          Hi,
          1) what is your "weblogic.httpd.documentRoot=????"
          2) if it is "public_html" put your jsp there.

  • How do I access my picture files via Finder after I upgraded to Yosemite?

    I upgraded to Yosemite and now I have lost the ability to directly access my picture files via the Finder. There is now no longer a Picture icon in the Finder. Help, huge problem for me as I do a lot of picture editing via Photoshop Elements. I know the pics are still there as the Canon photo viewer shows them.

    Pictures are normally in the top level directory under your username. If you want that directory to be in the Finder sidebar, you can open Finder, then click Preferences on the menu named Finder and then click Sidebar in the Preferences window and put a checkmark in front of Pictures in the list of Favorites.

  • How to call a jsp file from an servlet and access the jsp file objects??

    Hi everybody
    I have an jsp file where it contains a vector object with some data and I have a servlet that needs to access this vector object . How can my servlet call for this jsp page and get the vector object. ?
    then an applet will be calling this servlet to get some other object created with the data contained within this vector object...so each time Applet ask the servlet for the object the servlet need to call for this jsp page somehow
    My main question is the communication servlet-jsp
    please if u have any clue I will appreciate it
    thanks

    Hi
    There are several ways to share objects between JSPs/Servlets.
    You can share objects by putting them in the request-in which case the objects lifetime is limited by that of the request, Another way is to store them in the session, againg the lifetime is limited by the lifetime of the session. To have objects that have to persistent over the application life-span use the servletContext to store the objects.
    Any good tutorial should help you get started. Please see the link below for a tutorial on Servlets/JSPs
    Note: Local variables in the JSP cannot be shared with other components as their scope is limited to that particular Page/Servlet.

  • Accessing linked Word files via Sharepoint

    Hi all,
    when using Sharepoint to host a RoboHelp project (via version control), is it possible to link to Word files that are hosted by sharepoint in the same library, perhaps even in other libraries? Maybe somebody can confirm whether this works.
    Robert

    Hi Robert
    Are you able to open the Word document using a standard URL in a browser? If so, and since RoboHelp doesn't appear to like it for whatever reason, perhaps you could use a trick I used to use back in my corporate days.
    Create a redirect page that opens the URL or the path. Basically you create an HTML page and modify the underlying code as follows:
    In the Head section somewhere (where doesn't matter) you insert a META tag that looks like this:
    <meta HTTP-EQUIV=refresh CONTENT="0;URL=First_Topic.htm">
    Just replace the part where it says First_Topic.htm with the actual path or URL that works.

  • Accessing an Apex app via a url from an email

    We have an issue tracking application which sends emails out to the applicable users throughout the request life cycle as action is taken. We would like to include in each email a link to the application with the applicable request, and upon login the user would be taken directly to the applicable request instead of page 1 of the application.
    My question is how can set I this up so that the user goes from the email, authenticates via login, and then is taken directly to the request. We also have session state enabled, would we need to disable this?

    Ed - Just try it, it should work. Can you show an example of such a URL here?
    We also have session state enabled, would we need to disable this?
    Session State Protection? No, but the checksum type used in generating the link would have to be a "public or private bookmark" type. The checksum type can be specified in the call to apex_util.prepare_url.
    My advice is to get the generic deep-linking behavior working first, then work on getting the SSP checksummed URL pieces working.

  • Failed to retrieve file via FileDescriptor URL

    Hi,
    I'm trying to retrieve and display image file uploaded to
    FilePublisher example provided in the SDK using FileDescriptor url
    property. It doesn't seem to work - How can I actually retrieve the
    file uploaded in AFCS for further processing (instead of
    downloading it)?

    Hi Flexcogitos,
    It turns out there are a couple of pieces of FileDescriptor
    that you need to combine to get the full path :
    fileDesc.url+fileDesc.filename
    should give you the right source for your image.
    hope that helps,

  • Parsing html files via an url

    Hi,
    I already have a Java program that is able to read in html files that are stored on my computers hard drive. Now I would like to expand its functionality by being able to parse html files straight from the web.
    For example, when the program is run, I would like to be able to give it an url for a given website. Then, I would like to be able to parse the html file that the link goes to.
    I've searched the forum, but have not been able to find anything of any real use. If you could offer an overview or point me towards a resource, I would be very greatful.

