Access webdynpro value from PDK

Hi ,
Can i know how to access a value set in webdynpro from PDK java?
Example
from webdynpro--
     WDScopeUtil.put(WDScopeType.CLIENTSESSION_SCOPE, "BP_ID", "value");
i would like to access the BP_ID value from PDK java. Can i know what is the method ?
Thanks in advance.
Sujith

Just to keep you guys informed... found its not possible to solve the above issue because of underlying architecture differences.
Hence to track a session / user, better use cookies which is possible both in pdk and webdynpro.

    I am using SP18
    Please help me in this issue

    Noel,
    From your PDK aplication you will be providing the WD URL along with the parameter.
    Say in your PDK application you redirect to http://portalserver:50000/irj/local/webdynpro/sap.com/test?mypram=1
    In WD you fetch this parameter using WDProtocolAdapter class.
    Check below links for more information.

  • Accessing JSTL values from JSP

    I've run into a problem I'm not sure has a solution. Could be bad design on my part, or just a poor imagination. If this has been answered previously, please point me to the post.
    I am using some JSTL to do a SQL query and displaying the records in a select box:
    <sql:query var="aResults" sql="select * from TYPE_STATE_LIST where tslAllowable=1" />
    <c:forEach var="oRecord" items="${aResults.rows}">
      <option value="<c:out value="${oRecord.tslID}" />"><c:out value="${oRecord.tslFullName}" /></option>
    </c:forEach>I want to be able to reset their selection to the value they entered when the form is refreshed, though. I'm trying to figure out how to grab the oRecord value from the JSTL and use it in a JSP IF statement:
    <% if( oRecord.tslID==request.getParameter("state") ) { %>
      <option selected value="<c:out value="${oRecord.tslID}" />"><c:out value="${oRecord.tslFullName}" /></option>
    <% } else { %>
      <option value="<c:out value="${oRecord.tslID}" />"><c:out value="${oRecord.tslFullName}" /></option>
    <% } %>I thought about using the JSTL <c:choose> tag instead, but then how would I access the previous value with request.getParameter()?
    Any suggestions?

    ${param.state}It's better if you place the sql query into a class rather than display it in the jsp, it's more flexible and programmable.

  • How to access a value from "List of Values" by giving a name?

    I have a "List Of Values" defined in my BI Report. It comprises list of label-value pairs.
    I have defined a parameter :p_Value for the above "List Of Values" defnition. this parameter is used in datasource sql defnition to filter the query results. I configured a template which has a table that shows all the parameters used for filtering query results. If I give <?$p_Value?> in the template then the parameter value is rendered on it. But I want the "name" of the parameter and not the value. Can anybody tell me how to access name of the parameter which refers to one of value in "List of Value" defnition?

    option 1:
    Can you get the value from the DB in the report sql ?
    You have the code, inside the report query, if you can get the decoded value form that
    option2:
    create another paramater, LOV and query, and make it as hidden, and use the first :param_1_value in the lov query in the second param and decode the value.
    Now , you can refer the :PARAM_2_value in template which will have decoded value.

  • Accessing Selected Value from Payment Terms (Item 47) in AR Invoice Form

    Hi,
    Have just started working in SAP Business One and SDK adn would really appreciate any help I could receive.
    I'm trying to access the selected value from Payment Terms field(Item 47) in the AR Invoice Form.
    Have successfully managed to do this against Customer Code field using the following code-:
    Private Sub eventHandlerTest(ByVal FormUID As String, pVal As SAPbouiCOM.ItemEvent, BubbleEvent As Boolean)
        Dim frm As SAPbouiCOM.Form
        Dim itmCustomer As SAPbouiCOM.Item
        Dim edtCustomer As SAPbouiCOM.EditText
        Dim itmRemark As SAPbouiCOM.Item
        Dim edtRemark As SAPbouiCOM.EditText
        Dim FieldNo As String
        Set frm = SBO_Application.Forms(FormUID)
        Set itmCustomer = frm.Items(pVal.ItemUID)
        Set edtCustomer = itmCustomer.Specific
        If UCase(edtCustomer.Value) = "CALECH1" Then
            FieldNo = "16"
            Set itmRemark = frm.Items(FieldNo)
            Set edtRemark = itmRemark.Specific
            edtRemark.String = "E"
        End If
    End Sub
    However when doing the same thing for Payment Terms I get the error "Run-time error '13': type mismatch" on the line
    Set edtOrderType = itmOrderType.Specific
    Thanks

    Hi,
    On the new invoice's form item 47 is ComboBox and I guess it's stay in the same type when you open existing invoice. So try to work with this item like with ComboBox. But if you need only get some information about existing invoice, you don't need to fork with the screen objects - you can get all you need from the DI Document object. Open Document object with Invoice type, find invoice and check PaymentGroupCode property.

