Accessing an Activex Component in JSP page

Hi,
I am trying to disable header and footer of window's page setup. I am doing that successfully with HTML page. Where as while i am trying the same with JSP it is not disabling the Header and Footer. The code is as shown below :
<script type="text/vbscript">
Dim WSHShell
Set WSHShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
WSHShell.RegWrite "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\PageSetup\header", ""
WSHShell.RegWrite "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\PageSetup\footer", ""
</script>
I think it is not recognizing VBscript.
Can anybody tell me how to disable the Header and Footer with JSP page.
Thanks and Best Regards,

Per the specification, I have set the application
level resource
bundle
as follows:
<application>
<message-bundle>com.awolart.MessageResources</message->
<locale-config>
<default-locale>en</default-locale>
</locale-config>
</application>However, I can not find any references in the
specification on how to
access this resource bundle in a jsp.The <message-bundle> element is only useful if you want to override the message strings for the standard conversion and validation error messages produced by the JavaServer Faces implementation (they tell the implementation where to find the replacement text). It is unnecessary to specify this for application-specific resource bundles.

  • Can't access a Bean from a JSP page !

    Hello everybody,
    I work with Oracle 8i 8.1.7, it means Oracle HTTP Server + Oracle JSP 1.1.0.0.0. But i don't use the Oracle Servlet Engine.
    In this context, i try to load ` JSP page, which instantiate a Bean. But it is impossible to access to this bean !...
    1) In jserv.properties file, i have mentionned the CLASSPATH to beans directory, as said in the OracleJSP documentation :
    wrapper.classpath=D:\...\myBeansDirectory\
    2) i have copied the .class file of my bean in the bean directory ...
    So did i forget something ?
    Seeking desperatly help !
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Did you restart the HTTP listener after adding the CLASSPATH to the jserv.properties file? The change in jserv.properties (and in any other configuration files) will take effect only after the listener is restarted.
    Good luck,
    Srinivas.

  • ClassNotFoundException when trying to access applet (jar) from a jsp page?

    I have my applet in a jar file and I am specifying the applet tag in my jsp page as follows:
    <applet code="website.utils.DragDropUploadApplet.class" name="DragDropApp" width="17" height="17" archive="utils.jar" codebase="." ></applet>
    I tried with and without the codebase. The jar file is at the same location as the jsp page which has the above applet tag, however I get a ClassNotFoundException in the Sun Java Console in Internet Explorer. Any inputs on resolving this will be much appreciated.

    Hi mshah101,
    This can happen if the applet is compiled using an higher version of java and the browser is pointing to an older version (even if minor version number is higher)

  • Access @Variable('DBUSER') in a JSP Page

    Is there a way to access the @Variable('DBUSER') within a JSP page.  We are using this variable as the client ID in our WEBi reports and Analytics.  We would also like a way to tell what client is logged in when using a Web Page analytic on a dashboard (JSP Page).  Is there a way to do this via the @Variable('DBUSER') or another method (SDK, etc)?

    Hi use
    String s=request.getParameter("Text Filed Name");
    do this for all the Text Field..... Then use preparedSatatment for inserting that data inside the database.

  • Integrate flash component into JSP page

    Hi,
    I need to integrate a flash component into my JSP page. flash component is used to put signature via mouse drag. the signature that is put should be captured and stored in DB. can anyone help me how to do it. Thanks in advance...

    I thought about including it in an outputText tag but i never tried it because the output text shouldn't be rendered as html code (by definition).
    Thank you for your brilliant solution, it works fine now.

  • Number of component on jsp page

    Hi,
    Is there any limit on number of components(elements) i can have on jsp page.
    when i try to add a component (even object spacer) after a certain number of component, it does not display the page.
    If i want to add more component, how can i add after allowed number of component.