    If you've done things right, you have a HTML reader/parser that takes an InputStream. For Files, this would be a FileInputStream.
    For URLs, this would be the InputStream you get from URLConnection.getInputStream(). You can get a URLConnection by calling openConnection() on a URL instance (created from your input url of course).

  • Hyperion Performance Scorecard - Accessing via parameterized URL

    Hi everyone,
    I would like to access Hyperion Performance Scorecard via a URL using predefined parameters. We want to create matrix in Interactive Reporting which will act a menu. The menu will consist of products in the rows of the matrix and regions in the columns. If the use clicks on a specific cell in the matrix that pertains to a specific product and region I want to then use a URL to access Hyperion Performance Scorecard with the region and product as parameters which in turn will take me to a specific strategy map or scorecard in Hyperion Performance Scorecard.
    Does anyone know how to do this or point me to documentation that will provide insight on this?

  • Storing .jsp files in the web-inf directory

    Has anyone ever heard about storing JSP files in the web-inf directory instead of the web app root directory.
    Apparently it improves security.
    If this is so, how is the user suppose to access the jsp file since I thought that users were not able to access what is stored in the web-inf directory.
    Any thoughts
    Thanks
    Nat

    I didn't tyr this but I think it is possible. You can do it using <servlet-mapping/> as you do with any other servlet.
    For example include lines below, in web.xml of web-inf,
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>ReportRouter</servlet-name>
    <jsp-file>/web-inf/jsp/ReportRouter.jsp</jsp-file>
    <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>ReportRouter</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/myrouter</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    This may work. Don't you think so?

  • Using Tomcat. Where do i keep JSP files?

    Let's say i'm in ...../webapps/abc folder. Where can I keep my JSP pages. Is there any folder hierarchy from this point? There's a WEB-INF folder within my current foder that contains the web.xml file.

    You may want to read this:
    http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-5.0-doc/appdev/deployment.html
    It is entirely up to you. There are no real standards.
    The webapps/abc folder will be the "root" of your webapp.
    You can create folders as you like under it, and put the jsps in there.
    You use that to group functionality within your application.
    so /webapps/abc/hello.jsp -> http://localhost:/8080/abc/hello.jsp
    /webapps/abc/stuff/meaningOfLife.jsp -> http://localhost:/8080/abc/stuff/meaningOfLife.jsp
    If you have a front controller servlet (like struts) and don't want anybody to directly access your JSPs by typing the urls directly, hide the jsps under the WEB-INF folder (in a subfolder of course like /WEB-INF/jsp)
    Anything under WEB-INF is not directly browsable, but can be forwarded/included by a request dispatcher.

  • Mapping WSDL file to a URL

    Hi,
    I have successfully deployed the webservice examples included with S1AS7. I would now like to test the interoperability with .NET clients but I have noticed that I have no way of accessing the wsdl file through a URL such as : http://localhost/jaxrpc-simple/HelloWorld?wsdl
    The wsdl file exists because I have used the -keep option with xrpcc.
    I have even tried placing it in the WEB-INF folder but it doesn't seem to work.
    How can I map the wsdl to a URL and is there a way of not having to do it manually each time.
    Thanks,
    Tom

    Hi Thomas,
    I was expecting http://localhost/jaxrpc-simple/HelloWorld?wsdl for generating the wsdl file too.
    In order to work with .NET, I did the following
    1. create wsdl file using -keep option
    2. run wsdl command to generate webservice a proxy classe
    c:\> wsdl HelloWorld.wsdl
    This will create HelloWorldService.cs. You can review the source code and change URL if you need to.
    HellowWorldService ws = new HelloWorldService();
    ws.Url = ... // set to your webservice url
    or optionally you can deploy wsdl file in war file (i.e. copy HelloWorld.wsdl to your root context)
    index.html
    HelloWorld.wsdl
    WEB-INF/web.xml
    etc.
    Assuming the context name is jaxrpc-simple
    c:\> wsdl http://localhost/jaxrpc-simple/HelloWorld.wsdl
    But you still have to manually update the server information in wsdl file. I prefer ?wsdl approach (like WebLogic or Apache AXIS). I hope SUN remedy this problem.
