeable by anyone. Because my BEA installation was owned by 'bin', and
    the processes run by 'beawls', I got an error message in my NM-logs pointing to
    the problem. In your case, you are probably running NM as a user that has write-access
    to your NM-home, and all your missing HTTP-access logs are deep, down there.

  • Regedit Permissions -"Access Denied" or "Error while deleting key" EVEN AS ADMIN!

    Anyone tried deleting a registry key in Windows 7?  Got "access denied" or "Error while deleting key"?
    The usual response is, "You need to run regedit as an administrator".  but I *AM* logged in as Administrator, and running regedit as administrator, trying to assign administrator full permissions on that registry key in order to delete it!!
    Am I mistaken, or isn't Administrator supposed to be able to administer and control all the settings on the computer, in order to set it up for the "Average Joe" user?
    So, under the permissions menu of that key, go to advanced, change the owner from System to Administrator, and try again.  It's no longer saying "access denied", but "Cannot delete xxxxxx. Error while deleting key".
    The scenario: Basically, the wireless has stopped working on a laptop. The device does not show up in Device Manager, but is in the registry, so the normal procedure is to delete the registry entry for the device in HKLM/System/CurrentControlSet (and /ControlSet001) /Enum/PCI    ,then attach the device or restart the computer, it finds the "new" hardware and reinstalls it. Easy!...
    Not with permission restrictions on the administrator account it's not!  So I need to give myself permission, to give myself permission, to do a simple task like delete a single registry key!  Why, Microsoft, why???!!!  Please just make the Administrator account a hidden "God mode" account that can do anything, and make the lives of us techies much easier in the process!
    /RANT
    Now, where did I put that XP disc?!....

    Hi,
    I explain you:
    Administrator does not mean "you get all rights to do anything." Administrator happens to be an account (or in your case, most likely the Local Administrators group) which by default is given some sensitive privileges like SeDebugPrivilege and
    similar. However, as far as the security subsystem is concerned, it is just an account. (Very much unlike root in
    Unix-like operating systems) If you aren't the owner of the key in question, and your account does not have WRITE_DAC access
    to the registry key in question, then you won't be able to change the access control list on the key in question.
    Try taking ownership first. By default, the local administrators group has SeTakeOwnershipPrivilege,
    which allows taking ownership of any object even without the WRITE_OWNER permission
    being granted by the object's discretionary access control list. Once you are the owner, you should be implicitly granted READ_CONTROL (which
    allows you to read the security descriptor on the object in question), and WRITE_DAC (which
    allows you to write to the DACL on the key in question). (Assuming the OWNER_RIGHTS SID
    isn't in use; that's extremely unlikely)

  • 'Error 8 occurred when starting the data extraction program'

    Hello Experts,
    I am trying to pull master data (Full upload) for a attribute. I am getting an error on BW side i.e. 'The error occurred in Service API .'
    So I checked in Source system and found that the an IDOC processing failure has occurred. The failure shows 'Error 8 occurred when starting the data extraction program'.
    But when I check the extractor through RSA3, it looks fine.
    Can someone inform what might be the reason of the failure for IDOC processing and how can this be avoided in future. Because the same problem kept occurring later as well.
    Thanks
    Regards,

  • "Error -42032" message when starting up iTunes 10.2

    Immediately after I upgraded my 15" MacBook Pro to iTunes 10.2 a couple of days ago I began getting this error message whenever I started up the program. After dismissing the error message iTunes seems to work fine. It's more of a nuisance than a major problem, but I'd like to resolve it if I can. Any ideas out there?
    Regards, Jim
    PS - the 10.2 upgrade works fine on my 24" iMac C2 Duo.

    Looks like I found the answer to my question.
    A colleague on the DealMac forum pointed me to an article at Ars Technica (http://arstechnica.com/civis/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=83766) which suggested that the problem lay in the invisible folder /users/shared/sc info. After making invisible files/folders visible using TinkerTool, I copied this folder to a work file on my desktop, trashed the originals, and then put the copy back. Voila! No more error -42032 message when starting iTunes!

    System information would really help as suggested by Mylenium . I would also recommend going through the below mentioned Kb article to see if that resolves the query.

  • An unknown error occured (-42110) when starting iTunes current version.

    An unknown error occured (-42110) when starting iTunes current version on PC running Win 8 Pro x86. Tried to uninstall i''Tunes. But erratic behaviour when trying to install iTunes again. Get 2 choices, Repair or Delete. Choose Repair, but after some time I get the question: "Do I want to delete everythin in Itunes" Y/N. No matter if reply Y or N or close window, Installation program is terminated without any alterations (or so it says). What ?????

    A repair uninstalls all program files prior to reinstalling them. So the message asking whether or not you want to do that just reflects what has always happened. A repair install (like a standard uninstall, followed by a reinstall) doesn't touch content files under normal circumstances.
    If you think the wording is misleading, it's possible to give feedback directly to the Apple folks about it. Here's a link to the product feedback form for iTunes:

    Hi Andrew, "Get Info" (command-i) on your Applications folder and turn the disclosure triangle on "Ownership & Permissions" be sure you can "read & write" and that the owner (click the lock to open) is "system" with "read & write" access. Group is "admin" with "read & write" access.
    EDIT: Also, check Permissions inside your Home Folder
    • Navigate to YourHome/Library.
    • Get Info (Command - i) on folders for apps you are having problems with.
    • Open the "Ownership & permissions" disclosure triangle.
    • Make sure you are the owner, with "read and write" access.
    • Click on "apply to all"
    • If this is correct, open the "Applications Support" folder and do the same procedure (Command+I) for the folders with the names of the applications you are having trouble with.