  • Prob in accessing DataSourece value from netui-data:repeater after submit

    HI all,
              I am new to this WLWS. PLease guide me in the following scenario:
              I am retrieving an array of records (activityDetails[]) from a Db control and setting this to the datasource property of a netui-data:repeater. Basically I am populating a list of records in my jsp page which works fine.
              But When a submit the page, I am not able to access that array of records from the action method difined in my controller.jpf file, even though I have declared the array in the Form bean.
              And I am not sure if have set the proper datasource for the checkBox defined within the records. The purpose of this checkbox is to select the records form the list to be saved in the database. Is there any better way of achieving the same.
              It's throwing Null pointer exception in the method called

    Personally, I have had a hard time doing what you are asking for using netui tags. I have had the same case, and asked the person in my team to just return a collection of value objects and then iterate through it without the repeater tag. To use the checkbox, I have had to use a String[].

  • Access textfield value from other class

    Hi guys,
    I got a little newbie-problem to solve.
    To say it simple I have the following code (2 classes):
    @interface class1 : UIViewController {
    IBOutlet UITextField *textField;
    @property(nonatomic, retain) UITextField *textField;
    @implementation
    @synthesize textField;
    @implementation class2
    class1 *class = [[class1 alloc] init];
    [[class textField] setText:@"text"];
    My problem is, that the text will not show up in the textfield.
    If I set the text in class1 everything works fine, but not when I try to set it from class2. The connections between the classes work well, because by using code completion it finds the textfield. I am not used to use property and synthesize, maybe thats the problem?
    Thanks for help,
    Krissi

    I'm more familiar with Mac programming and have just started playing with the iPhone SDK so I'm still trying to get my head around how iPhone apps are structured. It's a little hard to give you a definite answer without knowing more about your "class2" and how your xib file(s) are set up and perhaps which template you used to create your iPhone app.
    Assuming your xib file is named "class1.xib", it looks like the code you posted should load the xib. To check: set a breakpoint at that line, run in the debugger, once you stop at that line click the "Step over" button and see if the pointer value for your class1 variable gets updated.
    When you run your app are you even seeing the view with the text field on the screen? It may be that you've loaded the xib but you need to add it to your window. Here's a code snippet from the "MoveMeAppDelegate.m" file in Apple's "MoveMe" sample code for iPhone. This is from the "applicationDidFinishLaunching" method where the delegate object is loading a xib file and adding it to the window:
    UIViewController *aViewController = [[UIViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"MoveMeView"
    bundle:[NSBundle mainBundle]];
    self.viewController = aViewController;
    [aViewController release];
    // Add the view controller's view as a subview of the window
    UIView *controllersView = [viewController view];
    [window addSubview:controllersView];
    [window makeKeyAndVisible];
    Hope this helps,
    Steve

  • Accessing text value from dropdownlist

    I have a dropdown list whose selected value is to be accessed in a method. I have used this.getIstdcddl().getValue(), but it returns the index number of the dropdown and not the actual value of it. I would be glad if someone could answer this problem.

    As createValueBinding() is a depricated method you can use the following.
    Here is the code..
    DCBindingContainer dcBindings =
    (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    DCIteratorBinding iterBind =
    (DCIteratorBinding)dcBindings.get("MyView1Iterator");
    if (this.reasonDropDown.getValue() != null) {
    int rowIndex =
    Integer.parseInt(this.reasonDropDown.getValue().toString());
    Row rw = iterBind.getRowAtRangeIndex(rowIndex);
    if (rw != null) {
    reasonCode = rw.getAttribute("AttributeName").toString().trim();
    Hope this helps...

  • Accessing env-entry value from a java class

    Hi,
    I have my env-entry element declared in ejb-jar.xml like this

    I think this is because env-entry has access to only EJB to maintain security?
    or can env-entry elemenets cab be accessed outside the EJB and some thing I am doing wrong here?
    can some one help me here?

    Hey Frank,
    The JCo, DI API and DB are all on PL 18. I have found that the error only occurs for one business partner, and that business partner had a service contract added to it the day before the error started to occur. Also the business partner in question is the only business partner with a service contract which would explain why it is the only one experiencing these problems. It could be a coincidence but I will let you know what the outcome is.

    The java:comp/env namespace is local to the J2EE component (ie the EJB).
              You could certainly have a business method that returned the value and call the business method from a java class.
              Or your EJB could lookup the env-entry in JNDI and store it in another data structure.

  • Need to select one from multiple values from a parameter memory area

    Hello,
    I am accessing transaction CKM3N, and, by using the old/classical debugger, it's possible to see that the parameter ID BDTJ (2nd box of the Period/Year parameter line) contains not one but 2 values (in the old/classical debugger version, go to GOTO->System Areas-> Sap Memory):
    BDTJ                (  4)G <2009>
                                  L <2008>
    I want to access the value from the line that contains 'L', not 2009, from the one that holds 'G'.
    How do I differentiate between them, how do I access one specific value when a single parameter ID has more than one value assigned to it ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Avraham

    Ah, youre actually asking different things.
    In your topic title, you say youre running separate instances
    In your body text, you say you are under different user/schema
    So tell me, do you have more than one database or not? How many entries in your TNS file?
    I would say, for "multiple database instances"
    SELECT
      a.id, b.id
    FROM
      tableA a
      INNER JOIN
      tableB@OTHER_DATABASE_LINK_NAME b  <--NOTE!
      USING(id)And of course you will have to look up CREATE PUBLIC DATABASE LINK sql..