    Hi Saravanan,
    You could use the portal activity report, see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/58/728ea01cf64fff996b827f2a06f9b1/frameset.htm
    Anyhow, if you have developed the iView by yourself, and you are only interested in the hits on that iView, you could implement a counter by yourself, but that should consider cluster environments and how to aggregate the data of these. All this is implemented in the portal activity report, so if that fits somehow, that should be the easiest way for you to go.
    Hope it helps
    Detlev

  • Jsf component in jsp page

    Hi sir,
    I have developed one jsf application where jsp page has been created , and jsf components were embedded. I m little bit confused regarding,
    1. is there no jsp components as its own.
    2. if I create jsf page instead of jsp, then can i get all the functionalities of jsp to avoid the jsp extension.
    I m getting lots of help from all of you. so i m grateful to you.

  • How can JSP access a COM+ component

    I have to develop JSP pages that leverage existing Microsoft COM+ components. Can anyone suggest a good resource or provide me with a quick explanation/overview of how I would access a COM+ component from JSP? I'm getting exhausted searching the internet for answers only to come up empty. Thanks...

    I use Neva Object (www.nevaobject.com) for this sort of thing. This is a commercial product. The product does what it says it does and that is as far as I will endorse it.
    Since purchasing it I came accross
    http://staff.develop.com/halloway/code/jawin.html
    This looks like it will do much of the same thing but is more suitable for scriptable COM objects. It is also an open source license.
    I don't have any experience with jawin but the support community looks strong. Checking out their website will be worth your time.
    Good luck
    Bill

  • Accessing bean attributes in a JSP

    Hi,
    I am sending a bean from a Servlet to a JSP as follows:
    request.setAttribute("newclientTEST", ro_client);
    this.getServletContext().getRequestDispatcher("/jsp/private/research/UserAdded.jsp").forward(request,
    response);I can then access the bean in UserAdded.jsp page as follows:
    <jsp:getProperty name="newclientTEST" property="username" />This works fine and returns the username from the bean but I am a little confused why this is working. From what i have read about JSPs so far in order to access properties of a bean in a JSP we first of all have to make a reference to the bean as follows:
    <jsp:useBean id="newclientTEST" scope="request" class="ie.scourced.beans.PrivateClientBean" />Why does it work for me when I don't refer to the bean using useBean??
    Thanks

  • How can I use an activeX component that has no creatable objects

    I have got an activeX component that I want to use with LabVIEW. When I want to access that activeX component via LabVIEW I see no creatable objects from that component. If I select one of the non creatable objects, everything seems to be fine and I can build my application. I can see all properties and methods of the object as expected. But when I start the application it fails with error 3005 saying 'object specified is not creatable...'. Does anyone know a solution for this problem?
    Thanks
    Rainer

    Did you ever resolve your problem?
    I am having exactly the same problem. I want to use labview 7.0 to control a 3rd party's application (which controls a lab instrument). I can see all the methods and properties I need, but only if I uncheck "show creatable objects only" on the relevant type library.
    I have a working visual basic (as an xls macro) example of how to control the 3rd party application and it uses the non-creatable objects quite happily.
    But in the VB example VB first uses GetObject to connect to a running instance of the 3rd party's application using GetObject. As I understand it, this checks the Running Object Table (ROT) to return an interface pointer.
    "COMNAME" in the GetObject (, COMNAME) used in the VB application I can see listed in the Windows registry, but cannot find it (and I have looked!) anywhere in the "select object from type library" navigation dialog window.
    I think it is because they are dependant objects, but how to I generate an automation refnum for them if I can't find the higher level object? Perhaps I should use CINs?

  • How to Link another JSP Page in the same portal component

    Hi Guys,
      I am a new guy to SAP, currently, I want to add href link to another JSP in the same component, so I used <a href="<%=webpath%>/jsp/AboutPage.jsp">, but obviously, the link can not display target page due to privilege restriction, does anyone know how to resolve this problem? thanks very much!
      Best Regards
      James

    Thanks srinivas,
       Sorry for late response, too busy yesterday.
       Currently, I want to create a URL link in the page which links another JSP page in the same portal component, but the problem is this JSP page is under PORTAL-INF folder, so due to privilege problem, I can not create the link like the following:
    <a href="jsp/test.jsp">Link</a>
       I konw if I move test.jsp out of folder PORTAL-INF, the above way should work, but then, I found the JSP page can not access componentRequest and get resource bundle object.
      Am I clear, please let me know, thanks!
    Regards.
    James