  • Access denied by Business Data Connectivity when trying to add myself to the BDC Metadata Store

    Originally I was trying to create a ECT in SharePoint Designer 2010, on the production server, and every attempt fails with the error "Access denied by Business Data Connector" and I found the post "Deploying a BDC Model project to SharePoint 2010"
    which suggests that I may not have rights to the BCD Metadata Store: "It seems that an account are you using to deploy solution doesn't have sufficient permission in the BDC Metadata Store."
    So I tried to set myself (individual windows user) up to have rights via:  "Central Administration->Application Management->Manage Service Application->Business Data Connectivity Service->Click Set Metada Store Permission
    on the ribbon->Set Permission you need and tick the checkbox "Propagate permission to all"; and pressing the OK button an error dialog displays stating Access denied by Business Data Connectivity.
    What should I check next?

    I'm in a situation similar to MarkDavisHQ's.  I was able to get the Metadata Store working by:
    Making the BDC app pool identity a local administrator (before that, I was seeing lots of WcfSendRequeust like this in the logs - but I'm still not sure this escalation was necessary.   I have since removed the app pool identity from local administrators
    and it ):

  • Error "Subscription Expired" when starting MUSE

    I recently installed MUSE CC as part of the ADOBE CREATIVE CLOUD. I have a current membership and are currently working with InDesign CC, Illustrator CC, Photoshop CC and even Dreamweaver CC in the same machine. I used the installer as with any other program but I get the attached  error when starting MUSE CC. Again, it does happen only with ADOBE MUSE, I am able to work with any other CC application. Moreover, I installed a trial version of MUSE CC on another computer following the suggestion of a ADOBE Support Rep, and I got the same error. I called again, and the support rep asked me to call on Monday!.
    Does anybody knows how to fix this bug? Many thanks in advance
    Best regards

    Hi,
    I already replied:
      - Mac OS X 10.9 but I also use a Dell Windows Laptop
       - No proxies or firewalls
       - I am able to use any other CC app such as Dreamweaver CC, Photoshop CC, Indesign CC, etc.
    This is the error log:

  • SQL Server does not exist or access denied - periodic error

    Hi There,
    For the last week or so, I have been getting periodic errors on my sites powered by MSSQL databases. The error message is as follows:
    Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80004005'
    [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.
    Usually, a quick refresh, and everything works fine again.
    My host doesn't know what has caused the issue, but has dug up this microsoft link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/907264
    Most of that tech speak is beyond me! I use Dreamweaver - does anybody know if the standard dreamweaver connections or cursors contravene the advice on that page, and if so how to fix it?
    If not, does anybody know where to look to solve this issue?
    Thanks,
    Dan

    I had this same problem and on a hunch I deleted the brackets
    so that the connection string instead of being,
    "Persist Security Info=False;Data
    Source=[THESERVER\SQLEXPRESS];Initial Catalog=[AdventureWorks];User
    ID=[ATEST];Password=[kjdkjdkjd]"
    is now,
    "Persist Security Info=False;Data
    Source=THESERVER\SQLEXPRESS;Initial Catalog=AdventureWorks;User
    ID=ATEST;Password=kjdkjdkjd"
    This was in Dreamweaver 8.

  • Error code -10810 when starting up any app

    Getting error code -10810 when I click to start any app in the Application folder. Only thing different I did this morning was upgrading coconutBattery. I'm guessing that's the culprit but would like to know what the error code means.

    From LSInfo.h in LaunchServices.framework
    kLSUnknownErr = -10810 /* Unexpected internal error */
    Essentially, Launch Services is hosed. I would suggest blowing away your Launch Services cache.
    1) Quit all running apps
    2) Go to /Library/Caches
    3) Move any file to the trash that has "com.apple.LaunchServices" in its name. (i.e. 'com.apple.LaunchServices-0230.csstore')
    4) Go to ~/Library/Preferences
    5) Move com.apple.LaunchServices.plist to the Trash
    6) Restart
    Hope that helps.

    When starting the DB adapter i am receiving the following error:

    The table i am inserting into using the DB adapter does exist in the subscribing DB. The only thing i can think of is some table/view is missing within the hub repository itself.
    Please help.
    Thanks!

    Initially I would try calling the subscribe package standalone in SQL*plus or TOAD just to check its not somekind of config problem...
    The subscribing adapter trys calling the subscribing package passing in the message as an oracle data type.
    I would write a small pl/sql wrapper that calls you subscribing package outside of the runtime Interconnect environment. If this all works and you can insert data into the table then it maybe something to do with the metadata in the repository and then i'd go along with Ian's suggestion.
    But usually if you can successfully use iStudio to edi things then usually the repository is OK.
    Also from your log you can see that it has picked up the message and is trying to call the packaged/procedure so it looks like the adapter is working OK.
    Cheers Stuart.
