Accessing The Names in the Data Neighborhood From Within Visual Basic
I would like to have my application get the names that are listed in the Measurement & Automation Data Neighborhood.
There is not a function for this exposed in the ActiveX controls. I do have a utility DLL that should do it for you. There are two functions you will use in this DLL:
int GetNumberOfChannels(long* num);
int GetChannelNameByIndex(long index, char* nameBuffer, long* bufferSize);
The first fucntion returns the number of virtual channels and the second function retrieves the name and name length of a specific channel by index. They are written in C style so they can be used from any compiler.

Access to input meta tag data directly from within coding view in Muse?
The only thing holding me back from signing up for MUSE is the fact that from what I've heard, one is unable to access the coding view directly in order to edit title, keywords, description, etc. While there may be a feature to allow the designer to input the words into a "text box", I have found this simply is not enough. Without having direct access to the code, the most beautifully designed site will most likely never show up in any search (be it Google, Bing, etc).
I hope you will have a code view in Muse in the near future.

This is not possible in the existing setup. But there are crude/dirty workarounds. Use custom controller to bind data from the second view to one of the custom controller's nodes. In the first view, create an attribute - type ref to your view implementation class in your context class and the node class. In the method wd_create_context of the implementation class, set this attribute.

Unable to access the data and table fields from handheld

I've created a Testing.sdf file on the local pc using SQL Server Management Studio, creating table, fields and insert some data. in local pc i can access the the data as normal. the problem is after i moved the file to handheld device i

Unable to access the data from Data Management Gateway: Query timeout expired
Hi,
Since 2-3 days the data refresh is failing on our PowerBI site. I checked below:
1. The gateway is in running status.
2. Data source is also in ready status and test connection worked fine too.
3. Below is the error in System Health -
Failed to refresh the data source. An internal service error has occurred. Retry the operation at a later time. If the problem persists, contact Microsoft support for further assistance.
Error code: 4025
4. Below is the error in Event Viewer.
Unable to access the data from Data Management Gateway: Query timeout expired. Please check 1) whether the data source is available 2) whether the gateway on-premises service is running using Windows Event Logs.

RichaNever mind, figured out there was a lock on SQL table which caused all the problems. Once I released the lock it PowerPivot refresh started working fine.

I have an external hard drive from my time capsule that stopped working on me. I am attempting to access the data with a hard drive reader on my MAC. I am able to see the drive in disk utility and under system info USB. But I am unable to access the data and it does not show on the desktop when connected.
Ok if disk utility was able to verify the drive I doubt there is any problem.. are you trying to open a TM backup??
You need to mount the sparsebundle then check the actual info inside the bundle.
Don't use disk warrior.. if the disk has verified then unless you deliberately deleted files there is nothing that is going to do.

But if you have copied info to the TC that is now gone.. and the disk is ok.. I am not sure.. the TC will not have deleted the files itself. -

I guess you are trying to connect from the R3/ECC to the Portal Server.
Are these two systems in the same network? Do you have usernames (valid and fully authorized) in both systems? What is the OS on which these two systems are housed?
Please provide these details to proceed further.

In my application, I tried to save the data captured from SCOPE, but could store only 200 bytes. I've taken the Memo data type for the field in database. I want to store all data ( 4 channels) in one field & retrieve back and display on the XY Graph.

There are plenty of other ways to do it.. but issues to do with Apple not using a dynamic DNS client so if your ISP does not allocate you a static public IP there is no way to find it, if the public ip rotates as they are designed to do hourly or daily.
Do a google search, remote access time capsule..
Or use the more like this on the right hand side... there are plenty of posts and even youtube video which go right through it.
BTW your school system may simply block the port.. if I was a school IT admin.. I would. You are dragging files across to the internal school network bypassing the firewall.. that is unacceptable risk to the whole school system. -
How can I access the Attribute Values from the Search Region

I have a table which contains Company id, department id, and PositonId. For a particular Company and Department there may be multiple records.
I have to pupulate a table which contains the position and other details that comes under a particular Department and Position based on the selection in the Three comboBoxes.
Also I have to populate a select many Shuttle to add new postions and records under a particular Department.
I created a query panel *(Search Region)* for the serch and a table to display the data. That is working fine.
Now the issue is I am using a view criteria to populate the shuttle with two bind variables ie, DepartmentId and CompanyId.
If the serach will return a resuktant set in the table it will also pupulate the correct records, otherwise ie, if the if the serch result is empty the corresponding iterator and the attribute is setting as null.
SO I want to access the attribute values from the Search Region itsef to populate the shuttle.
I don't know how can I access the data from the Search Region.

I cannot access the iTunes store from any of my computers. When I updated to v. 10.7 it made my laptop unable to access just like with my two desktops. I have installed and uninstalled numerous times.
Nothing happens. iTunes just hangs up every time, saying "Accessing iTunes Store." It does that for a very, very long time, then nothing. Here is what happens when I run diagnostics.

I have updated my mac from snow leopard to mountain lion 3 days back. I had some important data in my library folder and it got overwritten. Is there any way i can get the data back from my snow leopard library folder?
I tried mackeeper to recover files but it could not. Any other way any one has tried to recover a system library folder after OS upgrade?No, it doesn't store a clone. You would have needed to make one with either SuperDuper or CarbonCopy Cloner.
If the files were in your ~/Library folder then they may still be there. As I said, you can access it by
going to your Finder "Go" menu hold the option key to choose "Library". I wouldn't think an upgrade would overwrite anything in ~/Library.
If you have a Time Machine backup you may also be able to use that to retrieve them. -
My MacBook Pro is not recognizing my external hard drive. The hard drive is listed in disk utilities but an icon does not pop up and I cannot access the data. Is there any way to resolve this?
WE know Disk Warrior is more reliable, hence more useful, and should be in any disk mechanics toolchest.
For the record, I don't know anything of the kind. I have yet to see evidence that Disk Warrior is useful at all.
What I do know is that you seem to take every opportunity you get to promote it in these forums. Do you work for Alsoft?
Let me be a little more explicit. My opinion is that Disk Warrior is a waste of money if one has backups. If a journaled HFS directory is so badly corrupted that it can't be repaired by Disk Utility, then the volume should be reformatted and restored from backup, which has the same effect as running DW, but is probably faster and doesn't cost $99.
