Add Existing DP back to Site?

Hi,
we had a configuration where DPs were configured to pull their content from a secondary site. After a failed site recovery of the secondary site and having to delete the secondary site and reinstall it, all corresponding DPs were automatically removed from
SCCM (why!?).
We now have the problem, that we would like to add these already existing DPs back to SCCM, as the content is already on the servers and we don't want a content transfer to initiate, as our WAN to these specific sites is extremely slow. Is there any possibility
to add the DPs back to SCCM without having to reassign the DP role and go through a content transfer all over again!?

thanks for the reply. I still don't understand the logic of that behaviour. It was a Secondary Site - why completely remove the DPs from the entire system and not reassign them to the Primary Site or at least keep them in the ConfigMgr Environment? Why remove
them completely from the entire system? 
Oh well... learnt it the hard way this time then -.-

Edit: Re-adding the DP sadly initiates a complete content transfer as soon as the DP is added to the appropriate DP Group, even though the entire content is already on the DP. Will try prestaged content.

    Please check if the code that you have used for banner still exists , as there is no other reason the banner should still show up on page.
    You can check with a new page , if its same then verify the code that you have integrated.

  • Adding an e-Commerce template to existing BC online web site?

    Has anyone out there started with a Muse design, and after completeing it, then did add an ecommerce template?
    There are many ways to get to the mountian... I don't see a path yet.
    Conern is for menu integration with the existing client content/web site (created in Muse) and eCommerce Template.
    Is this integration possible? Key question. 
    If so though what interface: BC, Muse, Dreamweaver, Other?
    In other words:
    Q: How does one join an active client muse site to a BC eComerce Template: what is the best process GIVEN initial client design is in MUSE?
    >>>I am going around and around missing the best practice or process to accomlish taking a MUSE on line web site, and ADDING and eCommerce Template so the store is there too.
    IS THERE A SIMPLE WAY TO LINK A MUSE SITE THAT IS ACTIVE, TO A BC ECOMMERCE TEMPLATE AND HAVE THE MENUS AUTOMATICALLY ADJUST?
    OR  DO i have to do something different?
    It appears to me that going from a Muse Content created site on BC, to having that same BC site augmented with e-commerce, needs to be done in the BC on line interface versus Dreamweaver or Muse.
    Perhaps it is a matter of order.... template first but then how to use MUSE to do the front end...
    ????? I must be missing some simple concept here....
    Getting ready to experiment and hoping for some pointers as I start the challenge of the process. After looking on line and asking questions of BC and others... i have a couple of man days into this scenario.  Hoping for insight from the BC universe! lol... thanks y'all.

    just attempting to find help. I am new to asking for help in this system,
    but desperate to move ahead...  BC is the product that is most important
    here: Muse is great ... however...  I can do without muse... but can not
    accomplish this project without the functions of BC.

    If you are having WiFi problems it is necessary to isolate whether the problem is with your network or your iPad. Note: Do NOT consider your network to be blameless if some other devices can connect to it.
    First, test your iPad on some other WiFi networks: a friends, Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, etc.
    If it works well there then the problem is probably with your network. Try restarting your WiFi router by removing power for 30 seconds. If that does not help check for a firmware update for your router. If none exists which corrects the problem consider replacing the router.
    If your iPad does not function well on other networks it possibly has a hardware problem. You could try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings to see if that corrects the problem. If not, contact Apple Support or visit an Apple store for evaluation. They can provide a replacement if your iPad is bad.
    If you need more help please give the make, model, and version of your WiFi router and how you have it configured.

  • I was told by Borders customer service that I have to add them as a "trusted site" to avoid an error message when sttempting to use the shopping cart. Is this true, and how do I do it?

    When I go to "checkout" on Borders.com, I get an error message. The message is as follows:

    I have tried refreshing, clearing cookies, and everything I can think of. Customer service told me it had to do with security settings, and that I had to add it to my trusted sites. I have never had to do this before, so I'm jsut wondering if this was true, and how to do it.

    Are they multi-function units? Do they include a scanner? Most people call these multi-function copiers, not printers. Printers don't have a scanner in them.
    Give us some specifics as to the brands and models you have tried.

    Could somebody help me to resolve this problem:
    I try to add via SDK (using ItemWarehouseInfo object) existing item to existing warehouse - OITW table (our SBO v.2004 configured to not open automatically all warehouses for all items). - like via Item card user adds manually warehouse code in the stock tab. There is code i use:
    if oItems.GetByKey("ItemCode")
        oItems.WhsInfo.WarehouseCode = "WarehouseCode"
        oItems.WhsInfo.Add()
        oItems.Update()
    endif
    but SDK instead of add new record to the OITW replaces existing record with other warehouse code (like update).
    What have i do to resolve this issue ?

    new records are not added in OITW when you add existing items to existing warehouses. OITW will have new records only when you create new warehouse through UI or SDK. in all transaction that follow, the respective warehouse quantity in OITW will be updated. how about using StockTransfer  object? it does what you want.

    I have the exact same issue.
    When a user tries to follow some document or site, the same error occurs. When I look at the personal site of the user, the "Social" list is missing.
    When I have another user do the same thing, it works! The Social list for that user is there.
    The difference between the 2 users:
    The user where the issue occurs => mysite has been upgraded from SharePoint 2010
    The user where the issue doesn't occur => mysite has been created after the upgrade to SharePoint 2013.
    So, I tried to delete the mysite of the user who had the issue and let him recreate it by visiting the MySite host and now it works!
    The thing is... I have 100 users having the same issue and a lot of them are actually using their mysite, so deleting those mysites is not really an option.
    I have 2 questions:
    1. why is that "Social" list not created when mysites are upgraded from SharePoint 2010?
    2. Can I trigger some process which fixes this for existing sites?

    It sounds like you are unable to join your network and cannot see it in the Wi-Fi list in Settings. I would try the troubleshooting outlined in this article named:
    iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections

    Be sure you're in range of your Wi-Fi router (access point).
    Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your Wi-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.
    Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and cable or DSL modem are connected to power, turned on, and connected to the Internet. If not, refer to your network administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for assistance.
    Restart your iOS device.
    Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
    Tap and Forget this Network.
    Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
    Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one.
    Turn your Wi-Fi router off and on2. If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
    Update your device to the latest version of software.

    You may the sort set to Custom. Click the dropdown menu on the toolbar (to the right of the word sort) and change to capture time.
    If you can’t see the toolbar above the filmstrip press the T key. Press T again to hide.

    I figured it out.  Go to the website you want to save to Top Sites.  Click on Bookmarks, click Add Bookmark, a small window comes up saying "Add this page to: ", click the arrows for the drop down menu and click Top Sites and OK.  Then your site will be added to your Top Sites.  :-)
